Ich war 2017 zwei Wochen in Island im Urlaub. Kann ich jeden sehr empfehlen. Die Insel besteht im Prinzip nur aus Vulkanen. Bei den obligatorischen Besuch der Geysire kommt man früher oder später immer an so kleineren Geothermie-Anlagen vorbei. Fand ich hochspannend. Die haben da quasi unendlich Energie, auch wenn insbesondere bei der Wasserkraft auch stark in die Natur eingegriffen wird. Sollte sich das mit dem Wasserstoff durchsetzen, könnte Island wirklich so ein Produktionshub werden, mit der perfekten Anbindung nach Europa und Nordamerika.
