2081  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 35 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: May 10, 2023, 10:45:13 PM
Added SeedSigner
Are you sure that Seedsigner can be purchased and assembled for $50 right now?
RaspberryPi are not always easy to find and they often have higher price, plus you have to buy additional parts, print or buy the case and assemble everything yourself.
This is not a problem for me, but most newbies wouldn't know what to do even with detailed instructions.
Few shops are selling prebuilt devices but they are priced around €100 (on gobrrr.me).

Dimensions can also be very much different, because there are many cases (Open Pill, Orange Pill, Rugged Pill, etc).
2082  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project: Preturnio - a full text search engine for Bitcoin on: May 10, 2023, 10:30:22 PM
Good work, I think this tool can be useful.
I did quick search for several terms and some of them were Satoshi with lot of results, Theymos has a few spicy messages left, and phrase Bitcointalk gave me total result of 22, with 8 OP_RETURN and 14 inscriptions:
https://preturnio.com/results?p=1&b=bitcointalk

It would be cool if you could add alternative .onion domain, for people who are using Tor browser.
2083  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Way to Send Bitcoin without Internet [Theoretical Idea] on: May 10, 2023, 10:15:32 PM
There is already one  developer called Kgothatso Ngako who is very popular in South Africa for creating SMS-based service named Machankura, but that is centralized solution and SMS messages are not encrypted.
This is far from perfect but it gives people alternative to use Bitcoin with old cheap old mobile phones, there is no need for smartphones or computers.
To show you how big of a deal this is, I recently saw a video made by Coinbase exchange with this guy explaining how everything works in few minutes:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwtHpyNmZ2c

Bitcoin paper notes is another cool idea as replacement for cash we are using today, but I am sure people would make a bunch of fake notes soon enough.
For this we don't need internet until we claim bitcoin from notes, but there would be nobody to control market of this notes and authenticity.
2084  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] bitcoindata.science on: May 10, 2023, 10:05:42 PM
I just created one more API, which i believe may be useful in the recent days of crazy fees
Nice work once again!
You picked nice color that works great both on light and dark background.
I think Mempool APi is currently one of the best but it doesn't hurt to add few more alternatives to compare differences.
Maybe you can also add the number of unconfirmed transaction, that is still very high.

2085  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] 🔥🔥🔥 COINSLOTTY SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN – 100$ p/w, funds escrowed 🔥🔥🔥 on: May 10, 2023, 08:30:50 PM
With that said I am asking each and every one of you to choose your preferred way to get paid:
•   Every week
•   Every 2 weeks
•   Monthly
•   You are fine with all above
If funds are already escrowed like I think they are, than there should be no issue in waiting for payments on days when fees are lower.
This was usually during weekend but at the moment we can't predict exact situation and I think safer option is to have monthly payments, or whenever fees get low enough.
I am expecting another big jump in fees in near future because Bitcoin developers started working on disabling future ordinals, that means people will probably print a lot of ''tokens''soon Wink
2086  Other / Meta / Re: Knave! Masquerader! Charlatan! (SMF easter egg) on: May 09, 2023, 10:53:23 PM
Theymos can say: "i am the administrator."
And I can post it with quotes Cheesy
Let me test if I can lie say that I am also the administrator, without quotes  Cool
2087  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Foundation Passport Official Thread on: May 09, 2023, 10:26:56 PM
- Backporting v2.1.0 firmware to Founder’s Edition
I think owners of old Founder's Edition will be happy hearing this.
Do you still have some of those old outlet devices in stock?

- Sending to Taproot addresses
Is Passport wallet now fully supporting Taproot format address both for receiving and sending?
If you can confirm that I can move on and add it on my topic List of Wallets supporting Taproot:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5371499.0

This would be fifth hardware wallet with Taproot support after Ledger, Trezor, BitBox02 andOneKey.
2088  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Are there any smartphones out there that are hard wallets too? on: May 09, 2023, 10:16:08 PM
Have you heard SikurPhone?  It runs on a modified version of the Android operating system which you can use as an air-gapped wallet.
I think that SikurPhone is outdated closed source junk and I would never used it as an airgapped device.
This phones reminds me a lot on those FBI made  ANOM phones that criminals used for ''safu'' fake encrypted communication.
Best alternative device I know is opensource Graphene OS that works with any Google Pixel phones, and everyone can install it and verify very fast.
2089  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: What best to do after importing seed to new wallet on new computer? on: May 09, 2023, 09:57:51 PM
I plan to eventually move my coins to a Trezor wallet. But is there any way I can disable the old default wallet in my old PC, before I get rid of the old PC entirely?
Make sure that you permanently delete all files on your old computer, but if you want to be safer I suggest doing additional full format of your old hard drive, just make sure you have backup words in physical form.

Only way to move those coins from Electrum to Trezor wallet later is to make a transaction to new address generated in Trezor, but don't do it right now when transaction fees are very high.

I guess I can just set the lowest fees, even if it takes something like 22 hours for a single transaction.
With lowest fees there is good chance it will never get confirmed now in this mempool conditions.
There is no need to rush anything if you have old backup safe, just wait for mempool to cool down, unless you want to pay miners premium fees.
2090  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: May 09, 2023, 09:49:12 PM

2091  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Option to turn off RBF gone on: May 09, 2023, 09:42:30 PM
The option to turn off RBF has seemingly disappeared in the new update (Windows), it was important for me to turn this off for instant processing on certain websites, but now I need to wait for one full confirmation when transacting. Is this a bug?
It's not a bug and you can probably still keep older Electrum version (as standalone or portable) in some cases when you need to send transactions without RBF, or just use alternative open source wallets like Sparrow.
Having latest updated version of Electrum is better because they fixed some bugs, but with recent interface changes many people decided to stick with old versions a bit longer.
2092  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful is Coming Back but... on: May 08, 2023, 08:57:14 PM
So apparently, the CEO Ray Youssef reigned from Paxful but is not working on a new "P2P electronic marketplace" civkit
Maybe this is not such a bad thing after all.
Just few days ago I was thinking that almost all P2P exchanges would stop existing, and now we see new one is being announced and Paxful is back.
Important thing now is to monitor how both of them will handle kyc verification, but I am sure they will start competing and offering better terms to attract new customers.
Best P2P alternative for me right now is Peach Bitcoin for mobile, and Bisq exchange for desktop computers.
2093  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance announced LN integration on: May 08, 2023, 08:49:40 PM
After halting bitcoin withdrawals due "network congestion" (they are enabled again btw) and adjusting withdrawal fees, to combat that Binance finally announced that they are working on Lightning Netwok implementation for withdrawals  so at least something good came out from this mess.
That would be great to see but I think they need some time to implement LN, and people should use only non-custodial wallets when this gets enabled.
Maybe more exchanges should also consider adding L-BTC and Liquid sidechain as alternative option to mainnet and Lightning Network.
I don't want to sound pessimistic but I think fees are going to get much higher than now, so everyone better get ready for that possibility.

Could be a great step in the right direction. Wonder if this also includes a channel that allows deposits?
I think that all centralized exchanges that support LN have both deposits and withdrawals in Lightning, so Binance will probably follow that practice.

2094  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: My first contest : win a hardware wallet, a steelwallet and satoshis ! on: May 08, 2023, 08:03:23 PM
To be very very fair play, as Gazeta changes his prediction today, everyone can change his prediction until today midnight. Please send me a message.
Do I still have time to change/edit my price prediction?

And remember you said that I was pessimistic with my price prediction, do you still think that now?  Cheesy

dkbit98 27485 CHF
If possible, I am changing this to 24195 CHF
2095  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Flipper Zero - Multi-tool for Hackers & Pentesters - Like New on: May 08, 2023, 08:00:16 PM
I accept Bitcoin (BTC) only. The price includes shipping to your location. Please note that customs fees, taxes, and other charges specific to your country are not included in the price.
I have two questions:
- Can you write on package that this is a used gift item with low value?
- Is price fixed 0.01 BTC or some negotiations is possible if I decide to purchase it?
2096  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 08, 2023, 07:52:05 PM
Thanks for adding this feature! I'm just testing it out for our terms, including coinslotty, will report back soon Smiley
Just don't forget to mute or disable sound in telegram, or you will get nuts from all the beeps and notifications  Cheesy

PS
Amazing work as always from TryNinja!
2097  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: May 08, 2023, 07:43:11 PM
And we're going to have a factoid suggesting the TalkImg website.
Nice! I am glad theymos reaction was positive.
I started using TalkImg as my regular image uploading service, and I will consider creating account there.
My suggestion is to list TalkImg.com website on alternative.to (it' free), as alternative option for Imgur, ImgBB and other similar services, it will get some exposure outside bitcointalk forum:
https://alternativeto.net/

Please check your PM joker_josue.
2098  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Bitpr0.com | The Ultimate Crypto Gambling Site Directory on: May 08, 2023, 07:12:59 PM
Thanks for the hint, I removed Paxful.
I am reading crypto related news today and Paxful exchange is apparently back online again, so you can get back your link Smiley
This was temporary suspension after all, but it didn't sound like that first time they announced it.
Link with more information:

PS
Thank you for checking out Coinslotty casino Wink
2099  Economy / Services / Re: I offer free acceleration service for screwed up BTC transactions on: May 08, 2023, 07:05:09 PM
Just leave me your BTC transaction and I'll be happy to help you, I have a paid service and I can help you at no cost
What is your paid service website link?
I think you are going to have a lot of customers for free acceleration if bitcoin mempool continues with this trend.
2100  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: wasabi wallet on: May 08, 2023, 06:54:15 PM
U posljednje vrijeme viđam veliki transaction fee, npr. danas sam poslao 13.31 mbtc, a fee je iznosio 0.62 mbtc. Nikad prije to nisam vidio.
