Women are always creating media that is now memorable.In the world of cricket women are now showing a lot of priority and by performing well they are going a long way.But women should be given more importance in the cricket board and they should be given more opportunities.If women are given the same opportunities as men, they will perform better and gain more global recognition.

The good thing is now BCCI taking WIPL seriously, they are about to issue tenders for the media rights etc soon.
Apart from setting up WIPL I'd also like to see if they change venues (Countries, probably SENA -alternate year-) once it gets settled, this would ensure local kids are getting a fair amount of exposure in other conditions too because there is hardly any bilateral cricket available for girls

I think a big reason why the BCCI is actually considering giving WIPL  a chance is that The Indian women have performed really well in recent times.  and with the recent win against England in the ODI, the Indian women have proved that they can perform really well against bigger opponents. So I think it is the right time for BCCI to arrange WIPL and set the tempo for the future of women's cricket.

It did play some part but that wasn't the main reason or at least big one.

IMO if that was the case then these girls should've gotten the WIPL back in 2017, when they reached the 50 overs WC Final. Although they lost but they earned the respect back home due to their campaign and people started talking or following the Indian Women team.

BCCI on the other hand was not even trying to get things done and kept making excuses. One can imagine their attitude that they didn't even hand out their WC prize money in a timely manner. According to me, things started moving fast when PCB expressed its desire to start WPCL and it created a lot of pressure on BCCI.

I believe that back then it was not the right time for women's IPL. The reason I mention this is because women's cricket was not that popular at the time, to be honest.

However, at this point in time, the world has already moved on from the longer formats of the game to the shorter formats. In addition to this, women's cricket has also become increasingly popular over the past few years as well. Recently, there have been some problems in men's cricket as well, and people are actually fed up with the whole thing.

Obviously, if good performance is not enough to convince BCCI to even consider a women's IPL, then I believe a bigger revenue is the number one reason why BCCI is even considering a women's IPL right now.

Yes, women players have progressed a lot. If women players are given more opportunities, then women players can do better. If we observe, we can see that women players are not far behind the male players.  I think the women players are very strong and they will go further. One thing that always bothers me is that the interest from women towards cricket remains very low, at least in the South Asian region. Here in India, I have talked to a lot of my female friends, but hardly anyone seems to be interested in cricket. They mostly watch soap operas and shopping programs on TV. I want this attitude to change. But convincing them to watch sports programs over soap operas and serials will be a tough task. Another issue is with icon players. Harmanpreet and Renuka hasn't yet reached a level comparable to Mary Kom and PV Sindhu.

Financially it doesn't make much sense for the BCCI to host the matches outside India. They will lose massive amounts of gate collection. And the government will also be against the idea, given all the tax revenues and jobs that can be created during the tournament. But one thing is sure for me. Even the BCCI guys will be astounded with the revenues that the WIPL will bring. These oldies are still thinking that women's cricket in India is still stuck in the 1990s. It has moved ahead in lightning speed (even more than the men's game).

If not alternate year then they could do that for like after every 3rd-4th cycle, ofc not in the initial stage. Let's say go locally for the first 3-4 seasons and they start rotating venues after WIPL establishes itself.

On financial issues yeah it won't be profitable but I don't think BCCI atm not looking at profits etc, their goal is to create a self-sustainable model for WIPL. It's a good approach and might take a couple of years.

I am feeling you are too much excited about this WIPL even right now we have no updates or any details about this all just wait and watch because BCCI is never been creative mind peoples mostly they have ill business mind peoples those are living in early 1990s as not doing things which are happening around the world.

And they are surely having full their deep pockets with IPL money and this WIPL is surely having some concerns for them because they are trying to have profit but in India it's going to be first few editions are not giving them any better revenue or profit which is surely the biggest concern right now, but hopefully they will go ahead with their idea, and we will be able to have this WIPL in 2023 in reality not in only news or on espncricinfo site.

I think India Women runs well but their wickets are not good. If they can't hold the wicket now then India Women will be under a lot of pressure. I think India Women will not play very well in this match.  I can imagine that England Women will win this match.  But nothing can be said until the match is over. So we have to wait till the end.

This match is a dead rubber, since India has already won the series. If England manages to win, it will be like a consolation victory for them. Kate Cross looked impressive so far from England, and right now she's having figures of 4-1-8-3. Cross picked up the important wickets of Harmanpreet Kaur, Shafali Verma and Yastika Bhatia. From the other end, Freya Davies is proving to be very expensive. However just now she managed to pick up the wicket of Harleen Deol. India on the backfoot, and are 29/4 after 8.4 overs.

I do agree with you. Indian girls sometimes do show they are lazy in a match but, it doesn't mean anything now. As they have already won the series. If they do lose this match it would mean nothing.

It's 1st ODI series win in England after 2 decades so I feel fans should cut some slack to Indian girls this time, it was an ugly batting collapse but still, everyone should go easy on em.

I am more concerned about 1 individual Shafali Verma, she's a very special talent but seems to be struggling nowadays. Young kid, so I hope the coach will take care of her.

If it was the other gender there would have been a riot with the way India took the last wicket. I placed a bet for England for win the match considering it was a small total to chase and a win here for India means England would be whitewashed for the first time and yet they failed to win the match and i messed up my bet  .

It was a great game while it lasted and i thought England could win the match even with the last wicket standing  .

Finally India Women have made a big win. Winning the series 3-0 against England now makes India to be among the top competing teams. The big credit for winning the match goes to Sharma, without her India scores could've got stopped before 120 runs. Hope India wil have good confidence through this match.

I never expected the Indian side to win after their batting collapsed. 169 was an easy target to chase in an ODI but the Indian bowlers did a commendable job yesterday. On the field there were some brilliant catches by Deol and Goswami. This was Goswami's last ODI as she has retired from the format. The legendary bowler did took a couple of wickets before retiring. Thakur as usual was at her best. Great performance by the girls and a complete whitewash.

I think India Women runs well but their wickets are not good. If they can't hold the wicket now then India Women will be under a lot of pressure. I think India Women will not play very well in this match.  I can imagine that England Women will win this match.  But nothing can be said until the match is over. So we have to wait till the end.

Last week I watched a movie on Indian Women team captain shabash Mithu - the struggle was real and they struggled for themselves and they struggled for their country if it the case then the team has came very far. Good luck to all the woman players who are making difference in the real and the profesional lives.

That movie was a flop, because the lead actress was a very vocal far-left activist. But another movie on Jhulan Goswami will be soon released in Netflix, and it is titled "Chakda ‘Xpress". Anushka Sharma will be starring in this movie (wife of Virat Kohli). When the women players needed the support, Bollywood was mum. And now when they have achieved some success, these guys are rushing to take the credit for it.

Anyway, the Indian team performed exceptionally well in England. After giving a good fight in the T20 series, they managed to whitewash England 3-0 in the ODI series. England opted to go with a younger squad this time, and it didn't worked well for them.
