2201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Projects Visibility (Sig Campaigns) in Bitcointalk. on: April 25, 2023, 09:30:04 PM
Interesting stats for signature campaigns and I hope you will manage to update this on regular basis (easier said than done), but I am not sure if Stake members are all maxing out their posts.
I don't think that number of participants is always increasing visibility of specific signature campaigns, it all depends where and how members write their posts.
@rby maybe you can include CoinSlotty campaign in you list, we started with small but mighty group of people, and soon this should be expanded to more members.
2202  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying anything from Japan with Bitcoin? on: April 25, 2023, 09:07:58 PM
It looks like a Japanese Aliexpress clone, that is not saying just the website design, but also the kind of products being offered for sale. Many of them are the kind of things other users would sell on AliExpress. For example, I searched for Nintendo Switch and I got results for various switch parts/titles but dubious results for the console itself.
No it's not like Aliexpress, it has much better quality stuff made in Japan and they are using multiple websites for that, with quality shipping and insurance.
Everything is on much higher level than on Aliexpress, and I can say that because I used both services.
Japan makes much better quality stuff and it's not easy to find this for western people, even harder to buy something for Bitcoin... Aliexpress junk is available everywhere.
Alipay exist because people from China also want high quality stuff Wink

Amazon + any of the crypto debit cards seems like a more elegant solution than this. Sure, you have to deposit money on Binance/Coinbase (I don't know if you have to do that for Coingate too as I never used it) or whatever debit card you use but I would rather chose that and get Amazon customer service which is at the top of my priority list when chosing a place to buy stuff.
There is Amazon Japan included in Zenmarket, but that is just tiny percent of stuff available.
You can also bid on Yahoo Japan auctions, and buy anything for much lower prices than on Ebay or Amazon Japan, I can vouch for this.

Since they are using payment processor, they don't even deal with bitcoin and instead CoinGate does that part for them so in the end you pay with bitcoin and Zenmarket gets fiat. Therefore, no worries about customs seeing bitcoin payment invoice since there is none.
Correct, invoice and prices are listed in Japanese Yens, but there is option to remove all of that and send without any price tags.
Anyone who ever worked with people from Japan knows how precise and accurate they are.

2203  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin Twitter account hacked, $22k lost on: April 25, 2023, 08:54:34 PM
As you can see from the screenshots below, Kucoin Twitter account giot hacked last night and attacked managed to get $22k from unsuspected Kucoin followers. Luckily they regained the control after ~45 minutes so loss is not too big, but its still an embarassment, especially since they allegedly had 2FA enabled as well.
Well they have ''blue checkmark'' sign of ''trust'' and because of that brainwashed people are going to send money to scammers without thinking, because thinking is luxury and it's hard  Tongue
It was stupid mistake by Kucoin admins, but I wouldn't say 22k is small amount for 45 minutes of control, imagine the damage they would do if they had 24 hours or more control...
2204  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [banned mixer] - CoinJoin powered Bitcoin Mixer on: April 25, 2023, 08:42:00 PM
Nope, first time here and happy to offer our Bitcoin mixing service. To dispel any suspicions, read the latest posts in this thread 2023 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites
OK, but I don't understand what exactly should I see in that thread that is so special to dispel all my suspicions...
If you are using regular Coinjoin than I see no reason for making any risk when I can use decentralized Coinjoin or Joinmarket solutions with available open source wallets.
Maybe you can explain what advantages you are offering compared to other or create some review campaign in forum.
2205  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Bitcoin Mixer on: April 25, 2023, 08:34:20 PM
We fully agree with you on the centralization risks, but considering our architecture we might go as far as say that unless we choose to exit-scam ourselves it's pretty much impossible to exploit Whirlwind or take it down.
It's enough that ''someone'' continue DDOS attacking your website and take them down or find your real location.

Clearnet is still down because it wasn't a priority until now, we wanted to finish up all changes on the actual product before dealing with this. It's on the list for tomorrow, and once we solve it we don't expect any more downtime. It's also worth noting that the Tor service wasn't offline at all as it's completely unrelated to the Clearnet server.
I prefer using onion version myself, and we previously saw scammers hijacking clearnet websites and/or replacing addresses for other mixers.

Open-source everything and implement something similar to a Proof of Stake mechanism making the process to run a signer(validator) trustless
That would be nice, but making this open source can be a double edge sword sometimes.
I am not criticizing this idea at all, just stating my opinion and potential dangers of moving in that direction.

Open question for everyone: We could fund some wallets ourselves and offer users an extra option to receive the private key of an address that was funded before they made their deposit instead of withdrawing from the multi-sig after the deposit was confirmed. In your opinion is this something worth pursuing?
That means you and receiver would both have private keys for those addresses?
If that is the case, than my answer is No.

To be honest, I am just not too familiar with Tor.
It's the almost same thing like Firefox browser, but you can also browse onion links with Brave browser (not recommended to be used as replacement for Tor browser).
2206  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ✅PSTNET – Trusted Virtual Crypto Cards⭐️Reloadable payment cardsⓂ️ Review copies on: April 25, 2023, 07:24:44 PM
And so we increase the comfort level of our users again!
The minimum withdrawal amount from a ⭐️PSTNET account is now $300 (instead of $500), which is another step towards the universal payment solution we are striving for.
We work further 💪
What does PST Private means?
Is verification for this cards mandatory and can this cards be used without verification, only with random Name, Surname and Email address?
On your twitter I see that cards are issued in one minute and no documents required, but it's different story on your website Terms of service page:
https://pst.net/legal/tos

https://twitter.com/pstdotnet

Biggest risk for me is that pst.net domain was just recently updated and has connection with some Russian websites.

2207  Economy / Reputation / Re: Discussion on buying/selling accounts/users actively seeking possible bought acc on: April 25, 2023, 07:06:42 PM
Is a neutral tag appropriate for accounts that are bought that have no reputation, or should accounts be ruined period?
There is no universal answer for everyone.
I think that neutral feedback is enough in most cases when suspected purchased account is identified, but sometimes negative feedback can also be applied.
Neutral feedback should be given if user purchased account only to participate in signature campaigns with low quality posts, with no real contribution to forum, and for making up fantasy stories and lies.
Negative feedback should be given for high ranked members with prior reputation that changed hands, when someone is caught scamming other members, or doing other suspicious activity in forum.
2208  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] AgoraDesk.com | Buy ♻️ Sell Bitcoins Anonymously! on: April 24, 2023, 10:16:10 PM
We can never exclude a massive government crackdown, of course, but so far P2P trading is OK.
Yeah but you never answered what are you doing to prevent this from happening to AgoraDesk Smiley
I don't believe in all the strange stories that happened to all other P2P trading websites all of the sudden, and if I remember correctly one of them publicly said they had to shutdown because of issues with regulations.

Sorry but I have to say this sounds a lot like something scammers would say. Tongue
I have suspicion that many new mixers are either created by three letter agencies or by scammers with rinse and repeat schemes.

Your website looks new but I have a strange feeling I saw it before, with the same pitch and mentioning of using Coinjoin.
Have you been registered in bitcointalk forum before with different name/service?

2210  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Bitcoin Mixer on: April 24, 2023, 09:47:53 PM
The Pay to Note feature enables instant, feeless and anonymous BTC transactions. Gone are the days where you want to send some Bitcoin to your friend but you worry about him checking out your past transactions so instead you are forced to use Monero. Now it's possible to do everything with Bitcoin with much more convenience and in much better conditions since all transfers are instant and free. Whirlwind is the first and only service to ever implement such a feature and we hope that our users see the value and opportunities that this brings.
This all sounds nice on paper but I wouldn't compare this new Pay to Note feature with monero, since this is fully centralized system, I think that privacy is inferior, and we need to trust you.
If your website goes down both on clearnet (like it is now) and onion version than we have nothing left to withdraw.
On positive note, paying zero fees is a nice feature, but I will always have some reservation towards centralized mixers, especially after CM takedown aftermath.
2211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinjoin on Trezor Suite on: April 24, 2023, 09:34:47 PM
Exactly. They only removed it when it became clear it might hurt their profits. They should never have considered implementing it in the first place, for the moral reasons of not helping centralized exchanges spy on their users.
Dude c'mon they are business, not a charity, unless you want to go full communism hardware wallet.

Doesn't matter to me in the slightest anymore. I don't care if Trezor release the greatest hardware wallet the world has ever seen (or you know, even fix the critical seed extraction vulnerability Tongue). I will never purchase another Trezor device as long as they fund blockchain analysis.
I don't care what you do with your money at all, and you don't have to send your buying reports to me in public  Wink
Meanwhile you are going to continue trusting other centralized mixing services, even after it was proven that they deceived users about deleted data.
That looks like double standards to me.
2212  Economy / Reputation / Re: Changed language in history. Bought? Hacked? on: April 24, 2023, 08:38:33 PM
Sorry but you are digging your hole deeper with each new post...
Cringe story, new screenshot confusion, speaking English with late bro because wazzzup banned Naira, and more begging that is not allowed in forum.
Sir martyns If you had money to purchase this account you should be more careful and try to improve your post quality, that is very low quality.
I can't read and understand many of your posts and that goes way back looking at your post history.
2213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinjoin on Trezor Suite on: April 24, 2023, 07:46:30 PM
Given their support for AOPP last year, embedding KYC requiring exchanges in to their software, and now funding mass surveillance and censorship, Trezor really have taken a major turn for the worse.
Let's be fair, they removed AOPP after community reaction, and I still didn't hear a single case of people complaining for mass censorship because of Coinjoin someone used, you painted unrealistic dark picture.
Now I can also criticize Trezor in more realistic way, for example they introduced Tor support for Trezor Suite while ago, but it was really bad implementation that leaked real addresses  Tongue
This would continue to happen if some good community member didn't report this issue on their github page.

Real rookie mistake, Trezor Desktop App with Tor Leaks DNS Queries:
https://github.com/trezor/trezor-suite/issues/8185

Trezor Desktop App with Tor Leaks DNS Queries
https://www.reddit.com/r/TREZOR/comments/12ut21x/trezor_desktop_app_with_tor_leaks_dns_queries/

Trezor's Tor features are either fishy or poorly implemented.
https://www.reddit.com/r/TREZOR/comments/12u0fbd/trezors_tor_features_are_either_fishy_or_poorly/

And on top of that, since Trezor does not use a secure element in their wallets, nobody should have been using them anyway.
Secure element is not a holly grail  Roll Eyes
It's better to be fair open source device without secure element, than to be closed source black box with NDA secure element.
And btw Trezor is in final stages of releasing their own secure element.
2214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Help]Setting up my AG(Air Gap) Laptop on: April 24, 2023, 07:34:39 PM
1.) What Bitcoin wallet will I use to generate seed phrases offline using the air gap laptop?
Electrum wallet is a good option, but you can also use Sparrow wallet as alternative, both are open source wallets.
There is third option to generate seed phrase manually and calculate last word, but you don't need to go that far if you ar3 doing this the first time.

2.) How can I maintain my laptop functionality since I don't have the option to update my driver?
First you should buy new hard drive or format old one and install latest Linux operating system, Fedora, Debian or Mint are solid options.
You don't need to update any drivers for Linux, but you can do offline update every year.
It's important to keep seed words in safe place written on paper or metal, so you can easily recover your wallet.

3.) How can I transfer funds from my Air Gap Laptop to my external wallet without the internet or at least a way to safely transfer it?
Easiest way is by scanning QR codes for transactions, you need to have working camera and secondary device like your smartphone.

4.) Is this worth it?
You wont have any financial benefit if you are thinking about that, but you will have better security if you set up and use everything correctly.

This is a lovely idea. Once we triple our numbers of sig carriers we can make this happen easily Smiley
You keep teasing us with mysterious new signature Cheesy
I didn't mean we the participants should decide who the winner should be, but it is possible that you hear our voices along with Coinslotty team, maybe we can give valuable feedback.
My suggestion is to do that for new design of ANN thread competition:

2216  Economy / Reputation / Re: Changed language in history. Bought? Hacked? on: April 23, 2023, 10:15:09 PM
My account isn't a hacked one or a bought account, this account is a gift from my late brother  on my birthday,he schooled and lived at Indonesia with his family and remember to give me this account after he stopped usage of it for a long while,I live and stay in Nigeria, while my brother stayed at Indonesia with his family.
Sorry but I don't believe at all in this made up story of late brother who lived in Indonesia but never once wrote in Nigerian language in forum before he allegedly gave you ownership of this account.
Indonesia and Nigeria have nothing in common, and I never before heard of guy from Nigeria living in Indonesia  Roll Eyes

but my account is not one of them,it's a gift from my brother, please.
You never before heard that if you admit something it could be forgiven, but not if you continue making up stories like this.

I need a reversal of the tags, because life will become more tougher if my account is rendered useless. This forum has been my family ever since this account was gifted to me.I beg for reversal of tags please. Thank you.
I could consider removing my feedback if you finally admit truth and show proof who sold you this account, or show us photos of your Nigerian brother living in Indonesia, I would love to see either one.

Tell your brother to come on the forum and write an explanatory post in our indonesian local board.
Dude, it's not going to happen because his alleged ''brother'' is dead aka ''late'' according to him.

I really have no idea why some members are jumping and leaving neutral / Negative feedback.
Because he is making up stupid stories.
If he admits the truth I am think most people would remove negative feedbacks, but I don't see anything wrong with neutral feedback in this case.
2217  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] 🔥COINSLOTTY🔥 Signature Design Competition – Rewards Up To $175🔥 on: April 23, 2023, 09:25:40 PM
Update: rat03gopoh delivered his work just a moment ago, I will pull all designs through the internal team tomorrow and come back with the conclusion soon.
Can't wait to see what signatures designers created.
Can we as active signature participants give our vote and opinions about submitted designs?
2218  Economy / Reputation / Re: Changed language in history. Bought? Hacked? on: April 22, 2023, 10:07:30 PM
 Account  martyns
I can't wait to see his explanation about this, but there is high chance that account changed hands.
There is always a chance for someone to speak multiple languages, but almost zero percent of someone from Indonesia learning Nigerian language.
I see martyns is a member of Yo!Mix campaign, and managers should keep an eye on things like this.

They are probably under Swiss jurisdiction, according to their privacy policy and terms & conditions page.
I remember they said limitation for cash trading was also according to Swiss law, and company registered address is:

2220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinjoin on Trezor Suite on: April 21, 2023, 08:54:46 PM
Yeah, as RickDeckard says, there is absolutely no requirement for Trezor to work with zkSNACKs at all. They could run their own coordinator, they could set up their own coinjoin process, they could partner with Samourai or JoinMarket, they could just not implement coinjoin at all. By specifically choosing to partner with Wasabi, they are directly choosing to support surveillance and censorship when alternatives exist.
Opinions are divided about this decision by Trezor, I was hoping they would start different coordinator but it seems nobody is willing to take a risk with regulators now.
Good thing that nobody is forced to use Coinjons with Trezor or Wasabi, you can use anything else instead.
Samourai also don't have such a great reputation and history, so I think people should focus more on Joinmarket.

Nitter also shows hidden replies by default, so you can see the dozens of tweets calling out Trezor for supporting censorship that they have hidden. Roll Eyes
I really don't understand why they started doing that, they even deleted one of their old tweets when they criticized Wasabi for censoring transactions.
