2041  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree that an employer should hire employees who are smarter than him? on: November 24, 2022, 07:46:23 PM
It’s quite a tough decision to make for a few reasons. If the worker is smarter than it would make more profit for you, and that’s a good thing but at the end of the day they could also leave and build their own thing or maybe find a bigger company as well.

I believe that having a smarter worker would be good for short term until they leave. Whereas if you have a very hard working one, then they will do their best for you, and if they are not smarter, they will have harder time proving that they would be good to other companies and that means they will stay with you longer as well. It’s just a simple approach, do you want short term bigger profit, or long term smaller profit?
2042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: November 24, 2022, 07:16:24 PM
We should realize two things about this situation and they are very important. One lesson we need to take out from this tweet is that "any" tweet could be tweeted about bitcoin and should not be cared unless it’s a legal one. I understand if Biden or any other government person comes out and says something positive regarding crypto in a law manner would be good, because it’s the law, and being positive with regulations would be awesome.

However, anything else, just a "it's a good thing, it will go up" etc etc, all of them are useless, no matter who tweets them. Secondly, it could be long or short winter, it has already been quite long, but the key here is that it will go up, maybe in 2025, maybe in one week, but it WILL go up.
2043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New play to earn games that actaully earn you coins on: November 24, 2022, 06:21:53 PM
People could shill anything they want here, that’s the beauty of bitcointalk, but to shill like you are not part of anything but just helping others to see something good, while the whole point is to attract new customers and investors, is a bad way to do it. Openly pay people to promote it, and just put up banners and such, have bounty campaigns, basically do a marketing for it and you will be maybe liked, or at least shilled by us all.

However, acting as if there is no connection and this is just an honest to god investment is a big trouble and will make you look shady and that is why many people do not invest into these things at all.
2044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: November 23, 2022, 09:28:56 PM
When the nation celebrates a win as a national holiday, you know that was a huge win for sure. This also shows all the people who doubted Qatar to have a possibility of a win on the starting game, yes Ecuador was a better team and yes they won, but it could have happened, if Saudi Arabia could beat Argentina, then Qatar could have of course beaten Ecuador, the difference between them is much smaller than what Arabia managed to do.

I feel like football is great because of games like this, we see rarely when the underdogs (and by this much) end up winning, otherwise if the favourites of all games ended up winning, it wouldn't be fun at all, it would be quite boring.
2045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 23, 2022, 08:45:55 PM
I feel like people are putting too much pressure and blame on Ronaldo, when in reality we are talking about a mutual thing. If there were people in the management that didn't treat him fairly and constantly asked him to be benched and he felt like he wasn't wanted there, then it does make sense for him to go out and say these things.

To ask him to shut up and just take his money and sit on the bench, would be making sure that we are talking about Ronaldo saying nothing to unfair treatment and that would be wrong. Any place in the world where management treats its employees unfairly would be disliked, yet somehow United is not disliked for how they treated Ronaldo.
2046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 23, 2022, 05:46:45 PM
First Argentina loses to Saudi Arabia, then Germany loses to Japan. This world cup feels like players did not even care for it, like they didn't even want to be here. I personally feel like there is a good case to be made about the fact that players do not even try to win. Maybe it could be about the fact that if they somehow finish second, they could lose and go back home instead of trying to be here and work harder. November/December world cup is a tough thing.

I guess we will keep seeing more of these type of games, not sure if it will happen quickly or not, but it may happen here and there and it could be quite entertaining for sure to see these underdog wins but not a good feeling to lose these bets.
2047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: November 22, 2022, 07:03:24 PM
Bitcoin and crypto are different words. When someone says crypto, they may mean altcoins as well and that’s not going to be that much of a big deal. Let’s be real and accept that some alts will die, like Luna did, and like many other before that and after that.

We just need to accept the fact that it’s not going to be that easy to invest into coins other than bitcoin. However, if we talk about the general "idea" of crypto, it will always be here, bitcoin and "some" other coins will always be here, the top 10 could change, top 20 will change, top 100 will definitely change, but top 1 won't, that’s bitcoins spot and will stay there for sure. I just hope people won't fixate on any other coin.
2048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After FTX collapse, some call for a return to decentralized roots on: November 22, 2022, 06:03:43 PM
I have always said that decentralization is with the blockchain and not how you use the coin. I mean bitocin itself cannot be centralized, but what you do with it can be. This time maybe we ought to change that too? I mean not saying that it would be better or worse, but it does look like it is going to end up with something that is hurting the market at this moment if we keep this up.

So, it is better to move to Decentralized Exchanges for trading for example, or any other p2p method for fiat needs. Because at the end of the day it is not looking like we are talking about something that is profitable in the long run if we keep using centralized companies.
2049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 22, 2022, 05:03:23 PM
Max just recently said in an interview that after his contract is over with Red Bull he could retire. His goal was to become a world champion, and he became one and there was a controversy with the first one, so he won it again this year and that is purely his, there is no drama going on with this one, and by the time his contract ends, he will be 31 years old and probably will get another 1-2 titles, which would show that he is good enough and he is a world champion with no question marks.

After that, his goals are over, he doesn't have any other goal while racing, he wanted to win, he won, and it's over. I don't know if he will actually do it, but it looks like he didn't race just to race, he raced to win, so after that it feels futile to him I guess.
2050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: November 21, 2022, 08:35:50 PM
I feel like Checo couldn't get the second position because the car wasn't as dominant as people think it is, and Checo was using it to help Max and not win races, there is a difference. It wasn't Rosberg vs Hamilton issue, it was literally Checo just being out there defending so Max could get away with a big win.

The car wasn't as dominant as the points show, because Max was the first driver and he gets the points, but the difference in points was due to Ferrari having a few DNF and also a ton of strategy problems, look at the whole year, Ferrari lost so many points because of bad strategy calls, that means if they didn't lose points due to those, it could have been much more closer to Max than Checo.
2051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: November 21, 2022, 07:01:22 PM
It always comes back bigger over and over again and yet the people who doubt that do not stop doubting it. I mean it's clear that we are going to be 68k+ for sure, and we are going to be even 100k+ or even 500k+ one day, sure the 500k+ will be a long time, not expecting it anytime soon, but sometime before 2030 I imagine, which would be fine.

However, on the other hand we are talking about all these people who are selling for some reason. I never understood people who sold their bitcoins, like what is the thinking behind it? What’s the logic of selling something that will go up about x8 or so in a year or two? Is there like a better investment out there that they want to invest into?
2052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 20, 2022, 08:12:09 PM
On the Piers Morgan interview Ronaldo wasn't really off the idea of going to PSG to play with Messi. Now we all know they are already great without him, and Ronaldo may not serve as an improvement to any position at all, but we also know that Mbappe grew up with Ronaldo posters all over his room and he is idolizing him so much and PSG is having trouble keeping him there even after paying nearly half a billion dollars contract (not paying but will be paid mostly).

So getting Ronaldo to PSG, even if not for his talents or anything, but just to make Mbappe super amazing happy, could actually serve greatly for them, and to be fair maybe UCL would be hard, but Ligue 1 is child’s play for Ronaldo, he could play with the trio together and they four could dominate everyone very easily.
2053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 20, 2022, 03:03:41 PM
Utah is definitely doing weird right now. They have traded their stars away for a chance to get a great pick, and that’s understandable many teams do that, and some teams do not even look for a title anymore and just try to be at the bottom with a lot of picks. When was the last time you saw Detroit or Orlando be good? It’s clear that some teams just tank.

However, if they do not have those good players, and if they do not tank and have good picks, then what’s the point? What are they doing? Was those trades purely done because they just wanted to move on with new players and still achieve something? I do not think that they really wanted to do that neither.
2054  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest reason why you dont make profit first on: November 19, 2022, 09:16:44 AM
Emotions are always having a vital role in trading and this time you are again bring a known point from the basics but may be with new kind of fancy terms. Usually people do say all these like money attracts money but in depth we can interpret that like 'success attracts success'.  A success definitely will motivate you which again may bring you profits but only when you are not deviating from your plans.

What usually traders do commit after a profitable trade is, get over-motivated and turn as a greedy trader. There is a thin line between being motivated and over-ambitious. Only by experience, you can stick with your plans after a profitable trade. Market scenarios are continuously evolving in-which being motivated beyond a level will collapse everything. This is why trading many times looks like exact gambling.
2055  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Price Drop - How are Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Responding? on: November 19, 2022, 08:00:40 AM
Due to multiple reasons, the value of bitcoin is always bullish hence if you are a long term holder then you never bother about any bearish trend of bitcoin markets. Just imagine if you have bought bitcoins by the times of 2016 when bitcoin was trading below $1000, then you are already in profits for at least 10 folds; and might be keeping your imaginary stop-loss around 2x or 5x from your buying prices then you will stay calm and might be focusing arranging more funds to make use of a 'perfect' bottom.

Not just with bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general, I do notice that all long term holders of other investment like stock or gold or realestate also enjoying massive profits in long run. But, unfortunately people here do mistake the term long term with months of holding or 1 or 2 years of holding but we need to remember that bitcoin's cycle is 4 years long hence your long term plans must be based on how many bitcoin cycles that you are going to cover.
2056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com in trouble? on: November 18, 2022, 09:26:21 PM
Unfortunate that crypto is so attractive to so many scammers, I feel like there is a  whole bunch of them all got together to disturb what we have.

We have something so good here, and I feel like it is the best way to overcome all the problems we face financially, something that we can rebel against the governments which destroy our wealth, and give more of it to already wealthy people, crypto is a perfect way to fight against that. But instead, we turn into a scam pool where people keep scamming each other and unfortunately that causes both a lot of drop in price, but also there are a lot of trust lost in crypto because of all of this as well.
2057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance, BitMEX and KuCoin have delisted FTX Token pairs from their crypto excha on: November 18, 2022, 09:03:55 PM
Doesn't really make sense to keep it listed to be fair. Why keep something that is bankrupted listed there, and obviously when something gets delisted from all these exchanges, there is NEVER  a way for it to come back. If you really have any wish or hope for it to ever come back, please stop it, if you keep on investing on it or even hold it, that’s going to just hurt your income and profits, you are going to lose more and more.

If anyone who reads this message still has even a cent of FTX, just sell it, sell it right now and get out because it’s going to hurt you. Only hold it if you accept that it will go to zero, and you don't care, which is weird but that’s the truth.

I really really want to see Vetten winning this race but that would be as near impossible as it gets. It would be like farewell to Kobe where he scored 60 points on his last game and got the win, Vettel winning this race would be epic for him. I know that he is retired now and this is his last race but I really hope to see him racing again with a great car.

Something like putting him on Red Bull again, both because he has won so much there already, but also he could have both helped Max to win more titles, but also could teach him how to be even better could have been awesome. The retirement is something I am having hard time accepting, I am hoping he would come back one way or another.
2059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectation Rock Bottom Level Bitcoin on: November 18, 2022, 06:00:10 PM
The difference between knowing bitcoin price will be high and buying right now and knowing bitcoin price will be high and buying when it is 5k is a lot. Even if we assume it is 15k right now (it's more) there is 3 times difference.

So let's assume you bought 1 bitcoin at 15k, and sold it at 100k that is an 85k profit, but if you buy 3 bitcoins at 5k each, that is still 15k spent, but when it's 100k that would be 300k, that means 285k profit. That is the difference, so people waiting for it to drop even more do not make a mistake, only a mistake if it doesn't drop. I believe it won't drop, that's why I buy now, but if it does, then they were right for waiting for it to go down.
2060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: November 18, 2022, 05:41:52 PM
Is it too much to ask both parties to not show neither Biden nor Trump as candidate. The worst thing that has ever happened in history of American democracy was the fact that "there are just two parties" ended up with giving us Biden or Trump choice, and they are the two people who got the most votes ever in history of elections, why? Were they simply that good? No, the other one was so bad that everyone voted for someone they disliked, because there was someone even more hated, 10x more hated, on the other side for both parties.

I am not saying go pick the greatest human or something, at this point any ex president looks better than these two, just pick someone else for either. About gambling part, Biden would win, not because Biden is great, he sucks, he is not even sane anymore, he is demanted, way too old, not a brain functioning properly, but imagine how terrible Trump is that people prefer Biden over him.
