1441  Economy / Speculation / Re: Starting to Think The Bottom May Be Close? on: January 13, 2023, 10:58:59 AM
I didn't think that the lowest bitcoin price was $16k because the bitcoin price could touch below $16k at any time. The current price is not impossible to fall even deeper, but the question is, have you bought bitcoin at every lower price?

But indeed, the situation in this new year is getting better than last year because we can see a slight increase in the price of bitcoin. But that does not mean we will continue to see the price of bitcoin increase because any increase will surely face a correction for a while. You can still collect more bitcoins because the price has not yet reached $20k and the current price is still worth buying for you and all of us.

Back in June indicators like RSI signaled market had dipped to its lowest. Apparently, it didn't rise up after a few weeks, and then by November it goes to $15K. It could be the bottom already yet the market is very unpredictable. The FED they said will pivot which was also anticipated to happen, I guess that will be the moment the financial guys are saying.

If it goes below $15K in a few weeks, then we are really going to be seeing Bitcoin bottom on the monthly chart which had not yet happened in the history of BTC.
The movement of bitcoin seems to be affected by news from the FED so that it inhibits the price of bitcoin from increasing and it seems that there is indeed an intention to hold the price of bitcoin so that it does not rise first because the global situation is still uncertain. But in the future, I'm sure that when the time comes, the price of bitcoin will go up high and nothing can prevent it. And when the bitcoin price starts to increase, it will surely make many people who don't believe in bitcoin be surprised and amazed by the power of bitcoin. But we don't expect the bitcoin price to drop to $15k in the next few weeks.

It did increase though right? from $16k we have move up to $19k although there could be downward pressure in the weekend pulling the price to $18k++. Still this is a very positive outlook at the start of the year.

If you are talking about the future, maybe after the block halving, then definitely the price will increase ten folds as we will officially enter the bull market by that time. So short term, let's see $20k if that is possible or not. We don't need to force it this month though.
1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 13, 2023, 10:41:55 AM
There is someone who I have always said, boxing, despite the fact that it has a lot to do with physicality, can be won but obtaining a lot of intelligence, and I have known that for a long time, and here in the forum they have let me know, nothing else I can do Name a fairly intelligent boxer like Mayweather, the day he fought Pacquiao, I didn't like that fight because I knew he was running all over the ring and Pacquiao was just looking for him, 'Mayweather only fought in a very technical way and That made him win, even though for me it was the worst fight in the world, years later I came to understand that Mayeweather knew that his best option was not a hand-to-hand confrontation, because he might have lost, but on a technical level he had the advantage .

Aside from Mayweather's advantage when it comes to technicalities, he also got a good defense that enables him to create a counter punch every time that he's engaged. The fact that he mastered the Philly Shell makes him already an intelligent boxer, and I think that's what makes Devin Haney to practice under Mayweather even if he's not under his promotional banner.

And I agree, that fight was even dubbed as a fight of the century but what we saw was not really enticing and that the fight labeled like that was somehow inappropriate. People wanted an all-out fight and if that happened, Pacquiao will surely win but Mayweather was clever enough to despite the pressure around him.

Haney has that defensive skills as well, might not look very polished as like the Mayweather because you have to understand that his uncle Roger was one of the first to used this Philly Shell that was pass on Floyd by his uncle and his father trainer, so we could say that he perfect this defensive stance that others just wanted to copy from him but failed. So for sure Tank knows this from Floyd himself when he was under his promotional company and we can see some of it on his stance in his last couple of fights.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 13, 2023, 10:00:29 AM
...
I think Spurs have enough salary cap to offer him a better contract.
They're not the team that spends outrageous amount of money that easily so they definitely have some space. Their projected available cap is around $27.1 million while maximum possible is around $49.8 million https://www.spotrac.com/nba/san-antonio-spurs/cap/

Those above figures looks better than Clarkson's current salary at Jazz. The man is probably playing it smart if his rumored extension decline is true. He knows he's not getting any ring soon so why not have a bigger pay day while he still has something to offer?

But the San Antonio Spurs aren't actually trying to acquire Clarkson, are they? I mean, I haven't read some teams that has surfaced on the internet who are trying to acquire him. As of now, Clarkson is not yet interested in the Utah Jazz's offer to him and I've read that the said team are rebuffing the offer to get Clarkson interested.

Quote
Stein later reported that Clarkson is seeking an extension worth about $18-20 million per year — in other words, more than the Jazz can legally offer right now.
https://www.sltrib.com/sports/jazz/2023/01/12/why-would-jordan-clarkson-rebuff/

This means we won't be seeing him in Jazz uniform anymore. I don't know what would happen to the Jazz without him because I'm sure you observe that once Clarkson is on the floor, the flow of offense is very good. He has actually improve himself to be an all-around player, he does not only produce points but also very effective being a facilitator.

Isn't it the Jazz has a complete change in their roster? they don't have Mitchell anymore and yet they are not tanking. So maybe if JC leaves then they can fight a good trade or replacement for him and become the new Jazz team. It's just how they are going to adjust next if ever he goes on another team. He has been scoring more than this season because as I have said, Donovan is no longer with the Jazz and he become the main scorer and facilitator now.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Video how i turn 0.3 ethereum into 0.6 ethereum in dice on: January 13, 2023, 09:47:03 AM
Just because you doubled your money once, doesn't mean you have a winning formula. Can you do it consecutively, all the time? I highly doubt it. Dice is not a game of skill, it's a game of chance, and it's all about luck. It's not something you can control or predict. So, while you may have had a lucky roll this time, don't get too cocky. Because when it comes to dice, the house always wins.

Right, dice game is base on pure luck so the OP might have that in his side when he played. Not the first time though that the OP has showed us his big winnings but there were also post of him losing big money and ranting about it if I'm not mistaken.

So I will say that you have to get to used to him, whether he is cocky or not, it's up to us whether we follow him specially his MMA tips.
1445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would someone send 4 BTC to Satoshi (Genesis block) on: January 13, 2023, 09:34:06 AM
It's either the user:

1. accidentally send the wrong amount to the genesis block as we all know that everyone wants to be part of history by sending some change amount, but not this huge.

2. probably he is rich through bitcoin and wanted to send appreciation to the man himself, as his invention help him become a self made millionaire or even billionaire for that matter.
1446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what price would you sell? on: January 12, 2023, 09:05:32 AM
Like me, I am trying to accumulate bitcoins during this down season, and my plan is to sell them when the bull season comes. For example, the bull season is in 2025, then I will sell them for x2 or x3 profit, and I will keep waiting for the bears to come to accumulate bitcoins again. The market only has 2 up and down cycles, so just do it right, buy when the price drops and sell when the price goes up, we have succeeded. Don't try to think too highly to make things more complicated.
It is key to have a long term plan which at the same time is down to earth when it comes to the profits we expect to get, it is common on the altcoin section to read the posts of newbies which are looking for huge profits in a very short amount of time, you have way more experience which is why your plan is no only way easier to follow, as it is very simple, but it will also be very likely that you will obtain your desired results, and while 2x or 3x may seem low to some this is very high as it can take you years or even a decade to get those profits in other markets.

Well the lowest low for this year is around $15k so if by chance in the next bull run with will see like $150k-$180k or higher, then it's a good thing to invest today still as the price is very cheap and you an achieved that kind of profits or even higher.

So I do agree with people who accumulates in this bear market. This is just the chance in this cycle to save as much as we can and look at where the next bull run with take us. It could be x10 or something like that, so that is huge profit for all of us.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Not To Use Mobile Altcoin Wallet - But Use Desktop Wallet on: January 12, 2023, 08:12:45 AM
Mobile altcoin wallets are not safe, because there are viruses and malware targeting mobile phones. The best way would be use desktop wallet versions. Also antivirus soft are mainly developed for desktop.

I'm not sure what you mean here, for me the threat is the same, regardless of you are using mobile or desktop wallet, as both for sure are always connected to the internet.

And some anti-virus can be bypass by this hackers, as they are one step of the game here. Unless you use a airgapped PC as your desktop or sort of hardware wallet. The thing is that we should always knows the safety practices and we need to keep a separate desktop if we can for our crypto related task.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 12, 2023, 07:07:26 AM
Man what an ugly game by the Bulls tonight. I am glad I didn’t put down any more btc on it than I did.  They might not have Demar right now, but they don’t need him to be beating teams like the freakin Washington Wizards.  All I can do as a Bulls fan right now is sit and hope for Ball to come back and everyone be healthy, then maybe they’ll have something.

I agree, I put some money on them handicap man, ouch, they have a big lead that they squandered and they think they can just go back and fight it out in the 4th quarter. They were outscored 41-21 in the 3rd? it's either they didn't play defense or that Wizard is very lucky to hit most of their shot, high percentage shot inside and outside. I might stay away from beating on them because of this performance. I think even without DeMar they can beat a tired Wizard team without Porzingis and Beal at the lineup.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: January 12, 2023, 06:50:21 AM
Just like other fans, I'm gonna be biased here and will root for Loma. Maybe he is passed his prime but his IQ is still there and 34 isn't old enough as other boxers at his age are still doing pretty well too. Let's not forget Pacquiao passed his prime and still manage to win by a split decision at age 40.
No, 34 years old is still prime age... I would say 40 years old is where their power and stamina are greatly decrease. Just look GGG is still active fighting and he would likely want to challenge a champion at 40 years old.

Although Haney has all the advantage, reach, size, youth except I think is the experience where Loma has the advantage, many believes that the fighting style and ring adaptiveness of Loma is superb,  I also want to see Loma win this upcoming fight.
Yeah, Loma was built different, I don't find any good boxer that similar with him because most of them has reach advantage and young. So much respect to Loma even though he doesn't own any title anymore, it's his time to get back all his titles after losing to Lopez.

But GGG's wear and tear is somehow evident and he's not that agile anymore compared to his younger years or when he was still under 35 years old considering that he's already at the age of 40, but considering that age, GGG can still move well and give some good punch that will question his opponent if he's indeed already 40 years old. Murata is a good example for that.

Regarding this fight, I know you guys are rooting for Loma here but I will go for the opposite camp where Haney is situated. Just can't help to be with the kid especially after seeing some of his fights, recently. He's just too confident because he's good at technical and his defense are quite impressive as well.

Yeah, wear and tear, or what we call Father time, no one can defeat that and we have seen GGG slowing down once he reach the age of 35 and up. Although eh keeps on winning, he no longer has that power to put his opponent with his one power.

And this could be evident in Loma in his last fight against Ortiz. If Ortiz could have the experience, who knows, maybe he could have upset Loma that time and get the victory. But this time, it's against a prime Haney that Loma will have to face, so it's going to be a big test for him whether we've seen some signs of deterioration and because of age, or Loma can still pull the trigger against a young opponent.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: January 09, 2023, 10:56:36 AM
It was the 9th round. The official time was it had 13 seconds in round 9 before it was stopped. I have won my bet on over 7.5 rounds.

I am not quite certain why Hector Garcia's team stopped the fight. He did not appear to be tired although he  appeared affected by the last punches from Tank in round 8, however, I do not reckon it was enough to stop the fight.

It wasn't the team of Hector Garcia that actually stopped the fight. It was Hector Garcia himself who quit and told his corner to stop the fight. Round 8 was really terrible for him. Tank landed heavy shots to his open head causing Garcia to lose vision. Garcia complained that he couldn't see anymore.

I think it was a good decision for Hector. He could have pushed through with the fight but he would only be punished more. Tank gets more explosive as the rounds get by.

Congratulations for your win.

He said he can't see so that's it, he quit because the punch really hurt him to the point wherein it's bothering him and he might take more damage from the eye if he didn't quit or the corner didn't stop him.

And Garcia has no power to damage Tank, yes he has a good timing, but Tank timing is really good that he was a able to dodge some shots and if he was hit, it doesn't have that effect to his chin. Although in the post fight press conference, you can clearly see some redness and scratch in his face.
1451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Vision on: January 09, 2023, 09:40:16 AM
I think you are kinda late though? I mean it's already 2023 and you are asking for Bitcoin-SV?

As others have said, it's an obvious scam and in the beginning it try to challenge the real Bitcoin and even put the name of Satoshi himself in which we all know are not the true vision of the legendary man.

And as you can see from the reply of most members here, this project doesn't sit good with us because it's obvious rip off of the original and you can see it from yourself that this project has somewhat died or close to being "just another altcoin" argument.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 08, 2023, 09:59:20 AM
There are accusations that have or cannot be resolved because they always ended up with your words against their words, players show screenshots of your proofs and even take up or accept KYC but in casinos cases, they just hold on to their words that the player has cheated, manipulated or exploited a bug without showing strong evidence like screenshots of the log they just hiding in their defense that they cannot show proofs and add further to protect the integrity of their platform, so the accusations remain open.
Many casino's defenses are like that.

And that is why we have casino's on the top tier as far as reputation goes and majority of us uses them here. So it's really up to you, even if the top tier casinos have accusations, depends whether you want to trust and use their system just because of this accusations.

And I'm not sure, I don't have the numbers but usually those who accused casinos have been caught red handed with cheating and yet they don't want to admit that and still pursue the case, just saying.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A superstitious strategy? on: January 08, 2023, 09:29:09 AM
Well as a gamblers there are a lot of superstitions that we believed, I even see someone like holding some amulet or something when they go and play slots, lol. Nevertheless gambling is still based on luck, perhaps we just want to find ways to explain our losing and winning and we blame it all on some belief, specially some higher UP that might change the course of the game in our favor. And so if you feel that you are unlucky then you should stop so that their will be no more bleeding and play the next day and test again.
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: January 08, 2023, 08:27:53 AM
Everyone is talking about Tank Davis, however, it appears that much of us fans of boxing in the forum did not notice a very important fight for the IBF welterweight division. This is Boots Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhyan for the IBF interim welterweight championship.

Why the interim welterweight championship for IBF? This is because Errol Spence cannot make a mandatory defense for his IBF championship because he has another mandatory defense for his WBC championship. The IBF is also very strict and force Errol Spence to make his next mandatory defense against Boots Ennis or give the championship to Ennis.

I am very excited for this because I have told everyone many times that Boots Ennis is the boxer who can win against the kings of welterweight, Spence and Crawford.

In any case, my prediction is Boots will knockout Karen in round 1.

That's what they say, Boots is feared by many in the division. High risk for Karen. Boots stepping up against Spence or Crawford will be a bigger fight, but he can't be that comfortable at 147 against the top contender may at 154. There is just no offer for money to make but I think he'll get there after Ortiz.

This is not the highlight because Tank is the main event. Too late to create a thread.

I am not quite certain why anyone would consider if Chukhadzhyan is high risk or not because he is certainly a type of opponent who is below Boots' previous 2 opponents. He might also not be the main event, however, I reckon that he might give a better show than Tank Davis hehe. I speculate Hector Garcia might make it difficult for Davis and this fight might end with a decision. My bet is over 7.5 rounds.

It was Davis who win, Garcia didn't make it to the 8th rounds as he complain that he can't see. By the time of the stoppage, he was behind the scorecard of the 3 judges, so this win setup Davis for a Ryan Garcia fight sometime in the next couple of months.

In the Ennis vs Chukhadzhyan the outcome was not surprising, although Chukhadzhyan extended Ennis the full distance for the first time in his career. So no statement win for him. Nevertheless a win is a win.
1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get a hardware wallet in a bitcoin banned country? on: January 07, 2023, 12:06:22 PM
Since the failure of centralized exchange (CEX) adoption, those holding cryptocurrencies have been far more concerned about storing cryptocurrencies on centralized exchanges. I am one of the many holders in this regard. I store all my cryptocurrencies in Binance and Kucoin centralized exchanges, not in any other wallets.  I know keeping cryptocurrency in an online wallet is the same thing as keeping money in someone else's pocket.  But I don't know what to do, especially since cryptocurrency is completely illegal in my country, I can't share any steps directly with anyone.  Especially if he gets involved in legal trouble in my country, his life will end completely.  In this case I am looking for suggestions from senior members on how to get a hardware wallet completely hidden from the public eye.  Hardware wallets are commercially available here and there in other countries but hardware wallets are not commercially available in our country.  So can you give me a proper suggestion on how I can purchase a hardware wallet completely safely.

Possible to look for local sellers? at least trusted one before you buy a hardware for you. How about Amazon though?

And in any case, maybe you can read this one, https://www.ledger.com/academy/buying-a-ledger-from-a-third-party

Specially on how to spot a tampered Ledger or any hardware wallet. I will also refer you to this board if you have like technical questions,

1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: January 07, 2023, 10:56:48 AM

Bear market came for a long time and it is necessary to be ready for it. In such situation it is necessary to be adopted for the bear market and continue to promote the project in all conditions offering useful tools and products and bonuses like this https://coinplay.com/bonus/welcome_bonus_casino_betting

Bear market is very difficult time for all cryptocurrency projects. It is very hard to attract money for development and many projects stop their developments because there are enough funds and support of community.

Because nobody knows how long the bear market will last it is very important to continue to develop the project during the bear market. Only the best projects will be able to survive during the bear market.

Yes, but projects can only do as much, if there are no backings, and if the price is not moving, some exchanges might delist them. So even if they are working very hard their project might not go end up very well.

But if they have perseverance and have the support, hopefully they can survived this bear market.

Maybe just another 15 months to go for us because by May next year the bitcoin halving will occur, and the bull run might commence after that.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: January 07, 2023, 10:31:24 AM
Looking at the last fight of Loma, I think he is not in his prime anymore. The early 30s to mid-30s are the most common for most boxers to lose their primes. I believe Haney will be the stronger and faster guy and he will win against this version of Loma. As a huge fan of Loma since the start of his pro career, I hate to see him lose. Maybe Haney cannot make the weight and just move up. Cheesy

Haha you got me there! Grin

But anyway, I agree with you and as a fan of Lomachenko, it's really hard to see him on this phase where his prime years has ended quite early than expected despite the fact that he's still on his early 30s. I'm expecting that he will at least achieve the rank of Devin Haney before his career goes down but I think that's too much to ask because his recent fight reveals that he's not the kind of Loma we used to know. Devin Haney will definitely win this fight as Loma's sole advantage is his IQ in the ring, which Haney also got it and explains why he got the rank of being the undisputed in the lightweight division.

Not be easy for Haney to just move up in weight and forget about Loma or make it easy for Loma to take all the belts because that's what his goal is at 135 lbs. Loma is known as hi-tech so that says its, he is on a different level as setting up his power punches, the angle and the intangibles in the fight. So we shouldn't discount him just because of his last poor showing against a big and young fighter in Ortiz.

Well, there's only one way to find out if Loma is indeed way over his prime these days. I agree, let's just give the man some time to adjust because he's was probably struggling in that fight as he was away for some time because of the war that broke out in the north. Not underestimating him either, but just like how you describe Haney, he is truly different from the rest which explains why he is the undisputed in the lightweight division. It will be a tough challenge for Loma to fight a boxer that has an upgraded version of what he was in his younger years.

I do agree that Haney is different as compare to other champions, just like Floyd, only not a big puncher but he win fights by this defense first and then to counter. So it's just a question on how Loma has adjusted since his fight with Ortiz because we have to admit he didn't look good that some sports fans and analyst say that he is not his prime anymore. But we will see, this fight is for the undisputed and if Loma is really what he is, then he can go a notch on his skills and beat a prime Devin Haney.
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 07, 2023, 09:52:16 AM
A very bad loss for the Philadelphia 76ers against the Chicago Bulls.
That's how bad it gets whenever Joel Embiid is out. They got close to 8 points deficit but Zach LaVine didn't let them get too near. 41 points for Zach and it came mostly from his 11/13 three-point shooting. Wow!  Shocked

Yeah, I think without Joel, it will take a lot of effort from Harden to win this game against a tough Chicago Bulls. They have some momentum now going into this game and they carry it very well.

Lavine really takes over the game, but he has a lot of help from Vucevic, Patrick Williams and of course DeRozan.

Great escape win by the Knicks as well against the Raptors. Toronto coming back and cut the lead to 4, but was unable to score in the last 11 seconds as Barnes shot was too strong.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 07, 2023, 09:31:54 AM
Well there is a new name popping around recently that Canelo is interested on fighting British contender John Ryder.

For sure it won't sit well on the winner of this fight, because we wanted if David Benavidez wins here, to fight Canelo. So it's a surprised if indeed Canelo will skip Bivol in his comeback fight and step aside the winner here and fight John Ryder.

I wouldn't be surprised though as we all know that Canelo is recovering from his injuries so he might as well take a light opponent first before taking either the winner of this fight or again avenge his defeat to Bivol.

As far as I know, Eddie Hearn and Canelo Alvarez's camp have said last year that Canelo won't be fighting a direct heavy opponent after his surgery because they needed to get him back to his feet first just to be safe and that he will be given a tune-up fight before he decides to face the winner of Plant-Benavidez fight or go for a rematch with Bivol. So, I'm thinking that maybe this is what they meant that time because John Ryder is not that kind of a risk to Canelo's throne, but I found out that Ryder have the WBO interim belt which kind of confusing.

Probably, but let's see how Canelo critics will take this, for sure they will give a lot of negative press for Canelo in he chooses this fighter. Which I had to admit I have to check his boxrec to see if he is worthy.

So he is the interim WBO belt, but it doesn't matter, but now we all know what they are fighting him. It's because of his injury and yeah probably a tune up and test how his hands were after the surgery. Maybe after this one he will fight either Bivol or the winner here. Canelo as well said that he wants to fight 3x a year so that is about the possibility for this year or at least 3x fight within 12 months.

Well, if Canelo can manage to make this tune-up fight happen before the 1st quarter of this year ends then I think he can do three fights this year. But that still depends though if how this fight will turns out because this is still a test for Canelo to see if his hands are working fine or should he needed some more rest to recover from the surgery. Either way, he will be fighting the winner of this fight or Bivol, that's for sure. The question is, who will be fighting first.

I agree, but for sure when he will fight when there is a green light from his doctor. But nevertheless it's a big risk for him as it might reoccur and that's why they are thinking of having just a easy and get busy fight with Ryder, (assuming this will be the case).

If Bivol decided to go down to 168 lbs and fight Canelo then for sure the belt of Canelo will be on the line, otherwise it's no point for Bivol to go down to 168 lbs because that is a big risk for him.
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto payments for online purchases: Trends in 2022 on: January 06, 2023, 10:28:28 AM
This is the classic example of a crypto adoption, sooner or later if people around the world will take advantage of crypto as a online crypto payment then the trend will continue. The problem is just online retailers doesn't want to accept it right away. So just imagine if Amazon will suddenly change their stance and allow let's say Bitcoin or Ethereum as a gateway payment, it will be huge for us.

So let's see how it goes, I mean that there are websites that directly or indirectly accepts crypto as payment.

But still a small percentage if I'm not mistaken.
