sadpandatech: attack is still here, we're both fighting with that. Actually attack got a little more intensive before few minutes, but mining still works (though with connection errors sometimes).

thanks for the response, m8.  I see you mentioned whitelisting, did you end up having to go the 'Deny All' route?

Have you had any chance to analyze the attack packets? There has got to be some sort of identifiable trace in them that can be filtered out.  Assuming your Host or upstream provider is using any kind of packet marking capabilities, its hard to suggest to them what methods to deploy without knowing how the attacks are coming in. Are they spoofed syn attacks, reflector type or what? Anything other than UDP based flooding can be stamped out with a 'Stack Pi' type mechanism. UDP can be strictly filtered from the upstream side.  Sorry to be so buggy, I owned an ISP many moons ago and had to deal with a lot of this kind of crap.

   Cheers, m8

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

My miners' connections are very spotty. I manage to get 1 share in here and there, but then fails for minutes in a row. Website is unreachable.

I know some smaller pools that would be happy to have you temporarily until slush comes back up

I know a few of those too. I have my miners setup so that they mine on those smaller pools if my main pools are unavailable, but still keep retrying every so often. Those are the results I'm posting here.

Nope. Still only manage 1-2 shares in here and there. Which due to the score-based payout method is not useful at all.

Thank you Slush! You the Dood!!!! Smiley.

I am mining away, no rejects or errors. Website works fine on my side, no ssl as you stated, I'm fine with that.

Cool that you are using the mitigation services.

Great work, getting it backup!

I added some new DDoS balancers and DNS changes are in progress. So if you're still connected to original one (overloaded), you still might see some issues. I recommend you to restart miners and let them connect to fresh IPs.

I forgot to state that I'll recalculate those rounds from DDoS attack with share based (proportional) mechanism later. Score method of course need stable connection on pool side, so using score while being under ddos is nonsense.

that first DDoS IP ending with .109 is still a little overloaded. If you see many connection issues, you may try few miner restarts to connect miners to another IP from DNS balancing.

But yes, things are going to stabilize a little, at least for now.

yes, def great work. Butttttt, it is far from being 'Back up'.....  Only ~530GH on slush pool atm and I still cannot get in, along with many others.....

Lot of miners disconnected and also hashrate on website is inaccurate for 30 minutes since last problems. But things are going better.

Aye, I certainly applaud your work on this, m8. Have you slept yet?

That's a smart move -- imagine if everyone knew Slush's routine -- when he's gone for a while, what day he likes to run household errands, when he's unconscious (asleep) for 8 hours, etc.

Actually it's very hard to find time when I'm completely off the Internet. And thanks to one of the first attack to the pool, which was during my holiday, I'm not telling my plans to anybody anymore.

Slush.  Username michaelmclees.  I'm using a different IP to mine now than what you probably have on record.  Anyway it whitelist the new one?
