If the miners are being shipped now, they must have been running the miners themselves to collect BTC.

Delay for as long as possible before the end of March, so they can bank on the BTC that is being mined.

Sounds like we've essentially funded AMT's mining operation.

There is no way that Josh DIDN'T mine, for the selling shovels analogy doesn't work when it comes to mining bitcoins oppose to digging for gold. With the latter, the shovel supplier would have had to travel a great distance to use them expensive shovels, not being able to man the store to continue satisfying sales, but with the former, all could be done under one roof.

Josh didn't enter the Bitcoin realm thinking to himself that I will be the most honest bitcoin miner supplying on the planet and won't mine. He knew/knows full well that basically there's no real way to prove or disprove that he would mine, thus getting the best of both worlds.

Did I mention that I ordered a 16" pizza to be delivered to my hotel room?

looking back at mblackouts earlier posts he said his order was originally due 1rst week in Jan. That would put him in the upper 600's.
With AMT having shipped out so many miners it is starting to look like they are purposely skipping numbers on the unofficial list as Mblackout has never given out his number that I can find.

Josh stated to me that there were a lot of hosting outfits that ordered a slew of miners he felt should get the units first regardless of queue position.

Then why are is there even an order queue?

Ridiculous.

As for saving Josh a headache, who gives a fuck about his welfare? Hopefully we can give the guy an aneurysm.

Having an order queue simply looks good. Also, it's not him maintaining any queue position. The queue thread is maintained to act as a bearing as to who ordered what when.

It is a fact that no queue position is being honored.

Anybody capable of building the miners themselves should just have all the parts delivered, even if you forego the case and power supply(s), and have something else thrown in for the inconvenience. This option would save Josh a myriad headaches and downtime.

I'd be game for that esp considering mine is for just what was the 520. Considering the blades are 200GH each, make it 3 blades, backplane, controller & special cables along with a guideline to connecting things & running it and I'd be happy.

That sucks if that's the case. Here are our options:

1> Receive miner VERY late. It cannot ROI. Left with trying to resell it as soon as you get it to someone stupid enough to buy it.

2> Everyone sues and tries this way to get their money back. If no money is returned, well maybe jail time for Joshy boy.

You're right, both of these options suck. How about pipe dream option #3???

3> Josh reveals to us on Monday, that to make up for everything, he just finished drop shipping 3.2 TH miners to everyone that ordered and we receive them the next day.

Let's be optimistic, maybe #3 will happen!

I already made that request both in this thread and by email. Hell if the controller board is just an SDcard OS I was gonna pop it on an RK3066 or RK3188 SBCs I have just to get a little more horsepower for the web interface based on the performance I saw. Either way I just want the parts Dont care about a case. Hopefully I hear back soon about that.

Have to say though this mess seems to revolve around all things coincraft A1 right now. But a lesson learned here. Go In Hand hardware only. This whole preorder has been a mess for everyone who has had to deal with it.

I assume the AMT units use the RasPi? If so, ya. My Ants use the RasPi running Arch as OS and OpenWrt as the router for running data to/from the ASIC's. Not especially responsive to the outside world while hashing. Hardly a problem though.

Something I just remembered during this penning: Josh is not happy with Giorgio for some ass reason. There may have been a falling out there.

Hmm could it be because Bitine.ch is the cause of all this. Face it, whatever you may think of the pair Josh and his fledgling AMT has been badly burned by this as well by BMch. If The A1 product had been properly produced - in other words chips produced and characterized to verify design specs, tweaked a few times as needed BEFORE taking full payment pre-orders - then none of this would have happened.

As it stands, safe bet BMch is taking care of their own direct orders first followed by what BMch doles out to chip buyers and miner assemblers.

Josh has a lot more problems just from what BMch supplies. Cases and power supplies first come to mind, then the production and how he conducts business.

Josh also told me that he developed playerfunder.com for a client, charging him $5,000 to build and maintain the facebook page and a website that was never indexed. RedBull must be some really powerful stuff, that's all I gotta say about it.

Well the pressure is on to deliver those miners. Lotta people here willing to forgo the case and PSU which would help ALOT of that delivery load (#1493 here) I would be happy enough to just pick up my parts and put them together. I got 2 rack mount cases for those I was gonna modify if needed to put the hardware in. Nice to know its already ATX compatible so it saves me some headaches.

This would be a good time to start heaping out the orders on here first if anything. There are some with refunds that are deserved too. If you got some hidden wallets out there they will be found. After all the ledger is public.

I want to be on your side and see you guys succeed as a business. But you gotta look at how its playing out and start flexing a little and communicating with the customers instead of just detractors. Posting on your facebook or blog for starters would be FAR better than using this forum. We can discuss here until we turn blue. Plus anything useful seems to get drowned out within hours of being posted. It is an incredibly poor use of social media in terms of getting news out. That said the forums server their own purpose for customer engagement and feedback.  

There is a legal storm coming which has been alluded to repeatedly here (not a threat just observation on what people have been admitting). There are people who have been essentially spamming email and these forums for an answer to a refund. No attempt to contact them has been forthcoming. I have emailed requesting an ETA according to your instructions for various things including volunteering to come down and assist (which I am willing to do for the good of the community at large not just myself). Also you put forward the option of receiving the parts and assembling it ourselves. Obviously if we are doing that we definitely want something in return to compensate for that as well. An additional hashing board or even a 128Ghs miner just to get some extra power out. The MPP is a huge huge thing right now as people have lost alot of mining power because the difficulty has climbed a number of times because of the wait. Does not seem like there are plans to honor that MPP at this point. Which is really really bad.

These are just the realities of what we are seeing right now. I imagine you guys are keenly aware of that.

First of all, let me remind you that technobit (and more recently, several Chinese vendors) has/have been selling A1 based boards for quite some time.  Secondly, in AMT's latest post they claim they hired an engineering buro to design the shelves only 4 weeks ago. Thats after he already claimed to be shipping boatloads. I also fail to see how AMT's utter incompetence in getting a case made is in anyway Bitmine's fault.

Where do you read that AMT has problems getting chips?  And didnt they have like "4 suppliers" for the PCB's ? Bitmine is responsible for the stunts they are pulling with their customers, no doubt, but I see no evidence AMT was significantly impacted.

Valid point. They still have other things like the cages and PSU shortages. There are those of us willing to overlook that if it means getting our orders faster. Its obvious they aren't using the queue, so that this point its whoever they want to give miners too first.

Hopefully come Monday we start hearing a bit more about that and start getting our orders over the next "12 days" As I said...I will take the parts and put it together myself if I have to. Just so long as I am not missing the parts I need to make it function. And its not faulty.

If their claim is that they haven't been mining with the hardware then its easy to validate with the bitcoin transactions they have made. There are a few but one of those will give us answers if there are any to be had.

Now, I see why said that I even look like a troll. In the video linked above, that dude sure does look like a troll.  

Notice Josh stated that I he gave me a miner that I paid for. Of course the truth is that I was given that miner in lieu of the bounty, and Josh was adamant in making sure that the wrong message wasn't relayed to the community, hence suggesting that we should lie about how I got my hands on one, of which I immediately agreed to, as I did to all his wonderful suggestions to make sure that AMT comes out in a good light.

HashFast, which had been under threat of legal action over the delays since the beginning of this year, was founded just last year and promotes itself on its website as “an industry leader in bitcoin mining technology”.

Can you image any bitcoin miner supplier promoting themselves as, "Coin Mining on the Level"? Me neither, thus not even sure why I brought it up.

Note that Avalon is not doing pre-sales. The chips have been characterized and more importantly they are providing via github reference designs for various board form factors.
