2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 26, 2022, 08:43:50 PM
I would say they give even too much to City, I would have given like 1.25 at most, because it is clear who is going to win. Don't get me wrong like I always say it's football and even a championship level team could beat City on a good day, it is just based on luck and sometimes football gods wants you to lose, you hit a few unlucky shots, goalkeeper is on his day, crossbar stops the goal etc etc, and then one lucky counter and you are done.

But, let's be reasonable and understand that City is by far the better team, United may have recovered a bit , but not that much and they are going to end up losing this game without a doubt, it is an easy bet for me.
2262  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina to Hike Interest Rates to 75% as Inflation Nears 100% on: September 26, 2022, 07:16:33 PM
It is obvious that banks would be losing money if they were giving out loans and that was all they do, but they invest into companies, companies which arrange their prices according to inflation and make profit based on that, last year's 100 million can't be accepted again this year, this year you need 200 million profit to stay the same, because it has 100% inflation. This is why it is not because of that, but because they want people to withdraw money from the markets.

If the interest rate is high enough, we all put our money into interest, and when we do that then there are less money in the markets and that means we are going to end up with more valuable money due to scarcity.
2263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 25, 2022, 09:02:00 PM
It's clear that there is an unease with this cup, plus just the date change could be enough reason to not want it to be in Qatar, if they did it in July like every other one, that would be fine, but they said heat would be horrible and even in November-December period they would have heat so much that they put in giant air conditioners, which is why I feel like it's going to be a boring one for sure.

I agree with others though, this is one that we could learn from and that is why we could improve, we never had it there, and after seeing why it's a bad idea this year, we could maybe never have it again there, it's just not acceptable conditions for football in this scale.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 25, 2022, 06:22:41 PM
It's not acceptable for any coach to have something like this, but a further investigation is certainly needed, it could be a faulty news or something like that, we need to know further details. We all remember Kobe deal as well, but the suit was dropped, I do not know the details but there was never a charge that stick, hence why he was able to further himself as a legend.

I feel like if it happened today, the cancel culture would make sure that he would never play again, and we would never see the 24 at all, he wanted to put it behind him and work hard and he did and became legend, will Ime have the same chance to prove he is innocent and continue? I am not so sure.
2265  Economy / Economics / Re: US is a ‘developing country’ on rankings that measure democracy, inequality on: September 25, 2022, 04:33:59 PM
It is understandable because the USA has always been flawed, and they are given only 2 options to pick as a president, and 2 idealogy as well, if one of them loses votes to another, like let’s say progressives like Bernie Sanders started their own campaign, then democrats would lose, if republicans divided into pre-trump and after-trump sides, then democrats will win, so both of them scared to have a new one.

All in all, it is clear that they are just doing the worst possible and convince themselves that it is the best for the nation, and they can't be wrong because accepting that it is wrong would be improvement but it would lead to them losing to each other. Too much of a divided nation to get better, they care more about making each other miserable than improving everyone’s life to a better level.
2266  Economy / Speculation / Re: What can we expect from this statement of Michal Slayer.. on: September 24, 2022, 01:20:30 PM
Honestly anyone can say anything about any situation if they want to, I won't care about it at all and it's not up to me to decide neither. Market will make decisions based on what's going on and who says what, and I am honestly sure that the market won't make a single decision based on what he says.

Some people may think it otherwise and that's understandable, because they really believe in him, but I do not. Look at what happens when Elon speaks and look at what happens when this guy speaks and you see why one of them should be cared and the other shouldn't be. That's my understanding of the situation, maybe I see it differently but that's about the reality not feeling.
2267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is anyone buying right now because they think we are at or close to the bottom? on: September 23, 2022, 08:14:09 PM
I am. I mean I haven't in a while because I just made a huge debt for myself and it is going to take until December to pay them off so I won't be able to buy anytime soon. But I bought it at these levels before, and I would have right now if I had any money.

I was thinking about maybe taking a bank loan, nothing big like maybe a thousand dollars, and put the debt into smaller pieces, like 50 bucks a month type of deal for 24 months or whatever, and that way I would be able to both pay that back, and would not have to rush. Either pay it back until December with huge amounts and get rid of it and buy more crypto with leftovers, or pay until December and be rid of debt.
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will not survive the bear market? on: September 23, 2022, 07:10:34 PM
The big names are not ought to say, because some of the top 10, even top 20 will not survive. Realize that 5+ years ago there were other coins in the top 10 and we do not have the same ones mostly. Sure things like btc, eth, bnb, xrp all stayed in the top 10 compared to 5 years ago, and stablecoins only grew, but if we keep doing this then we are not going to end up with anything proper in our hands because others will go out, especially in the top 20 rank.

Find things that are working towards the future but always keep improving today as well, those are the ones that will have smaller improvements at all times, but longer period aims at the same time.
2269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) goes up, Bitcoin stays flat or even lose value on: September 23, 2022, 06:32:51 PM
Unfortunately XRP will always be in trouble because we are talking about people who did not do something proper, they are fully centralized and that is why SEC is on top of them at all times. I am not saying that it would make a great investment to avoid it, but not investing into it neither because it all depends on some news.

Look at the ATH price of XRP and when it was, while most others have it in 2021, they have it in 2018 because they were battling SEC during 2021, and there is no guarantee that it won't have the same thing on the next bull run neither. This is why it is smarter to avoid them as much as possible to not take any risks at all.
2270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) Price Prediction. Will LUNC price hit $0.001 in 2022? on: September 23, 2022, 05:38:28 PM
Why would anyone want to lose time on this scam coin? I mean to everyone who is not involved with it, it's crystal clear that it is a terrible project to invest into after what happened. The ones who are involved keep saying that it could be recovered but they are the only ones.

I would understand if we were some traditional stock market hedge fund CEO and saying that bitcoin is bad or something, but we are all crypto lovers here and we all invest into crypto and while investing into over a dozen ones, I am saying that this one isn't, and there are millions like me. To think that you would somehow manage to do it anyway? Like it would recover? That sounds a little bit foolish.
2271  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin for a business on: September 23, 2022, 05:11:12 PM
There is a simple solution to this, use stablecoins and then invest whatever you have left. This way you would be accepting crypto again, USDT or BUSD would be considered in the crypto world, and moving that via BSC or TRX will be very cheap as well and withdrawing it would be cheap as well.

So, you would turn that into cash whenever you need it, doesn't lose value overnight, but does lose value over course of few years due to inflation, which means you could put 10-20% or whatever you can afford to back into bitcoin and the rest will go towards covering your expenses. I do literally the exact thing and have been quite happy with the results so far, I can tell you that much.
2272  Economy / Economics / Re: US Economy Is a Safer Bet Than ‘Dire’ Europe, Goldman Strategists Say on: September 23, 2022, 04:33:41 PM
There is a slight bit of truth in this for Europeans to take a look at. I mean if we are talking about a situation where it's clear that people are not making any big changes in Europe, then it's going to stay the same and that's their trouble. USA at least increases the rates to a good level where it would help dropping the inflation, if you do not increase the rates carefully, then you are going to have high inflation that won't stop.

Euro needs some sort of 3-4% rate as well, not 1% and this is why it looks like US economy looks like a safer bet to me as well. This is not a guarantee of course, but there is a good chance. Do not get me started on the gas prices as well, it's a lot worse for Europe.
2273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 22, 2022, 09:59:24 PM
Why did people started to talk about El Classico right now when we have nearly 20 days before it happens? I get that it is the most important game because it allows people to see which one is doing better and it is entertaining and so forth but that doesn't change the fact that we are talking about a game that is long time away, there will be a few more games before it happens.

In any case, we should be focusing on UCL games they have ahead and the league games because those games will matter too, sure not as much as El Classico but if Real wins another game and Barcelona gets a tie or a loss, then El Classico could end with Barcelona win (like last year) and Real could still be ahead (like last year as well).
2274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 22, 2022, 09:40:30 PM
Once again world cup is getting closer and nations would have had some friendlies if they could but instead they are playing in this insanely sueless tournament. I can't believe that they are forcing nations to join this, it's just another way of making money by UEFA who already makes so much money and didn't want nations to do their own friendlies and decided that every single game could be played under either Fifa or Uefa banner.

In the end, these games do not matter, no proper nation would care about these games and it's clear that we are going to see them not even play their starting eleven at certain times, maybe younger players who want to show themselves.
2275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Saylor equivalents? on: September 22, 2022, 08:18:21 PM
I do not understand why people are worried, like for example if they are willing to buy bitcoin via microstrategy (which is not even a hedgefund to begin with) then they could end up buying bitcoin at coinbase as well, legally you would be able to do either do both or neither, so if you buy bitcoin at coinbase, it's better.

I understand the fear to buy bitcoin at a risky place, you shouldn't buy it at any risky place at all but that doesn't change the fact that trusted places like binance or coinbase wouldn't be safe. If they are afraid of it, then they should wait until they are not, because alternatives are always worse and doesn't make sense to me.
2276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't keep connected your wallet to a Dapps for a long time. on: September 22, 2022, 07:26:50 PM
I had this trouble before, there was a period where I was too much interested in defi projects and I was part of too many of them, lesson learned of course and I did not after a while but lost a good chunk there.

During that time I was interested in so many of them and connected so many of them (even ones I didn't invested into) that after a while I got a warning that someone tried funny stff with my address, eventually I used unrekt to make sure that I do not have any connection to any defi or actually anything that I wasn't using constantly. After I removed them, the warnings stopped and to be fair I do not have any money left on my metamask neither.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum POW - ETHW on: September 22, 2022, 06:35:12 PM
It was of course expected someone to build something where a hard fork of eth that continues in the proof of work environment. The ideas behind this will make some people want to be part of it but the reality is that we are not going to see too much of it becoming a reality, it is going to hurt them a little bit.

The reason why is that people who wants to see ETH being a proof of work will end up investing into this, it might have been given free to some people but it will be bought and sold and basically traded which means anyone who buys this for idealistic reasons will end up losing money because not many more will end up buying it forever in the long run, like bitcoin cash.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch gambling problem and Sliker issue on: September 21, 2022, 06:15:33 PM
Gambling is something you are legally could do after you turn 18, why would it be something that could be viewed by thousands of kids on twitch? I support the idea that it is not something that should be streamed, I mean this sliker dude himself is the proof that it would be a horrible way to continue your life if you are an irresponsible person.

At the end of the day, there would be a lot of people "if I only win once" type of thinking and thousands of people who watch gambling on twitch will see people win and assume they could too and end up losing a lot of money. This is why I support that twitch should ban gambling and remove anyone who continues to do it.
2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: September 21, 2022, 05:54:20 PM
Anyone who knows about formula would know that these long breaks would mean that anything could happen next race. Teams probably already stopped caring about this year and started their research on next year's car because it's obvious where who will finish, but there are a few teams trying to gain some positions in the middle pack and I am guessing something shocking could happen there, if everyone is looking at next year's car and someone makes a good improvement on this year's car, the difference will show itself.

I guess Mclaren could be that team, they got amazing sponsorships and money this year and failed to provide, that's why I am not sure if they will look at next year yet.
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meta universe on: September 21, 2022, 04:15:19 PM
I honestly believe that it is not going to be as good as people think it will be, it will be just an "attempt" and failure that is it. People are expecting the worlds out of the metaverse world, but the reality is that we do not have the tech to continue doing that for now, it is going to be very tough because in the end we are going to face with the truth that meta can't be build with whatever we have right now, not the money, not the resources, not the tools, not the people we have right now in the world could do it.

Of course we can have someone crazy like Elon Musk deciding to spend 50 billion dollars to try to build one, but even that would be very hard and would take a decade to build what "meta" means to us.
