Mbackout,

Can you post up Side/Rear views?

Close-up shots of the inside?

If you don't mind can you show it actually mining over 6-12 hours so we can see it's hash rate consistency?

Were you able to check it's power draw?

Thanks!

The AMT 1.2TH plate looks like shit but if it functions then who gives a shit.

Edit: Or maybe there is a piece of plastic that needed to be pulled off.

Sweet baby Jesus the miners actually exist.

I like it, it looks pretty cool, looks better in person.  But you have a point.  the unit is hashing does it really matter what it looks like.  nope

I'm just happy the miners exist.

Did it look as if they had a stock pile? Well if not a stock pile, like there were parts enough around for them to ship the sold amount of units?

Also I thought they were expanding the back plane to fit more modules if people wanted to up grade. I mean it looks like you're only getting one more in that case at the most space wise anyway.

The option to upgrade would be nice rather than going whole hog on another miner , which lets be honest if they don't drop the price here soon we'd be better off with other options.

There is a different back-plane which can support more cards.  I didnt see one to take a picture of it but they told me about it.

Did you ask about the miner protection program? Will we be receiving 1.5 th at some point?

How fast is it hashing? Any idea of it's power draw?

I am relieved that they did actually make the things. I've not been real happy with the drama I got myself in here Cheesy

Actually, that brings up a few more questions: Are the boards AMT with A1 chips, or are they Bitmine.ch, Technobit, Huh Ok, I know they aren't Technobit cuz Martin already said so.

It has 5 blades... At 300gh each maybe giving it 1.5 not sure... Hopefully that's the case. How's your unit holding up bio?

One of the cards went south on me yesterday. Trying to determine if it's fixable. I started a thread about it in custom hardware... but it blew sparks out of a couple of capacitors, one of which is now a crater. The PSU shut down before much was damaged, at least. I suspect the card had issues for a while, since the other one running solo is consistently doing about 45 GH/s now, whereas the total between them was rarely over 80. Really solidly AT 80 until yesterday Sad

Martin of Technobit has said it probably overheated because of insufficient heatsinks and being in a tight case. I should have taken people's advice and ran 'em in the open air to begin with. Oh well, live and learn. I may be able to repair it, or sell it cheap to somebody who can. Sucks losing half my hashrate, though.

Well my last e-mail from Jim told me that mine would be shipping out by the end of this week. If it doesn't perhaps I'll just ask for my shipping back and fly in for pick up.

Over a thousand watt, a brain dead airflow design and just one fan that does anything useful. Good luck with that. Biomech's little 80GH miner lasted what, 2 months? Im giving this 2 weeks tops before something fries.

I'll put a huge fan on the side and open the other side as well...wouldn't want the miner to fry. with a closed box and just turning it on... it might not even last a couple of days. I think its better to be smart and Fan up Cheesy

It's going to be quite a bit over 1000W, if they're still using that 8 chip board and running at 30GH/s per chip. The aren't going to get 1J/GH at those speeds. I imagine they're going to be leaning on that 1500W supply pretty heavily.
Good to see the first couple roll off the line, but that thing is going to melt with the side on the case.

The boards are a modifed bitmine.  What i mean by that is they were the bitmine design but improved the flaws of the bitmine boards.  I will do power draw tests later this week.  I just wanted to get the box up and running.  I dropped it off at the location which i have my miners but its not close to my house.  I am planning to get out there on friday or over the weekend.

Actually based on the design and cooling I have the perfect case to replace it...this design just looking at it is inefficient. http://azzatek.com/csaz-9000.html
As it looks like it pulls heat out it needs effective intake to work. A case with an upwards intake from the bottom and exhaust at the top will keep this thing nice and cool. I already use one of these cases in one of my server/workstation builds. This assuming the ATX/EATX form factor is interchangeable. Looks nothing like the original renderings tho lol.
