Who's watching Dustin Poirier VS Conor McGregor ? a little disappointed, fight had to stop when McGregor injured his leg and Poirier as the winner I think this fight will be repeated next year or in the near future because it's unsatisfactory can't watch the actual fight.
I did not see the fight live but when i woke up today i already had the notifications on my phone about McGregors fractured leg. The picture really does look horrible and of course it is sad for the fans that the fight had to be stopped in the first round already. It's probably also very annoying for the UFC i guess because they hyped up this fight for weeks now and then we get this unsatisfying result. At least they have a chance and a reason now to go for a fourth fight between those two because McGregor already told Poirier that he is not done with him, so he already started the marketing again . The fracture seems to be not to bad as it was already put in place in the ring already and i am pretty sure that McGregor can fight again next year.

What the.
That hurts Conor when I've seen how his leg break. My jaw is dropping! It would be a long time to heal that broken legs of his.
Truly more than an ouch.
The key to Dustin Poirier victory in today's match was his left hand jab which managed to knock Conor McGregor down in the first round, it looks like the hit was so strong that Conor McGregor looked staggered, and with today fight results will allow Conor McGregor to rest for a long time and realized he is no longer a scary fighter in the ring and to be honest I was actually hoping the fight would last a few more rounds but it turned out to be short, I think from today onwards Conor McGregor will never again berate his opponent before the fight starts and Of course Dustin Poirier left jab managed to silence all the bullshit Conor McGregor has done so far. He really has to rest for a long time. The process of healing his ankle won't be that easy unless there are medicines that will fasten the recovery. I know that there are and there will be a way to hasten his healing. But it's better to be sure on his end to take his recovery first and put himself away from UFC or even in any drama.

snip Thank you for your analyze, as I understand you won't take this treble even with the bonus. Personally I think there is some value in this parlay @10.22 bonus included then I took it. UFC264 has started and the fight between Jennifer Maia and Jessica Eye has been very bloody for a woman fight, the audience was shocked. I just go with the flow on who I think is going to win but, good job in going on with the bonus and just giving my side on what I think with what may happen and who's going to win, the Maia Fight was pretty tough they keep on exchanging blows and that cut that Jessica Eye looks really bad, and it really looks like an eye, but apart from that fight I never expect Kunitskaya to lose. Conor McGregor VS Dustin PoirierMy take on this fight, I really think that Conor McGregor does well in throwing that kicks but still, it is not enough Poirier is able to pressure McGregor so heavily that Conor had needed a breather from their fight, and from that takedown of Dustin, Conor had a hold on to Dustin Gloves and Poirier had talked to the ref. but Herb Dean had a controversial call there and allow Conor to cheat so that injury of McGregor might be a karma kick in, Although I have bet on Poirier I think the fight could go on a different route if wasn't for that injury still not a good way to win but that is what happens and feel sorry for McGregor yes he deserve losing to Poirier but not like this.

Might be true. McGregor is one of the UFC's top five most-viewed PPV fights so it makes sense that he will receive more and the gap is really large. And I agree with some analysts that without McGregor, Poirier wouldn’t even be making 1m a fight. Anyways, no official source about how much exactly they made. Maybe in the following days, related information about it will be released.

Well, it seems that is it for Conor. I mean, at least when it comes to being a champ ever again. Don't know if he0s even eyeing that spot or not, but if he is content on fighting somewhere around the top 10, then by all means, but anything besides that, nope. What did him in was probably the combination of things, he was somewhat inactive from 2016 - 2021 (4 fights) and his style got figured out. Nothing wrong with that, the game evolves. I still liked how he incorporated kicks and yes, it was a freak accident, but it's hard to believe the result would be any different hadn't it happen. Still enjoyed every fight he has been in and I think he gave the sport a boost in popularity in otherwise wouldn't have, seeing 99% of the roster has the personality of a coffee mug.
As for being inactive and getting figured out, well, Ryan Hall, welcome to 2021. You had your chance but kept mainly inactive enough to let the world catch up to leg locks and your style of fighting. We can all thank the Danaher Death Squad for that.

I guess McGregor would still be happy because he made $20M in this fight, though he loses if he will heal soon then he can make a fight because he is still popular. Some say he is over, well, let's wait until McGregor would announce that.
It's premature to say that Mcgregor career is over the fight is even and Mcgregor is fighting a great fight until that accident happens, on that fight, it's dead even for me, Mcgregor can still comeback although it will take a few months before he can, he can still fight, only a knock out can make him disappear in MMA. As long as there are still people who want to watch his fight and as long as he can still fight, then will surely come back. It doesn't matter if he wins or loses a fight, he would still make big money after all. The injury he suffered was caused by him, so probably it's not that serious but it needs to be operated. For now, we have proven that Dustin Poirier is the greater fighter as he won the trilogy, and for sure he will be more popular and will get good fights, with that, his value will increase, and will receive a good paycheck next time.

Well, that wasn't a great night for me as a fan with Ryan Hall getting knocked out, Wonderboy being pretty much dominated, and Conor breaking his ankle. I'll still support the three on their next fights, and I'm hoping that Ryan Hall can get a lot more fights than he has been, I don't agree with the narrative that fighters are scared to fight him though, he is pretty one dimensional, although very good at what he does.
Wonderboy didn't do overly bad, but once it hit the mat Burns pretty much dominated. I didn't like the back of the head strikes towards the end of the third round, and I feel that could have potentially been a point deducted as there were a lot of heavy, heavy shots to the bank of the head.
Conor was doing okay up until he wasn't. I felt like he was dominating the stand up, and it really did look like he came to hurt Poirer this time around. Poirer taking it to the ground was wise, and while he was on top, he was getting lit up himself on the ground, so I thought it was fairly even. Poirer took some big elbows, and also gave some big elbows. Okay, he did win the round, but they had both taken damage up to this point, and Conor wasn't out of it. The last exchange, before fighters missed fractionally, and either of them landed there, and it could have been goodnight either way, its just unfortunate that Conor snapped his ankle.
I get the animosity towards Conor, but if I wasn't a fan of him, which I do love his fighting style, and I can't just ignore he probably is one of the most exciting fighters to enter the UFC, I'd at least want to see him get convincingly beaten by Poirer via a knockout or a submission. Its just a shame it happened that way, I saw a few comments that Poirier was close to knocking him out at the end of the round, but for those that didn't watch the replay, they both missed their shots in that exchange, the only reason Conor went down, and stayed down was due to his ankle.
Both were in it up until that point, and I felt like we had a war coming. I can't write Conor off, that fight was competitive, and it could have gone either way. It looked like a few times that Poirier got hurt while on top due to the elbows, and Conor was narrowly escaping those big elbows coming down on him, well at least partially.
Tired today though, man its always annoying staying up all night, getting all excited, and feeling those pre fight nerves, and it ends like that.

And someone is very happy that Conor lost: $50k bet and win $35k. https://twitter.com/ESPNRingside/status/1414117002516393985I don't think that Conor's career will be over, for sure he will come back and probably get an easy fight first. But he is already on the downside of his career, might be just fighting for the money because he is still the cash cow win or lose.

McGregor predicted that Poirier will go out in a stretcher but it's the other way around, the fight could have been excited if not for that accident, I thought Poirier will submit on McGregor neck choke but he is really goods at jiujitsu that he easily escape it, I don't see a fourth fight here Poirier wins the trilogy, he really matured and he turns to be a great fighter after that first McGregor fight, I also agree that he will have a better paycheck next time than the one he got from this fight.

But he is already on the downside of his career, might be just fighting for the money because he is still the cash cow win or lose. If Conor McGregor can understand the fact that the 155 pound division is not his and willing to move down to 145 pound division where he actually dominated and Dana White has another excuse to say to hype up his next fight that he broke his leg if not he would have won . The next thing Conor McGregor needs to do is either challenge Nate Diaz and if that fails he needs to retire. ~

It was a great prediction by Conor McGregor, his mystic Mac prediction still works but this time the opposite happened

Ryan Hall VS Ilia TopuriaI think Ryan Hall is an open book for Topuria, the fight was way easy for him and Ilia Topuria didn't need to use all of his tools for Hall, But I haven't really seen this coming that the wizard Ryan Hall has become a redundant fighter, always doing the Imanari Roll but Ilia Topuria is seeing all of the things he might do, Don't get me wrong I am on Ryan Hall at first when I have seen that he is going back to UFC because I would like to see another leg lock and how the wizard is doing it without fail, but after researching Ilia Topuria and looking on Topuria's previous matches I have seen that Topuria have plenty of things technically that Ryan Hall doesn't have, that is why Ilia Topuria have fight patiently and wisely against Hall. Gilbert Burns VS Stephen ThompsonI also Bet that Wonderboy could win this and I thought that his takedown defense is pretty good against Burns but Gilbert Burns just pinning down Thompson so much ruining his momentum that is how Gilbert Burns has won the judges decisions.

Conor tried to kick Dustin during staredown with left leg. During the fight his ankle broke down. Isnt that a proof that karma exist? Im sure that this is it with Conor. With each fight he looked worse and worse. I think that he will retire. When he heals his injury, it will take time and no one will give him top contenders anymore.
haha yes really karma says it's not over yet mcgregor yes we shouldn't underestimate he is a really good fighter, he continues training from where he left off after he gets better. He got too excited, I think it was weird for me that he had such a ridiculous injury. But I don't think he will catch dustin after that, at least 1 tko against dustin.

During the interview just after Dustin declared as the winner, he said Conor is a dirtbag, he meant a lot because he knows the attitude of Conor. If you'll ask me, I think Conor deserves that loss because Dustin is a great fighter, and just like what Khabib to him, he punished those who disrespect him. Conor is the most disrespectful fighter I know, maybe even outside the sports as there are a lot of reports where he is involved in something that destroys his reputation.

I am sure Poirier will get some extra money from the pay-per-view buys but that still seems like a really low purse for a fight of this magnitude. If you compare this to boxing, Canelo's opponents are getting close to $10 million. Even if McGregor recovers quickly I don't see things going much better for him. In each loss he's had recently he's gotten his ass kicked badly and that will really diminish a fighter.

These MMA fighters should have a shin conditioning regiment similar to Thai boxers. We cannot expect these type of injuries to stop in the octagon if the fighters have not done the proper conditioning. Conor’s shin was not hard enough for execution of that type of technique.
This. I said the same thing too in the past... There’s a method to make your shin harder and ready to do all out hard leg kicks. Basically what they do is to cause micro fractures to happen to the bone and letting them heal to make them like they’re ‘calloused’. So there’s a thin layer of bone on top of the bone. How many leg breaks have we seen in a span of one year? Three? Gyms should train their fighters for calf kicks not aim for the knee like McGregor did. Those are easy to check.

Ryan Hall VS Ilia Topuria
I think Ryan Hall is an open book for Topuria, the fight was way easy for him and Ilia Topuria didn't need to use all of his tools for Hall, But I haven't really seen this coming that the wizard Ryan Hall has become a redundant fighter, always doing the Imanari Roll but Ilia Topuria is seeing all of the things he might do, Don't get me wrong I am on Ryan Hall at first when I have seen that he is going back to UFC because I would like to see another leg lock and how the wizard is doing it without fail, but after researching Ilia Topuria and looking on Topuria's previous matches I have seen that Topuria have plenty of things technically that Ryan Hall doesn't have, that is why Ilia Topuria have fight patiently and wisely against Hall.
Hall is an open book to most of the modern MMA fighters. He will still be able to beat people, sure, but those have to be outside the top 10 imho. The fighting game caught up with his fighting style and he really didn't evolve to compensate. Not really room for him to go anywhere in the UFC at the moment...other organizations, maybe...

These MMA fighters should have a shin conditioning regiment similar to Thai boxers. We cannot expect these type of injuries to stop in the octagon if the fighters have not done the proper conditioning. Conor’s shin was not hard enough for execution of that type of technique.
I agree but I don't think that not every fighter is going to agree with doing that training because I am pretty sure it will be a grueling months for them. Plus the conditioning should be multi purpose because you condition it just to strengthen it or harden it then what's the point. By the way, has anyone seen Poirier donning a t-shirt with Crypto.com in it?

I guess that's what he wanted to portray in the ring, and it's very effective as he become one of the most bankable MMA fighter in recent generations. So he doesn't concern him about his reputations, it's all ego for him. And with what we have seen on Conor, I guess every trainer now will have to sort out their regimen for their fighter on how to strengthen their shin. Just like what boxers try to with their abs to make it stronger for body punch. I saw Manny Pacquiao doing like bamboo sticks training.

People retire with the age of 60 without $20M. Its definitely worth the fight fod Mcgregor. its said he had done a lot for the sport. He wouldn't be the same fighter anymore after this. I wouldn't expect him to fight again. He wouldn't want to see himself end up like the old athletes who retirs with so much loss.
