The problem with the modern world is that institutions and third-party programs always interfere with it. Hikaru had a great game in which he was against Fabiano Caruana on the last game. Though I was really rooting for Fabi to win, it is nice to see other Super GMs winning tournaments other than Magnus.

I guess the answer to this question varies per person on the reason on why they gamble in the first place. Some might answer yes; if their purpose is purely for profit; while others may say no, if their purpose is for entertainment.


I mean, it is fine to have that kind of perspective but this limits the scope on why people gamble in the first place.

For example, lots of celebrities gamble despite them being successful and having boatloads of cash at their disposal. You may ask why- maybe because they like the feeling of the adrenaline kicking, etc.
