1601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gacha Game on: September 25, 2022, 02:24:44 AM
Anyone here played games like FGO, Epic Seven, or Summoners War before? Do you consider it to be some kind of gambling addiction if a player whales or spend tons of money in the game just to get a certain item?

For those who don't know, a gacha game is a genre of video game where players pull, spin, or roll using an in-game currency to receive a random item. That item can be something that could make their characters stronger or sometimes it's just some limited skin which has no effect other than to make their characters look cooler.

I have been playing Summoners War for seven (7) years now and I have heard countless of stories where people spend a minimum of $1,000 without getting anything that is useful. In addition, there are tons of videos on YouTube where people spend thousands of dollars in the game without getting as much.

I do recommend that people browse through their reddit page as there are tons of whales in this game where they have their nightmares and stories about spending money.

At least, Epic Seven as a pity counter where it guarantees you to get the monster after summoning 120 times. Unlike in Summoners War, there exists no pity counter.
1602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All I need to teach my employees about Bitcoin on: September 24, 2022, 11:57:11 PM
Good Day fellow Bitcoiners  Kiss.
I am an entrepreneur and also a Bitcoiner, I have two business which am running and in this two businessI accept Bitcoin as a means of payment . I am using Exodus wallet to receive payment.
When ever a customer desires to pay in Bitcoin/crypto in my absence, I am usually contacted by my employees. I have explained some few details on how to receive payment from customers in crypto but I think they still find that means of payment as not being convincing, so I want to take out time to teach them  Bitcoin, advantage, users, how to receive and how to send Bitcoin. I want to give them a full knowledge about Bitcoin. My request from this forum is to give me more hints on other things I must lecture them on concerning 😟 Bitcoin and how to receive payment from customers.

Thanks, Detritus.

Like what was previously posted, these types of movements are what drive the motivation of others to influence them in applying BTC to payment methods.

It can be challenging if you are teaching the fundamentals of BTC to your employees especially if they seem to ignore you, which I hope is not the case. I also do hope that you teach them the basics of BTC, and not just the routinary work of accepting payment, etc. I seriously hope that people would also consider that implementing a crypto payment option will definitely boost its reputation slowly in the market!
1603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Today I become a Satoshi millionaire on: September 24, 2022, 01:42:39 PM
I am super excited to have become a Satoshi millionaire today and am going to hold on to this and also accumulate more subsequently.
It is advicable to keep any future accumulations private. How much BTC you own is not something you publicly announce here on the forum, or anywhere else, especially to people who know you personally.

Another advice would be storage methods. Since you're on the forum, you'll probably know the most recommended wallet softwares are electrum and Bitcoin core. For higher amounts of Bitcoin, it would be wise to invest in a hardware wallet.

I agree with your statement and OP, please heed to his advice.

While it is definitely inspiring to share your achievements in the forum, keep the disclosure to a minimum level where you will not indicate the exact amount of BTCs you currently have. Somehow, you are putting yourself in a situation where scammers will target you, thus privately messaging you and bugging with free giveaways.

If you are not too careful, you might succumb to their ways therefore losing all your progress. OP, congratulations for reaching this milestone that only a few will reach. Again, heed to the advice of Upgrade00 and good luck!
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money do you leave in crypto casino? on: September 24, 2022, 01:29:59 PM
Since most of the crypto casino nowadays offers free withdrawal fee on most of the cryptocurrency sometimes immediate withdrawal after the game is very convenient now but for players like me that usually play on irregular basis, I really want to leave my balance on the casino so that I can play immediately whenever I like.

I only leave money on casino balance if it’s less than 1000$ or less but this is only applicable on casino that I used for more than a year.

What about you guys? Do you leave your balance in your casino balance or you withdraw immediately regardless of the reputation of the casino?

Based from my experience, the proceeds of my campaign signature was deposited in their gambling website and I usually withdraw them after getting 2-3 weeks of pay. The reason is for saving some BTCs due to transaction costs and for entertainment. If I truly want to support my campaign signature, there is this obligation that you have to at least try their gambling services since I advertised them in this forum.

Generally, however, you should not leave some large amounts of BTCs in a gambling website due to the nature of their security.

We are full again.

Oops my bad! I copy pasted this on the history of my comment section (afaik around page 7 of my history of replies and I mistakenly used another person's profile link as reference to which i copy pasted on the application thread to save time for the format) and I was using my mobile phone at that time! Will edit it out as soon as possible!

1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go home with a profit and come back to end up losing a lot. on: September 24, 2022, 12:59:20 PM
A friend of mine works in a casino (land-based) and he told me yesterday that there was a client who with a stroke of luck won a good amount, about $8k. He exchanged the chips for cash and went home. After about half an hour, my friend sees him walk back in the door and went on a gambling binge all the night, only to end up losing his winnings and more.

At the end of the session he signed the self-exclusion.

If it weren't for the fact that this person is going through a drama, the story would make you want to laugh.

Has this ever happened to you or do you know of cases like this?

This is something that I have been mentioning whenever people ask for information about this kind of circumstance- I call it the cycle of gambling.

Whenever a person gambles, the goal is always to win but our instinct is to fight back. Whenever we experience a loss, we have this feeling that we want to recover our losses by betting again. This cycle happens until the person runs out of resources; or decides to go home and celebrate. Unfortunately in this case, the person was not contented enough and decided to try out his luck, only to end up losing everything.

I remember my brother also experienced this situation. He told me to specifically stop him if we won at least twice. He won thrice that night but when I tried to stop him, he decided to gamble it again only to lose his monthly savings.

1610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 19, 2022, 05:42:22 PM
In my country, online gambling began to spread to a wider user because of the games that were originally developed not for gambling, but user used this app as places to gamble.
online gambling are threading gambling everywhere but the thing is that nobody is trying to play a manual gambling this present time, in the most of the countries they playing gambling seriously and i believe that gambling now is being Best online and no country who is lover of gambling that has not turn up in online gambling.

The problem with online gambling is that you can cloak it and integrate it into different platforms. For example, a well-known game may implement crate boxes that are in a form of gambling where young people get exposed too quickly from it. From this alone, this creates an impression where the younger generation will participate in an online gambling within their game.

I just hope that the government may somehow intervene and find the boundary between earning profits and preserving the integrity and character of the younger generation. Let's face it- gambling is highly addictive where it can attract all users of any age.

I think by basing it on your name, I assume that you are Filipino? I would like to give my congratulations for you for taking the next step in introducing BTC to your fellow kabayans! I have a question, so how was their reaction? Was the teaching method gave some enlightenment to your students? Were they also attentive and willing to listen on this innovative feature?

I seriously hope that they join this forum as they will also learn at least almost every thing under the sun about cryptocurrencies. While it may be confusing at first, at least they got a head start from your discussion. Congratulations, kabayan!
1612  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning From Trading Without Any Professional Knowledge on: September 19, 2022, 04:56:10 PM
I do want to know if it's possible for a starter to gainfully earn from Crypto trading without having to go through a professional training.

Of course it is possible but expect to be less efficient and confused at the beginning.

Before delving to the topic, I do suggest that you check tutorials on YouTube or on any website. There are tons of free topics, videos, and tutorials that will at least explain to you the fundamentals of trading so you will not have a difficult time.

Going on the topic, it is indeed possible to earn from trading without any professional knowledge but you can compare it by going to war without knowing how to fire a gun. Yes, there is that possibility of you injuring someone but it would be harder for you to do it without any proper training and experience.

1613  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 🔴 Top 5 Scams That Will Make You Lose Money After The Merge- Be aware Newbies on: September 19, 2022, 03:53:27 PM
If there is one thing that I learned over the past five (5) years of my stay in this forum, it is that nothing is literally free. Every thing has something in return where either it wastes your time, money, or the offers are absolutely a sham and/or a scam.

It is noteworthy to mention that people should maximize their observation skills whenever they see free giveaways. Oh, someone randomly added you on Telegram, or someone sent you a mysterious link asking for something, or it led you in a website where you had to input your wallet, etc. Those are just some of the red flags that should trigger you in avoiding these scams.

Lastly, always have doubt to every link or random message that you receive. Again, prevention is always better than cure.
1614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Well! Bitcoin doesn't have this problem on: September 19, 2022, 03:25:22 PM
As I looking at some news today, I saw this one that has the same problem with the other banks all around the world where they sometimes restrict you to get your own money and they ask you for some valid reason which not all people needed to do because first of all, it is his/her money. Some people are forced to do this stuff when if only she had bitcoins, she wouldn't have put her life in danger or anyone else. she could just withdraw wherever she wants.

For how long should people understand the importance to have bitcoins for emergencies such as this one?

First of all, the Fiat money is the property of central banks of their respective governments so its not your money. And banks has to follow such regulations because if everyone wants to withdraw their money from bank there will be actually no money for everyone to withdraw and the question raised is what actually make sense. Why we need to trust the paper issued by banks to have value and we have to follow lot of procedures to handle our money?

But as of sudden bitcoin can't change everything, first of all the payment infrastructure is needed then only we can pay by bitcoins or any other cryptos.

The deposit that we do in banks is a special type of deposit where the former has to respect their obligations. This is what we call a 'fiduciary relationship' where the banks must honor their obligation of giving back the money that you just deposited because that is your property. You trust the bank for safekeeping and the bank will have this obligation that they have to fulfill immediately.

That is the problem of banks- sometimes regulations from the main branches may halt your deposit for some reason. That is why BTC was created in order to experience financial freedom where no one has control over your money.
1615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus Abuse: Who is to Blame? on: September 19, 2022, 03:07:46 PM
So assuming there is no flawless security system, then the bonus abusers are the only ones to blame on the eventual losses of casinos, but i also believe that before offering very appealing bonuses to new players those platforms should be aware of the potential weaknesses their systems may have, study the losses they could suffer in order to adjust the terms and conditions before launching a bonus campaign, at least this way they may know what to expect in terms of loss/benefit ratio.

Even though this marketing strategy ends up being profitable and it is a success for casinos to attract new gamblers that does not mean the search for better ways to decrease bonus abuse should stop.

Yes I am thinking sometimes that they are already knew it or they are also aware of it, they just let it slide so that many people will create account in their website and will give them larger traffic like the way they are planning, but they also know how much losses it will come back to them, so it means they already have the estimated amount of it, I think right now there's no one to blame with.

I think this somehow favours the gambling website despite the "bonus abuse" thad had been going around.

Generally, a player would be able to receive the bonus after topping-up a certain amount of $$$ and actually winning a gambling game. Though this bonus can be abused by creating multiple accounts in order to work, it still involves the element of attempting to play the game in which the result may go sideways. Either the player wins and receives the bonus; or the online gambling website wins and retains the cash.

It just so happened that there are players who have tons of $$$ at their disposal to the point that they can abuse and win money that is beyond their initial investment.
1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an electronic currency, can it be use for bet gambling on: September 19, 2022, 01:57:21 PM
As an electronic currency, I will like to know if bitcoin can be use in sport betting, apart from using your local currency, can I found my sport bet account using bitcoin.
That's the easiest to do, all casinos listed in the gambling section use Bitcoin, if you're a big bettor and you want to compile a list then go check the top casinos like Duelbits, Betcoin.ag, Stake.com I may be biased but do look for casinos that have established their reputation here, no legit complaint with an ongoing campaign, don't just sign up without taking a day or two to check the strong points and the weak points of casinos that you want to play, every casinos somehow have difference, you will feel at home on some casinos.

As far as I know, the emergency of electronic gambling has provided all means and currencies available in order for the person the bet. They made it so convenient that they even accept cryptocurrencies as one of their alternative payments.

The fact that there are also cryptocurrencies who focus on betting on the latter which also provides payout in cryptocurrencies mean that BTC has evolved as a means of payment not only for services or products, but also for recreational activities such as gambling.
1617  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: September 18, 2022, 10:44:21 PM
Unfortunately, not everything can be started at a later age. Practicing a particular sport or learning a complex musical instrument is not an easy task, even for those at a young age.
In addition to the people mentioned in the list, there are many who have succeeded in achieving great achievements at an advanced age. I can mention the Messenger of Islam “Muhammad” who started his call to a new religion after he was over forty and succeeded in establishing a new religion that is believed by hundreds of millions around the world today (the third most prevalent religion today).
Age is not an obstacle to learning something new. The important thing is that the person has the necessary mental capabilities .

With age comes that inevitable of depreciation in all sorts of mental and physical health. While there may be people who achieved success as they aged, there are far more people who have achieved the same result but in a younger age! Though the point of this thread was to encourage everyone that success is relative, everyone should always have that goal and aim to strive for the better.

In associating it with cryptocurrency, we will never know when its price may actually skyrocket again due to its unpredictable nature. But what matters is that we are already have the investment and we believe that its price would increase in the future.
1618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 18, 2022, 10:35:57 PM
it took 12 rounds and a decision to defeat GGG. seem not a real fight to me actually. canelo seem very careful in getting too close to fight toe to toe. no highlight that really inflicts damage. its either that or he makes sure the crowd will enjoy a 12 round fight for the independence day celebration. anyone see it like this is an exhibition fight?

GGG is also too cautious making him lose rounds.  There are opportunities where GGG can land solid punches but being too cautious making him miss those opportunities.   The fight is like wait and counter making jobs a more effective way to score.  GGG throws jobs but most of them got deflected or blocked by Canelo's defense, while Canelos land more punches by sneaking body shot, hooks and uppercut.  Canelo somehow stole rounds by landing combinations impressing the judges.

It is indeed a close fight but the result says it.  Canelo wins the fight but it was too close, IMO.

I do agree with your statements.

The fight overall was somehow not explosive as I thought it would be but still enjoyable. There were lots of opportunities on both players where they could take risks and go for the blow but the fight was cautious one for both. Maybe they were not taking too much risks since they were chasing for points in the round. But again, that iron chin of GGG cannot KOed.

Though that might be the case, I am quite thrilled that we see an ending to this exceptional trilogy- where Canelo stood to the top!
1619  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: September 18, 2022, 09:43:58 PM

Yes, most likely bear market parin tayo this year, katulad na katulad ng nangyari nung 2018.

If I remember it correctly, noong 2018 din yung year na nag ATH ang BTC for around p900,000 pero nag crash ito after a few weeks and months. Naalala ko talaga yun kasi nasa MRT ako and yung narereceive ko na 0.005 BTC/weekly (p1700 coverted) sa campaign signatures, nagulat ako biglang naging p5.5k dahil doon sa pag taas ng price ng BTC.

Since bear market talaga ngayon, I really recommend din na kung may sobra kayong pera, bumili and HODL ito for long term. Pag nag halving na, for sure tataas nanaman presyo ng BTC and maalala natin yun mga oras na dapat nag invest tayo.
1620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 18, 2022, 03:36:02 PM
Only fools who will buy cause some rich guys recommended it. Some are jumping without making any reseaerches on such project on crypto and when their investment fluke then will blame and says its a scam. They should go first and read some very important terms such as risky, investment, gains and losses. To udnerstand that investment isnt an easy money and learning to accept losses and avoid selling at a loss is a very innate skill one should adopt.

Just like any other investment, a person joining in this cryptocurrency journey has the duty to do their research about it.

Most people have this misconception towards cryptocurrencies where they see this as an "easy investment" that would make them millionaires in a relatively amount of time. I mean, if that were the case, then I think most people would probably be rich by now.

Investing is an art where it requires all the skill and understanding the technicalities behind it. It just so happened that the medium of investment here is an instrument where its value is highly volatile- that is why people should do their respective research before investing.
