If its any consolation to those that missed out, its not like these will make tons of btc. I suspect most will breakeven and make some spare change only. As for the shipping charges, yes they worked out higher than what it cost to ship my Jupiter. Since these upgrade boards are not shipping with the heatsinks and cases, all the more reason that the shipping cost should be lower. Hopefully a refund can be made to correct this (+1 for Pluto - 6 board hasher) Cheers

This UPS box Could hold 4 upgrade modules and does not cost more than $75 USD to ship so why is KNC charging $206 to ship two board etc?

Guys, I will have 1 module for sale once it arrives. I just realized that I I can only fit 2 more, not 3.
wanna sell it to me, since knc fucked me over? Mate how did you get screwed over when x amount more had the ability to purchase beyond what was allocated and we couldn't even get back into the system to stop it for an entire 2 minutes? When people want something they complain if they don't get it. It's human nature... Now to business, There are two types of i30 Coolers -- One is called a 24/7 Cooler The second is a Direct touch. It looks like either will work. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=i30+Freezer&N=-1&isNodeId=1Is it correct that either should work?

If you have a look at the custom metal bracket made by KNC you will understand why.

I can't get home look at the mounting bar, but I ordered two direct touch models earlier, before I was aware there were two different types. Thanks!

Well gee thanks -- LOL -- local supplier had the A30 on clear out... http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=8_129&item_id=050706Well -- I ordered the i30 Arctic Freezer 24/7 since nobody had the Direct Touch -- hope they work.... Could have spent $35 including tax -- grump grump... had I known Now do both the i30 Types work? My Saturn does indeed seem to have the i30 Arctic Freezer 24/7 version -- the link was to the Direct Touch though. So.... I laid down on the floor and peered into the cage -- it's running well -- I ain't opening the case till I have to.

Forget about these prices - they are for the stupid general public. KNC have an account with UPS/Fedex and get it much cheaper. I posted screenshots to prices via an account, that are even accessible to the general public. The stupid ones go directly to UPS and say: I'll bend over, you do the rest Here is it again: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cheap-parcel-delivery#internationalYet another point KNC failed in my eyes: extortionate shipping charges. $180 for a small packet, weighting less than 1kg. Yeah right Because you are looking at it in the wrong direction mate, you are pricing parcels (without insurance) from the UK to Sweden, its different going the other way. One of your quotes is with Transglobal express right? Well I use them all the time, I have an account with them, try doing their import quote rather than export quote. And thats without the £550 insurance, that's an extra £11! The other one is with Parcel2Go? Apart from pricing in the wrong direction that will always get you incomparable prices, even if you did it that way with them you have to add insurance, try adding £500 on top and see, even going the wrong way how much more they are. I know it feels like they are ripping people off with postage, I don't think they are on the raw UPS express cost, But I agree that 3 boards shouldn't cost 3 x the postage, you should be able to get them for the one price, combine the postage for less total cost.

should have only allocated 200 order spots, not this who pays first bullcrap. also, when an order system screws up, the company usually makes good on it. its nothing personal orama, but i know a bunch of people feel the same way as me here. just poorly handled, that all. upgrades were even visible for longer than 20 minutes.
You failed ok? Once you get the bitpay window up it give you like 15mins to dick around.. so of course as soon as you had it in your cart you click pay to get to bitpay screen as fast as possible then you can relax and send your bitcoins If you didn't get a pay button in your cart then you were slow.. maybe your clock is off, were you logged in and refreshing every half second like the rest of us? man, i placed my order literally at 8am as it popped up, i was refreshing every 5 seconds from 755am. the bit pay button brought up a pop up window that 404 errored on me but i still had my order, so i waited the 10 mins for my btc to come in and went back to pay.....how is this my fault. Don't worry about it too much. It's not like these boards will make people rich. Maybe it will mine slightly over it's cost, but just marginally.

Funny how some people think that somehow since they couldn't "Win the race" buying up the upgrade boards, that KNC still owes them something.... or they got treated unfairly...... Total B.S. You snooze, you loose..... I did. Looks like I'll be saving up for the next batch... Congrats to all the Bratz who got some!...

The speed-buy of this one batch is fine, what bothers me is suddenly our supposedly upgrade-able machines are supposedly now never to be able to be upgrade-able afterall.
Apparently because of hardware problems with the boards, leading to new different boards being made, which is hardly the customer's fault.
