1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 29, 2022, 11:52:37 PM
But the biggest reason is probably that its hard to make a skill-based game into something luck based.

Cockfighting is more of a luck-based game though your bird has a high chance of winning if it is well-trained but in the end luck should be on your side most of the time to win.

Is it though?  Huh

One rooster is not the same as another rooster. If anything that is what I imagine to be one of the most exciting parts of the game? To bet on a better rooster? Thats why in real life cockfighting the strong roosters are very prized. If you wish to emulate that experience and offer it as a game on a gambling platform, then you cannot make the digital version luck based. Otherwise it just becomes a simple dice game but with animated roosters...

Not that I am an expert in cockfighting. Far from it, actually.

As someone who grew up with a family that owns a farm full of chickens for cockfighting, it is actually more than just luck-based.

A certain breed of chickens are required in order for them to participate in a fight. If a chicken wins in a match, his whole bloodline of chicks would be trained inside a simulated arena (without their blades, of course) to check their reflexes. I remember my grandfather and father hiring people to train these chickens to improve their flight reach and reflexes in the fight.

Of course, a normal viewer would see it as purely "luck-based" given the number of factors that can turn the tide of the battle. But you can eliminate those "luck-based" factors by training your chickens for the match.
1402  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why everybody is panicking ? Its a game of greed and fear ! on: November 29, 2022, 11:33:12 PM
I think there's a bunch users already create similar topic about "DCA, only invest that you can afford to lose and Bitcoin history"

It seems there's no new discussion and everyone keep repeating the same discussion, almost everyone already know that and it's nothing need to remind everyone. If they're panic, then it's good since we can buy their coins, if they're not panic, we can't buy the dip lol. So I'd thanks for those newbie who panic and then sold their coins for cheap price.

Like what I reply to similar posts like these, you have to understand it from a perspective of a person who owns hundreds to thousands of cryptocurrencies at his disposal. This implies that the slightest movement of its price could mean a gain/loss of thousands of $$$ on his end. That is why, some people do fear the loss and somehow panic whenever there is a significant drop on the price of BTC.

Bearing this in mind, what could be a good strategy to prevent your cryptocurrencies from dropping its price further? Again, always have a contingency plan. Trade only up to a maximum percentage of a certain value and cash them out as quickly as possible if you see a profit. A 3-5% profit is always better than a 3-10% loss.
1403  Economy / Economics / Re: Corrupt people in crypto on: November 29, 2022, 11:19:00 PM
A lot of bad incidences happened in crypto community this year including:

1) FTX
2) Luna
3) Gemini Earn
4) Celcius
5) Voyager
6)BlockFi

All these incidences happened because of the greed of some people. It is important to control the entry of these kind of people as developers or people behind some new crypto projects. Otherwise people will have very less trust left on crypto in general and people will move to other alternatives. What do you think are the required steps to prevent these incidences from occurring in future ? Or are these unavoidable ?

I think that the very nature of cryptocurrencies (they exist on the internet) make it a valuable target for scammers due to its immense price in the market. Even if famous exchanges have their security running, they are always a target of scams and malware from hackers.

Now that there are various data about the reputation of exchanges being hacked, the only way to protect yourself is to be proactive. Take all the necessary steps in order to safeguard your cryptocurrencies in your local wallet in an exchange. For example, instead of keeping your BTCs inside an exchange, transfer them into an external storage/wallet for extra layer of security.
1404  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Satoshi a Russian? on: November 29, 2022, 11:03:26 PM
<snip>
There is no other evidence apart from what I presented above which is not concrete. If I am not correct can somebody explain to me why there are many Russians in the forum?

I mean, if this is the only evidence that you can present to prove that Satoshi is Russian, then I think that you are lacking substantial evidence. Again, the fact that a certain board has more activity compared to other boards is not conclusive of anything, let alone implying that Satoshi might be Russian. Though some factors may still be considered, this fact alone cannot be conclusive to think that Satoshi is even Russian.

Like what previous discussions have mentioned, the pseudonym "Satoshi" can be a group of people or even an organization. No one really knows about his or their identity/identities since he/they clearly left without a trace.
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful where you connect your wallet on: November 29, 2022, 04:53:53 PM
I guess that the bottomline from this post is that, if there are any suspicious links that are being sent anonymously by some random newbie or stranger, avoid clicking it and putting any of your additional details. One of the purpose of this forum is have an extra layer of security when it comes to suspicious links, websites, and/or exchanges. You can literally post the name of a desired exchange/website and ask for feedback if it is genuine or not.

Again, any random and suspicious links being sent by strangers should be avoided at all cost. Like what I always mentioned to similar posts like this, prevention is always better than cure. Avoid putting yourself in a situation where the risk is significantly high.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Australian Government Files Bill To Limit Loot Boxes on: November 29, 2022, 02:46:04 PM
Can age based content ratings like ESRB or R18+ do anything to limit lootboxes in a legitimate capacity? AFAIK they're similar to PG-13 or R ratings for films. The guidelines are very broad and tend to not be enforced. Perhaps it is simply not feasible to do much to regulate lootboxes given current formats and internet protocols?

I doubt that they will completely eliminate minors from participating into games with loot boxes, same as some minors who visit casino websites (and even porn websites lol). But the fact that there is an ongoing bill with their Senate, I guess that this will give some companies the initiative to be more stringent with their games.

Again, while this move will not completely eliminate minors from purchasing loot boxes, this will actually lessen them in doing so. I just hope that the bill comes into fruition and becomes a self-executory law. This kind of move is what most countries should implement and create as well for the safety and well-being of minors.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of Bingo on: November 29, 2022, 01:25:52 PM
Not sure though if there is a casino that listed bingo in their platform.

But here in our country, bingo games is very popular as it is being played when there is like a an event with festivities (fiesta). Yes, another kind of games that is so fun and exciting specially during last games that we call "blackout" wherein you have to marked all the numbers in your cards.

I'm not a fan of this game though to be honest.  Grin

I think I have yet to see a gambling website that offers a bingo game in their platform. Maybe because of its nature being relatively long and tedious, people would get easily bored by it. I think that is also the reason on why majority of the players are old people, as they have the patience to sit and match the numbers on the screen to their paper.

I guess that also explains the history of Bingo. As exciting as it sounds (sarcasm), I do hope that some would revolutionize its way and introduce some improvements to make it enjoyable to all ages.
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin,the bedrock of investors. on: November 29, 2022, 12:40:19 PM
Bitcoin has had so many positive impact on people's life especially investors to the extend that they can't do without it,( investing in it.)So many people today who started from the scratch, investing, have found their way in life, and till tomorrow, they will continue to give an encomium on Bitcoin.

I think this applies to all kinds of investment- investing is more of an instrument in order to somehow reap your profits in a later date. Though this is circumstantial in a way that it differs per investment, investing into cryptocurrencies somehow "accelerates" such process.

Compared to any investment mechanism that is currently available, the volatility of BTC makes it as a perfect short or long-term investment depending on its price. Unlike stocks where you trade only on a specific time-frame within the day, trading in cryptocurrencies happens in a daily basis.
1409  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Profitable and Growing Casino Website for Sale on: November 28, 2022, 11:57:27 PM
Isn't $1.5m is way much too expensive for a $47k in 6 months average revenue or $94k annual revenue? Or let's just round it off and say it is a $100k a year.

For $1.5m the estimated ROI date will be 15 years. Isn't it way too long for having business? I'd bet 3-5 years ROI is considerable for any business.
I hope the amount is bargainable,  because just as earlier said, $1.5million is likely too much for a casino that generates an average annual income of $94k, which is bound to undergo change, to either increase or decrease in the hands of a new ownership, depending on how skillful such individual may be.

I definitely agree with you. The asking price of $1.5m is a little bit too much, though you are free to value your business OP but also consider other factors as well.

Like what this person just mentioned, there are gambling websites that only have a slight margin of profit annually. I doubt that someone would afford to purchase this gambling website as they will just create their own using this capital.

I guess you should at least post the name of the gambling website for people to check on it. Having to contact someone before you release other additional details can somehow be taxing on our part.
1410  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 28, 2022, 11:47:29 PM
If I were to receive such opportunity, then I would definitely choose to become my own boss. Having to be an employee means you are somehow caged in an environment where you are mandated to follow all the rules in the workplace. You are also mandated to observe their work schedule in the company hours, which can mostly be a bane in your life.

Though there may be instances where being an employee can be frustrating, at least the flow of income is consistent and stable. But personally, I would rather work and earn like $600 of income per month than be an employee that earns $1,000 per month.
1411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be vigilant on: November 28, 2022, 05:17:32 PM
<..snip..>

The link above contains a login details that I recieved from a strange person as message. When I first saw it I already understand that it can be a trap from scammers if I should go on to see how true it is, I just had to snub the message because what was sent to me doesn't belong me.

I got scammed before now that's is why I'm able to figure out that the message to me was from scammers.

Yes you are right OP. Anything that a stranger sends to you with a suspicious link and asking for you to input your wallet details is definitely a scam. People should not be messaging you about registering in a certain suspicious link without any further details. If you truly want to double check if what they are offering is true, then better check this forum for feedback about the said link/website.

Like what I also experienced OP, getting scammed makes you more vigilant and careful. It teaches you on how to be resilient and cautious about all the links that are being sent. If you find yourself in a situation contemplating on whether a link is a scam or not, you already know the answer!
1412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 04:47:48 PM
Well, if I were in charged of the head of economics of my country, I would gladly accept and integrate cryptocurrencies to our financials due to its immense potential of growth. Some countries have already started to accept BTC as a means of payment to some services/products in the country.

But if I were tasked to remove cryptocurrencies and prohibit its usage in the country, then implementing laws against its use will do the trick. Imposing a penal sentence would also strengthen the policy against it, thereby removing it entirely from its usage in the country.
1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: November 28, 2022, 04:06:16 PM
We all have a different experience how we started our first bet. Their are people who started bet without having any knowledge concerning it. Their are some people started with a help from a friend to bet and their are some who took their time to learn before they started paying bet.

How was your first start? Did you play blindly or spent some time to learn.?

I will never forget the first time I actually attempted gambling at a very young age.

As you know, my father side has a keen for cockfighting. They used to raise cockfighters in our farm primarily for cockfighting and they would attend tournaments into various arenas for a hefty sum of money. When I was around 13 years old, my father brought me to one of the arenas. Since there were two (2) chickens that will fight to the death, there were people specifically voting for a specific chicken (either A or B).

It was my birthday and my dad somehow convinced me to try and use the money that I received as an attempt to gamble. So before the fight started, I voted for chicken A. On the very first 5-10 seconds, my chicken was winning but suddenly, chicken B was able to slice through the stomach of my chicken, instantly killing him, and that's the story on how I lost my very first gambling game.
1414  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: November 27, 2022, 11:56:03 PM
Halloween is now over. Perhaps some of you participated in tournaments from iGaming providers. Black Friday is next on the list.
As it is no longer associated solely with marketing campaigns of offline and online retailers, bookmakers and casinos actively support the November fever too.
They offer players FS from providers and various promo activities  from the platforms themselves.
Question - are you expecting exclusive promo offerings on the Black Friday?

Definitely! Black Friday is one of those instances where I wait for offering even outside the realm of gambling. It is like, every shop sales less than the current SRP and some gambling establishments offer bonuses/rewards for a minimum top-up to their website. It is definitely recommended to take advantage of these deals especially if you are someone who gambles frequently in this space.

Again, let me remind everyone that these bonuses will work only if you have met the conditions stipulated on their TOS or rules. Also remember that if there are issues with payments, etc., always reach out to their customer service in this forum, if they have any!
1415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: November 27, 2022, 11:09:56 PM
I have been working as a freelancer for years, and I have saved some reasonable sum of money. now knowing the full potential that cryptocurrencies have, I am now confused on what to do if is to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish a business while still working as a freelancer, I don't know the one I should do at moment, if to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish my business.

Why not do the both thing at the same time? I think we have to clear a misconception here as I have noticed, some newbies also asked this question before.

Again, treat cryptocurrencies as a normal investment instrument. You are nowhere compelled to dump all of your lifesavings or funds into investing in this high-risk, high reward system. You can also always enjoy the rewards by also pursuing a different path. Remember that this is an investment- meaning, the proceeds that you will get is due to your diligence and responsibility as an investor to monitor its price.

Lastly, you can always focus on different ventures while maintaining an investment in this field. It doesn't have to be an absolute thing where you are compelled to focus only on one thing at a time.
1416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some government scared of Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2022, 06:41:12 PM

Making Bitcoin a legal tender means when a person goes to purchase a commodity, instead of paying with dollar or whatever currency is being used, they pay with BTC.

Given the unstable nature of cryptocurrencies, and the untraceable nature, would you suggest it wise for countries to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender?

Recently, El Salvador and Central African Republic announced that they have adopted Bitcoin as a legal tender.

It is not about that the government is scared of bitcoin, it is more of that it is something that they have no control over it. Satoshi envisioned a place where people would experience financial freedom- where every transaction is made public and unalterable. That is the reason on why the blockchain technology exist for this purpose.

Now that cryptocurrencies is one of the ways in achieving financial freedom, the government somehow wants to control the transactions under its wing. They see it more of a threat than an actual danger in any case since cryptocurrencies had been used for illegal purposes in the future.
1417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 26, 2022, 11:56:57 PM
This kind of gambling is always fun because these animals fights in the circle of human, have you been involved in this kind of animal gambling or have you watched such game before. Can such game be in the casino?

Oh yes definitely! In fact, my grandfather used to have a farm dedicated in raising cockfighters as he used to participate in competitions in Araneta. Then, his fight would be televised on national television, along with other cockfighters as well. I remember in our farm, we also have this ring in the middle where these chickens would be put to the test and for training. The funny thing is, if my grandfather believes that if a chicken in his match won, then he has all the genes of a fighter. So, he would devote time raising the offspring of such.

When my grandfather passed away, my father took over of the farm and raised some chickens as well for this kind of fight. I used to accompany my dad in tournaments and the betting environment there is notorious and fierce! I will never forget those memories and this kind of gambling, while others argue may be cruel, as it has a special place in my heart.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Crypto Gambling this year? on: November 26, 2022, 11:34:02 PM
A crypto casino or crypto gambling refers to using your cryptocurrency at a casino. In crypto gambling, digital money, such as cryptocurrency, is used as a betting medium. You can use cryptocurrencies to deposit money into your gambling account and to withdraw money in cryptocurrencies.

Top Five Cryptocurrency  Gambling site for this year according to Men's Journal
1. BitStarz

2. mBitCasino

3. CloudBet

4. 7bit Casino

5. Fortune Jack

What do you think the best gambling site ? Let's talk about it

Exclusive from the list that you provided, I would put Fortune Jack above anything else on that list. The edge that this gambling website has over its competitors is an active signature campaign that implies that they plan to move forward in the coming years. The fact that they can allocate such fund to a prestigious and luxury advertising speaks a lot about their profit on their end.

Another thing, Fortune Jack has been around for years now. They have established themselves as one of the most trusted crypto gambling website among its competitors. If you have any problem with your transactions, you can always reach out to this forum and ask their representatives.

1420  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you bet ESports or table tennis? If so, this is a must read. on: November 22, 2022, 11:48:19 PM
Winning cannot be guaranteed in any case. I have a simple question here, if you can ensure the winning of 9.999999999%, why aren't you doing it yourself? Why aren't you using your picK?
He is too shy to add that missing 0.1 percent and make it 100 but if only he did that then many people are going to be interested because they think it was a sure win already but in 9.999 win chance, there is still a chance that we can lose our bet.

This is my first time seeing a win rate like this but what I only saw in the past is 98 percent on dice and other casino games. This looks high already but losing can still come often. That is how risky online gambling was. House always have the advantage over the player. Op can't do it himself because he said he is restricted but even if not, there is still no way that he can make a guaranteed profit.

Nah, like what I previously mentioned, this is a scheme employed by OP in order to attract users into some shenanigans. Probably he would ask you to visit a certain link and input your wallet + private key, ultimately scamming you in the process.

Again, if there exists a method that wins you games 99.99% of the time, then why bother to create a thread and start a discussion where you could potentially be earning millions in this process? There is absolutely no way can a person win 99.99% of the time with some trickery or technique. It is just impossible to imagine and again if you have such power, then you wouldn't wasting any time telling or teaching this to people.
