Hello All,
I know it was discussed already but I don't find the post, everytime DAG change one of mi mining rig reboot by itself. The issue is Claymore SW version independent Win 7 OS, 16.9.2 drivers. Suggestions?

Thanks!

Check if you have set in os at least 16GB virtual memory.
Check gpu memory errors with hwinfo, if card generate errors in normal mining it is possible that will crash on dag change, maybe you overclocked or undervolt too much...

- If I have 4 cards and want to enable first 3 only in 1 claymore instance do I need to add: -di 012 or -di 02 ?

- If I want to open another instance of claymore to mine other coin (not dual) for the 4th card do I need to enter in the other claymore: -di 3 or else?

Thanks for help.

First instance, -di 012
Second instance -di 3

Guys, why all my cards(470,480,570) lost in hashrate about 10% ? I think it began slowing few month ago. There some problems with dag file or it's same as with old cards(7950) ? Is it possible to get prewious speeds?

Read. Yes it is most likely the DAG slowdown if you haven't changed anything else in that time. According to those in the know it will be fixed by a driver update in the not too distant future.

Every new DAG hashrates go down until new driver is released.

Why new driver should fix it? AMD knows about this problem and has said something about this?

Because we are telling you the driver will fix it Smiley
Polaris has some issue with the DAG and AMD will fix it. I do not know if I should thanks them or not (due to difficulty increase).

AMD never thought that some many cards will be sued for mining, so it was not in their developement sheet to fix a DAG issue.
Now that lots of Youtubers and miners are reporting issue and going to buy Nvidia, they had to fix it.

I just downloaded 9.8 coming from 9.7, has anyone noticed an increase in stale shares when mining off of ethermine?

This worries me, I started mining 10 days ago with 9.7 and was about to update to 9.8

Could you give me a hand with something...

Should I set al the parameter for claymore miner in the config.txt or the start.bat file? Last time I edited the star.bat file

When updating, how do i keep my parameters? Should I edit the new version files or can I copy the old config or start file?

Thanks.

Just copy your config, epool, dpool, and start.bat files from your v9.7 directory into the new 9.8 directory and you can start the new Claymore.

I have tested. I run ETH with DCR. The results affect the speed when digging ETH

EX:
1. i run only ETH -> 152 MH/S
2. run both ETH + DCR -> ETH: 142
I think this version is no different from 9.7.

Claymore show only 3GB available, but the card has 4GB than miner crash. For the first time everything was good, miner works fine, but every next try crash.

Hey All,

New to this forum fun, i'm more of a reader/follower!

But would like to share this as i've struggled to get a bit more info on, and wondered if anyone else has any info.

I'm currently running a 7 GPU rig of RX470s, 4xRX470 NITRO+ and 3 RX470 NITROs on an MSI Gaming Pro M5 Board and all powered by 2 x EVGA 750 G2 PSU's
Using Claymore miner 9.7 and AMD driver 17.7.1

At stock, they are running around 23MHs only just after the last EPOCat the time (137), but not being one to go as far as flashing the BIOS (yet), I found out about the ASUS GPU Tweak II hack/break and gave it a go, I managed to break past the std mem clock of 2100MHz on the Nitro+ cards up to 2250MHz, and the clock speed down to 1125 and power at 925 for stability. (all these settings were in the Radeon WATTMAN tool) and managed to get them over 26MHs  @ EPOC 136 without bios mod (essentially this is a soft bios mod). Total rig avg 178Mhs+

But unbeknown to me(foolishly), I left the automatically update setting turned on, and it updated the drivers to 17.7.2, arghhhhhhh. Oh what fun I had trying to get this mess sorted, ended up using the DDU utility to remove all drivers, but this killed the GPUTweak program, no longer starts or works anymore, even after removal and reinstall, oh well! So decided to look elsewhere to break this limit.

Came across another article about MSI Afterburner's "Extend official overclocking limits" settings and a registry key called "PP_PhmSoftPowerPlayTable", (located Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\XXXX - last 4 digits relate to GPU cards, this key will reside in all of the GPUs installed) this essentially does the same thing as GPUTweakII and breaks the fixed limits on Wattman.

To cut a long story short, i'm waiting on the new drivers from AMD, but not knowing what EPOC it will resolve back to, its hard to give some estimations, but currently i'm running a bit more conservative @ just over 25MHs 1125/2150/875, temps avg 61deg celcius, fans running around 25-50% depending on card location in rig. - Total rig avg 175.4MHs

Its not the best, but its the balance between having the wife throw the rig out the window because of the noise and heat, or keep it reasonably quiet and continue mining!

 Smiley

PS. I'm only running ETH at present
