but where ur gpus recognized by ubuntu?

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I have added my siacoin address to the miner config

Can't seem to get this OS stable.

It crashes within 5mins every time.  Only running 4 dinky little 460 4gb cards.

Yet the same core/memory settings work flawlessly under win 10.

I never checked because I didn't have mining software running didn't really think about it.. Just pretty much booted up toggled around then scrapped it and went with nvoc and smos on USB drives. All my gpu's are receiving power, all correctly hooked up to their pci-e ports.. Just don't know whats wrong.

Just tried this on a rig with all 1070's and... none of the cards were recognized. I guess that means simplemining is still AMD only?

edit to add: haha, stupid question in context of previous 5 posts... Wink no pressure, love your work, T!

Since yesterday I am having an issue with dual ETH/SIA mining on SMOS. Dual mining stops after like 8-10 hours of rig restarted.

Power consumption reduces accordingly on the wall. SMOS shows rig is OFF but actually it is digging ETH as the wall consumption and ethminer pool shows my rig  isactive and unpaid balance increases.

Before this started to happen I noticed one of my 6 GPU's hash rate fluctuates between 19.XX-27.XX. I happens within seconds and goes back up and keeps fluctuating.

I will check power connections and risers for this GPU by replacing it with another GPU  to see whether it works fine on other riser and other GPU works fine on this riser.

Possible reasons:

Insufficient power--> Have dual Evga 850 G2  on add2psu. So power should be enough.
PS1--> Powers 3 GPU (2 on risers and 1 on mobo) and system. PS2--> Powers 3 risers and 3 GPUs on them.
I wanted to avoid SATA-molex adapters so shared GPU/riser pairs on PSUs.

Power connections-->
I plugged one GPU on mobo, 4 GPU on PCIE 6 Pin powered risers and 1 GPU on 4 Pin Molex powered riser. Do not even use SATA-molex adapter.

BIOS Mod--> I will decide this after I switch GPUs on risers. If thrashing GPU keeps lowering hash on other riser then BIOS/Volt settings of this GPU might have an issue.

Temprature--> Thrashing GPU is in between two other GPU's. The one in front it has better air flow but but the one behind the middle GPU works fine so far. Although it is breathing hot air from middle one.

Pool--> Using SIAmining. It was fine for a couple of days since I started dual mining. Now it rejects my rig?

SMOS--> Rig is digging ETH now but SMOS says my rig is OFF?

Hello! [Mining OS] staff.  Please honestly answer ...
Sincerely, I do not need to have all the comfort of the online interface, or the rebot because I have my PDU with 8 outputs, made for servers.

How do I proceed to configure it autonomously (via ssh or else) to prevent the mine's OS. automatically load conf from your server?
I've seen in /home/miner the config.json file that is used for configuration ... but I suspect that the downloaded file is overwritten, from your site, every time I turn on  my mines. Then I would like to disable the possibility that your software in the OS miners, communicate with the site for rebote, reset, view stats ...

I would be grateful if you can help me ...

I ask for this thing, not for non pay 2 usd/month but because I do not need all these automations ...
I think it's not necessary to pay 2 usd for an open source OS (ubuntu) ...

Apart from that ... you did a good job with your OS ... it works well.

Thank you very much.

PS:  If you want to do something, really useful, you can write a software for management and statistics, similar to yours , BUT as an addon for the WHMCS ... so you can help others (who want to make howsing service for miners)... In this case I would have paid, even 200 usd for Such a software  (although at the moment personally I only have one miner with 4 GPUs Smiley  ) ...  Such software has never been developed by anyone ... it's an good idea for start a good profit...

Since YOU do not need these features, these must be useless right? SimpleminingOS IS a linux distri SPECIFICALLY built to provide online management through connection to the server. If YOU do not need those features there is absolutely no reason for you to be using SmOS.
Install ubuntu light, install all the drivers, build/deploy all the sw/miners and be happy with that, dont post irrelevant stuff on this thread.

You are free use a different OS if the 2$ seems high to you. The fee is for using the online Server that enables remote online management for the multitude of people who find this option indispensable. I grow sick of entitled whiners who keep posting on threads crying about fees.

By "Help Others" you mean be useful to your very specific set of requirements? Sure that seems reasonable, especially for the grand sum of $200.
Why don't YOU do something useful and write such a system and share it on the forums, instead of complaining/demanding what others do.

............

Dear gentleman, why do you get angry so much for nothing? I tipped you down from the balcony?
I could not go elsewhere to ask, these things because it is about, your system ... then a month + one other month are 2 so one has to be behind an interface to always load it with the money? Was it no more fun to do than those from PIMP ... a single payment ...?
and privacy + the possibility of destroying miners ... with hacking on your server ... how do we put it? ( hacking your server somebody can load a wong configuration so that the GPUs can be destroyed by overheating ... or other things ...)

I'm not discussing your security, because I do not care, but I wanted to ask you to be able to use the OS myself ... without a central server ... that's all.

This isnt my OS, im not its developer, im just a user who loves it. My advice to you is - Dont use SmOS, this isnt for you. Use ubuntu, or if you are clueless about any technology then buy Pimp or EthOS which cost $30 or $40 per system.

So why answer in the name of dev? Did I personally ask you something about yourself ?
I turned to Dev, not to you as a user ... Maybe it's best to answer only when asked directly ...
