2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 26, 2016, 11:05:57 AM
Bitcoin will probably not make the banks disappear but it will make them offer better services in the future.

Well since banks are now looking unto the blockchain tech there is the possibility of that I believe.
2142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Terrorists use Western Union, not Bitcoin on: January 25, 2016, 03:16:46 PM
It's not like they use WU entirely. More of it comes from the black market I suppose.
2143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Old coins on the move on: January 25, 2016, 01:19:09 PM
So that's why we're back at sub-$400 now eh?  Grin Grin Grin

Well if that's the case then it'll probably recover by this week or the next.
2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: suspicious ebook about How To Hack Bitcoin Private Key Easily on: January 25, 2016, 01:03:12 PM
Complete scam, only nob will buy this type of silly scammy ebook.
If somebody can hack bitcoin private key than he would be able to be billionaire and he don't need to sell this method for some cents. Grin

Yeah, by the way stay away from digital point. It's been dead for years now, the only ones remaining are the ones trying to get their scam stuff sold. It's like finding a needle in the haystack for legitimate deals there.

*Ahem* JJ *Ahem* Semi-distributed pool *Ahem*  Grin Grin Grin

I am more than willing to restart the pool, but the RPC functions required to make the pool work were removed from Bytecent wallet. I have had new and updated code ready to go for months, but it now appears that for some reason Bytecent feels the semi-distributed mining system is pointless.

Too bad, I was kind of waiting for that semi-distributed pool.

Tonight it's MIN vs CLE. Even though MIN is coming from a huge win from Memphis, I do not think they have the firepower to defeat the powerhouse (yet currently a mess of a situation) CAVs. I'm still betting on the MIN tho.

On the other hand, I'm quite confident now Josh Smith's back in the lineup for HOU, against their match vs the pelicans.
2147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: January 25, 2016, 02:11:36 AM
Have anyone tried 64Blocks? Its a really cool game IMO.

Other than that I like Plinko too.
2148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blocks are full. on: January 25, 2016, 02:10:01 AM
The backlog is just going to keep rising and there is nothing we can do about it. It is very unfortunate.

That's why we need the lightning network, even as a temporary solution while Core devs patch up a perma fix.
2149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone buy during $1200? on: January 24, 2016, 02:35:04 PM
Well I did too, but in the line of ~0.25. While it wasn't much, it was good money that I lost.

Some things are meant to be lost I suppose.
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: January 24, 2016, 09:37:18 AM
Have you ever heard about the BYC rewards app? You can BYCs w/c of course you can exchange for bitcoins for watching videos and installing apps.
2151  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Say goodbye to decentralization on: January 24, 2016, 02:15:25 AM
Centralization was about the happen. How is this news?
In every market where there is money to be made money will come in and take over.

The idea was bound to lose because of capitalization.

And bitcoin was made to fight that capitalization scheme. But yeah, turns out it was a victim to that too.
2152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum at 3rd place on coinmarketcap.com on: January 24, 2016, 02:07:30 AM

Well if finally happened.
It really annoys me seeing litecoin so high. The coin has not been developed or had any innovations the last years.

Maybe because many people still hangs on to the notion that LTC is silver to BTC's gold.
2153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What regular people think about bitcoin ? on: January 24, 2016, 02:04:30 AM
Most people don't know about it and the few that know are not interested in it.
it's just another way for payments, not THE way.

I do not see why it's a necessity for a lot of people to understand it anyway. Most of us do not know too how wire transfers work. All we know is that it's a way to send money.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 24, 2016, 01:55:25 AM
Smith is back to the rockets and it feels like it's last season again. Look's like they'll start winning games from here on.

On other news, Kerr's back too.

I'm taking the HOU vs DAL matchup in the favor of the rockets tomorrow.
2155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you keep block size at 1MB if that makes bitcoin value rise? on: January 17, 2016, 07:32:59 AM
The lower miners fee advantage, will soon be eliminated by the implementation of many "Private ledgers" being introduced within this year and the years to come from the banks

and other financial institutions. In my opinion this has not been the case in any way, because most people used a third-party as a on ramp and a off ramp for fiat conversion and

they added their fee, making Bitcoin use more expensive, than what it was supposed to be. The whole idea with the original protocol was for people to pay more for priority

transactions, and when it reach a situation where a bottleneck occur, then the block size could be increased to alleviate that. We have not reached a bottleneck in my opinion.

Well they've predicted that the bottleneck situation is now more likely to come soon, that's why they want action. IMO it's much better if the network increases the block size. Huge fees would kill micro-transactions otherwise.
2156  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Domain Seized: Is this common? on: January 17, 2016, 07:28:45 AM
What was the site's content?

As far as I know if the website is registered and hosted off-shore then that "US entity" has no right to seize it, only the appropriate authorities in the off-shore country.

Noah just got his shoulders hit. Dislocated. He'll be out for a while, along with a chunk of the Bull's defense.

I'm taking on GSW-DET, most likely an easy W for the Warriors.
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is Dead" - Mike Hearn on: January 16, 2016, 08:26:57 AM
Why did he have to exit the Bitcoin space with so much drama? Surely he must have had some underhanded motives to undermine it before leaving.

Like Bram Cohen has said, "It's one whiny ragequit." He's employed by R3, he can quit anytime.
2159  Economy / Speculation / Re: SUB 360 on: January 16, 2016, 08:22:04 AM
Hearn just gave us the bear market we need. Welcome to 2016 people Grin Grin Grin
2160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet buying bitcoin? on: January 14, 2016, 03:53:38 PM
Yes Buffet really siad that! Well he had never been good in understanding new technologies. He is an oldschooler.
But when I have absolutely no idea I should better shut my mouth, that's why statements like this from one one of the greatest investors of all time is kind of embarrassing.

He would likely agree that you should invest in what you know. When I need tech advice I generally don't ask a senior citizen.

Yeah it's probably a generation thing. We invest in digital holdings, the older generations do it in stocks and traditional finance. Who cares? Let them be.
