1701  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: March 27, 2023, 10:39:03 AM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNwkMlc5RLw
1702  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 27, 2023, 09:35:30 AM
No one is stopping anyone from learning how to trade. The issue however is opening an account to an exchange since I assume they are not allowing minors to do that. But secretly, anyone that is not a minor can open a trading account to be utilized by the minor.

But first things first, trading is not a walk in the park. To test the ability of your kid, why not create a demo account and let him use it and see if he is indeed willing to undergo the vast lessons to be learned in the world of trading. Challenge him to profit using a demo account. And if he is indeed profitable then you can provide him a real account but just start with small amounts like a hundred dollars.

Hi @saruc. If you're still hiring more mods I am interested. I will be sending a DM.
1704  Other / Off-topic / Re: A word of motivation on: March 24, 2023, 12:59:23 PM
Good job mate! Your family must be very proud of you. We knew that bitcoin is not yet at its full potential if we are looking at the short-term frame but you were firm to take profits this time in order to prioritize your family. Besides, it is an investment as well so you're just diversifying your investments here.

Maybe I needed the same motivation as yours here. One of my comfort rooms had issues but I am hesitant to spend $1,000 because I thought that the amount can grow faster if I invest it in crypto just like what I did to my monthly savings. Cheesy
1705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 24, 2023, 12:41:05 PM
I think it is a wise decision for the Philadelphia 76ers to not force Embiid and Harden to travel against the Warriors. The Warriors are in a tight race in the western conference so they are expected to show their best on their home court and there is no need for the 76ers to risk its minor injured superstars in a possible hot game later. If there is a chance to make Harden and Embiid 100 healthy with a little rest then they might do it as they are already looking forward to the coming playoffs. Apart from that, the 76ers will have no rest day as well since after their travel to San Francisco, they are headed next to Phoenix which maybe be easier for them to focus.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | POSTPONED on: March 24, 2023, 12:00:03 PM

Alright, some news stated that Naoya Inoue suffers a "hand injury" during sparring.

I'm curious about what happened though, does it happen while Inoue is in a sparring session or while doing his usual punching bag routine? Maybe too much pumped even at practice? Or if it's on sparring, maybe Inoue really showed seriousness even for that.

Here we go again with a long period of speculation because of the postponement. Almost just 2 months left waiting for this clash and we end up hanging on to our excitement because of the unfortunate thing that happened on Inoue. If there's no fresh news or progress for about weeks, I'll consider locking this thread.

As much as I am saddened by the postponement of this big fight, I do understand the need for it. Rather than hide the injury like Pacman did in the Mayweather fight and Lomachenko in the Lopez fight, I like that Inoue and his team were straightforward with the public and move this fight to another schedule. There is no need to be extra brave in spite of suffering injuries because that deprived the public of seeing them fight healthy and leaves no excuses behind. Not saying Pacman and Loma made excuses for their defeats but upon knowing what really happened already we knew that their fights would've been different if they were 100% healthy.

Maybe there is no need to lock this thread unless Fulton rejects the idea of moving this fight to a new date.
1707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 24, 2023, 11:40:41 AM
And no, I may not be a fan of Canelo but I don't think that he's avoiding Benavidez. The kid is not eligible to fight him this much sooner because David doesn't have any interim belts and as Canelo said before, he should prove himself first that he truly deserves a chance to fight Canelo. Now if David can defeat Caleb with a bang, that is surely a ticket for David to fight Canelo.

Benavidez is the no. 1 in The Ring super middleweight champion ranking while John Rider as you stated is the WBO interim champion.  I disagree that Benavidez is not eligible to fight Canelo, if The Ring implements a mandatory title defense then probably Benavidez is the most legit to fight Alvarez.  Same way on John Rider being the WBO interim super middleweight champion.  Whether David Benavidez defeats Caleb with a bang or not, Benavidez is top in line to challenge Alvarez for The Ring Super middleweight championship fight.  But of course, if Benavidez losses against Caleb then,  Benavidez will be replaced by Caleb and the chance of Benavidez to fight Alvarez will be lessened.

In addition the WBC interim Super Middleweight Champion is Benavidez while The WBC World super middleweight Champion is Alvarez, if we apply your reason why John Rider has the right to fight, Alvarez i think that is the same with Benavidez for the WBC Super Middleweight world title belt.

Compared to John Ryder, David Benavidez is the better fighter, more popular, and more proven in the division. But nowadays politics played a big role in boxing. The huge amount of money involved became an important part of fighters, networks, and promoters' decisions. I am not saying Canelo is scared of Benavidez because he might deserve an easy fight after his injury. John Ryder may look easy to Canelo compared to the undefeated and dangerous Benavidez. Nonetheless, I have nothing in this fight and John Ryder might have earned his right to fight for a title after his huge upsets over Daniel Jacobs and Zach Parker. But we cannot question that David Benavidez deserves his shot at a championship belt rather than Ryder.

Styles make fights but Ryder lost already to a lot of fighters and some of them were not even championship-caliber type while Benavidez remained unbeaten and lost the WBC belt before because he was stripped.
1708  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: March 24, 2023, 08:53:03 AM

Of course, there may well be some other signature campaigns that are going to pay sufficiently high amounts (maybe more than $100 per week?), but still seems a bit too much to expect to be able base living standard plans on income from signature campaigns, even if you might be able to get something like $300 per week from a signature campaign, it seems to me that $100 per week is likely more realistic.. just to be conservative in making estimates that do not cause you to be overly reliant on keeping such a higher level of cashflow and/or being able to bounce from one signature campaign to another, in the event that the signature campaign that you are in gets shut down or discontinued.
$400 per month will be enough for a bachelor to live a comfortable life in some countries. It will be enough because he can afford to live in a shared apartment and his expenses on other needs will be very low. But a married man will not be able to feed himself and his family with that monthly income. Children's medical bills, school fees, feeding, and accommodation will cost more than their income.

Practically campaigns might not be the best kind of job to rely on because they can stop without notice. But some of them have lasted for more than one commendable year. Apart from government jobs, other employers in my country can sack workers at will. They can decide to terminate the contract of workers without notice. There are cases where in one year a worker has changed jobs three times. Although, campaign should be a side job, but it might be better than some jobs both in the stability of tenure and pay.

There are only a few remaining signature campaigns that pay $100 per week and some of them are new campaigns that may not last that long. But yes, it is a good amount of money as a side job. But for someone that is only doing a signature campaign as its main source of income, there should be a lot of free time remaining in a day which is enough for someone to do other side jobs or at least develop something that will become an earning potential.

In my country the Philippines, I noticed that there are some foreigners that started as vloggers, especially on Youtube. I noticed this because I usually turned on my television every morning and most of the time it's on Youtube. I got bored watching about agriculture and crypto so I switched to some good vibes videos and there I found these foreigners that are living in my country traveling from place to place and having fun while earning at the same time.
1709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arbitrum Hype on: March 24, 2023, 08:28:44 AM
To those that were able to sell their ARB at $10 something, you guys were legends. Some were able to cash out as high as 6 digits which is already very big for an airdrop. Some were able to sell it at $1 sharp since some were already buying and selling prior to the listing at the exchanges, those takers were already around 40% gain.

I am planning to buy as well but I need to wait and see if there's still a chance for the price to get squeezed. Maybe if the price drops to $0.80 and I will start accumulating.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dream of buying a bike with Bitcoin came true thanks to Bitcoin and my parents on: March 23, 2023, 04:05:48 PM
Congratulations mate. I wish you more success in the future.

This is inspiring because good things happen little by little until it grows and becomes a bigger success. I remember 6 years ago when a kid requested me to cash out his hard-earned money from crypto so he can buy a mobile phone. It was around $200 and it was a profit he made due to the bullish crypto market. That kid risked his small savings for bitcoin and other coins upon hearing about how the crypto market is making waves of upward movements. That kid later went on to purchase his own computer and then later an expensive phone worth around $2,000. Bitcoin might not go x20 in the next bull run but its value will increase further in the long run.
1711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you feel when....... on: March 23, 2023, 03:44:15 PM
There's only a handful of my real-life friends that are into crypto and they are not into meme coins. But I do have a lot of online friends over the years that are into crypto. Most of them are not into meme coins too. Personally, I have no regrets for not investing in meme coins whenever some of them go x100 because I know the slim chances and the risk. I am not judgemental to people that are investing in any kind of coins including meme coins and I would feel happy if someone I knew made x100 from a meme coin. A lot of my online friends that are into crypto are professionals and they know what they are doing including the risks when investing in meme coins.
1712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ponzi Schemes - People are confused. on: March 23, 2023, 03:21:52 PM
Misconceptions everywhere, misinformation is one the things that have discouraged many out there from investing in bitcoin, and I must commend OP for reaching out to them to correct their erroneous assumptions, it is actually very annoying when misinformation like this come from people the society look up to to pass accurate information to them, this goes a long way to prove that indeed, no man is an island of knowledge, no matter how educated that person is, there must be something somewhere he or she doesn't know, or have the wrong information about.

I just realized that those relatives of mine that told me a few years ago that I was lucky to have an online business might think bitcoin is like a Ponzi scheme that gives rewards to its investors regularly. They knew that I am into crypto trading, particularly on bitcoin. It was annoying because I tried to explain to them several times that I don't have a business and trading is like 50/50 and does not guarantee profit like the traditional business scheme. Yet after a few weeks when I met them again, they will tell me that I have an online business.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: March 23, 2023, 02:13:50 PM
Another good fight, but it's really risky for Lopez to take this challenge, he's like beat the best boxer in light welterweight. However he reminds me when he take a challenge to fight with Lomachenko, where at that time Lomachenko is the best boxer in lightweight. The difference is Lopez was beat every boxers easily before fight with Lomachenko, this time he was struggling when he fought Sandor Martin, so I don't really expect Lopez will win this fight.

Remember Jack Catterall was give a good fight with Taylor, but the judges tend to favor on Taylor. I think Lopez must KO Taylor if he want to win, if it goes to distance Taylor should be the winner.

I am surprised Bob Arum did this fight as well. I am not sure who is the bigger draw since both are popular although I think Lopez is slightly the bigger draw especially if we are talking about the US market. This is a big risk to Lopez but this might be the only way for him to beat Taylor who's been inactive and at the same time showed a poor performance against Catterall on his last outing. Catterall did well and might deserve that win but the best of Taylor was supposed to just steamroll him that night.

The fight will be in the US so if the rounds are close, the judges might favor Lopez. Devin Haney should he win over Loma might be next if Lopez wins. Taylor might seriously move up in weight after this win or lose.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 23, 2023, 12:19:57 PM
So I started this thread last year and it's nearly 5 months already and there is no deal yet between Spence and Thurman? That leads to the assumption as to how hard it is to reach an agreement with Spence. First, he killed the potential undisputed fight with Crawford who's been waiting for nearly a year for nothing. Now the WBC is giving Spence the favor to fight a very popular but out of his prime opponent which includes a crazy VIP treatment of making the fight at 154. Errol Spence is getting annoying.

Now the WBO is mandating Crawford to face Rocha. I just hope the WBA and IBF will do the same since Spence seems not serious about the WBC mandatory on Thurman. I really hope Spence gets ktfo so badly in his next fight, boxing is better without him.
1715  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade up capital: $200 on: March 22, 2023, 09:25:53 AM
The moment you ask if $200 is enough to trade means you have no idea about trading. That is bad mate and you took the money by stealing it from your wife. Do you have no work in order to finance your own trading plan? You don't have to steal mate since you are a newbie and trading is only for those that are fully equipped with knowledge and skills. You should return that money to your wife and promise not to do it again. That is so cowardly even if you confessed later but your mother-in-law is already doubting about you. Take your time to study trading, and enhance your skills. Open a demo account and practice what you learned and see if you are ready.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 22, 2023, 09:05:55 AM
It's sad to see the news that Inoue is injured. No estimated months means the injury is probably serious and training camp needs to stop. Unlucky as well for Fulton as the guy is grinding seriously to defend his belts. Maybe Fulton can take an easy tune-up to make his training camp worth it.

The original date would've been perfect to set up an undisputed match between the winners of Fulton-Inoue and Akhmadaliev-Tapales. This division is yet to get unified since the 4-belt era so hopefully, it will happen later this year or early next year. I am hoping for Marlon Tapales to score a big upset against Akhmadaliev.
1717  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satellite Betting (Low Delay) on: March 22, 2023, 08:06:02 AM
I am a long-time bettor and used a lot of betting sites in the last decade but I don't think this will work. You might find some weird local betting companies that have delayed reactions within their systems but it is pretty sure that they knew it too. So chances are they will review its live bettors right after the match which means withdrawals will be pending for a few minutes as well to those who won in that particular match. The account will face the risk of closure and who knows funds including your capital will be frozen too.

I don't know some people like to cheat. OP is probably ready to scam anybody as well when given the chance.
1718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best way to invest in BITCOIN on: March 22, 2023, 07:44:09 AM
First, you can invest any amount of money, there is no fixed amount. But before investing you must have enough understanding about investment and then invest. If you want to make money by investing, you must be patient. With 100 dollars you are thinking of starting investment I think investing with 100 dollars in the first case is a good start. If you start investing with $100 you will gradually gain enough knowledge about investing and you can increase your investment amount if you want as you become experienced.  But remember one thing if you invest, you will not always get profit, if you invest many times, you may face loss, at that time you need to be very patient. If you can be patient at that time, then you will see success.

I agree. $100 is a good start. $1 daily in crypto investing does not make any sense due to the fees needed. OP can keep his $1 daily savings and invest it into bitcoin once it reaches $100. There is no need to hurry anyways because as a newbie, OP needs to learn and understand first the basics fundamentals of bitcoin. And who knows, from day-to-day learning, OP might get interested in studying technical analysis of bitcoin and starts trading because the market is expected into a major bull run sometime next year which is the year of bitcoin's halving.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could there be any importance and need for some kind of mild regulations? on: March 22, 2023, 07:24:50 AM
I agree with you OP. I already mentioned many times that I can do a KYC without much of an issue although I am doing as much as possible some sort of privacy like using platforms that are not asking for KYC for all of its users. I don't usually trust people especially those at the top. We already know throughout history that those at the top aren't really honest with their ordinary citizens. People nowadays are craving more privacy and decentralization due to the many failures of those on top that are in control. They aren't serving the good of everyone anyways but rather they are serving themselves and the people within their circles.
1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? on: March 22, 2023, 07:03:19 AM
Altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin which is why many people have doubts about investing. But for me, I will continue to buy my preferred altcoins that have long-term potential. I also believe that bitcoin's growth won't be that much high compared to the previous years due to its growing capitalization unless there is a worldwide adoption or most parts of the world will consider it as legal tender. Some altcoins on the other hand have the potential to pump x10 to even x100 in the next few years.
