How the fuck with that ROI? 4 bitcoins for 1 tera/hash for only 6 months. I think that ROI (with all calculators) is impossible I'm trying to figure out why cloud mining is such a rip off right now. You figure that there would be some price competition to bring the prices closer to reality. Because legitimate cloud mining operations don't really care if you buy their product unless you're willing to pay more for the hash than they can earn by mining with it themselves. You see, they are already making money by mining with the hardware now. It's a brilliant strategy for the operators and a terrible investment for customers. Very good analysis.

I call it an inflation-Ponzi.
Of course, there are some here amongst us who would say that Bitcoin in general is a ponzi … and these kinds of things don't help to counteract that perception. ~L)L~

if Knc offer a second Titan and ship before October and the Titan deliver 600 Mh/s for 600 watts, they will feel OK. else they feel deeply fucked.

Well let's see: - ship before October - possible, but highly unlikely - 600Mh/s at 600W - highly unlikely, almost impossible considering they already raised the specs once - free Titan - from the cheap ass Sam? Never!

Well they have the chips and they are hashing, so before october seems likely.
Speed, well I asked one of the engineers how they were getting on. Too early for numbers. When I asked if it was good or bad.... "It hashes", maybe I'm reading too much into those 2 words but I expect to be dissapointed.

Free Titan? Hmmm... how about the free Neptunes for CA batch owners? Weren't they meant to be delivered in August? It is now September and all I see is tumbleweed rolling by... From https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-88Neptune Two For One Program
It has come to our attention that not everyone has been fully informed on our Neptune Two For One program so we'd like to include information on that topic in this newsletter too: We understand that the math's involved in ASIC product deployment has to make financial sense in an ever-increasing hash rate race. In order to increase value for KnC customers we are adding one extra Neptune miner to each pre-ordered Neptune in batch one and batch two. These bonus machines will be sourced from our batch three production run which is scheduled to ship in August. If you're a pre-order Neptune batch one or two customer you don't need to take any extra action to receive these additional miners and we are covering all shipping costs as well. You’ll receive info on when and how those bonus miners will be delivered well before the shipment date.

This is the latest reply that I received from KfC about second neptune, still the same words without specific date. Aug 29 11:07
Hi,
Bonus Neptune's will be within the 3rd batch, which we expect to begin shipping in about one month after second batch. We hope to provide you with more information soon about specific shipping date.
Best regards Med vänlig hälsning

In their previous mail early August, they claim "the Neptune bonus miner is expected to start shipping after the summer" Now probably the bonus shitty miner goes to "the New Era Of Arctic Cloud Mining"... KnC, Kill and Crush you over and over.

Just read the newsletter in my email. Was the Arctic cloud hosting a joke? It's nowhere close to April Fool's. You can buy so much more BTC than what those hosting plans will ever buy at current rates.
A massive joke, indeed! But have a look around. All of the other legitimate cloudmining operations are way overpriced too. Lucky for them, they don't really need to sell contracts because they'll just mine for themselves. Unlucky for us, we'll never get an opportunity to continue mining once we shut down our @home rigs. Cloudmining will never make sense for people who are capable of basic math. On a side note, my PBMining contracts that I started in the spring actually have a positive ROI now. Although I don't see that happening for newcomers now. On another side note, I lost 4.4BTC on the Lunamine scam. And I lost a considerable amount on CEX.io too. So I'm batting .333 on cloud mining ventures. I mourn the days of lucrative mining hardware already. This sucks! how did you lose coins on cex.io? By buying GHs at higher price than I sold them for. Don't confuse CEX.io with GHASH.io. Same company, two different services.

is there a movie on KnC yet? hehe there should be...would be a blockbuster in the theaters The plot will be how an intrepid bunch of disillusioned miners...esp after their BFL horror stories...flocked to KNC to revive and believe that power does not corrupt..that shining city on the hill that beacon of honesty ..that ..er they what? they took the product they were supposed to ship to miners between nov and march and used it to buy a big data hall (no more then 5% will they mine but they will sell the other hashrate to others heh)....er...um....crap we've been BFL'd again (doh!) damn it! alas but these intrepid (if clueless miners) can take heart in the fact that thru their efforts they have made everyone involved in KNC very very rich and they have secured that KNC data halls exist and will be maintained and most important....KNC will continue to thrive (spawn?) with their cloud mining operation....which in the great scheme of things grinding down a few idealistic minions..to dust to accomplish their goals is for the greater good don't ya now..... meanwhile the intrepid miners are back to square one with their question answered in the YEP category that power DOES corrupt you betcha ..... BFL'd or should I also say KNC'd Searing

Screwed already by bitmain cheap L1, how much should I order them to compensate Titan while December? Even KNC ship this weekend, there still 2 month only buffer to face massive L1, won't survival with single Titan.

the L1 is 120 MH/S for 380 watts (estimated, warnings on the bottom of the page). The Titan may have 2 times better efficiency (400MH/S for 1kw ?)

Your math is off. The L1 equivalent of 400MH/S at 380w per 120MH/s is <>1266w, making the Titan <>25% more efficient.

I was considering a lot higher power consumption for the L1 than announced because of the warning. in fact we don't know the final spec of the Titan either. so only the futur will tell.
