1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 25, 2023, 01:33:01 PM
Generally speaking, there are similarities between gambling and investing because they both involve risks. But if we are to go deeper and be specific, there are big differences. Even trading and investing are not completely the same. Gambling is a form of entertainment while playing and betting. In sports betting, we have a good chance of winning as well if we know really well the sports which are also comparable to making research when we invest money into an asset like crypto. In trading, we have the charts and various indicators to use as our basis and of course, research is still needed to make sure the asset we are trading is healthy and reliable.
1582  Economy / Economics / Re: marry rich: marry fiat rich or crypto rich, which is better? on: April 25, 2023, 01:11:02 PM
What is wrong with you mate? You seemed not educated the right way. Married for me is all about happiness mate and money is not everything. I would rather stay single forever for as long as I am happy and free to roam anywhere. We were not born to impress our parents, friends, and the media. Who cares about them, I live my life my way.

Crypto and fiat can co-exist although I would prefer the former if I only have to choose 1. So I also prefer a woman that is into crypto or at least not against it. I don't care if she's rich or not because it is all about compatibility and love that will make relationships long-lasting.
1583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 25, 2023, 12:49:44 PM
I think responsible people should run for leadership of country. Its not exactly about owning gambling businesses. Obviously I googled to know what this e-sabong thing is. It is cockfighting game which is really terrible for animals. I think the thing that should be outlawed is animal fights. Regular gambling does not hurt any living being. I would never trust such kind of guy, establishing very inhumane way of generation money through gambling, looking for political power through money he made etc. I hope he won't get voted we don't need that type of people around.

Online sabong or online cockfighting is already illegal in the Philippines IIRC but our country is probably one of the most corrupt in the world. So illegalities continue to run here when you have the power, money, and connections from various officials to cover and protect your illegal business.

Many of these dirty government officials won because they spent a lot of money on assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic where a lot of people suffered financially and had difficulty accessing food and other basic needs.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 25, 2023, 07:40:40 AM
I thought Curtis Blaydes could defend Sergei Pavlovich's hits and pull him into deep water, but I was completely wrong. As soon as the match started, I immediately realized how wrong I had been. Sergey Pavlovich swings such punches that they're all so strong and fast for heavyweight opponents that it's hard to see those fast punches. What will happen now? Does he need to play one more match before the belt match? Heavyweight complicated up Ngannou, Jones now Sergei is a total devil triangle.

I really have the feeling that Pavlovich was understated and will impose his skills in order to land his power shots on Blaydes. But knowing Blades and his experiences against top UFC fighters, I was still confident that he's got enough and will come out stronger against Pavlovich. Pavlovich is just so heavy-handed that his jabs are enough to hurt Blaydes which affected its focus and set up for more damaging blows to land.

I doubt Ngannou going back to the UFC anytime soon. It's Jones and old Miocic for the heavyweight title next. 1 or 2 more fights for Pavlovich and he gets a title shot. I still want to see more of Jones at heavyweight. I felt like Gane was just rattled facing the GOAT that leads to his defeat.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 25, 2023, 06:43:47 AM
As for Tank Davis. I wonder if he is now ready to fight for a title. He should stop cherry-picking his opponents because I would love to see him vie for a title for a chance to become a 2 division world champion. His mindset of being the face of boxing though might be an indication that he will continue to cherry-pick his next opponents.
I already assume that few weeks after this fight, after we know the winner of Lomachenko vs Haney fight, there will be a hype that will surface soon, and people will start calling for Gervonta Davis to fight the current undisputed champion next because that is indeed the right thing to do. People are already tired seeing Davis fighting a less risky opponent as that's what he did in the past or what Mayweather did. But since he is now not with Mayweather, I guess there will be no issue for that fight to happen.

I'm pretty sure that there are many hardcore boxing fans tired of Tank cherry-picking his opponents over the years. Despite that, he is well-marketed by PBC and Showtime. And he is the biggest star of PBC and Showtime after Wilder's losses to Fury. Floyd Mayweather was the biggest superstar during his days and today his fans and supporters are in Tank's hype train. This also indicates that Showtime/PBC is nowhere near the level of DAZN/Matchroom when it comes to superstars of the sport and the talent flooded ESPN/Top Rank.

That being said, there is a big chance that Tank will become a champion. Haney is expected to beat Lomachenko and then will move up in weight which will vacate all 4 belts. Haney was already struggling since the rematch with Kambosos in making weight and I doubt he can hold for long. Tank has the regular WBA belt which means he will be elevated as WBA champion if Haney moves up in weight.

...And with that win, I shoot up Tank to be my #1 p4p list, followed by Naoya Inoue.

How about everyone? What do you think of Tank's performance here, are you with me ranking him the top p4p boxer right now?
Jeez, mate! You need to relax and take a breath. You just got carried away by the popularity of Tank and Garcia. Tank just beat another undefeated prospect. Only that it is more popular than his previous cherry-picked opponents. Garcia is not a world champion. Tommy Fury beating popular Jake Paul doesn't mean he is on the same level as champions Opetaia, Okolie, etc.

Tank's never been in The Ring's and Transnational Boxing Rankings Board's top 10 pound-for-pound. And his win against another undefeated yet unproven and non-champion Ryan Garcia won't merit an entrance to the top 10 let alone at rank 1.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 25, 2023, 05:34:58 AM
...Without Inoue in the same division, he is surely the right boxer who should own it now but I'm just quite confused because they should've made an announcement this month regarding the details and the date of the fight.

You are right. I just realized that this fight still has no exact date and venue until now. I believe both Donaire and Santiago are now in their final few weeks of preparations. They were expected to have started their training camps in early March or even late February so this fight badly needs a venue and a May date ASAP.

I believe the issue here is Richard Schaefer's involvement with the Kinahans, a global Irish syndicate. Probellum already decided to shut operations earlier but later Schaefer was named as president of Anthem Sports which is expected to become the new promoter of Donaire. But there is also the tendency that Anthem Sports is having difficulty dealing with sponsors, venues, and television networks just like Bob Arum earlier shutting down the chances of working with Schaefer.

The information contained here, is more than the offer of gold. The present crypto space has been invaded with different kind of projects paraded by scammers. As a newbie in the crypto space, bitcoins is the way to go until you have a proper knowledge about altcoins and how to recognize those ones that can survive the test of time.  The promise of high unrealistic APR and increase in price is a red flag to some of those projects.

Yes, bitcoin is always the primary choice for crypto investment. It's always at the top and in the last years, we never experienced problems in its network, unlike the other blockchains and projects that are experiencing hacks and other issues.

Any project that provides a high APR is already unreliable. Maybe 6% is the highest but this is not even suitable for new projects and those that have low volume in the market. I would rather enjoy gambling with good chances of winning, especially in sports than risk in any hyped crypto projects that have bad tokenomics.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 24, 2023, 08:20:03 PM
Only 2 games today but very intriguing. At Crypto Arena, the top 2 seed in the west badly needs a win to even their series against the Lakers. But can they do it away from home? The Lakers might be only ranked 7th but this time they are healthy and are too experienced when it comes to the playoffs.

In another very important game today, the Miami Heat, another low-ranked seed at #8 in the east will try to take advantage at home with a commanding 2-1 lead over the Bucks. This time Giannis is expected to return, we do not know if he is really fully recovered from his injury but they badly needed a win as well. The Miami Heat though very well-seasoned when it comes to the playoffs are suffering from their own injuries as well. Butler and Adebayo are not even guaranteed to play while they are already without Herro and Oladipo.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: April 24, 2023, 08:58:24 AM
I'd been contemplating lately playing a play-to-earn game again. Is there anybody here playing profitable P2E games? I have a few hours to allocate daily. I am 50/50 between trading and playing. I want to relax in the next months so I prefer to play a P2E game but of course, I also want to earn even a little like $40 daily should be fine. Investing in order to play is fine but I am done throwing thousands of dollars for some games so my budget might be a little tight this time when it comes to NFT games. Trading is also good especially when the market is starting to move but there are times that it is stressful too.

I stopped playing these Play to Earn games for me it's a waste of time because I hardly get profit from playing these Play to Earn platforms, but if you want to just whilst away time and you play for fun then go for it.
I'm not really a gamer I was attracted to its potential profit because of the hype and the shill, but instead, I lose a lot, all the five Play To Earn I invested like Dpet and AgeOfGods are down 90 to 95% of my initial investment, I was a victim of hype of these PlayToEarn.
So think twice f you want it for fun or profit, I don't know if there's profit that I can expect in the future from this PTE, but I'm not hoping anymore.

So true. I also lost all of my play-to-earn investments before except Axie Infinity where I am not sure I was even or slightly at a loss or gain. I am stubborn though as I still see potential in PTE and invested again last year which was probably my last time to invest thousands of dollars per game. This year I haven't invested in any of these PTE but I am still believing that this young system will become effective and long-lasting when done correctly although profits may be little and it will be more focused on the fun and entertaining side. And I also learned in the past so I will only invest little amounts if I am to play again.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 24, 2023, 08:34:09 AM
apart from the fact that he can still fight impressively and might be next undisputed champion in bantamweight if he's lucky to unify the belts as fast as he can.

In Nonito Donaire's last 6 bouts within 5 years, it's only against Naoya Inoue he got defeated.

After his first defeat against Inoue, he reclaimed 2 winnings later on at the age of 38 and 39 with an impressive knockout win. I think that's the reason why he still wants to fight since Inoue is nowhere anymore in the Bantamweight specifically in the 122 lbs division.

I'm sure if he losses again at the hands of a boxer in the 122 aside from Inoue, he will now consider retiring from boxing and finally hang his gloves. Until then, he will just continue to fight and if he continues winning, maybe just targeting being an undisputed champion as his final target before retiring.

Donaire really has that lethal hooks that this division is not capable of absorbing well. Donaire may be slower now but his chin is somewhat durable in this division and he has enough world-class experience to try to connect his deadly hooks in 12 rounds. I am confident Donaire will become champion again but I am not sure how long he can stay as champion knowing his age. Hopefully, 2 unification fights will happen so it only needs 1 more unification fight to determine the next undisputed champion. Otherwise, it will take years to collect all 4 belts to become undisputed.

By the way, it's 118 for bantamweight mate, 122 is 1 division above.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 24, 2023, 08:14:09 AM
So congratulations to those with winning bets, especially Tank KO/TKO. What is next for KingRy? I feel that he might focus on his social media skills. He honestly mentioned some years ago that he is earning big amounts from it and is okay even if he was inactive in boxing. That is tempting indeed especially if you are already rich because boxing is not easy as you have to sacrifice a lot, especially during a training camp. This was probably the reason why Canelo and Eddie Reynoso kicked him out of their camp, both are gym rats. So I guess Ryan Garcia is done with boxing unless this defeat brings back the fire in him or if his pride won't allow him to get out of the sport after a KO loss.

2AM , wonder if I should sleep.

My problem, Golden State is playing in 2,5 hours and I really want to watch the game.  Grin

This is do or die. They win and the gain the momentum and Sacramento might get nervous. If they lose we all know it's over. Being this week on the road and having to win 3 straight with 2 on the road, that's gonna be impossible.

Draymond Green is returning after his 1 game suspension and will give them some defensive help inside. If 2 out of 3 players ( Steph / Klay / Poole ) make a good game shooting wise this will be a win for GSW.

I think it's gonna be a close game and I wouldn't wonder if it's open to the last shot. If the series returns to Sacramento being tied at 2:2 there might be a chance That the Kings are getting nervous. They are quite inexperienced in the playoffs and we all know what the GSW are, they are champions.

Gonna be an exiting game tonight.

Maybe your lack of sleep was worth it. The game was indeed very close and was open to the winner in the last shot. I really thought Sacramento would've won this game. GSW is indeed a very dangerous 3rd quarter team although the inexperienced Kings made their own rally in the 4th.

Now the Kings need to win in game 5 if they want to stay alive in the playoffs. The Kings are now feeling the pressure they never felt during the regular season. I am still hoping they can win this series against the defending champions but it will be an uphill battle. The best way for the Kings to win is to lead early and stop GSW's potential rallies. It will be very hard to beat the defending champions in the last few minutes.

1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SUI TOKEN PRICE SPECULATION on: April 21, 2023, 08:41:29 AM
Congratulations to you mate. I've been very busy lately that I am not able to track these big projects that are expected to release their tokens.

$0.03 is indeed a very cheap price although it is limited. At $0.1 per token, it gives Sui a valuation of $1 billion in market cap which is just right. I am not sure about its short-time growth though since it would've been easier for the token to pump if the public sale is below $1 billion. Long term though or let's say next year and 2025 where people are expecting a bull run, $0.2 is very doable.

If I were given the chance to buy cheap, I will probably dump half of it at $0.01 or above. I will then observe the market and do some buybacks when it's priced below $0.01, maybe a $0.05 to $0.08 ratio.

So no airdrop for SUI mate?
1597  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 21, 2023, 08:21:42 AM
Simple easy answer. What did you gamble then? So no, it is not gambling. For me, it is only accounted as gambling if we risked something, be it money or other kinds of stuff that has value. If you are playing something that enables you to earn money if you win, that is not gambling. It's like you join contests in sports, games, and other activities without gambling and yet you can earn if you win.

About the Suns, well they are back on track. Without Kawhi & PG13 they have no chance. They still made it a close game and it's not over yet but they are down 9 now with just 3min to go so I think this one is done and the home court advantage is back with the Suns.

It's really sad to happen to the Clippers. They have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George yet they never enjoyed the benefit of their acquisition due to injuries. I really doubt they can win the series against the Suns without at least Kawhi. The Clippers surprisingly made the game close but I doubt it will happen again when adjustments are also made in game 4  which will be their last chance to even the series at home.

KD is always expected to get the main focus of defense but Booker is the one making most of the attacks. One thing that made KD special is his efficiency, he is not the type of player that will keep on attacking if the defense is focused on him and the Suns has the luxury to have a dangerous line-up of stars that can take over their games.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 21, 2023, 06:06:26 AM
I cannot blame people to have full confidence in Inoue because he earned it. He has too many achievements and he is a guaranteed first ballot in the Hall of Fame even at this current stage of his career. P4p #1, undisputed champion, 3 division champion and he became a champion in only his 6th pro fight.

Fulton on the other hand is very brave by traveling to Japan to defend his belts. Fulton has the size and skills. Fulton has a proven solid chin too after what we saw during the Figuroa fight. So I won't be surprised if Fulton will try to establish himself early as the aggressor to gain respect and not allow Inoue to just hunt him like prey.
