2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with the Star Atlas rally ? on: December 04, 2022, 03:33:23 PM
Unfortunately, there is a big amount of money going on in the crypto world that is not attached to anything long term right now. Many people got out, and they are in cash and they could do whatever they please with it. And as we all can guess, it is not an easy thing to just keep it in control forever, it could cause a lot of trouble for many people if it goes directly to one project for a pump and dump.

This doesn't mean that Star Atlas had a pump and dump, but it also means that it wasn't one neither, it could be anything and any project. So we should always be careful with the low cap stuff, and even things like star atlas which could be considered midcap and not a low one.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Classic - realistic prediction? on: December 03, 2022, 12:38:08 PM
Well, I would suggest you to hold on if you think that it would go up. It is not really about hate, but considering what has happened, it is very hard to trust that it could go up. It's great that you made x5 profit, but what if you didn't? That's the scary part and that is what people are afraid of at the same time.

I believe that there would be a big problem if you buy it now, and then the price starts to crash, why would you want to risk your money on something that has proven to fail before? This is not hate, this is smart investment and that is how you make some money with it, and I believe I could make money by avoiding bad hits like this.
2003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Tournament Discussion Thread for Qatar 2022 on: December 02, 2022, 06:32:04 PM
It is going to keep being an interesting world cup for sure, but at the end of the day do we really think that teams like France or Brazil would have a shocking result? Nobody considered Germany or Spain to be favourites, they believed that England would be, France would be and of course Brazil would be these are the high favourites and they are doing fine if you ask me, still some unexpected results by some of them, but they look good.

I believe one of those three will win the title and that is what matters. I am believing that we are going to end up with a good result in the long run and the winner will not be a team like Japan, that is not possible at all.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 02, 2022, 05:38:23 PM
So many games to bet tomorrow, 12 games to be precise, 24 teams all playing games. I had some of the bets ready for this day. Bucks will beat Lakers, Nuggets will lose to Hawks (they are tired, I hope it works, normally Denver is a better team), Cavs beats Magic, Celtics beat Heat, Suns beats Rockets and lastly Warriors beats Bulls and that is a scary one knowing how Warriors do on away games.

This is what I imagine the games will be like but I can't guarantee anything, as per history in basketball, even the greatest teams of all times end up losing games so we never know what will happen. I am really hoping all of this hits because the return will be gigantic for me.
2005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase wallet stops support for XRP, ETC, XLM and BCH on: December 02, 2022, 03:38:02 PM
I feel like adding more and more coins doesn't matter, because even though it would be great to have one big exchange with ALL coins and tokens, like coinmarketcap but exchange, that would actually hurt the market more than it helps it.

Reality is that we shouldn't really have a centralized exchange with all of the coins and tokens in. Coinbase did the right thing and took it slow, because they wanted to make sure that they perfect the thing they had on their hands before they move towards adding more. Now they have idiotic things like apecoin involved, just because they know they could have made some profit from the trading fee's, and of course when those shitcoins go down in volume, they will delist them all.
2006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Animoca Brands on: December 02, 2022, 02:36:02 PM
This company is a giant in the industry they are in but they are also not using the money wisely. I mean if you and I were given 2 billion dollars, and I mean I have no idea who anyone here is, we would use it a lot better, I guarantee it.

So, imagine how terrible they must be spending their money that I guarantee some stranger to be better? Sure, they may end up losing that money and you may too, but that's the same result. I know, with 2 billion dollars, I would be able to build something that would be beyond anyone's understanding of how that was. Think about it this way, games like god of war or red dead redemption costs about quarter of it, so you could build 4 games at that quality, and these are high end games, nothing even comes close to them.
2007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you expect from cryptocurrency? on: December 01, 2022, 11:55:34 PM
Another question to rise about this subject is the fact that BNB is holding a good chunk of tokens on it's BSC as well, which means if the coin itself crashes then the tokens in it could crash as well, or could have trouble. Which means that we should probably focus a bit towards having something much bigger, which is keeping BNB and also ETH alive to keep all other tokens on their chain alive as well.

Other coins with their chains do not have the same thing, but that doesn't change the fact that they are too small, they wouldn't crash the market, but BNB and ETH could, so those two should either be always kept up, or should get rid of being so central focus of token world.
2008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What if Grayscale had to sell all 643,572 bitcoins it has? Let's speculate. on: December 01, 2022, 11:15:32 PM
I have to say it wouldn't "really" be a big trouble. Of course, if they sell it all then the price would crash, but did anything in bitcoins nature changed? Bitcoin is still bitcoin but there is one less whale involved, so the price crash would mean that it should be a temporary one and you could buy when it is low and sell when it is high.

Bitcoin went up before grayscale ever got into it, and it will go up even after it sells all of it. I am not saying price wouldn't crash, maybe it would be under 5k maybe even 1k  who knows, but I am 100% certain that it will grow back again and that's the key importance here, if it grows back up, then no drop matters.
2009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 01, 2022, 07:02:21 PM
Winning against Portland that already traded away CJ a while ago, and didn't had Dame neither means that Portland had basically nobody. They are basically tanking at this point and that's a shame and a sad situation for them that they couldn't get anything with Dame, I think a conference finals at the best and that's it?

But right now, they had nobody when they lost to Lakers. Having a big night, even a career night, against such a team is not something to be proud of, they were playing against some g-leaguers and they won, that's not a success at all. Hopefully Lakers will one day get better, but that year is not this year and they will keep being terrible again.
2010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 01, 2022, 06:29:30 PM
Denver game was a very different one for me, because it showed what would happen if Jokic didn't play at a high end level, and it showed that Denver was ready for it and they were doing fine. Sure they were playing against Rockets, so it wasn't really a difficult game, but other players taking up the lead and helping them get a great win is a key importance. Same with Bucks when Giannis didn't play, they kept on winning even without him.

These matter because it means they could actually do well in the playoffs, these teams are different from Lebron Cavs era teams where if you take Lebron out, they are tanking, so it means finals chance is higher for them.
2011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Here is my personal solana TA analysis and opinion about SOL on: December 01, 2022, 05:53:44 PM
The TA you do on SOL doesn't matter because it is something that may crash later on and that is what matters. If there is a problem with the team or the chain itself then it could crash. While it may look like something good in the long run, it doesn't sound like a great thing in the short term at all, it would really be something troublesome if we just look at the charts and nothing more.

There are so many coins and tokens that has a good chart, but the team behind it is shady, I believe the team behind SOL is not "shady" but they are not great, so they may fail and do something wrong that they shouldn't and just crash the price at any point.
2012  Economy / Economics / Re: A Hundred UK Companies To Adopt Four-Day Working Week With No Pay Cut on: December 01, 2022, 05:08:21 PM
This is good that companies are doing it themselves and not forced by others. The reality is that the last place I worked for made it 7 days a week for a whole month at 12 hours of shift because they didn't had enough workforce, and instead of hiring someone right away, they made us work and paid extra shift money.

By the time I resigned from there, I had so much money and time in there that they paid me nearly 2000 dollars for just half a year's extra work, and in my nation that's a lot, that's basically half a years salary for half a years extra work. But of course, my mind couldn't take it anymore and I quit as well, it was unreal and definitely a horrible situation.
2013  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Approaching $17000 on: December 01, 2022, 01:20:12 AM
We should be jubilant about this current situation because at the end of the day we are talking about something that is a lot better than what we expected and that's a great thing. Nobody really focuses on the bright side of things and only love to focus on the FUD, whenever the price drops everyone talks about how terrible that is and they talk about how something needs to be done and how they should run and all kinds of stuff.

But, when there is a big increase like this nobody focuses on the greatness of things and that is horrible and we should be focusing on something much better. I personally would love to see multiple days of something like this.
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge can it go 1$ on: November 30, 2022, 09:53:51 PM
In order to understand what makes doge so much loved, we first need to realize why people are not taking investment seriously as much as we do. You may consider investment as a very serious thing that should be taken seriously just like how wall street guys do.

However, there is a group of people and by group I mean maybe millions around the world, who realized that economy doesn't stand on top of great financial sheets, it stands on top of bunch of people who have money and bunch of companies who have money and do the same thing together. If they all decide coca cola should go up, they all buy it, and it does go up when they do obviously, so they turn out to be right, but they made themselves right, so it wasn't really a big deal. So, they said "what if we all said doge will go up, and we all bought it, it would go up too?" and that's how it all started.
2015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: November 30, 2022, 08:44:51 PM
There this extra need that people want to actually have some increasing request of higher and higher returns. I believe that this started out when people realized they made so much from crypto, either the ones that made that much profit or the ones that didn't but saw others do.

At first, it was people who wanted x10 return, and that became quite easy to do during bull runs, then it became x100 but eventually during bull runs some tokens reached there, nowadays people are looking for x1000, which is quite unlikely, the 1k you invest should become 1 million dollars, and even though it's unlikely, it's not impossible if you invest into right low cap at the right time but so hard to do. Lets see if people will want x10000 one day.
2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 30, 2022, 05:16:52 PM
Richarlison is a great player and he definitely deserves some more recognition and right now thanks to world cup he is getting it, and one great goal caused him to be known a lot more, that's football for you. You may work hard for 10 years since you were a kid and then one day you score one goal and that makes you a lot more famous than any other thing you did for the past 10 years all because of the goal itself and when and where it happened.

In any case, I am sure he will be bought by some bigger club soon, maybe Real would get him instead of Benzema, as a replacement since Benzema is getting closer to his old age and I feel like he may retire soon.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 30, 2022, 04:41:53 PM
It is understandable to lose the Dallas one, unexpected result I would give you that, but Clippers winning wasn't really that much shocking considering they have a good core, that just doesn't play well, whereas Portland doesn't even have a good core anymore, they have gone soft and basically semi-tanking at this point.

Let's see how they will do, it is going to be a tough year for them. The win was a win so there is nothing about that. I would say 2/3 of the bet was quite great, and that is why you should feel great. I wagered on dallas, and wagered on clippers, so I got them right, and as a contrarian as I am, lost on knicks, expected detriot to do an unexpected win lol.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 30, 2022, 03:08:35 PM
It is clear now that we have our first two games of last 16, Netherlands vs USA and England vs Senegal.

Let's see how it will go, and I am guessing that it will definitely be an entertaining one, good teams that have a chance to beat each other with clear favourites anyway, that type of match ups are always more fun to watch because you know who you should wager on, and you know who will probably win, but since in football, surprises are not surprises anymore and so far we have seen some shocking results, we managed to actually come up with something good with these games. I am guessing Netherlands and UK will go on, but it will not be that easy to do, they will work for it.
2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: November 29, 2022, 08:48:02 PM
Honestly the portfolio and the coins there look like definitely a bad decision and a problem on OP's side. If he ended up buying btc, eth, bnb, ltc and so forth than he wouldn't be this much down, and even if he was, the recovery would be guaranteed. However when you buy stuff like vulcan, ispolink and myid, none of which I have ever heard before let alone can say anything good or bad, then you kind of deserved to lose money.

Buy things that are up there and could be known by most of the world, not stuff that are low cap, because if you do then losing is inevitable. Sure you lose if you bought bitcoin too, but at least it has a brighter future than these shitcoins.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: November 29, 2022, 08:32:31 PM
Coming back from world cup straight into europa would have been hard, it's good that we are not going to have it back to back, teams should rest a bit and do just league games for a few weeks before they play serious games. That way everyone would rest a bit, and then they can get back to being the way they are and it would help them a ton.

I personally would love to see it go on even later on, like not even afterwards but more like April or so, and just condense the games quicker, once every week, that would be a lot quicker results and would help the fun be a lot better as well. Because that way we would get both better players that are rested, but also more games for a good 2 months.
