Good luck using server power supplies. They are expensive, and the cabling usually isn't very long.

They also have proprietary connections based on the brand you buy, so you have to do research.

On a side note: I think it's a fucking embarrassment that AMT is saying they are out of power supplies. If they ship any miner without case, PSU, whatever - then a refund should be made to cover the cost of those items.

Your not even a client, and again we banned you from purchasing AMT products. Also didn't you say it was impossible to get 1500 watt supply to power all 5 modules?

I am order #958, the only thing I got so far from AMT is a bad attitude. All the solutions are just a mix match of parts or missing parts. Power supplies and cases no where in sight. The miners don't hash at the advertised speed unless you put them in turbo mode. This is why I am trying to go the refund route. If you try to complain they will rip your head off.

I filed with FTC and they also asked if I was a veteran when I filed and I said yes. I am also going to contact my veterans group to let them know what this wonderful American mining company is doing to me and the other veterans here.

AMT definitely need to ramp up their customer service.

At this point,  they're lack of responsiveness is going to lead to a lot of legal action.

Hey com'n. we started picking up the phone again. Baby steps.

Did you work for the Govt as a civilian was another question they asked, but it did not allow me to check both. I only see this helping everyone because your cases will be grouped with mine.

I noted my service on the FTC complaint as well. I figured it can only help if they are going to try to mediate something.

Though I'm looking at going with the DIY kit to get it quicker, get a milk crate and find a way to mount it in there, do a dual PSU set up and and run an extension cord to get the one psu in another socket on another breaker. Get a fan to pull the heated air and expel it out a window.

I just need to hear back from amt on this.

You don't need to go that far, we're looking into the dual case for kit setup. And again a 1500Watt supply will work for all 5 modules.

I mean at this point we are essentially just hooking up the wiring to the correct places and fashioning a housing of our choosing. Or am I incorrect in assumption?
I mean things looks pretty intact in those pictures so I can put stuff together. It would be nice if there was some site support for the DIY kits where we could do a Q and A if there was an issue.

Yes you would be just hooking up the the pcie cables to the boards. As well as 5v USB cable to the backplane and the motherboard adapter to the mainboard. Instructions will be provided.

Upgrade to a touch-screen... http://www.sainsmart.com/sainsmart-3-2-tft-lcd-display-touch-panel-pcb-adapter-sd-slot-for-arduino-2560.html?___store=en&___store=en&gclid=CNDHk_3Kvr0CFSho7AodaksAEg

Better than the 2-bar LCD display... AMT logo friendly. No custom logo emblem needed ... saves more money. (Ok, not really, but it is cooler! lol.)

ISAWHIM please email Josh@advancedminers.com so we can arrange the stuff for you.

We're also launching limited sales for a 2.4Th/s (100 units total) (April 1st delivery guaranteed ) and 3.0Th/s (50 units Total) (April 15th delivery guaranteed ). We'll update the site shortly but our main goal in the moment is to assemble and ship these 1.2's and get them out the door and reviewed by the community. Sales for both of these lots will be open for a limited time.

That was a good April Fools.

Nothing for April 1st delivery "Guaranteed"

Yes, I am also afraid to get a miner and only want a refund. They said they were giving certain people "the miners that overheat".

You seemed to be turning around there, and being a bit more nice on this thread. We've added you to the kit list as requested despite your claims. Would you like us to remove you from that list or send you're miner, a bit confused here.

Also we have no intentions of delivering bad miners to anyone, despite their behavior. This is a product that our clients ordered and despite our feelings towards those clients it is our obligation to deliver to a working product.

But to be clear. They have openly said miners are causing fires/overheating.  I want a refund more now than ever as I fear for my property and family. It is not only my finances strained but safety.

Wait what? Quote that? what post?

We never said they miners are causing fires or overheating. The miner runs fine and perfectly, sometimes the chips can get a bit hot when running in turbo mode, but thats expected of any miner.

Well that might be true that they said that BUT they did say they disclosed that information to the clients. Keep it in context. Not like they underhandedly sent them that. If so we would certainly know about that already.
this is true. if they openly said you can have a miner in a case, that may or may not set fire to itself, you and your house and you said "ok" its on you not them. plus anyone who has taken the kit option has to provide a psu and or an lcd screen and accept such purchases as part and parcel of the deal. it seems some people on here wish to have the last nay say about amt. i for one after recieving my "kit" will review the power/performance of the unit. it also gives me the option of customizing, i like the idea of the touch lcd posted before and i may also do custom cooling and casing pictures will follow as soon as things arrive.

edit

your tv may cause a fire if left on stand by and your pc/gpu mining rig may also just go up in flames. amd do not accept responsibility or even disclose that the gpu may explode but it could

You guys are making mountains out of hills again. We offered the kit option for 2 reasons alone.

1. We noticed 3 out of 4 clients are removing their miners from the case anyway, either to look at it and or to give it better airflow or what ever. We know that because they are asking questions about reversing the fans, switching the modules, etc etc.

2. Its a faster build and shipment process. It gets people miners faster and gets our shipments over with, and maybe these 18 hour days can turn into 12 hour days.

That's all. Please stop making mountains out of hills.

We would like to get a few more opinions we'd like to get from you guys about what to throw in the kit.

No one wants your outdated, overpriced miners, or your box O parts - build it yourself Miner or any of your excellent customer service.  We just would like our money back.  The money you have spent on the junk you cant assemble right and are asking your customers to do it for you.  IF THERE are any miners in existence anyway.  Not just one or two for you pretty pictures.

rofl... good luck with that one. do you know how many times AMT has literally told me the check was "in the mail"? These guys are conning you. they will string you along until they can finally assemble some shoddy miner with chinese PSU's and faulty chips that will need to be OC'ed to hit advertised speeds and subsequently burn up. DON'T FALL FOR THE RUSE MAN. not once on these boards has AMT ever told the truth.

I challenge you to find me just 1 update or delivery date that was true. this goes or you too zipkin... name one instance you have told the truth.

First:  fan connectors.

Well the preference of the fan connectors for the 8 fan cages.

option 1.

option 2.

option 3.

Heck, why don't we pay you a ton of money, and then build the miners for you...........  OH wait, that IS your suggestion. If you ever get your "build a miner" kit, I would like to know about it.  It is a lie.
