1681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Shouldn’t Regulate Crypto Stablecoins, Says Circle CEO on: March 01, 2023, 03:21:50 PM
To be fair Circle CEO would say something like that, it is not really a shocking information. Obviously we are talking about something that is a bit more difficult to handle, it is not going to be as easy, or as acceptable for someone in the crypto world, specially for someone who is CEO in a crypto industry company.

However, SEC will consider it as very important problems because we are talking about some random companies issue their own dollars and selling it to people, that's a bit weird. I mean if I just printed my own paper money, and distributed, and said "this worths a dollar, if you need it come back to me and take your dollar" would you buy from me? You do it from tether though?
1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA), The Public Chain for Smart Contract will be Launched Soon on: February 28, 2023, 06:05:31 PM
Still? They have been working on this smart contract for so long, so many years, that I still can't believe it is not fully functioning big thing already. So many projects have their own smart contract already, and it is a shame that ADA still doesn't have a widely popular one that they created so long ago.

In the end, it could be like ETH or BNB where people have a ton of project, or it could be like SOL and be mediocre, or it could basically turn out to be like TRX and simply just have nobody really caring about it and ignoring it largely. Just because you have smart contract doesn't mean that the price will go up, it depends on how much it is used.
1683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 28, 2023, 05:22:15 PM
Lebron seems to be having some trouble with that right foot, it can't be "that" bad considering he played afterwards, but it is not good enough that he will be back next game neither. It is said that he will be out without a clear date of comeback, he will be just out and just day to day check how he is feeling, he will most likely miss a few games, or he should at least if he wants the injury to heal better or he could agitate it even worse, he may come back very next game as well but then it is a big risk and he shouldn't.

Best case scenario, he will rest for a week or so, not use that foot, just rehab the injury nursing it back to health and then come back. Considering they are in a bad situation right now, it will hurt their chance for playoff, but it is better to stay healthy instead of chasing playoffs that you know you can't get a title from anyway.
1684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2022/23 Season on: February 28, 2023, 03:36:33 PM
Galatasaray built a very good team for the season, and unless anything changes they have the best roster and could definitely end up with the title. However, after building such an amazing team, one thing is missing; striker. I know everyone is in love with Icardi and all, but they have him for just this season, which he can even be called back as well, so there is no guarantee he will stay whole season, and that means we are talking about a situation where either this year, or next year, they won't have a striker at all.

Having Icardi made them look so much better, but without him, if they get a bad one, or not even get one, then they will suck next year, which is a big trouble. They need to find someone that they can buy, not loan.
1685  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: February 28, 2023, 01:08:04 PM
I would say that cash is irrelevant these days. Look at the world and how the money exchanges hands, I bet that even crypto is bigger than cash at this moment, because not many people really use cash, and that's the issue. Sure we use fiat, but fiat and cash are not the same things, you could bank wire transfer some fiat, or spend your credit card to buy something which is quite common these days, but you can't really make any type of cash interaction that easily, it has to be face to face.

This is why I believe that cash is already trash, it was trash even if crypto didn't existed, it just doesn't make sense to me at all to use it at this day and age.
1686  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin On-Chain Demand Rising, But Slower Than In Previous Cycles on: February 27, 2023, 10:01:19 PM
I would guess that even if it is not a bull run that will break above ATH price, it is definitely a bull run that will go up as much as we would like to see it. This is a good result and should always be something that could help people out in the long run.

I believe that we shouldn't be really worried about the upcoming cycle and how much it will go up, as long as it goes up that is something good for us to be proud about. I am happy and excited about the potential we have, and it will definitely end up with something that will benefit us all. I wouldn't get a x100 leverage and long it, maybe it will have some downs here and there, but it will do great in the long run.
1687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: February 27, 2023, 09:38:50 PM
Just because it looks like we are stuck these days, doesn't mean that we are going to stay stuck neither. We could probably end up with a good price increase very soon, but until we do, people will always doubt about the price and the way it could go up.

People need to really see what's going on before they could make a decision which is a bit sad if you ask me, normally I would believe that people should not be worried about things like this and yet for some reason they really are. Hopefully by the end of it, people will be able to see the fact that bitcoin doesn2t go up until it does, you can't really "see" it beforehand, you have to have a trust in it.
1688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is there so much resistance for Bitcoin reaching $25,000 on: February 27, 2023, 08:38:21 PM
I am guessing that it's a wall? Psychology also plays a role after a while, when you try and fail, next time you try people assume that you may fail so they sell when it gets closer or even slows down.

You need people to buy and not sell, so if people see it go to 24.5k and slow down, they should be buying, but what happens is that they see it slowing down so they say it won't go above again so they sell, because they sell, it turns out it won't go up of course. Instead of selling, if they bought, then it would have gone above, but they didn't So psychology stuff like these matters a ton and should be considered as an important part of it.
1689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with profitability on: February 27, 2023, 05:58:02 PM
Definitely not something that I would do, just way too risky. If I have 1000 dollars, I would buy bitcoin with 700 dollars of it and ETH with 300 of it and just let it be. On top of that, if I could just end up buying more later on when I get more money that would also be great as well, it will help me out a lot.

However, if I end up with nothing at all, and that's my only money, trading doesn't make sense. When would you trade? If you could trade with 100 dollars and put 900 dollars into investment, that would work, or have 9000 dollars for investment and 1000 dollars for trading then it would work. Put some into investment before you start trading.
1690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Would you Describe Yourself As A Day Trader? on: February 26, 2023, 09:16:10 PM
I wouldn't. Even though I do it a bit time to time, I wouldn't consider myself a day trader because it's something I rarely do and I would highly suggest everyone to look into long term investment instead of day trading. The main reason why I dislike it is the fact that it is a very risky and difficult thing to do. The first hard part is to learn how to do it, which requires you to study and be better at it, and that's not easy, it requires you to study a lot.

Second part is when you study and become better, even then there is no guarantee and the market could be volatile and do what it shouldn't do, which is an issue and will definitely look tough in the long run.
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 26, 2023, 08:53:24 PM
It just looks like Real basically gave up La Liga at this point. Look at the roster, first of all the starting eleven wasn't their best, and secondly they didn't even bring in players like Rodyrgo for example, but leaving that aside, if Barcelona beats Almeria, which I guess should be an easy enough thing to do for them, it is going to be 10 points, 10! That is big enough that we could just call the season already, it was definitely close enough before but now it is not going to be a fair fight if you ask me.

However, Real should still be happy that they have UCL to play, and they could end up winning it as well, not saying they will, but they have that chance.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield Farming -- Is it still a thing? on: February 26, 2023, 09:23:25 AM
Yes, but not really. There are some which allows you to do yield farming, it is still something that is true in pancakeswap for example, and probably dozens of others that copied it, but at the end of the day it is not really as profitable as it used to be, it is a bit different and I would suggest staying away from it if I can.

Yield farming was just a hype in the crypto world because it was new and exciting at the time, a new way to make money and not just by investing but also a source of income at the same time. Passive income is the number one thing people love in investment and yield farming provided that. However since the bear market, they are not loved all that much.
1693  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a way to invest in food related industry to recoup market inefficiency on: February 25, 2023, 12:50:04 PM
I highly suggest looking into companies that have vertical farming closer to big cities. Believe it or not but they are getting more famous in my nation, there was a "farm" that was built for about 1.5-2 million dollars, and it provides food with 5% size of a regular farm would have. Imagine doing the same amount of crops in 5% of the land size requirement, plus the costs are 80% down as well, which means that it would be basically the most profitable thing ever.

Have dozen of these all around the big cities and suddenly prices start to go down a bit on food, and regular farmers would be in trouble and everyone would start replicating the success, I guarantee you.
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prosecutors seize SBF’s $50M deposit to small bank on: February 24, 2023, 09:36:19 PM
Of course him going around saying he is poor is a lie, it is basically a lie that he is trying to portray to court in order to say he didn't benefited from this bankruptcy and he is as much of a victim of it as everyone else. We know this to be wrong, he got super rich and not rich as much as he used to be, that much is true, but this proves that he is richer than most people.

Someone with tens of millions of dollars, even hundreds of millions of dollars can't just suddenly give up all of that because he bankrupted, he will try to hold on to as much money as he can, which will be caught of course like this and he will be even bigger trouble. Maybe he won't be jailed, but he will have a very difficult life for sure.
1695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traffic will jam if bitcoin pumps on: February 24, 2023, 08:46:55 PM
That's a good trouble. Same issue with fees, during the bull run when the price is breaking above ATH price, that means transaction fees increase a lot as well and that causes a bit of an issue for people who would like to deposit or withdraw or simply just move money around.

However, that is a good problem to have and we can afford it most of the time because we end up with making so much profit, so when you make that much profit, paying a bit more to fees doesn't really bother you. Same with the jam, there could be a lot of people, we won't care about it because we would be busy celebrating the insane increase of the bitcoin price and how it is doing.
1696  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading season? on: February 24, 2023, 07:18:09 PM
There is definitely no specific date to trade, you can trade whenever you want. There is a changing understanding of Q4 for example, at the end of the year it could become a little bit more volatile, but that doesn't mean that it will go up or down, it could do anything but a bit more volatile during those months. But even that's not guaranteed, I am sure there must have been calm years as well.

All in all, you can trade any time you want because one day doesn't look similar to next day, things change and sometimes things do not change for good or bad, it just changes and looks different that's it. I believe this to be the case right now as well.
1697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The FSB brings more regulations worldwide for this summer: More MICA on: February 24, 2023, 05:23:29 PM
I do not think that this would be bad, the main reason for it is the fact that the harder regulations there are, the more at ease you can use it because you are following the rules that government gives you. When there are no regulations, and you do something with crypto, you are not entirely sure if it's legal or not, but this method makes sure that you are on the right side of the law.

Maybe that doesn't matter to you personally, but trillions go through banking systems and Wall streets and London market, these all could go into bitcoin if the law says it's okay to do it, and that means price could be as high as a million dollars with that kind of money.
1698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FIX THE MONEY - FIX THE WORLD #Bitcoin on: February 24, 2023, 04:35:41 PM
This has been something that I have talked about a long time, maybe it is a political ideology, maybe it is not, I do not know what this could be considered as but it is close to this sentence.

I believe that, if nobody in the world has poverty issues, no house issues, no car issues, everyone capable of buying the brand new iphone, a new playstation 5, a good computer, visit anywhere in the world, basically living a "rich" life, not wealthy, not Elon Musk, imagine someone living in the USA making 130k a year, that's quite well, but not wealthy, imagine that being the lowest, but with current purchasing power.

I guarantee you that ALL problems in the world would be solved, that's it. Whatever issues we have, racial, political, war between nations, ANYTHING, would be suddenly solved, because we all would have too much to lose.
1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 24, 2023, 03:06:30 PM
I understand that Napoli looks like they can beat any team right now, but we should also realize that they are just too far ahead and do not have to care that much. I mean they are literally in 60+ points as of right now when no other team breached over 50 points yet, closest opponent is at 47 points when they are at 62 points.

This means that they could literally pull youth team members at this point and play 17-18 year old kids for a few more games while resting their starters and they would still be good. Of course rarely any team does that, best case would be putting like 4-5 bench players in the game but they could literally play with u19 and still not lose the title chance.
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin start rising up what coin is good for investing right now for short term on: February 23, 2023, 09:48:10 PM
Why not look for futures? If your aim is to make a quick profit in a short period of time, and you are 100% certain that bitcoin will go up, then buy 100x leverage bitcoin long and you will be making more profit than any altcoin could give you. If you are not entirely sure about it, then why risk it with small altcoins as well?

I know that people want to make a lot of profit, but if they are scared to buy 100x bitcoin then they shouldn't be taking risks of small coins neither, makes no sense at all, too many projects are already riskier than leveraging bitcoin, so it would not be smart decision to buy them. I would suggest just regular spot bitcoin purchase and holding would be enough.
