2281  Economy / Economics / Re: 76% of Adults are Making Lifestyle Changes to Prepare for a Potential Recession on: October 20, 2022, 09:24:31 PM
I have made a good amount of change in my lifestyle because of inflation already, don't know if I can handle recession following this as well. It is a bad period to be in, and I feel like it’s not going to really end well for me neither. It’s going to be obviously a hard period for all humanity, but it’s not just economically bad neither, it’s going to be psychologically bad too.

I am going to end up with both living a smaller lifestyle because of this period, but it’s going to be psychologically hard to just live poorer and poorer to make sure that I am not in big debt. How smaller can we get? I earn a decent amount and yet still not live a comfortable life.
2282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2022, 08:48:02 PM
There were a lot of games and I understand that people are excited about making predictions on how teams will be but let’s remember that these were first games, just one game doesn't make it enough to get calculations on how teams will be.

Some teams looked bad and we knew that they would be tanking like Rockets, Spurs, Orlando and such, but at the top levels, all he teams in the playoff race, you can't make any predictions from just a single game, so let them be however they want to be and do not really assume anything yet. Let’s see how teams are for a whole month, and yes that may feel a lot but after like 10 games or so you could see how they are, and then understand the teams.
2283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 20, 2022, 06:36:21 PM
I have been waiting for LTC to go back into top 10 for a while now, and I believe it does belong there as well. If you do not consider the stablecoins, right now 1 is btc, 2 is eth, 3 is bnb, and I honestly believe ltc should be 4 behind them, with stablecoins spread between them of course. Why it hasn't been there? Why it has been out of top 20 even, I do not know because it is really a good one.

First of all, it has been around for longer than a decade, not many projects can survive that long, that alone should give you a good reason to buy, secondly it gets a lot of improvements and constantly gets new features, which should be another reason. It’s really a good one for sure.
2284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BSV the end. on: October 20, 2022, 06:06:51 PM
It was always obvious that there wouldn't be any long life for BSV anyway, and it doesn't matter if they can recover from this or not, it never really mattered. Anyone who cared enough about this project was warned against it, and it was something that dropped significantly in the ranks even before any of this, and if they still invested then they knew the risks. Who would spend time on investing into something Craig Wright did?

It’s obvious that dude is a liar and if you believed him then it’s your own fault. With this, it’s now proven that we are talking about something that is doing a bit worse, and not a shock to anyone like me who knew it was a bad project even at the start.
2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 20, 2022, 05:33:41 PM
People reacted way too early for Marseille being the same points as PSG at the start of the season, now the difference is already 6 points, and Lorient is closer to PSG than Marseille, that should be a good enough indicator that PSG is a team that is beyond all these talks, other teams could have good periods here and there, but they will end up losing eventually and they won't have the sustainable power to continue until the end of the season whereas PSG has that power to be this good without any change up until the end of the season and that matters a lot.

PSG will win the league title once again and will be 10+ points difference easily, I always said this, and I will keep saying it until the end.
2286  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leaving your coins on exchanges on: October 20, 2022, 03:59:02 PM
I think "exchanges" is a word that we can lump all in and get away with it. However, the exchange with 10 thousand dollars volume, and Binance are both "exchanges" if you take the word for it. I have to say Binance could be trusted, or at least I shouldn't really change anyone’s idea, and say that I personally trust it, you could or maybe not, that’s on you.

The idea that Biannce could be hacked, or could do something with your money is beyond bonkers. This is the biggest exchange that makes billions in profit and you think they would be really risking it all? They will protect your funds better than you could ever protect them, so that they could continue to rake in profits.
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2022, 10:00:22 PM
It is totally understandable for Lakers to lose to Warriors, Lakers missed playoffs last year, whereas Warriors won the ring, so that was an expected result. However, Lakers really need to put a team around Lebron.

Lebron is 37 years old, going into 38 years old this season, and he scored 31 points, had 14 rebounds and had 8 assists, I agree that AD played decently, 27 points, which was on 10/22 not great but let’s say that’s good enough, other players surrounding them were Lonnie Walker, Beverley and Westbrook, Westbrook had 19 points on 7/12 that’s not too bad neither, but Walker+Beverly had 8 points total, and bench had 24 points all combined, that’s unacceptable.
2288  Economy / Economics / Re: Personal Flood Prevention/Sensitization Project. Any Ideas? on: October 19, 2022, 08:58:45 PM
As a person who lives in a place that cannot be flooded (would be very shocking if waters could come all the way where I live) and even during high rain periods it’s a bit of a hill, which means it goes downhill to another town, that means I never really had to worry about it, plus rocky mountain places rarely get earthquakes as well, and when we do, we are protected by it because it's solid structure thanks to hard base.

All these combined, I never really had to worry about any of this, and I am doing better thanks to it as well. All these people who have to worry about it, makes me realize how lucky I am to live where I live right now.
2289  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: October 19, 2022, 06:48:43 PM
I disagree on teaching little kids what crypto is, that’s just way too much, we could definitely put it on economics related college classes to teach a lot more about it, there is a good understanding of it, and even computer science majors as well because there is a development related part of it as well and both of them are understandable. But that doesn't change the fact that we can't really end up with anything that would be ok for kids under 17 or younger end up learning from, and I doubt it would really work that well.

This is why it’s a lot better if we just decided not to focus on anything that would be older teenagers, even "teen adults" basically for people who are 20 years old and what not.
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 18, 2022, 09:15:33 PM
It makes sense for Barcelona to have some sort of crumbling weeks, because they are getting quite tired, and they are a new team trying to show their talents individually, but the system Xavi (and Barcelona has played for decades) instilling is not there just yet.

The great tiki-taka optimized for today’s world will take a bit of time for them to get used to, and meanwhile, they will have a few bad games in a row, when you have one bad game, it follows the other, you forget how to play football for a while, happens to even the best players. I am sure that once things start to click, they are going to be an unstoppable force for sure, not going to really have any trouble at all.
2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ballon d'Or discussion and odds on: October 18, 2022, 08:46:20 PM
I am not entirely sure if Ronaldo and Messi didn't deserve their awards. I mean maybe you can find a few seasons where other players did have a good season, but these are the people who had 80+ g/a seasons multiple times, they are just unreal and can't be beaten.

Let me put it this way on how good Ronaldo is, we all talked about how haaland would need to score like 40+ goals a year for 15+ seasons to reach his goal count, that should be good enough, messi didn't score as much, but he had more assists, so the g/a rate is even higher. So that is the difference, they got the awards because they were consistently the best players each year, maybe 1-2 seasons could go either way, but it would still be 10+ combined for sure.
2292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 18, 2022, 08:02:11 PM
Having a team on a roll would work greatly, Liverpool was never a bad team, sure they had a bad start to the season but that doesn't make them bad right away, it makes them just underperforming and nothing else. They had a few good games, and that Rangers huge win just caused them to liven back up again, which means we are talking about them having a good track record for a while now.

Obviously lost to Arsenal, but won the other 4 or so games if I am not wrong. That’s why I believe they will easily win against West Ham too, to be fair they have to, because that would take them to closer to upper ranks, if not then it’s going to keep being horrible for them.
2293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto agents on the increase on: October 18, 2022, 05:01:20 PM
Obviously scamming grew bigger because everything became a bit more online and technological. Doesn't mean that there weren't any scammers before online payment world got big, but it wasn't as easy as it was today, on the other hand with crypto it became even wider and that’s the trouble we are going to be in if we do not careful, and scammers will take full advantage of the situation.

If it is easier for scammers to take advantage of us, then it is up to us to be even more careful and if we are not then we are going to be in full on trouble. This is of course not something you can do in a single day, you need to learn how to not get scammed as well as scammers learn how they can scam you.
2294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much gambling is in trading cryptocurrencies? on: October 18, 2022, 03:28:30 PM
A lot, depending on your skill level and understanding of crypto. I personally believe that we shouldn't be really trading if we are newbies and have no understanding of how trading works. I have seen people who jump into 100x leverage trading as their first ever trade, can you imagine how stupid that move is?

I am sorry but if you do that, then you deserve to lose your money. The real move would be buying long term from low, wait for it to go up, use your profits to make riskier and riskier moves, but if you ever are not in profit, stop because it means you are about to lose money. Always take risks that you could afford, and realize how risky it is.
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stages on: October 17, 2022, 09:24:10 PM
Goalkeepers are hard to come by, you do not have as many great goalkeepers in active football as you have in other positions, mainly because there are only one of them in the team that gets attention, every other position does get their bench players playing for fatigue reasons, but goalkeepers would go play every single game if they can, unless some injury or booking of course.

That is why I believe that we shouldn't really be worried about the stance of Uzoho, dude will probably get to a great club eventually, only because there aren't enough players like him, and first it needs to be a club that's at one of the 5 big leagues, and then to a huge club, if he keeps playing like this of course.
2296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And officially worst year for investors on: October 17, 2022, 07:49:59 PM
I feel like this is still far better than 2018 for some reason, maybe I am remembering that wrong but the feeling during those times (or at least my feelings) was that it would never recover from that, we were looking at bitcoin as "how did it even reach 20k to begin with", and saw that 3k was more than enough, we assumed it would go from few hundred dollars to 3k and that was normal.

The unreal part was reaching 20k in between, and now we realize that it's normal for it to be 20k, because we "dropped" to 20k right now, we peaked at 68k meaning that it could be 100k one day too, or 200k, or 500k, these are all possible for bitcoin, we didn't feel like that back in the day.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 17, 2022, 07:21:51 PM
Has anyone else saw that Mbappe was actually quite happy after the goal, we have seen Mbappe passing to Neymar for a goal, and him + neymar + messi hugged each other right after the goal and they looked so happy together. I can't stop thinking, what if everything is just a rumour and a drama made by others?

I mean sure there were a lot of talks about him leaving before, but he got paid and stayed, if he REALLY wanted to leave, he could have gone to another club, but he choose to stay, maybe there isn't any problem, and maybe that’s all just newspaper blowing things up to sell more paper? We really do not know which one is the truth to be fair.
2298  Economy / Economics / Re: Central authority can be biased. Referring to TikTok on: October 16, 2022, 09:48:02 PM
You know what the main problem is? The lack of competition. TikTok has done something that nobody else could, it gives audience to people who didn't get themselves heard before, and direct connection to money for them as well, crypto could have been a great part of it, but hasn't been and that’s the problem we are facing right now.

This is why it’s a lot smarter if we could somehow get competition from other social media places where they could see people who are suffering and not just hear about it, a tweet from someone who is living in these situations is not as believable as a tiktok live video of it, that’s why lack of competition forced this situation.
2299  Economy / Economics / Re: Running a successful business in most developing countries on: October 16, 2022, 08:53:04 PM
One thing missing is "work in your field" and that's very important. If you want to start a business then you have to work in a company in that field before, that way you would learn about how that business is run from first hand. If you go into a field and start a business without having absolutely no experience in it before, you are going to fail.

I really do not like starting a new business, I have nearly a dozen business ideas in crypto and I have been in crypto for a decade and can really make these work. However, I love my current job so much that adding more work to my daily life is very very difficult, one day I will do it, but you also need to have hype about it too, if you are not desiring it enough, you won't have the courage to do it neither.
2300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 16, 2022, 01:58:21 PM
City will definitely win, they are just way too good at this moment, even if Liverpool was doing good, they were still better than last year's Liverpool as well, with the addition of Haaland they became a totally different type of team. I am guessing that they will most surely beat this game. Of course in football anything could happen, but do you wager on Leeds to beat City?

I mean I don't, there are some people who may do that kind of stuff for a bigger payout, I just don't, and this may not be that clear difference but it is still clear to me. I am guessing at least 2 goals from Haaland as well, that dude loves these big games to score.
