I just wanted to point out to you folks who are mining with the AMD R9 devices, version 3.10 of bfgminer (available soon) will have a proper fix for BSODs when GPU mining:

https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer/commit/b888ed984511d867e04b63f92b75c39c9ba285d7

And that, folks, is why you use a modern miner that has official GPU supportGrin

Everyone say "thank you Luke!"  Wink

Luke has no interest in GPUs/Scrypt, so I think you might have played a part in that! Regardless, thank you both!

I'm telling you I was there and it was all him  Grin! He does not like altcoins that are alts for their own sake. He thinks GPU mining for Bitcoin is a waste.

But he is vocally supportive of bfgminer being a multi-algorithm miner, e.g. SHA, Scrypt and whatever else comes along.

He researched this bug yesterday and worked with a user on IRC to ensure the fix worked properly. I had no part in it other than being there to say thanks.

Ok, it's time to thank him as well then. I've read his opinions on LTC and other Scrypt coins, and that is what concerned me in the past.

I am having and odd problem running my BiFury in MM.

It is setup ok in windows but when I start MM It is not seen during the hardware scan.  If I have it plugged in before I start MM no devices are found.
I also get the same results with the new BFGminer installed.

I ran BFG by itself to see the msg and it says "User does not have privileges to install COM 9"  Com 9 is where my BiFury is.

I have tried this on all usb ports and my USB hub and while recognized I get the same error.

Do I have to do something special to make it work??

I'm posting here as I am still waiting for the confirmation email from your new forum.

Did you install the specific drivers for the Bi*Fury (not Zadig)?

Edit: Here is a download of the various INFs for USB miners:

I am very happy with the newest version and honestly would have never known that it is using Bfgminer instead of CGMiner. I do have one question though. When I go to Add/Remove columns on the Detail view of each card I cannot get the Rejected column to show up even though it is checked. Is this a known issue?

Several of the columns, including Rejected, only show up once there is a value in them (other than 0). I know it's confusing since you can also toggle the visibility (like you did) but it should work once you get some rejected shares.

Also note that you need to click "More details" in the bottom left if you haven't already to see all of the columns.

Hi, i have the same "problem", no rejected shown, yet checked, and have some (not a lot) in the api monitor.
PS : V2.3.4 bfgminer 3.10.0

PS : V2.3.4 bfgminer 3.10.0

Check the Rejected % in the API monitor, no the Rejected count. The % is what is displayed in-app, and won't be displayed unless its greater than 0.01%.

Ok many thx. That's the % of accepted share that's right? And why not the count like the accepted one?

Thx for all

A % is consistent and easier to glance at to get an idea. If it's above a given %, you know there are issues. This isn't the case with a flat count.

If you need the total rejected count you can double-click a device to view its details.

Again thx for your answer, and for the trick double-click.

I really like your tool, i'm currently testing it in comparison with cgminer (that i used at this time)

AT the moment, it seems that multiminer makes me more rejected, hashrate is nearly the same.

But i continue testing it to be sure (for the rejected, that's for why i ask this questions).

very practical and very functional, just this rejected i need to examine

I am having some issues with two antminer u1. I have tried google search before posting this, but had no luck. They get detected by bfgminer (manual scan), but they dont show up on multiminer.

Is there anything to check?

Thanks!

Make sure you load the inf file Mr Wools posted them on here.
Once that is done and they are detected by the O/S ok you should be all set as MuM detects them and runs them great.

MuM stopped working. I uninstall 2.3.4 and reinstalled and it still will not launch. I uninstalled and installed 2.3.3 and it won't run either. Any idea what might've happened?

That I'm not sure of.  Did you try only using the red to make sure it has enough power?
Also did the drivers install properly?  If so it should show up in your device manager or in your printers and devices folder.
Mr Wools would know way more than I do.  He is great helped me through issues too.

I put the Red Furys on a miner by themselves and run them with cgMiner 3.9.0.

MuM has been running Block Eruptors and BFL Singles with no problem until today. I made sure they had the right drivers using Zadig. I just put them back on cgMiner as I cannot afford down time. I don't know what I did.

I know MuM uses BFGminer for the backend.  It may be related to needing the right drivers for BFG as that usually uses FTDI driver pack.
