1761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: March 23, 2023, 02:13:50 PM
Another good fight, but it's really risky for Lopez to take this challenge, he's like beat the best boxer in light welterweight. However he reminds me when he take a challenge to fight with Lomachenko, where at that time Lomachenko is the best boxer in lightweight. The difference is Lopez was beat every boxers easily before fight with Lomachenko, this time he was struggling when he fought Sandor Martin, so I don't really expect Lopez will win this fight.

Remember Jack Catterall was give a good fight with Taylor, but the judges tend to favor on Taylor. I think Lopez must KO Taylor if he want to win, if it goes to distance Taylor should be the winner.

I am surprised Bob Arum did this fight as well. I am not sure who is the bigger draw since both are popular although I think Lopez is slightly the bigger draw especially if we are talking about the US market. This is a big risk to Lopez but this might be the only way for him to beat Taylor who's been inactive and at the same time showed a poor performance against Catterall on his last outing. Catterall did well and might deserve that win but the best of Taylor was supposed to just steamroll him that night.

The fight will be in the US so if the rounds are close, the judges might favor Lopez. Devin Haney should he win over Loma might be next if Lopez wins. Taylor might seriously move up in weight after this win or lose.
1762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 23, 2023, 12:19:57 PM
So I started this thread last year and it's nearly 5 months already and there is no deal yet between Spence and Thurman? That leads to the assumption as to how hard it is to reach an agreement with Spence. First, he killed the potential undisputed fight with Crawford who's been waiting for nearly a year for nothing. Now the WBC is giving Spence the favor to fight a very popular but out of his prime opponent which includes a crazy VIP treatment of making the fight at 154. Errol Spence is getting annoying.

Now the WBO is mandating Crawford to face Rocha. I just hope the WBA and IBF will do the same since Spence seems not serious about the WBC mandatory on Thurman. I really hope Spence gets ktfo so badly in his next fight, boxing is better without him.
1763  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade up capital: $200 on: March 22, 2023, 09:25:53 AM
The moment you ask if $200 is enough to trade means you have no idea about trading. That is bad mate and you took the money by stealing it from your wife. Do you have no work in order to finance your own trading plan? You don't have to steal mate since you are a newbie and trading is only for those that are fully equipped with knowledge and skills. You should return that money to your wife and promise not to do it again. That is so cowardly even if you confessed later but your mother-in-law is already doubting about you. Take your time to study trading, and enhance your skills. Open a demo account and practice what you learned and see if you are ready.
1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 22, 2023, 09:05:55 AM
It's sad to see the news that Inoue is injured. No estimated months means the injury is probably serious and training camp needs to stop. Unlucky as well for Fulton as the guy is grinding seriously to defend his belts. Maybe Fulton can take an easy tune-up to make his training camp worth it.

The original date would've been perfect to set up an undisputed match between the winners of Fulton-Inoue and Akhmadaliev-Tapales. This division is yet to get unified since the 4-belt era so hopefully, it will happen later this year or early next year. I am hoping for Marlon Tapales to score a big upset against Akhmadaliev.
1765  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satellite Betting (Low Delay) on: March 22, 2023, 08:06:02 AM
I am a long-time bettor and used a lot of betting sites in the last decade but I don't think this will work. You might find some weird local betting companies that have delayed reactions within their systems but it is pretty sure that they knew it too. So chances are they will review its live bettors right after the match which means withdrawals will be pending for a few minutes as well to those who won in that particular match. The account will face the risk of closure and who knows funds including your capital will be frozen too.

I don't know some people like to cheat. OP is probably ready to scam anybody as well when given the chance.
1766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best way to invest in BITCOIN on: March 22, 2023, 07:44:09 AM
First, you can invest any amount of money, there is no fixed amount. But before investing you must have enough understanding about investment and then invest. If you want to make money by investing, you must be patient. With 100 dollars you are thinking of starting investment I think investing with 100 dollars in the first case is a good start. If you start investing with $100 you will gradually gain enough knowledge about investing and you can increase your investment amount if you want as you become experienced.  But remember one thing if you invest, you will not always get profit, if you invest many times, you may face loss, at that time you need to be very patient. If you can be patient at that time, then you will see success.

I agree. $100 is a good start. $1 daily in crypto investing does not make any sense due to the fees needed. OP can keep his $1 daily savings and invest it into bitcoin once it reaches $100. There is no need to hurry anyways because as a newbie, OP needs to learn and understand first the basics fundamentals of bitcoin. And who knows, from day-to-day learning, OP might get interested in studying technical analysis of bitcoin and starts trading because the market is expected into a major bull run sometime next year which is the year of bitcoin's halving.
1767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could there be any importance and need for some kind of mild regulations? on: March 22, 2023, 07:24:50 AM
I agree with you OP. I already mentioned many times that I can do a KYC without much of an issue although I am doing as much as possible some sort of privacy like using platforms that are not asking for KYC for all of its users. I don't usually trust people especially those at the top. We already know throughout history that those at the top aren't really honest with their ordinary citizens. People nowadays are craving more privacy and decentralization due to the many failures of those on top that are in control. They aren't serving the good of everyone anyways but rather they are serving themselves and the people within their circles.
1768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? on: March 22, 2023, 07:03:19 AM
Altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin which is why many people have doubts about investing. But for me, I will continue to buy my preferred altcoins that have long-term potential. I also believe that bitcoin's growth won't be that much high compared to the previous years due to its growing capitalization unless there is a worldwide adoption or most parts of the world will consider it as legal tender. Some altcoins on the other hand have the potential to pump x10 to even x100 in the next few years.
1769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Beginners Should Not Go For Future Trading? on: March 21, 2023, 11:37:24 AM
Maybe the title should be "Why Beginners Should Not Trade". Because even these beginners are not advised to do spot trades as well. We just cannot enter into something that we do not know. What beginners needed in order for them to trade is to study how cryptocurrencies work, what are they, and the various trading indicators.

I find trading tempting when I was a beginner back then because I was absolutely motivated by the big rise and fall of its prices. I was so eager at that time to multiply my savings so I can stop being an employee. In the end, investing and holding over time is the easiest way to profit when compared to active trading and the very risky futures trading.
1770  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dare to take such gamble? on: March 21, 2023, 11:08:22 AM
That guy is just doing it to make a trend and make himself popular. I really, really doubt bitcoin reaches $1 million in 90 days. If only I have a lot of bitcoins, I will take the bet although that guy is most likely not going to respond. Bitcoin is now worth $544 billion and if ever a single bitcoin reaches $1 million, the whole market capitalization would be around $20 trillion. I even doubt a single bitcoin reaches a price of $1 million in 2025 which is the usual time a heavy bull run happens. I would love to see bitcoin reach a million dollars but I am more realistic in my assumptions.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 3 Reasons Why Cytpocurrency Gambling is more Addictive than Fiat Gambling! on: March 21, 2023, 10:48:11 AM
I do not call myself a gambling addict but I am a regular gambler but at least with minimal bets nowadays. I am not for number 1 as OP stated since I am a holder of cryptocurrencies, especially bitcoin. So I am into crypto gambling rather than fiat online gambling partly because of anonymity. Yes, I knew a lot of crypto casinos are asking for KYC but there are still some that are not asking for it. Although they might ask for it if the amounts are probably too high like hundreds of thousands of dollars. So I am using crypto casinos for my gambling mainly because I am a big fan of cryptocurrencies.
1772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Placing bet on WWE on: March 21, 2023, 10:27:39 AM
I've been to a lot of sportsbooks in many years and there are only a few that offer WWE betting odds. Obviously, WWE is scripted and these athletes spent time practicing their stunts. I haven't tried betting on a WWE match but I believe there are limitations to the amount since the few betting companies that offer it knew that it is scripted and there are some people within the WWE company that knew the results. Some people bet on WWE matches because they are huge fans and they don't know who's going to be the winner although they knew that it is scripted.
1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arbitrum Hype on: March 21, 2023, 09:57:56 AM
Arbitrum is making a lot of noise lately due to its airdrops. Unluckily, I am not part of it. But I am planning to buy Arbitrum when it dips and then hold it for the coming big bull run next year or 2025. A few days ago I saw a post about ARB IOU which was about $10+ and then today I checked it was $11+. I expect it to go down though as pretty sure many will dump their free holdings once listed especially on Binance. My personal assessment of its price is $1 to $2 or even more when the bull run comes to play. So my target is to buy as cheaply as possible from these dumpers.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: March 21, 2023, 09:04:32 AM

Another big fight coming up! There's been a lot of talks already about the lineal and former undisputed champion Josh Taylor fighting Teofimo Lopez. Today it is confirmed that both fighters will duke it out this coming June 10. It's weird since Josh Taylor was supposed to rematch Jack Caterrall in what was supposed to be his last fight in the division before moving up to 147. Now Caterall is anxious and mad knowing Taylor will stay in the division and will face Teofimo Lopez. Teofimo Lopez had a bad performance against Sandor Martin in his last fight. Unluckily for Sandor Martin, he was robbed of another upset victory.

Professional win-loss-KO/TKO records
Josh Taylor: 19-0-13 KOs
Teofimo Lopez: 18-1-13 KOs

My take is prime Josh Taylor would've easily schooled Teofimo Lopez and might take him out in the late rounds. But considering the 1-year inactivity of Josh Taylor and he admitted before that making weight is so difficult already as he aged. Earlier, the only reason Taylor stayed for 1 last fight against Caterrall is in order to settle their controversial first fight. Now I am not counting out Lopez as we do not how what version of Taylor will show this June 10. But I still believe Taylor will be the slight favorite here.

1775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are We Going To See $30,000 Price Before the End of This week on: March 20, 2023, 12:38:19 PM
Maybe I am biased because my scheduled DCA on bitcoin is this coming March 26 or the end of this week. I see bitcoin dropping down as a part of a healthy correction after days of wild and unexpected increase in value. I think we will see $26k something at the end of this week. But there is also the possibility that we might touch $30k something before it falls again. I assume future traders are the ones busy analyzing the short-term price of bitcoin while I am only doing a DCA for long-term profit.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 20, 2023, 12:18:02 PM
Ethereum stood over the years and remained firm and continues to grow and innovate. If Ethereum is the most valuable altcoin then it must be the king of altcoins, right? And if we take a look at the top cryptocurrencies, many of them are side chains, layers, forks, and projects that are also connected with Ethereum. That says a lot about how influential and important Ethereum is to the world of crypto. So it is a yes, absolutely Ethereum is the king of altcoins.

My portfolio also has Ethereum and it is my 2nd most accumulated coin next only to Bitcoin.
1777  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 20, 2023, 11:57:08 AM
It depends on the person. But for me, I am willing to sacrifice some years of grind in order to acquire the goal of achieving financial freedom. I am a person that can't see myself as an 8-5 worker until I reach the age of retirement. Lately, I mostly devout most of my time at home trying to maximize my earnings so I can invest more before the next bull run. I still have a life though but it is not the same compared to the previous years when I travel constantly from place to place. I really hope that it will be worth the sacrifice and that I can achieve once again the goal of financial freedom after losing it some years ago.
1778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Strangest Bet You Have Ever Had? on: March 20, 2023, 10:50:03 AM
The most strange bet I had was when I was 10 years old and I bet into a slot machine. I think it was illegal and I don't know why that store had 2 slot machines inside. It was a horse race in a slot machine so basically, it was pure luck. At first, I was cheering on the horse I bet which was consistent in the 2nd and 3rd place. But when my horse is nearly at par with the leading horse, I felt scared. All of a sudden I thought that if I win, my mother will punish me if she caught me having money and I can never tell her that I played in a slot machine. I was full of sweat at that time and was praying deep inside that my horse will lose. In the end, my horse only placed 3rd and I was so happy deep inside. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
1779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 20, 2023, 09:32:49 AM
Maybe the fact that Bivol defeated a superstar in Canelo made him increase his points.

Not just that, Bivol just turned Canelo into a punching bag that no one might expect knowing Canelo is at the peak of his career during that time.

According to some stats, 97% of bets on that match are all in favor of Canelo.

Just imagine how underdog Bivol is prior to that fight. -440 was given to him which is equivalent to 18% winning the fight. Cheesy

The odds were really weird to me during that time. I only noticed weird odds in boxing every once in a while. Maybe because Canelo is the biggest name in boxing and he just became the undisputed champion at 168 prior to that. The money that flocked into Canelo made the odds even worse and is becoming too high for the caliber of Bivol.  But considering his size and skills compared to Canelo, I had no doubt that he can win. I had like a free bet and I was contented with Bivol. The only thing that stopped me from betting more is that I knew the judges will steal as many rounds as possible in favor of the biggest superstar in the sport. Bivol stopped scoring KOs since he became the real WBA champion and even during an interview at his training camp, he said that he honestly prefers to box and fight smart. And considering how tough the chin of Canelo is, it is hard to bet on Bivol to win a KO too.

In the actual fight, Bivol took Canelo to school. I cannot even remember if Canelo won 2 to 3 rounds on my card. But the 3 corrupt judges have it 7 to 5. Each of the judges probably thought to let the other 2 do the tricks for Canelo but they all ended up thinking the same. Cheesy 1 more round to steal and the fight would've been a draw just like what happened when GGG was clearly robbed of a victory against Canelo. Even Mayweather who clearly outscored the young Canelo at that time only managed to settle a majority decision which shocked a lot of hardcore fans.
