1861  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: December 25, 2020, 02:12:19 PM
In my personal experience, this pandemic cryptocurrency became more productive in terms of earning for me. I lost the part-time jobs that I usually do at weekends and it is really hard to work freelance right now because of the number of people providing services increases. I got to focus on trading and I am earning more than what I earn from jobs that I do before the pandemic.

I am someone who used to do a lot of freelancing with sites such as Digitalpoint and Postloop. But recently, the competition has increased tremendously and therefore the pay rates have declined. Now it is no longer worth the time and effort to work on these sites. And when this happens, we need to move away from them and look for other avenues. And this is how I found Bitcointalk in 2017.

I can confirm this. I have been buying services on such platforms for several years. And since March 2020 I have been observing that the prices are getting cheaper and cheaper. For simple programming jobs, I was paying $ 8-10 an hour last December. I am currently seeing offers from freelancers with very good ratings of $ 4-5/hr. The fall in prices is even more severe for other services.
1862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 25, 2020, 02:09:29 PM
Leicester - Manchester Utd

Leicester play very badly against Manchester United. The last 5 matches - 4 lost. But Leicester has played well in recent matches. I think it will be an interesting game with a lot of goals.

Leicester vs Manchester United would be one matches to watch for the week, Leicester have been getting better in recent weeks but so have Man Utd, I will give my the edge to win this. However, my better will like be btts or under 2.5, whichever odds I find more valuable before the game.

Agree, hard to predict. The odds favor Manchester United, but both teams have had a good run over the last weeks so it is pretty balanced in my opinion. I try to go for double chance Leichester @1.72. I also see a good chance in betting for a win of Southhampton @2.33 against Fulham.
1863  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 25, 2020, 02:02:58 PM
Using loans for bitcoin investment is always not recommended even if the market is in bearish season. It may be profitable in the eyes of the investors but does not guarantee ensured profits enough to pay the monthly interest of such loans. And what about if the market goes on bearish the whole year? So it's never a good start to take loans for bitcoin investment because if its price fluctuations that is inevitable.

Yes and no. If you can't afford to lose money, then it is not recommend taking loans for investments of course. But if you have money, but this is currently tied up in another safe investment (e.g. fixed deposit contract), then it can make sense to invest in an asset that has lost a lot of value (through exaggeration) and has a future.
1864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 23, 2020, 09:15:07 PM
the next one please ... not Peter Neururer and not Friedhelm Funkel - schalke 04 today announced his new coach. it is Christian Gross
https://www.kicker.de/christian-gross-uebernimmt-schalke-kleines-gehalt-stattliche-nicht-abstiegspraemie-793180/artikel

Okay, that's really a surprise. He's certainly not a bad coach, but I'm not sure he's the right one for this situation. He coached for a year in the Bundesliga 10 years ago and since then he has only coached non-name teams in Saudi-Arabia and Egypt. I'm afraid that will go bad.

Best part of the article Cheesy
Quote
There is a comparatively low basic salary for him. If the 66-year-old should keep the class with the Gelsenkirchen team, he would get an impressive seven-digit non-relegation bonus.
1865  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 23, 2020, 09:08:30 PM
I believe that no loans for investment in cryptocurrency can be taken, since it is impossible to predict the further development of events in the cryptocurrency market. If we take into account the indicators of 2020, When it would be possible to take out a loan and invest in Bitcoin at low prices at the beginning of the year, and sell today for $ 23,000, then for a whole year, credit interest is practically destroyed all income.
Bitcoin price in early 2020 was around $7k - $8k and with the current price even exceeding $20k, I don't think the interest on the loan will be that big which will destroy profits. Making a loan is risky, but if it's like this I'm sure those who buy early in the year with a loan will still have high profits, they still have monthly income and I think that's enough to cover the loan interest. So yes, it is an investment that is full of risk but has a chance of getting a return that might come as a surprise.

In March Bitcoin dropped to around 3,4k. At this point it made sense to take out loans to invest in Bitcoin if you wanted to take the risk. But at this point it's just plain stupid. There will certainly be many again who will do it anyway, like back in 2017, simply because they think they will miss the train. In the end it leads to people committing suicide because they speculated, should Bitcoin price correct strongly. So I would advise everyone against it.

very frustrating this shit still gets away with such garbage.

I am frustrated that someone like you has not been banned on this forum yet. No one needs negative destructive forum posts and these account for at least 80% of all your forum posts. You must be a very frustrated human being.
For example, you could start explaining (in detail) what bothers you about Waves. Take your time. Better a good post from you than 10 totally unnecessary ones as usually.
1867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 23, 2020, 08:58:59 PM
What is that for a contract with Huub Stevens? Only for two games? I would feel pretty screwed as a player.
But at least they have won their first game.

Huub Stevens as well as his wife have health problems. That is why he quit to be a coach some years ago. But he is still on the board of Schalke 04. As they currently had no alternative, he stepped in for two games. As far as I know there was no contract. He has now delivered the two games and Schalke now has two weeks to find a new coach. I am curious who it will be.
1868  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Can Be Bought With Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2020, 06:39:17 PM
Are there people out there selling their goods and services that I can pay with bitcoin? I need some real places where I can pay with BTC without first converting to fiat.

Well, you can actually pay everything with Bitcoin when you use services like bitrefill.com where you can buy coupons for Amazon, Netflix, Walmart and many more. Of course, there are also many services that directly accept Bitcoin like hosting, VPN providers or merchandise sellers, to just mention a few. In Germany for example, you can have delivered meal for Bitcoin, because the largest food delivery company accepts Bitcoin as payment option.
1869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 22, 2020, 06:17:59 PM
Matches in the German Cup take place tonight (I know it's not necessarily the right thread for that, but there is no other). I think Schalke will win its match against Ulm (4th German league) despite the current situation. Perhaps it will help them to find self-confidence from it and then end the extreme negative series against the also ailing club Hertha Berlin after the winter break in two weeks.

i highly doubt it. that's exactly what happened in the first dfb-cup round, schalke 04 won the game at schweinfurt (also from the 4th league) and still couldn't get anything in the league games ... the club and the players are on the brink. Roll Eyes
What about them losing this game too? What will be the consequences?
I agree, even if they win the game nothing will change, they can't claim everything is getting fine by winning vs a street football club..

The consequence would be that they lose another source of income, although Schalke already has enough financial problems. It is foreseeable that they will have to sell or loan players in the next two weeks. As far as the negative match balance is concerned, it has no impact at first, as the "famous negative series" only includes Bundesliga matches.

Btw: Schalke leads 1-0.
1870  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: December 22, 2020, 06:12:30 PM
The COVID 19 pandemic presented an unique opportunity for cryptocurrency in 2020. In some areas, it has made significant progress. But in some other sectors, it has remained stagnant. The usage of Bitcoin as a payment medium has witnessed hardly any improvement during this period. On the other hand, it's use as an investment asset has received a massive boost, thanks to mainstream investment firms and corporations such as PayPal and Square.

I agree with you. The crisis would be a great opportunity for alternative payment systems like crypto. Unfortunately, despite the progress of the last few years, it is still cumbersome to pay with crypto. The transaction times are still too long. Because of the virus, cash will continue to decline and instead of relying on electronic fiat money, we should use more crypto in order to be able to maintain our own independence.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 22, 2020, 04:59:11 PM
We should not support this kind of gambling events or features, it's like staking people's health, it's inhuman and unethical it's like we are wishing many will die from this Covid, they should get their license revoked if they have a license or gamblers should not support his kind of gambling site.

Well, if you bet or not on this "event" it does not have any impact. So you do not really bet on peoples health. If we follow your argumentation we would also have to forbid betting on elections, since there could win a candidate who disadvantages minorities for example. The implication of COVID-19 is far more than just the health, it has an impact on many fields especially the economy, sports, events like the Olympic Games etc.
1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: December 22, 2020, 04:50:06 PM
I'll buy more at 0.23 guys, and I will buy each dip. I'm very confident about the XYM airdrop mid january. What are your price speculation about Symbol?
IMO I think it will be around $0.2, which could be a very nice ROI in this case  Smiley

Price speculation is always difficult. But in the long run I think Symbol (or better NEM 2.0) can reach $ 1 again. Over the years, NEM has always been among the top30 coins, most recently permanently among the top20, despite the expected innovations, which now come with the symbol, have been postponed very often. Right from the start, Symbol was raised much more professionally than many decisions at NEM have recently been made. So I remain optimistic about this project.

1874  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Ledger (Live) - Angebote / Diskussion / Hilfe on: December 22, 2020, 04:36:19 PM

Irgendwie erhält man in diversen Diskussionsthreads verschiedene Antworten dazu.
1875  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Ledger (Live) - Angebote / Diskussion / Hilfe on: December 21, 2020, 10:26:02 PM

1877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020... Altseason? on: December 20, 2020, 11:46:50 AM
After the halving in the past few months, it remains only to wait for the exact moment when the price boom will occur. and it can be ascertained that if the price of bitcoin is high, then most of the prices of some altcoins have also experienced a good increase

Yes, there is a pattern after every halving. But overall, the price is rising not because of the halving but because of the money printing of the central banks and the loss of confidence in fiat currencies. Many altcoins performed much better than Bitcoin in 2020, so that you cannot necessarily establish a connection between the Bitcoin increase and Altcoins.
1878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 20, 2020, 11:44:35 AM
There was a phrase: football is a game in which 22 players take place, the ball is one and the goals are two, and always wins Germany... now we can replace Germany by Bayern Munich :d

Gary Lineker's legendary quote Cheesy Admittedly, yesterday was another typical Bayern win. In Germany there has been a term for it for a long time: "Bayern Dussel" (means something like Bavarian luck). In principle, it has been the case for a very long time that Bayern repeatedly wins matches in the last phases, usually with enormous luck.
1879  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [VORSICHT möglicher SCAM] Frankfurter Fintech Startup Savedroid startet ICO on: December 19, 2020, 03:14:44 PM
Es gibt mal wieder was neues von Savedroid:

Die App wird eingestellt.

Mehr dazu gibts hier:

https://financefwd.com/de/savedroid-eingestellt/

Was soll man dazu noch sagen.  Grin Grin

There is a match between Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund tonight. In my opinion, it will be hard for both teams. Union Berlin are going really good in the league. They are playing quite nice in their home stadium too. They lost just one of their home matches so far. They had a chance to win against Bayern last week but it ended 1-1. I think they can win this match while Dortmund are going very unstable without Haaland.

The question will be whether the coach change will further inspire Dortmund or whether Union Berlin can continue its series. I think both are possible, so betting on the game is too risky for me, because even the odds for Double Chance Berlin are relatively bad  Cheesy That says a lot about how Union Berlin is currently rated by the bettors: pretty well.
