I don't understand, when I lower voltage, my I/s falls from 168 to 147 and Sol/s falls from 315 to 275, but my Shares per second, for what I receive payment, don't change. Does it mean that difficulty of share also vary and I will get less money or not? Is hashrate more valuable than shares per second?

I tried my new 10x ASUS STRIX 1080ti OC cards today with 0.58 and got wonderful 740-760 Sol/s at 80% TDP@temperature 48-53 degrees celsius with each card Smiley Looking forward for 1080ti optimization!
In my 1080ti strix is also the one that performs the best. At 100% PL it gives >800. Too bad I only bought one  Sad

I will look again into performance of GDDR5X GPUs after releasing 0.6.
Any ETA of the 0.6?

It can take a while after you make some changes to see it reflected in the pool. In my understanding hashrate is what you're looking for, a same share per sec doesn't mean same payment since difficulty of the submitted share may be lower/higher

@dstm
There are a lot of questions and requests floating around in here about development. Would you consider providing something of a road-map in the first post of the thread to explain upcoming features, improvements and timeline milestones?

Perhaps some FAQ's and basic troubleshooting too? the thread is flooded with repeats. Some examples;

Q: Can you give the option to remove devfee?
A: No, I like money

Q: Why does this miner crash all the time?
A: Because you scrubs are terrible at overclocking,
    Get acrefawn's automonitor and
Limit TDP by locking voltage in AB rather than setting max TDP (ctrl+f > select point > L > Apply)

Q: Why am I getting cudaMalloc Failed?
A: Because your pagefile isn't large enough

Q: What does "+" mean?
A: Consult the readme

Q: Waahhh my 1080 Ti doesn't get 1000sols
A: That's not a question

80% TDP!  Dang I might have to look a little more at my card a little more if you can can do that.
Water cooled by chance or just really good air cooling?

I built a open-air-frame chassi for the rig made of aluminium then I built a wooden case with 8x 200mm fans spinning at low speed for ventilation. 4x fans on each side.
My ASUS STRIX ROG 1080ti goes at 715-725 sol/s
The new ASUS STRIX ROG 1080ti OC goes at 740-760 Sol/s

Both are overclocked with 150 mem and core.

I shouldve went with the OC ones from the beginning Shocked

Well my exp here is
With 1080, im getting 565-570 Sols, on EWBF
With DSTM, about 550sols, - 2% fee = 540 sol = nah not gonna use DSTM

With my 1080Ti rigs, I see some slight improvement over EWBF, but If I take 2% fee into consideration, then Im at the same speed as with EWBF.

So....using DSTM Im not getting anything extra, in fact i would be losing $$.

ANd then, if it starts to crash, I have to redo my OC? and lower it = less Sols = even less$? Cheesy

Nah thanks. Kiss

what would be cool is if DEV for EWBF picked back up see how many stay here .. sorry i have issues with ass holes who are greedy...If i Understand it right dstm was gonna raise the fee sigh .... .... i guess 13 k a day wasn't enough they need more ...So that said and to make others think they won which they didn't I'm not using DSTM any more and going back to EWBF ...... I don't feel like I'm being fucked using EWBF or Using CM for that matter ... GL  DSTM i hope your Greed does you in Smiley .....

I created a Dockerfile for dstm 0.5.8.
I've found that using docker simplifies the management of my Ubuntu mining rig.
No more 'screen' or writing systemd/init scripts!

Requires https://github.com/NVIDIA/nvidia-docker

https://github.com/skinlayers/docker-dstm-zcash-cuda-miner

If you find this useful, feel free to toss some coin my way.

TBH I did not undertand what this is.. what would one gain using this docker?

docker is like a Proxy or cloud mining but you control it,  it's suppose to run with less drops off and be more stable an is if you have a bad connection but direct mining is always better .. so you need to try it out to see if it works for you . plus it helps automate mining but any good monitoring software can... i Personal use and bought AWESOME miner .. it does what Docker does and then some .. the only real difference is the price if your not willing to a pay a one time fee to use the unlocks of Awesome miner that are kept updated at no additional charge after the one time fee and need or want more control over your setup etc use Docker Smiley ....plus Docker might be harder to learn but is good to use ...

Docker is a software technology providing containers, promoted by the company Docker, Inc.[6] Docker provides an additional layer of abstraction and automation of operating-system-level virtualization on Windows and Linux.[7] Docker uses the resource isolation features of the Linux kernel such as cgroups and kernel namespaces, and a union-capable file system such as OverlayFS and others[8] to allow independent "containers" to run within a single Linux instance, avoiding the overhead of starting and maintaining virtual machines (VMs).

The Linux kernel's support for namespaces mostly[10] isolates an application's view of the operating environment, including process trees, network, user IDs and mounted file systems, while the kernel's cgroups provide resource limiting, including the CPU, memory, block I/O, and network. Since version 0.9, Docker includes the libcontainer library as its own way to directly use virtualization facilities provided by the Linux kernel, in addition to using abstracted virtualization interfaces via libvirt, LXC (Linux Containers) and systemd-nspawn.

As devs are making hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars per month, how about donating a portion of that to good causes like what https://pineapplefund.org/ is doing? That's what I would do if I were in their position. Atleast something to consider.

Lol, sure he wont do it. If he is not able to even consider to lower the fee(optionally at least, default :2%) and help the "poor" who are trying to make up some money so they can buy some nice holiday to spend with their families then I doubt he would give anything to donations. He and his "mates" even considered to increase it lol. What a joke. Like ..... earning 540$ an hour(13k a day) is not nuff. He needs 100k a day rite. Wait what?Huh? 100k? no. Lets make it 200k a day. They always said money are changing ppl. They change your personality. Thats true.

This sounds silly, but would it hurt him if he was earning 10k instead of 13k a day ? I doubt it. But would it help a person earning 1k to get extra 200$? yeah lol.
Greed is everywhere.  Roll Eyes

............if only there was a proper support for GDDR5X cards, 1080 and 1080Ti...

Hi, this version really needs a fix.
If my rigs lost connection with the server, miner just stops the software and closes. It is supposed to try to reconnect with the server, but is not doing that.
I have my rigs connected with powerline adaptares, so the connection brakes for 3 seconds 3/4 times a day. I NEED A FIX PLS!

Then you and the fecker guy should stop complaining about the fee. Take it or leave it, bitching about it won't change it as dtsm stated he won't change it.

I don't have this problem, but maybe simple script might help you? Since it will keep running miner again and again...

It's for Windows, miner is in dstm folder, script one level above, and I think you can lower the timeout in your case.

Code:
:mine
timeout 60
cd dstm
zm --server ssl://eu1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3443 --user t1N1eJnRtQuyai6ewvQsaJe3ACWAvHykqhu --time
cd..
echo DSTM MINER RESTARTED AT %TIME% %DATE% >> dstm_log.txt
goto mine

How can you calculate the difficulty?

It seems to be a HEX value, but the server mining pool hub expects float. Not sure if you can convert it from the logged value: 001980198019801980198019
