Folks, I hate to have to clue you in to reality but the modern concept of 'business' is predatory in nature. Its not just mining. Look at the supply chain from the 3rd world to the 1st world in any area of commerce you care to name and you will find enough crap to rip your heart out if you have one left.
How many times do you see people here include in their ROI calculations on new equipment its used resale value, hoping to get more than it is really worth from the greater noob fool ?
Please spare me the anguish about KNC. I know its fashionable and politically correct these days but please … mind your own affairs and try to do a little good often.
BOOOOM!! All Y'all Just Got Lit Up, Cuh!! +mucho

There cannot be any positive reviews of miners that arrived some 2 months late. But they say "During the weeks since our customers started up their Neptune" so I presume it was carefully drafted. KnC has become a rogue, predatory scamm-like sucker. I am sure they are in troubles.
Their announced shipping date was up through 7/31/2014. When did they ship 2 months late? batch one was supposed to be sent by the end of Q2 which is 30/06. And they completed it I think last week. So ok maybe it is not 2 months but only 6 week or a bit less than that. But there was also this situation with "Hash while you wait". KnC is in deep shit. They over promise and under deliver.

Either way, yes a little late, but certainly not by months--doesn't excuse their missing the deadline, but at least they didn't ship 45~ days late like lastyear. I told everyone back in January to expect late June/early July shipping for Neptunes, and Aug/Sep for Titans.

They were to start shipping by then, not complete it. No, Neptunes sold with shipping Q1/Q2 means all of the batch shipping by end of June, not just some. That might be how you interpret it, but it doesn't mean that was the intention. KNC's first 2 batches of gear last year were advertised as 'starting shipment by ...', not completed shipping by. Context would suggest this also carried over into the new gear. Example: https://web.archive.org/web/20131109171320/https://www.kncminer.com/categories/miners"Shipment begins ..." And for the Neptunes themselves: https://web.archive.org/web/20131212133634/https://www.kncminer.com/categories/miners"Shipment begins in Q1/Q2 of 2014" Not completed by, or wholly shipped out by... begins. They've never once said, in any official documentation or newsletter, that their items would be wholly shipped by a certain day--merely begins.

All you have to go on are the voiced intentions of the company. Stop making excuses for their failures as they are quite capable of that without your assistance. They will continue to screw would-be miners while you quibble about the use of the English language. They have not kept their promises. They have not delivered the goods, they have not effected refunds and they have not "given" anyone free hashing while they waited for their late shipment ALL of which were their voiced intentions! PS. https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-24 <--- there you go March. In print from the source. Also a bunch of crap about competitors releasing hashing power blah blah blah when all the while it was KNC hashing it up! Makes me angry to see it again.

They stated in its product description that batch 2 would begin shipping around one month after batch 1. 3. They stated in its product description that batch 2 would begin shipping in Q2. Combine these three statements and you get them saying that the customer only batch would begin shipping two months before the end of Q2, and batch 1 one month before the end of Q2. This obviously didn't happen. The customer only batch began shipping just before Q3, nearly two months late.

All you have to go on are the voiced intentions of the company. Stop making excuses for their failures as they are quite capable of that without your assistance. They will continue to screw would-be miners while you quibble about the use of the English language.
I remember them saying something effectively: "we sure would love to ship this as soon as Q1, but it could be up to the end of Q2", and within a few days of the orderbooks opening it was very clear that Q2 would be the likely shipdate. Anyone with capability to do basic math would've known Q1 wasn't even a realistic possibility. Their voiced intention, as I just quoted, is not the same as the official company progress/newsletter. It might be seen as semantics to some, but there's a difference between "what we would like to do" and "this is the official word of KNC". Yeah, people are upset. I've got no skin in the game, I'm not defending them, I'm just examining the facts. Fact is, they said they'd love to be super early, but provided official declaration that it could be as late as the end of Q2. I told everyone to expect to see late June, possibly July for shipping, based on what I knew of the internal process and their capability. I was off by weeks at most, which isn't bad. 1. They stated in its product description that batch 1 would begin shipping around one month after customer only batch. 2.
From memory, batch 0 (customer appreciation BS batch) was to ship by end of Q2, followed 1 month later by batch 1. This then got shifted, causing a shitstorm, so that batch 1 would be shipped about a week after batch 0. Batch 2 is as you describe. It provides a cascade of lateness, there's no doubt about that. But you guys are forgetting that Neptunes for batch 0 began shipping in early June. Back in the 178x page range, people were having Neptunes hit their doors. So batch 0 shipped on time. Reports of users from batch 1 receiving shipping info on/before 6/30 started coming in as well, which fits in with their less-than-a-month difference in those 2 batches. I suppose it could be argued on a technicality whether they began shipping then or not, but as far as I would call it, 0 and 1 shipped "by end of Q2". I wouldn't argue batch 2 shipping late, I was simply saying, not by months. Again this all seems to be semantics. Some folks are pointing at Q1 or early Q2, but the reality is end of Q2 was the official window. Even then the fine print says "we could still be late". This is why I tell people to just buy bitcoin.

You know, we do have enough experience around here with the negative Preorder B.S. that some of us have been experiencing since March of 2014 that we can get together, form a company and announce that we're now taking 1st batch & 2nd batch orders on our newly designed W.G.Y.M.M. (WE'VE GOT YOUR MINING MONEY.) 1.2nm ASIC chipset with a power envelope of .7 watts per GH/s. ...and stress "they must hurryc to get their orders in because there is only a limited number of batches left". Then watch these thieving, greedy companies fallover themselves to open up their coffers (with our refund monies) in a rush to best the competition to place their preorders. We can give them a time delivery frame of Christmas (won't tell them which one though) while using their money (which is actually ours & then some) to open up a Co-location site to pool all of our mining equipment purchased from credible vendors & mine away. When reach or approach the delivery time we can offer them refunds of 10-14 business days that we would then deem as qualifying business dates. For the vendors that commence to complain we can offer them virtual images of chips that we would virtually use to mine for them until... Well you guys can fill in the rest.
Just kidding for those that have been burned as bad as I have been by KFC, BFL or any other one of these big thieves, that would actually consider this or something like it.

Come on man. If they delivered in March the hashing speed would have been fine. The two are not mutually exclusive. You can still buy yourself 1000 BFL Jalapenos delivered tomorrow if you like and get a hashing speed of 7Th/s but the electrical bill will kill you. (oh and I am not recommending anyone buy anything from BFL it is just an example).

hahaha too true...i hate to see people getting burnt in the pre-order game and it makes me even more angry when certain manufacturers do not abide by laws regarding consumer rights or refund obligations. However there is one quick answer to this STOP... I say it again STOP just STOP STOP STOP STOP STOPPPPP clicking yes to pre-order nonsense. All you are really doing is locking your money up for 6-12 months and promoting this as common practice in the mining industry. If a manufacturer wants to make a miner then they can use their own bloody money or seek capital by selling shares or acquiring loan financing or by playing the lotto for all I care. If they still can't find the money then they just should not be manufacturing miners at all.

GAWminers has deployed hashnet (such as it is not sure if cloud hosting is worth it) it is the extra MH they will dump on the market (it is active now )....what is of note in that GAWminers claims FREE hosting till they ship I think it was August 28th on the Vaultbreakers (350mh and 750mh for 1/2 Titan prices) they actively claim to bury KNC..gonna hurt a lot if they do activate them on aug 28th
that would basically kill the Titan dead in its tracks ROI wise all that stuff hashing a month or more before you get your Titan with no increase in MH etc
again I'd like to see KNC fight back in some manner but with the deafening silence I guess we are just gonna eat it all ourselves on our Titan purchases
again above is what I've heard on GAWminers ..anyone with more current info feel free to correct me or add to the above ...guess I picked the wrong horse.
