The other question is who are they and where did they get all these coins that they don't mind dumping at a "discount".
With the current crop of exchanges, you've always got to wonder if the sellers actually have the coins they are selling.

Did anyone ever find out what happened to all those gox coins?

all it takes is one country with an understanding banking system:

Obtaining banking services, he added, had not been an obstacle, as positive statements on digital currency from members of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party have made the process of setting up smoother than in some other jurisdictions.

wait, weren't you one of my trolls from 2011?

edit:  iirc, you made a comment in the Gold: I smell a trap thread right at the top of the gold price 9/2011.  can't remember exactly what it was but it stuck with me...

Bitcoin annualised inflation rates just recently went into single figures ... now at 9.91%.

I feel like a celebration is in order for the bitcoin algorithm taming inflation to below 10%!!

That chart looks uber bullish to me.. candle stick analysis. I think gold is in for a crazy bull ride like never before... but when is the question. Maybe bitcoin will pull it up one day as both acting as safe havens.

Yay! This is really a good reason to celebrate.

Honestly, I can't wait for the next reward halfing which will put us at around 3% inflation. Getting close to a typical central bank target...

I don't see what you see. The cross under 10% is supposed to happen in mid-2015. It may have been brought earlier by the constant increase in hashrate, but at the same time this causes a shorter block time and higher coin emission (around +10% these days), so I think it can be confidently stated that we are still months away from going under 10% annual inflation.

Uh, you do realize it's a zoom into the top in Sept 2011?  Gold promptly collapse $700 from here.

this one bears close watching:  TLT-20yr UST

according to my cycles we're overdue for a short term bottom here.  thus, i wouldn't get aggressive shorting this.  remember the dead bodies of JGB traders.  otoh, i've said all along that during the next crisis, unlike the last one, i think one of the twin pillars of US hegemony will crack; either the USD or UST's.  i'm still not sure which one so the only way to tell will be to follow the technicals closely as it unfolds.  either way, it could mean big trouble.
