2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 29, 2022, 07:48:21 PM
It would be really shameful if Arsenal somehow dropped out of top 4 but it is also not impossible neither. They had a great season so far and if they somehow start to suck and start losing a lot of games then they could very well go out of top 4.

This isn't unique, we have seen teams that lead the league after 10-15 weeks that end up with lower points and this could be similar for Arsenal as well, even if they end up losing like 50% of their games that means out of top 4 for sure, and I am not even talking about for rest of the season, if they lose 5 out of 10, they will be out of top 4 for sure. That is why it is quite important to be good but more important to be consistent.
2022  Economy / Economics / Re: American EVs reduced gasoline consumption by just 0.54% in 2021 on: November 29, 2022, 06:03:34 PM
I guess it is clear that we need even more, but you can't just destroy all the other car factories and turn them into EV over a day, we have reached this level in 10 years, and in another 10 years it will exponentially grow, and in another 10 years maybe it will be the biggest one.

I am not expecting it to be 51%+ in 5-10 years, but in 20-25 years that is a reality. It was an important step, because world is on fire right now and climate change is causing all kinds of trouble, which means every bit helps and even at %0.54 that is a huge help with 22 TWh, and we should keep that growing as much as possible and that will be great for all of us.
2023  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla stock analysts debate future equity values on rate hikes on: November 29, 2022, 04:42:10 PM
I guess that the market consensus is aware of the interest rates, and aware of what's going on, and even aware of the twitter deal he is focusing on instead of tesla, but that doesn't mean that this will keep growing for a long time. We should realize that Tesla is a great company with a bright future, they already established a great deal with many car types and even now a semi on the testing road.

So that means we should not be really focusing too much towards what it is currently, but what it could be and when you do that 290 dollars is not impossible. I still think it is a bit overrated, but there is a logical argument on why it is overrated so I am fine with that.
2024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10K BTC Linked to Mt.Gox Moved! on: November 28, 2022, 09:18:32 PM
Honestly these type of news always happen and talked about, and yet I have never seen anything bad come out of it. Nobody really cares, what the market cares about is superficial idiotic things, not the real movements and that's a bit sad. 10K bitcoins moved and nobody cares about it, watch how Elon could ruin or increase the market tomorrow if he decided to do it. That is a sad reality but he can, with just a single tweet for example.

This is a proof that people care about what they can't control, and do not care about the tangible real things that they can see. I would personally be scared more of this than a tweet, but I am no longer like that, because of the market.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 28, 2022, 08:45:43 PM
It makes sense to send away Binotto but that's not going to be enough. Not all mistakes were made by him, considering they had race engineers and pit stop staff and strategy people and so forth, they need a whole change.

Pit could wait, that is not a rush, but the race engineer and strategy people need to change asap, Binotto is a good start but they need at least 1 or 2 good people on strategy that can make good calls otherwise they are going to end up with more and more unexpected losses. This year Charles could have finished with nearly 100 more points if they were smarter about when to pit and what to pick for tires, that's it, simple stuff for f1 level of strategy people.
2026  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Agriculture Investment - Public School Grows $50k in Wheat on: November 28, 2022, 08:12:22 PM
I cannot say that I buy the story. The land was given, the machinery was given, and probably the initial capital to buy the wheat seeds and even watering it must have been covered and on top of that, do we really believe kids ranging between kindergarden to year 6 ended up driving those tractors? Of course not.

So, what we have is bunch of kids doing maybe just a bit of manual labour, like carrying some hay or something here and there, but 90%+ of the job was done by others and the capital required was paid by others, so the kids made 50k in profit thanks to that. If it was a real farmer, all that extra 50k would have gone to machinery and land and seeds etc etc.
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: November 28, 2022, 04:34:51 PM
People do not know how to have fun and celebrate, they may end up burning up places and all very quickly when they are in a group. This has actually been tested by a psychologist before, in a group environment, people do not really treat each other badly at first, nobody really attacks anyone that quickly, but after a while if someone does something, they test it out, they test out what they can get away with, and they keep doing more and more and more until they face a wall.

This means if you are in a group setting and eventually someone kills another person and NOTHING happens, there could be more to follow. It's a shame, and I hope Belgium would deport all the Moroccans that were part of the "celebration" that burned down places.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 27, 2022, 09:20:04 PM
Jazz lost again, that makes it 4 in a row, and before that they had a 3 or 4 in a row again if I am not wrong. They started the season with everyone thinking they will be tanking, but then lead the west for a short period of time but we are seeing the real results now, they are getting closer to that 50% range and I am guessing by the end of the season they will be below it.

This brings a good chance for all of us, while bookies still think that they have done well so far and give them fair odds, you can wager against them because they may end up losing against most teams, and that means we could make a good profit from teams who are seen as underdogs against Jazz but I believe all teams have a good chance to beat them.
2029  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX Drama and Global Empact on: November 26, 2022, 03:32:22 AM
I am not sure if FTX drama was the biggest but it was certainly a deadlier one in a way how it is mattered. I feel like we are going to end up with something that is getting a bit crazier and that means we shouldn't be really caring about the lowest points of it.

Just look at the bright side of it. That money is somewhere, even though it was "lost" by ftx, it is still somewhere and that means it is still in circulation so nothing about bitcoin itself happened, just ftx crashed, which means that we could buy the unharmed bitcoin at a cheaper price and could make more money with it. Yes, it is not going to be tomorrow, but it will go up and we could be benefiting from the crash this way if we want to.
2030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop the panic, I doubt we will see 14k or less Bitcoin on: November 26, 2022, 03:16:20 AM
Too many people are working towards making the lower prices happen, between the sellers, the panic filled people, the SBF type of bad news makers, and all the twitter FUD spreaders, and the short futures buyers, they are all trying to make the lower prices possible.

As I said before, the moment it was possible to make money with shorting, the moment people realized lower price of bitcoin could still mean profit, the healthy growth of bitcoin was damaged. It still goes up in the long run, but on the short term there are a lot of people who try to take advantage of the promising future and keep crashing it and take money out of people who want to see bitcoin grow.
2031  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing against 2024 on: November 25, 2022, 09:59:38 PM
It's true that it will never be easy to make a profit during a bad bear market period and it is always easier to keep on investing for a chance to profit later on when the time comes. However, there are too many people who do not know what they are doing and that causes them to lose a lot of money, there are a lot of people who are too scared to be a good investor, and they end up with doing the wrong things during this period.

I personally would suggest not to go with it, just doesn't make sense, but at the end it's just a situation we are in that we can't get out if we are newbies. Hopefully people will see how to make a profit, it looks like it will take some time, but people will join eventually.
2032  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will Be bottom Of BTC in 2022 Year ( Current Price= $16000 ) on: November 25, 2022, 09:36:33 PM
Reaching bottom is not the issue, it could be 16k, it could be 14k, it could be 10k, and none of that would matter really because that’s not the point. You could buy now, or buy later if it goes lower, and the result is almost the same, just a bit more profit if you are right and buy lower.

However, when will it start to go back up is the real issue here, and it doesn't look like it will be anytime soon. That’s the scary part about it, and I believe it will end up with a bit of a trouble if it doesn't go up for a while more. We just need to realize that whatever happens, we need to hold as long as possible and if it takes too long, then we wait for too long.
2033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF Confirmed He Will Be Speaking at NY Times’ DealBook Summit on: November 25, 2022, 08:31:04 PM
This will cause trouble for sure, there is no doubt about it. Imagine how many people have lost their money because of this and that means we are talking about a situation where he would not be considered a person who is liked at all, and he could be in danger. Someone who lost all his life savings could end up doing something dangerous.

Knowing where he will be is a risky thing, people who are too upset could do something silly because they know exactly where he will be, can even plan it beforehand. So, I would suggest him to cancel this, if he does go through with it, at the very least he would be booed off the stage and worst could be something I don't even want to think about.
2034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum keep its leadership in the crypto smart contract industry? on: November 25, 2022, 07:02:53 PM
It will hold it for sure, there is no doubt about that in my mind. I understand that there are a lot of competitions and because of that people act as if there is a possibility of other coins end up being above ethereum even if not in marketcap rankings, but at least usage of smart contracts. I will agree that there will be more and more places that will take away small chunks from ethereum and that’s understandable but that doesn't mean that there will be a single one that will go over it.

Just because there are small ones that grows, doesn't mean that it’s a single project, it maybe like a dozen projects combined together becoming bigger than ETH, that’s the path right now.
2035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Good the bad and the ugly side of airdrops on: November 25, 2022, 05:42:52 PM
The bad side always outweight the good side and that’s the trouble. Do not even bother to be part of any bounties or airdrops because if they are giving away their token for free, that means they do not consider it to be valuable at all.

There are two valid options with tokens when you are creating a new project, either do not have them all printed before, so that people would have to either stake or mine them and NOBODY has even a single one at first (the staking could be done somehow with others I don't know, it’s beyond me, or have a very small one) or you could just distribute ALL of it and not have any for the creators, that’s it, no presale or anything, just pure distribution.
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Chinese Man Won $29,392,922.00 & Refused to tell His Wife and child on: November 25, 2022, 04:16:32 PM
Well, he is an idiot for sure. It's not about working or not, just because you got money doesn't mean you would have to stop working, you could still keep working. But that kind of money would give you the chance not to get abused, normally if your boss asks you to stay after the shop is closed and clean the place when it’s not your job, then you could not say no because you need the job but with this you could say no.

I work on a freelance job, but if I make 30+ million dollars in a single day, I will probably give a bit of break first and go to vacation but then I will come back and still work, because what am I suppose to do with my life? I would be bored if I stopped working all together, hence why I will keep working to keep my sanity.
2037  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is likely to head towards a price of $13,000 on: November 24, 2022, 09:38:55 PM
People need to realize that there are too many "weak hands" in the market and that is very important to get rid of them. I know that it could be bothering you, and I know that it is causing a little trouble in some peoples finances, especially in a period like this that means people lack the funds so many more become weak hands because of the economy in general.

But, you gotta realize that it’s not a big problem and we should be fine about it. Just hold your ground and do not let the market make you fear for your money and cause you to sell. Hold it, and hold it for long term, even buy more if you can afford to and eventually you will be the one that profits.
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 24, 2022, 09:20:02 PM
Ohhhhh Danilo is an AMAZING player, I played him in my teams when I play Football Manager, dude is not only just great but he grows to be even better each time, of course that may not be real because we have seen plenty of great players on FM that became bad, but if he is given the chance for a bigger club, goes to Arsenal, then there is a chance he could become a lot better because he would be constantly getting help from the best trainers and other staff in the world.

Obviously there are also a lot of Delle Ali type of players who became worse every year, and I just believe that Danilo would not be a player like that, his future is incredibly bright for sure.
2039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Coin losing its Value, What will happen to Public Funds on: November 24, 2022, 08:59:33 PM
This is an assumption and nothing more. The moment you realize that you are assuming bnb coin is all CZ has is a wrong assumption, the quicker you will get out of this trouble. Sure BNB is a big part of what binance is, but the price could be 2 dollars each and they will do fine, and they did fine back when it was 2 dollars as well so it's proven.

The issue here is that people are looking at the coin of a company and assume that they have all their money in there, when in fact they usually do not, they have a lot less money in their own coin than people think they do. Binance has billions upon billions of dollars worth of investments in many other areas and they will be fine.
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 24, 2022, 08:28:32 PM
Lewandowski shouldn't have done what he did, it was obvious that he was looking to get himself sent off, and the way he did it was such an amateur way to do it as well. I get it, he wanted to relax and rest up a bit before the world cup and wanted to miss one game so he would just directly went back and rested, but the way he did it was too "obvious".

Normally players could just tell their manager to not play him, that should be seen as ok thing to do, just give him one week salary cut and he should take it and it should be all fine. On the other hand, dude just ended up running full force to opponent and jumped on him, that’s not really okay at all.
