you confuse that with another company, this is not HashFast, this modell is from ArseFarts.

On "Baby Jet" I was thinking more along the lines of...

I took the above KNC quote to mean they don't plan on releasing product during Dec/Jan/Feb to help keep the skyrocketing hashrate down and thereby help customer's ROI UNLESS their competitors release large quantities during those months. Which is almost guaranteed to happen. Am I off base?
That's not my read, no. Under no circumstance will they be selling products in dec/jan/feb.

Haha! What part of "IF" in the following sentence you don't understand?

"We would like to state that ****IF***** any of our competitors continues to add large amounts of hashing power to the network during December, January or February. We will continue to release our devices as competitively priced as we can to protect our customers share of the network.ThanksKnCMiner Team "

So they WILL if competitors add large amounts of hashing power in those months. Nothing to debate.

How you know they don't have any chips at the moment? can someone write to them if they have the chips already produced?

Am I missing something.. but doesn't 250 amps at like 5V draw 1250 Watts? You'll need huge PSU for their biggest miners that include like 4 of those ASICs, right? ...If one ASIC chip draws over 1kW..

The ASICs don't use 5V, more likely 1.0V or less. On their product presentation diagram, it's 0.9V. (News section on the website)

I am selling in stock OneStringMiner boards, based on the Bitfury chips. Have a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=495536.0

I'm still hoping they'll give Gen 1 purchasers a significant break on Gen 2 devices, especially if ROI becomes elusive for those receiving October shipments. Us October folks could be in a tough spot with Sept. miners getting a head start and November units significantly less expensive.

If you're reading this KNC, can you address these concerns?

This!!!

Sitting in the same boat with my right after day 2 order 2xxx, according to KNC, early October shipment.

October customers are pretty much toast how it seems, September buyers will make their ROI (assuming they start shipping in mid-september) and in November devices according to KNC´s statement will cost a lot less.

Imo, KNC should figure something out for customers who are sitting in this October sandwich, to honour the trust these folks showed with pre-ordering, at least if they start shipping late, .

I´m also wondering about, why KNC can´t (or they won´t?) tell excact shipping dates.
That´s especially for the October customers very important to know.

In 5 weeks we are at the end of September already and every production company of the world should know 5 weeks before deadline an exact shipping date.
Theres no way they don´t know if everything is on track as they say (or even ahead of timeline).

So, that opens discussion for two different scenarios.

First, they won´t tell us, cause they are very confident to start shipping very soon (within next 2 weeks) and they don´t want to give out too much information to their competitors.
Next announcement of them would be in 2 weeks, start of shipping (If I´d be them and I´d be more or less ready to ship, I´d do it like this without announcing anything else before anymore).

Or sceanrio 2, they really can´t say cause of unknown variables (they don´t know if they get everything on time from their suppliers) and that would make it pretty unrealisitic that they start shipping in September.

The good part is that time is ticking away and in 5 weeks we will know if KnC will fulfill their promises or they will be placed next to avalon and BFL.
Either way, speculation will (hopefully) end.

IF you are worried sitting with a KnC order and seeing difficulty rise and other manufacturers gear announced....imagine the other way round, you're sitting with an order from one of the others and you're watching a much more likely delivery of lots and lots of hashing power from KnC likely to come online long before your gear is delivered.

When all these KnC rigs are running the damage to other companies customers ROI is going to be brutal.

did you ever think about secret alignments between the ASIC producers in general. we saw a photo of KnC, BFL and Avalon.

I think it will make sense that everybody of them get a piece of the cake (customer money).

This is incredibly important.

Say your October order doesn't ship until 29th October. KNC massive price drop starts on November 1st. You order November 1st and you get it delivered November 3rd. So the late October orders will have probably cost, at a guess, $3000 more for only 5 days extra usage!

If you pay current price and get it that late that few days is the least of your worries.
