Guys could use some help

6x280x Pentium Haswell 4GB RAM = 1930h/s
5x280x Pentium Haswell 2GB RAM = 2200h/s

the 6x280x rig is slower, is the CPU the problem? is there any -ss option for the miner? anyone with 6xgpus can help?

thank you

Ok, Did some thorough comparisons on my MSI 280x's at different core speeds and 3.0 vs 3.1.

R9 280x @ 70% fans on Miner 3.0

430Khash @ 950Mhz/887Mv/47c/ = 101W
460Khash @ 1040Mhz/956Mv/50c/ = 113W
466Khash @ 1080Mhz 988Mv/51c/ = 123W

R9 280x @ 70% fans on Miner 3.1

433Khash @ 950Mhz/887Mv/46c/ = 90W
457Khash @ 1040Mhz/956Mv/49c/ = 108W
463Khash @ 1080Mhz 988Mv/50c/ = 114W

Well, I think -1% of mining speed worth -10% of power. If you don't like it - use v3.0.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

I just cant make my sapphires dual x 280x to work like it should.
4x280x is hashing at 1450hs.
Tryed to run just one and result is 360-365hs.
Win 7, 8gb, drivers r 13.12, virtual mem set to 16gb.
Interesting thing is that i have same results on 1100mhz and on 950mhz gpu core clock.
How can ppl run Asus on 450+ hs?

"GpuMiner k1a failed -52"

GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT  100 set. Virtual memory set.
v2.2 was ok. What could cause this issue?

Make sure that you use ALL files from new version. Not just replace old EXE by new, but also don't forget about "data.bin" file.

I am also having trouble with my 280x. It runs in the 360 h/s range like the poster said before me.

Here are my specs

16gb ram
i7 4770k
msi 280x

For whatever reason I cannot get this to hash at 450 yet. If anyone solves this please let me know. I am still working on it myself and if i come up with anything I will share my findings.

Hey just to give an update:

Tried 13.10 that MSI recommends on their website. No luck

Also tried 14.4 recommended from amd and no luck.

I wonder if its on our end or the programs end?

If anyone who has a 280x working well know of any tricks to try?

Yes I am using 100 percent as suggested in readme. I will try variation of that now starting with 85 percent. Thank you for the idea. Smiley

I read here 80 is best for some people... I find my miner too unstable at 100... Does 100 consume more power than 85 or does it not make any difference?

What does GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT actually do?
