Today, Nigeria will be hosting Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifiers. The Super Eagles victory against the Rwanda is still fresh and they will be building on that momentum to secure another win in Akwa Ibom. With home support and momentum on their side, the super eagles are expected to dominate and claim all three points.

Unfortunately for me, I couldn't watch the last game against Rwanda as the streaming platform i use didn't air the game. I just hope I can watch today's game. From what I have been hearing, it seems this selection was quite okay, even though there were some players that I wasn't expecting to see at all. And the most interesting thing is that, the manager didn't even play some of them in the last game, which to me, is almost a sign that he knows those who can give him good results and those who are just there as a result of referral or external selection.

Looking forward to today's game. My two main focus on the game is the manager's tactics, and his selection choice. I expect a win in this one though.

You would have been really entertained if the streaming had shown the match for you, actually if there would be match I would stream definitely not the super eagles match because this season I'm happy for them and I will not replace there match for any match, I want to be fully updated on the players, the coach and the possibilities we have. There are always disturbances on streaming matches especially video because if you are in a limited network area you will not get the full view of the match. the manager tactics will be the same as the previous one because this is another team.

If Victor Osimhen is not fit for the game, the coach should drop him. It should be essential for the new coach to build a team that can function with or without any particular player.

Don't you know that their are kind of players that your opponent will see in your team and they will be terrified. Victor Osimhen is a big name in African football and his hard work in the team cannot go unnoticed. Even if he's unfit at present when the coach is naming his squad, but they are confident that he will be fit before the match day, he should include him in the team.

He can be in the team, on the bench, but should not be forced to play, and the emphasis is on if he is not fit. An Osimhen who is not fit and cannot score goals is the same as an Osimhen on the bench.

Who's says Victor osimhen is not fit to score goals or have you forgotten who's Victor osimhen. Victor osimhen is goal machine,a well respected player in the world probably known for his habits of scoring goals. Currently Victor osimhen is the highest goals scorer in Turkish league and when he was still playing for Napoli,he won the award for highest goals scorer. I probably think the coach shouldn't drop him from the team because he is currently unfits to play rather the coach should respect him for his records and put his name among the squad even if he wouldn't be playing.

Alot is at stake for the Zimbabwean - their government has put a bounty pool on the game against Nigeria; I'm hearing $10k per player if they manages to beat Nigeria in Akwa Ibom this week. That's enough motivation for them.

We haven't won against Zimbabwe since 2019 hope we can change that this week and maybe move to the 2nd place if Benin Republic loses to South Africa.

This is good motivation for the players but despite the show of kindness and morale boost to the team they can only play to their capacity and will also lose when they are outplayed lol. I am counting on the Super Eagles to replicate the performance level they showed against Rwanda against Zimbabwe by beating them comfortably.

Libya is at it again, they've done same thing they did to the Nigerian and Benin Republic football teams to South Sudan, news have it that South Sudan national team were standed in a Libyan airport for 3 hours and their passports seized by Libyan officials and were later allowed to leave without  handing them back their passports, like why on earth would they seize the passports of a National team players that didn't come into their country illegally. Libyais gradually becoming a dead zone for other African countries and if they can do this to football players not minding if their are people playing across Europe in the team you could imagine what they could do to an ordinary man. The footballing authorities needs to look into this and Libyan team should be fined and banned temporarily or permanently from football if possible cause it's getting out of hand, who knows the next country that would fall victim to their menace, this is outrageous and needs to be put an end to.

This squad should be the best we have for now and I hope we will get the same result we got against Rwanda. But I don't like the fact that the coach featured all the best players at ones, Chukwueze would have come as a substitute with Iheanacho played first because Chekwueze seems to be in better form than him. Although he might bring him later on to replace Alex Iwobi, which is not also a bad decision. I know the Super Eagles will enjoy massive support today so they will likely get the three points complete.

And the same experience I don't know if the African government just acts differently is it that there is no proper arrangement made for the coming of these guys or what because why on earth will they come and the next thing will be that, they have been treated this way, imagine they even came with their passport i even heard their passport has been sized for reasons i don't know but when we want to state the fact i don't think anyone deserves exactly what these guys are going through the stress you undergo then you are now treated this way I think FIFA needs to place sanctions or even fine on countries that threats player like this.

I am saying exactly what I am saying: The authorities need to look into cases like this. I am sure in Europe, they would never treat their guests this way. We need to improve. We can actually do better than this, and not just by treating people anyhow.

You can see that the financial motivation is working very well for the Zimbabweans, they have been able to keep out goals, the defensive line has kept the offside trap well, and the midfielders have delivered through passes that have caused the Nigerian defense some panic.

Our players are playing under pressure, which I understand, but it is not helping their game as they are making too many mistakes and wrong choices. Chukwueze needs to calm down and stop running line someone who is on cr*ck without control.

It is typical in African competitions to see few goals especially in the first half. Wait for the players to get tired at the end of the second half to see them scoring few goals.
Indeed, all games ended the first half without scoring any goal except Uganda scoring one against Guinea and Cape Verde scoring a goal versus Angola.
Nigeria failed to score and the shot was outside the bar. It is still early and there is a whole half for them to win this match.

 Nigeria are pushing quite alright but it's as if they've not really understood how important the three points is else they would have converted their so many chances. Zimbabwe are doing fairly better than Rwanda but they too are trying to be too careful to avoid mistakes but it's obvious that if the Super eagles just score a goal, all their well put together defense will be broken.
 I said if before that these smaller teams aren't scared of Nigeria again because I see no reason why they should be struggling against teams like Zimbabwe when they should have put the matter to bed. At this rate if they see a goal, they will be so happy and defend it till the end, I'm sure. Nigeria has been very offensive with attacks in the first half missing lot of goals scoring chances firing in shots that don't actually trouble the Zimbabwean goalie. The problem with Nigeria in this match isn't about possession of the ball but inefficiency in getting the ball in the back of the net of Zimbabwe. The $10k promised to be given to these Zimbabweans bybits government is causing terro for Nigeria in this match as they have been very defensive against Nigeria making things difficult for the Super Eagles in the past 65 minutes minutes played. However South Africa is wining Benin, so they are the first in the group to be certain of qualifying, they have 11 point.

Naturally if everything goes well they should be like 4 goals up with the kind of quality they have in the field but it seems things are not going so well for the Super Eagles and if care is not taken they might still fail to qualify for the World Cup again. After the coach took out Chukwueze, the next player he would have taken off should have been Ekong because he looked fatigued or not in the game at all. Osayi was overlapping into the attack and leaving just three men, mostly behind, which the Zimbabweans were looking to capitalize on, and they got their chance at the ending of the game, where our defenders felt the game was won and went into sleeping mode. Ekong was beaten with just one touch, and Nwabali could not keep it out.

Of course they have a better playing pattern than Rwanda, it's 90+ and they've just equalized the Super Eagles making it 1-1, thereby jeopardizing the qualification of the super Eagles to the world cup. It will be a long ride for the super Eagles as this game was supposed to be a crucial game for them that they are not supposed to by any means draw or lose, unfortunately their qualification dream for the World Cup is under serious threat. This was a home game where everybody was expecting a win, since they had already started on good footing by winning Rwanda 2-0 when they played as a visiting team, it's really an unfortunate situation for the super Eagles.

The last time these two sides met was in 2019, and a lot has changed for both teams. Nigeria has more quality and squad depth than Zimbabwe, but we must also remember history before wagering.  A 0:2 handicap for Zimbabwe could be a decent value, as I don't expect many goals today. Nigeria are favorite and could snap away a lone goal win. I like your ticket.

Thanks! It didn't win, Nigeria just couldn't hold on for a few more minutes so you proved right about history. But yeah, it's not the proudest ticket I'll ever have this season but like I said, struggling to find value. Old me looks at Zimbabwe ML but new me also knows at least half the Nigerian squad and I fancy them going far (for once, I also feel like Egypt will finally make it a little better than usual, for no other reason than Salah probably his last port of call for the WC).
