Is 0.00000058 BTC for 840 shares right? Seems very low to me.
On what block was that? What was the number. I asked you to look that on a statistic page. |

What I have seen is that my miners report normal activity with no connection problems and yet one of the miners has no accepted shares reported on my account log on Slush's pool. The first occasion showed over six hours since the last share had been accepted; the second occasion showed over nine minutes without a share accepted. On both occasions, the time since the last share accepted matched the time since a block was found on Slush's pool but not necessarily the last block. It appears as if one of my miner's shares were no longer be credited after the pool's 'block found' event processing.
On both occasions, I stopped and restarted GUIMiner for the affected miner and share accepted activity on my pool account log resumed normally. The shares lost were not recovered.
Yup. I reported this exact phenomenon last week (among other issues) and the general consensus among the self appointed spokespeople for the pool is "Nothing to see here, stop complaining, working as designed". It was repeated issues, no word from Slush, and an almost hostile atmosphere from those who either don't have problems or can't be bothered to notice if they have problems that led me to move most of miners to other pools. I will say this, having my miners spread out on different pools and participating in pools with much clearer reward systems makes my daily reward look much more reliable so far. |

That doesn't mean your doing anything wrong, but it could be a bad dns entry between you and slush, or some issue between your isp and the amazon servers, or any of thousands of other weird little things that can happen on the internet.

And I now what your going to say next, slush hasn't reported back. Well I can assure you, he has seen your posts, and if there was anything he could do about it, it would have been done already.

Hiya I have made the very first version of MineMinder available here: http://fileshosting.co.uk/files/MineMinder_1.0.0.0.exe.7zNot sure if I need Slush's permission to call the API but I have limited the refresh to 10 seconds minimum for now. It's very simple, it just looks up my wallet address on loading (for ahem donations but nothing mandatory:)), then you can put your APIToken in the top and click refresh or enable the timer to refresh for you. It requires the DotNET 2.0 framework. Any problems and I'll try and monitor here for now. If it's worth it (and if anyone wants it) more features to come. I bet you 1BTC that he didn't read them... And how did you figure out 1%? do you have access to the pool? And seeing pool accepting shares and then not recording them is a pool problem for sure. Also recording them to the wrong worker is a pool problem. Seeing one worker connecting and other not with same configuration is a pool problem... |

Hi all I have added a couple of new features. First ... the previous refresh worker data is now shown in brackets after the current data ... this is useful for checking back on and also ensuring that you are submitting shares on each worker. Can you quote me saying that  ? You can't because I didn't. All I say was that I chanced pool priority and now I'm waiting to see if the pool will get fixed. And don't forget about 50 other idiots that did have same problems as I did not talking about probably 100s others who didn't figure it out jet... It must be idiot feast somewhere... |

Yes. If you start at the start and stop before the end you get much less then when you start in a middle and stop at the end. It was covered in a topic a lot of times. |

Problem being Slush pool not PPS it using Double Geometric Method (DGM) with constants set by fast decay and not having block carry across. Math penalizes for not mining entire block, even few minutes not mining near end of block can erase whole reward. Sorry to say but Slush pool not very good for miners who only mine few little times during day. Better mining for part time on PPS pool kind maybe 50BTC but not so much BTC per share. Good night. Two things 1. Slush doesn't use DGM it uses Slush method 2. Even part time miner can use this. It is numbers game. He might start at the end of a block and get much more or start at start and get less. It all evens out at the end and you get the same-fee. And fee is higher at PPS. |
