Like the S1, adoption should happen quickly and Bitmain ships in quantities instead of long pre-orders that never ship like BFL, KnC and others.
Bitmain just sank KnC ...

Look, i don't want to pile on, but apparently Neptune is a good product in everything, but the price. Yet, batch 3 in Q3 (when?) is stuck at $5995, which is obviously non-competitive right now or about to become such. Why not be aggressive, make a Polyphemus or something (at 10Th) for $8999 or even $9999, but release in one week. That kind of machine would probably sell.

True, but they kinda did it ages ago, by matching the Neptune price exactly and shipping immediately. Bitmain were dollar for dollar back in March and most who refunded on Neptune but wanted some toys to play with bought from bitmain and had 3 months extra/earlier hashing at the same price as Neptune. Probably bitmain rigs were bit more on electricity, but I'm sure the lower difficulty more than made up for that. Bitmain wiped out Neptune. They probably didn't need to keep lowering their prices, but they did, until their price matched exactly Neptune per GH (N.B. Do the math - their current price of 0.988BTC matches exactly) Shipping from stock, they have destroyed BFL/KNC's cosy pre-order business.

Their May newsletter said: In order to increase value for KnC customers we are adding one extra Neptune miner to each pre-ordered Neptune in batch one and batch two. but it depends on if you trust the lying fucks. The hash-while-you-wait was supposed to be completely free, but they ended up putting a price on it to screw everyone out of it.

I remember somewhere else where KNC talked about the 2 for one thing and remember the wording being tricky which is why I was confused. That May newsletter does seem to indicate that its per machine. Guess we will find out seen since I just emailed them to see if I could get a mix of Titans and Neptunes for my 3 customer appreciate batch Neptunes.

I wonder if theres any remote chance in this stage despite their tos to get a Titan refund (10k) or if it would be a lost cause. I really dont want to deal with Kncminer anymore and need the money to buy a house.

Sorry to say it, but the "Damage is done" No refunds on Titans, and the price was so high there's no chance of even auctioning Titan for ROI... Your only hope imho is to scrypt-coin-hop your way to a possible ROI but even that looks sketchy with 800 alts and swarms of coin-hopping scrypt-mining junkies, and very few coins with an actual useful purpose. Litecoin droppage scared ya eh? Many in same boat. I always was/am leery of alts, and don't believe any one will hold their value, barring select crime supporting cryptos like Darkcoin. Might as well call it "Crimecoin"

ask them and be politely persistent. Explain your situation and maybe you'll run into the 1 human there that has a bit of decency left. There be none, but it doesn't hurt to try.

How do the recent refunds fit in the picture of the allegations that KNC was holding back refunds due to the BTC price not being profitable?

Uuuuhhh..... Pure speculation? Totally irrelevant I'm thinking, because they stated(boasting) in an interview that they were careful to cash all Bitcoin every day. (A million kronor/day months ago) In which case, the CURRENT value of BTC at any one time is irrelevant. Who knows the REAL reasons for that....? KNC does... but I'm betting they may have spent a bit too much on the datahall, and paid out profits to investors too soon... and had to have 12000 stupid cubes made at the last minute because of underperforming chips... or something along those lines. Add that to shooting yourself in the foot several times with the announcements like "Plan B", spondoolies and Bitmain competition... and others = Refund rush in waves that simply couldn't be satisfied.

Not really because I got a refund 2 days ago in the middle of a 7 day drop down to $615

looks like phonie is still working hard to keep his critics muffled despite his repeated false claims of 'ignoring' them
like i said - i've thought on more than one occasion that its done intentionally, perhaps to disguise other less 'quirky' objectives.
