Nobody can say or give a guarantee that the funds will not be shifted in the future. To avoid such uncertainties, it is better to have your funds stored in your own personal wallet than in a centralized exchange where you are not sure what could happen in the future.
Even while some of the exchanges are going the extra mile to have their proof of reserve known to the public, it is not enough guarantee to offset investors' fears.
I agree, you should not keep anything on exchanges, no matter how secure and trustworthy they may be. A centralized exchange is a time bomb and no one knows which particular exchange and when it will explode, along with your money. |

You had to do a simple registration and minting one NFT on a test network. In the end, whoever did it got 150 tokens that sold for $8-12. This is not an exception to the rule, there are a lot of different projects which give away valuable tokens for free, but there are even more projects which give away different garbage, so people have an impression that everything free is worthless. In recent years this have increased much, as cryptocurrency is well talked freely. The same is used as an opportunity by scammers to make money out of the common people with false statements. This can be overcome only through proper learning about cryptocurrencies and the market.
Scammers do not slack, and every year they create more and more scam tokens with big promises. If a project is traded on some pancakeswap, that's a reason to think to pass by that token. Usually such tokens have extremely scarce capitalization and trading volume, and their creators are anonymous and do not disclose their identity. Such a project is 99% scam. |

Solana is still in demand among NFT owners, as their native marketplace Magic Eden now has the second highest trading volume of all NFT marketplaces. Frankly, Solana had big problems even before the FTX crash, in the form of blockchain stoppages. Solana is still in beta stage, as far as I remember. With current situation there is a big chance that Solana will not die completely but will share the fate of projects like EOS, which also had pretensions for some development and competition and in the end those plans were not destined to happen. As a consequence, it never again reached the price peaks that it had before. |

It will be a big disappointment if the crypto market makes next year as bearish as 2022. Two bearish years in a row. I don't think this has ever happened before. 2021 was extremely saturated and overbought, 2022 washed all the crypto tourists out of the ocean called the market. What was left was the most convinced and the strongest.

I also believe that new coins would boom in the coming year because there are already lots of potential projects existing. It's just that we're still in midst of the bearish season so most of them are in the survival period but we'll see how they reasist the bear market. There are promises made by some altcoins but we should be smart enough to believe what's true from scamming strategy. It's the best time to fill our bags with good altcoins and hold them until we rich the bullish trend. Profitable days come to those who wait.
It is unlikely that the boom you are expecting will happen next year. The industry is not recovering as fast as we would like it to. It's much slower. I am inclined to believe that next year will be a recovery of projects, strengthening their capitalization. For a boom in projects to happen, there needs to be a lot of community interest and the presence of liquidity. The year 2023 will be cleaning up the aftermath of a harsh crypto winter, so don't expect some kind of bull run and project boom to happen in 2023. It's too soon. |

I don't particularly trust these confirmations of reserves from various exchanges, just as I don't trust their trading volumes. All these figures may be greatly exaggerated and created only to reassure clients. Every week I see another news that some other exchange has confirmed its reserves. Who confirmed these reserves? The exchange itself? What was the methodology of this audit? Who confirmed it? Or did the exchange verify its own solvency? There are too many questions to these confirmations of reserves. |

Do you think the hacker who hacked that exchange would put up a wallet.dat with that many bitcoins for sale? Of course, you can't build a large portfolio on $800. It depends on what goals you are pursuing with your investments. If you want to preserve the value of your money over time, then invest in bitcoin, and if you want to multiply capital, then altcoins. I would say there are two communities, i.e. bitcoin and altcoins. For somehow, my trust over the time is limited only to bitcoin, since alrcoins move up only when bitcoin goes up. What's the point in investing in Eth as it will only go up when bitcoin goes and vice verse? Moreover altcoins are subject to crash like we saw Luna this year. DYOR before making any decision. Not all altcoins are subject to this rule. There are altcoins that can grow even when bitcoin, and other altcoins along with it, are falling in value.
