1643  Other / Meta / Re: Posting guidelines for [WTS] Physical Goods - Marketplace on: June 08, 2019, 02:47:54 PM
Giving this a bump with the addition I added to the OP under the title for [Template] for Brokers or Market type sellers - Not a sale thread . This format allows the sellers to create a catalog of sorts without it being spammy.
1644  Economy / Reputation / Re: Steamtyme - An attack helicopter clearing the air or a "Reputation Thread" on: June 08, 2019, 02:37:01 PM
Just updated my OP with some of the service offerings/projects that I have been working on. I'm going to start linking any guides or reviews I do here as well.
1645  Other / Meta / Re: Standard forum sales rules/etiquette on: June 08, 2019, 02:11:02 PM
I agree, there are a few boards that would benefit from a review of what is pinned and what's lacking. The forum keeps growing and people are changing how they use areas, or expected behaviors within them. Either way until then, I just try to promote/spread things I find useful.
1646  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Demo M20 v1 is on order due May 20th on: June 08, 2019, 01:05:42 PM
I know the feeling, i didn't get tracking information but was told I'd have it by Tuesday. We'll see, they said it was an issue with Chinese Customs but didn't elaborate any further.
1647  Economy / Goods / Re: [Template] for Brokers or Market type sellers - Not a sale thread on: June 08, 2019, 02:34:20 AM
I'm glad you find it promising, if it helps smooth out using the marketplace for people i see it as a win. This suggestion was made with this forum and it's current goods sections. It could be applied to a special sub board or other forums if someone wanted.

This crosslinking can be done fairly easily in the forum itself. What I did took a bit longer because I used one post to simulate 13.  Linking to posts takes a few seconds once toy get going. A thread like the one you currently have could be done into this in a few hours I imagine. Then it's just a matter if adding and removing as time goes on.
1648  Other / Meta / Re: Standard forum sales rules/etiquette on: June 08, 2019, 01:53:29 AM
So I finally got around to putting together a template for a Broker style thread. [Template] for Brokers or Market type sellers - Not a sale thread
It looks a little confusing at first but instead of actually making a bunch of posts I separated them with a double "horizontal rule" and just linked within the OP. I think it gets the general idea across.
1649  Economy / Goods / [Template] for Brokers or Market type sellers - Not a sale thread on: June 07, 2019, 10:29:43 PM
Catchy Edgy Sales Name goes here
Note the Double Horizontal Rule will represent a new post for this.

This thread is just being created as an example of how people with a wide range of products can use the forum without it getting spammy. The consideration is that I don't want it to have a negative impact on their ability to market here; especially when the product is suited to the space. I mostly had this in mind with hardware brokers but it could be applied to many different sales offerings. This would be their "Sales Landing Page", I would personally crosslink it to a separate Service thread - and make note that questions and answers as well as discussion can happen there. This thread I would make a self moderated and Locked topic, as it should serve as a catalogue of all offerings and not necessarily the place for discussion. Note: I would not use those features on the Service thread as you want to remain open and transparent, just my opinion.

The OP has essentially a table of contents linking to as many sub categories for listings you want to create. The sub categories are the first posts in the thread, so reserve as many as you think you may need, and probably a few extras. These sub categories will link to each of your follow up [WTS] or [WTB] offerings. This makes sales threads no more than 2 clicks away from the product they are looking for.

These paragraphs would be a good place to explain how to contact you about particular offerings. For brokers it would proably be a good idea to explain how the sales process works from this point forward. Any information you find relevant to the potential customer. Then starts the labor intensive part of grouping your offerings. I'm only creating a small sample to give an overall ideal of usability. If you found you OP growing to large and the lists getting long you could put them in columns or create anchors, and link to each topic from the top of the OP.

    Asic miners
    GPU's
    Power Supplies
    Full Lots
Only available as a package offer. Placing them here deters people from trying to purchase part of the lot. I won't bother making an example here but it would be the same as the previous categories if you have multiple listings that fall into this.

S9 offerings post: We'll pretend these are separate here you would link to all your offerings that have S9's available. You can group these off into the variations like "i" and "j" or overall hashrate. This can be done in their own lists for ease of use. Personally I would use the description of quantity available price and any other details you want and Hyperlink that to the offerings post.

    1650  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: SELLING ANTMINER S9 With PSU @ 180$ per unit [ 2100+ UNITS ] on: June 07, 2019, 07:08:54 PM
So you have people interested that meet your MOQ, you have a reputable escrow you've said you'll use escrow, so far so good. You still have to show people you have the gear, can you post photos, with a handwritten note containing your forum user name and the date. This will instill confidence in buyers to proceed; still using escrow that is. short of that or a reputable forum member arriving at your site and verifying, your sales will likely go nowhere.
1651  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: USB Miners at crazy prices. Why? on: June 07, 2019, 06:27:35 PM
It's similar to when I started in 2017. It was crazy confusing wrapping my head around the differences at the time between TH, GH, MH . I had a tab on reference when I was trying to shop around for some entry level units. I did settle on some decently priced s5's in the end, lol. I'd say a lot of it may be people who overpayed in the past trying to pass it along top the next sucker, unfortunately.

Anyone passing them off as anything more than a novelty, or lottery is definitely going to rip someone off.
1652  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (WTB)/(WTS) Bitcoins in QUÉBEC, CANADA on: June 07, 2019, 06:20:33 PM
Hey there, I started this topic awhile ago to help Canadians find each other easily and to create a trade network. Feel free to check it out, it also has a few of the easier companies to deal with in Canada listed. I will likely have some to sell within the next week or so, and I'll post it there first. There is also one listed offer from a forum member that is listed in the OP.

[CBC] Canadian Bitcoin Conversions - or whatever coin really
1653  Other / Meta / Re: [UNBAN APPEAL] MintDice on: June 07, 2019, 05:26:30 PM
Is the company of MintDice allowed to have someone bid on BitcoinTalk ads for the weekly auction that took no part in the usage of the MintDice banned account?
I don't see any reason not after re-reading the OP. The nice thing is if you are not allowed theymos will respond to the Bid explaining why it's been rejected. That's what I've seen on previous rounds.

    Quote
Is an individual that has never been banned from or related to the usage ban of any of these accounts allowed to create their own account to start a MintDice thread in the gambling section?
Seeing as Bans apply to the person, not the account someone not associated with those accounts could create a new account mintdiceDOH (homer accent) let's say, to start a service thread and act as community representative. I could be wrong, it would be subject to anyone claiming it is ban evasion and be reviewed by Mods.

On the whole your situation is weird. I get trying to fit a business model into the forum like this can be confusing. This is where the rules need to be applied with consideration given to all the factors, and not just the "good for a forum as a whole". I would say the fact your account hasn't been locked is a positive sign for it probably not being banned, along side MintDice. whatever direction this goes moving forward you should probably have any "reps" register their own variation of a "MintDice" account ex. "MintDiceSally", and just label them as legit in the OP.

I also likely would have gone a different route for the "trust". Leaving feedback that links your account to that one is good enough. I would go with a Neutral and say explain how you are associated, it looks better than implanting your reputation directly onto the account. Same goes for possible "Rep" accounts - you could leave them feedback as you trust them to represent you and your business.
1654  Other / Meta / Re: Why was I banned ? How to recover? on: June 07, 2019, 04:36:32 PM
You can start from the beginning using the current account (mir22)

No they can't that would be ban evasion, as noted in rule 25 of the link you posted. Bans are not account specific they are tied to the person who was banned and all their accounts... once discovered and reported. I can't believe how many people still believe users can/should create another account and carry on.

    25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
    1655  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Antminer z11 on: June 07, 2019, 04:21:24 PM
That makes sense. Seems to be a common occurrence given their feedback from WhyFhy. 24 hours seems good enough considering they were online yesterday, and are aware they are in the middle of a deal. I wonder if they'll try and sell it again after, with some excuse for the lack of communication.
    1656  Other / Meta / Re: >:( Why banned me ?? Reason ?? on: June 07, 2019, 04:09:05 PM
You quoted your answer. It's the bold part. No you cannot, under this account or any other. For you this forum is a read only platform now, you are not welcome to post or PM people.
    1657  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Demo M20 v1 is on order due May 20th on: June 07, 2019, 04:05:07 PM
Yeah I was following them a bit on telegram and noticed they were taking a holiday for Friday, so I had already given up on this week. The last thing I received was an email asking to confirm information for customs, and that if I didn't respond within 48 hours they would use what they had on file. This was different from all other orders I had placed with them, so it made me wonder if they were shipping them differently, maybe direct from manufacturer.
Still I had no other choices really at the time, with the potential 240V hardcaps I've seen in the specs of other miners. Upside is I did get my spare parts to play with the M10 this weekend.

The spots are yours. Thanks for starting off the inaugural raffle here, and for the vote of confidence. Let's see if we can keep up this momentum and get this filled up today.
    1659  Other / Archival / [Raffle] .1 BTC prize - - CANCELED on: June 07, 2019, 03:22:01 PM
Payment Addresses to be provided once full

I'm looking to make this a fairly regular thing hosting a few raffles a week if the interest is there. So for the first ever, I decided to go with a larger prize of .1 BTC. These will be standard raffles no fuss no muss, 16 spots available, take as many spots as you'd like. I will then select a winning block after the Raffle is full.

    Details
    • Prize - Winner will receive .1 BTC *** - Transaction fee will be paid by me.
    • Cost per spot - .0068 BTC. This buys 1 spot in this Raffle
    • Payment - I will provide each participant an address to send their funds to once all spots are filled. This saves on TX fees, and coordinating refunds if the Raffle doesn't fill up.
    • Escrow - If by the end of the raffle the consensus is that participants would like an escrow to hold either the Prize(currently held by me) or Tickets, that can be arranged. I reserve the right to choose the escrow from this forum. Darkstar_, OgNasty, or minerjones are my preferred choices. I have not yet approached either of them about this, if they are unavailable another suitable forum escrow would be chosen. *** In this case the Escrow fee will be split between winner and myself.

    How it works
    • Pick your spot - Confirm it is available by reviewing the list below and previous comments. Whoever requests the spot first will receive it, subsequent posters will be given the option to select an open spot if any are remaining after going through valid claims. If you edit a post please strikethrough the original comment for clarity.
    • When all spots are taken I will provide a payment address - I will sign a message here when I do so.
    • I will select a future block that will be for determining the winner using the last character of the hash of that block.
** By selecting a spot you are committing to pay for the selected spot(s) chosen. This commitment will be for 48 hours from the time posted, in case the raffle doesn't generate interest.

1660  Other / Meta / Re: is there any way to find my password of my bitcointalk account ...?? on: June 07, 2019, 01:09:50 PM
You have been shown how to go about resetting the password. You need to put in the effort and begin the process, no one is just going to give you a password or reset it based on this thread. So continuing to simply request it here will do nothing.
As @iasenko suggested you try that one and this thread also have a useful information to recover your password https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0
That link now asks you to see here where all your steps are laid out for you.
