If hoppers contribute to solving blocks faster and are losing shares on long rounds it's durable. Slush wanted to switch to DGM at some point as I remember. Anyway he does it, I'm cool. Super reliable service for the longest time now. I'm guessing he does not sleep much. But I'll shut up b4 somebody will call me a fanboy again. Cheers!

Is something wrong with the way btc is being awarded? I got 0 btc for the last two rounds even though slush's site says I have an average of 2Ghash/sec. Since the max capacity for what I have is 2Ghash, that means they must have been working?

I think you are doing something wrong.

I've actually noticed a bigger difference based on the duration of the round and I'm right around 2ghash. I'll average about .07 on most rounds, but on shorter round, generally under 5 minutes, I'll average around .03.
The only reason I haven't said anything sooner is because this conversation has come up before. And it was generally attributed to pool hoppers.
If the hoppers contributed to the total share of the initial 5 minutes, they increased pool's hashrate thus contributed to the success of finding the block. But where do those hoppers go leaving the pool? solo? I believe the hoppers move to PPS pools

But where do those hoppers go leaving the pool? solo? I believe the hoppers move to PPS pools They move to any pool where the expected value of a share = 1/D at any given point in a round, for example: PPLNS, DGM, SMPPS, PPS. If they don't understand variance or can't accept variance, they'll go PPS and pay the fee or SMPPS and deal with the negative buffer issues later. If they understand variance and can accept it, they'll go with either a DGM they suits their preferences or PPLNS.

A while back I was complaining that my pool payouts would never catch up with the blocks my miners have generated. Well, the ratio looks much better now. 7 blocks to 326 BTC paid out plus Namecoins. Seems I was wrong. Looks like you really just need to keep mining long enough for it to equal out.

Consider the following : I'm at 198 BTC and no block found ^^

Yeah, it is pretty random. But generally over time, it tends to even out.
Im at 4 blocks found and around 240 btc paid out...

Is this the best place to make requests/suggestions to the pool operator? It would be cool to have an option for email notification of a dead miner. Like an adjustable timer for a miner not producing any shares... Also, thanks for doing a great job keeping the pool up and running so consistently.

I'm having odd connection problems. from miners on the the same network some connect fine others never get a response from the pool (tcpdump shows only outbound syn on the wire never anything at all back) using cgminer 2.3.2 on all systems
I've check local packet filter rules (there are none), really seems like the pool decided to hate on most of my IP space though that doesn't really make sense as pulling my account would be simpler and more effective way to punish any crimes on my part so still looking for local causes but it's been about a week since most of my running miners started loosing (and stopped running) and I've got nothing.
I can proxy all the traffic through one of the non cursed hosts but that seems to be choking things. Any guesses as to what rocks I may not have turned over?

Is anyone else having problems with block reword starting from block #174589? Statistics are showing 0 reword for me on 174589 - 174602 - 174611 - 174612 - 174621 and 174626. Could be something from my side but I doubt that, since I monitor the GPU activity on my miners and load didn't drop on any of them over the past 12 hours (meaning they worked/sent something in that time interval).
For me is all ok: all of the blocks have a rewards
