1361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the Whales Control bitcoin price? on: December 13, 2022, 08:21:17 PM
we all know no one can controls the bitcoin price because bitcoin isn't like bank, stock and valas. but if the whales owned 51% of bitcoin, can do it?. if happen, does decentralization not exist?

Given the amount of BTC in circulation and the ones left to be mined, the whales can definitely shift the price of BTC in the market. But remember that the impact that they can do is not as huge as you think compared to stocks. While whales may have majority of the BTCs in circulation, their overall effect is relatively small due to the remaining BTCs left to be mined out.

I guess if a whale has majority of the BTCs after every BTC has been mined out by the year 2078, then a whale can control and manipulate the price. But as per controlling the market, I doubt that they have much BTCs to the point that they can perfectly and absolutely control the market at their will.
1362  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone posted here about our Project then sabotage us to give him money on: December 13, 2022, 07:55:31 PM
This whole situation shows only how toxic this space can be.
You can't say that the whole space is toxic because you had bad experience with one member from bitcointalk forum.
There are a lot of people who are trying to scam people, or they are just trying to earn few sats in any way possible, and when they can get very angry if they don't get what they want.
My suggestion is to always check post history of any member in forum and think well before making some deal with anyone, no matter what his rank is.
I am going to tag member gondel and I hope to see his explanation here.

I have a question though- what could be the appropriate sanctions for a person intentionally spreading libelous and unfounded claims against a project? Clearly, there has some sort of damage that OP incurred due to the spread of malicious words/statements that affected the general feedback of his project.

Is there some sort of remedy that OP could have exercised and gained from this experience? Is negatively-tagging the person the only solution that can pacify this situation? I am really curious since I hate for this to happen to anyone who genuinely shares an interesting idea, only to get destroyed by a single person spreading lies about it.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: December 13, 2022, 07:40:11 PM
<..snip..>
Do you have this kind of casino?

While having a lucky casino is purely subjective and based on your own belief, I actually have a loyal game where I gamble most of the time regardless of the benefits being offered at different casinos. I am somehow guilty with this- I consider a certain betting website for CSGO skins have a better chance of winning compared to other CSGO weapon gambling sites available.

Other than being loyal, I guess it somehow boils down to one's preference over the website. There are several factors (e.g. overall aesthetic of the website, the convenience, the design, etc.) that may compel a person to remain loyal at a certain website despite its obvious flaws. But to answer your question, yes, I do have this loyalty catered to a specific gambling website.
1364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 13, 2022, 07:25:20 PM
Control your emotion, believe me, emotion is your biggest number one enemy. Especially the fear and greed know how to stop loss and know how to take profit.

This is the single and greatest advice that anyone must have- control your emotions and consider the market as something that is natural. Remember that cryptocurrencies are the most volatile currency- they change their prices at any given time, as compared to stocks where there is only as definite time where people can trade.

Though this may be the case, it is relatively difficult to take hold of one's emotions especially if that person trades or has hundreds to millions of dollars worth of BTC in their wallet. Like the slightest increase/decrease on the price could imply a loss/gain of thousands of dollars on their end. While that may be the case, it is important to consider that on top of having courage and control over your emotions, a proper construction of a contingency plan is essential.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: December 13, 2022, 07:12:49 PM
I have always come across people giving stories to promote bitcoin or give awareness of bitcoin in rural areas. It is a very nice job to tell people about bitcoin because it is the major currency in the world.  In this rural area how can bitcoin be used when majority of people in the the town are battling with poverty,  and how can bitcoin be used when majority don't have access to Internet.  I think people in rural area needs to be financially stable first before knowing bitcoin.

I understand your point and I guess this is one of those limitations that cryptocurrencies have to suffer. The existence of the latter entirely depends on an electronic device/technology in which everyone does not have the privilege to own one. But I guess you can liken this in dreaming your favorite thing- you dreamt of having a beautiful house, so you aim to earn money and buy it.

The same concept applies in BTC- when a person aims to earn such, then that determination will fuel his urge to purchase at least a mobile device in order to transact and use BTC. But then again, it is more than just usage since the real effect is the awareness that people discover when they found out about the existence of BTC.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using Bonus Buy or Not Using Bonus Buy? on: December 13, 2022, 06:55:19 PM
I have often played slot games at some trusted casinos these past few days. While playing, I often buy Bonus Buys and I do that in many slot games.

Which is the most profitable or generates the most profit between buying a Bonus Buy or playing normally without buying a Bonus Buy?

This made me curious because I tried it in several games such as Gate of Olympus, Mental, Fire in the Hole, Sword of Ares, Land of Zenith and others. And I see that buying Bonus Buy is more profitable. Is it really like that? What slot games often allow you to win more money by using Bonus Buy?

Note: Buying Bonus Buy allows us to win more money, while playing normally does not guarantee we can win some money.

Bonus buy doesn't guarantee a win either so you're paying more to get more rewards in case if you win that is how it works. Generally I used to play normally cause I am not someone who spend much on casinos but have a habit of watching steamers who usually buy bonus pack and win big but they are mostly sponsored by the casino itself and for me its a kind of promoting and another way to make money.

Actually, purchasing a bonus buy is also a risk in itself- the rewards will reap on the condition that you WIN. Regardless of it, you must still win in order to maximize the bonus buys you bought at a certain casino. If you are someone who often gambles on a daily basis, then getting a bonus buy would be more beneficial. But if you are someone who gambles intermittently, then a bonus buy may not be worth it at your current situation.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to luck and preference. A person may be able to maximize his/her bonus buy in a day; but this entails that you have to consistently gamble to maximize it.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 2023 on: December 13, 2022, 06:28:31 PM
Hi folks and friends,

This is a quick question... do you think the bitocoin price will continue falling during the 2023, or we are actually seeing the bottom price? can you see bitcoin at $5,000 during 2023? $10,000 perhaps?

Thank you a lot, trying to make the right desitions...

Kind regards;
Chris

Hmm it actually depends since the price of BTC nowadays has been consistent on the $17,000 but we will never know! The fact that 2021 gave us the year where the price peaked at $60,000, it somehow implies that the price of BTC can skyrocket once again. Unsure of the scenario, the better move to do is to purchase BTC and HODL them for long-term.

In all honesty, I do recommend to HODL since the next BTC halving will happen in the year 2024. Expect that when that year comes, the price of BTC will skyrocket, thereby profiting within 1-2 years from now.
1368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For them it's always about the money on: December 13, 2022, 06:20:56 PM
It is most likely that these YouTubers have a stake on that certain coin. With the amount of influence and subscribers they have, the obvious outcome is that certain coin would definitely pump. Once the price increases at a certain level, these people now will suddenly sell all of their coins diluting the market, thereby creating this so called pump-and-dump scheme.

Again, like what your thread title mentioned, it is all about money. People are taking advantage of their assets nowadays to earn the most profit they could get. That is why, be cautious and be careful on the altcoins you invest on. Make sure to get your influence from the knowledge of the market, not because some YouTuber said to invest on it.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 13, 2022, 06:10:33 PM
If you have a look at the scam accusation section, you will find that no casino has a good reputation there. Each and every casino which has their ANN thread here, has at least one complaint against them; sometimes confiscated funds, delayed withdrawal, not paying the winning, freezing account etc. Why this is the principal of all the casinos? Why they can't operate without having any issues? They always do this shit; who knows what has been done with people who don't know how to deal with such a casino. Can you show me a thread that never had any reputation issues on this forum?

Be reminded that handling a casino can be a double-edged sword- expect lots of complaints and allegations against them. Since what is involved is money, it is nothing but natural for people to complain against a certain casino. But the determining factor is the amount of evidence a person has against a certain casino.

Every casino will always have that one person who incurred delays on payments, etc. as nothing is absolutely perfect. Even the most trusted cryptocurrency casino had already faced a similar issue- but the difference would be on the amount of evidence a certain person has against a gambling website.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why still keep the money on phone? on: December 13, 2022, 05:42:53 PM
Android is one the biggest operating system used by people in the world. Many hacker and cheater try a million way to hack that OS from user to steal his money, many hacker have succeeded and many user lost his money in the wallet.

if vulnerable why people still keep his bitcoin on wallet phone?, are they rich? Why they give his bitcoin to the hacker?

The answer is quite plain and simple: it is because of convenience.

You pretty much answered the question by yourself- android is indeed one of the biggest operating system in the world as it is used by majority of the population. Bearing this in mind, lots of applications try to create wallets that are compatible with their mobile devices taking advantage of the users who use android.

I am actually guilty of this since my BTCs are still stored inside a local exchange application on my wallet. Though I am looking forward in purchasing a hardware wallet to increase maximum safety of my coins.

Binance
My first coin ar/usdt tp target: moon

Thnx Smiley

Before you ask anyone to join your group, do you have any existing platforms where you can showcase your previous deals and trades? Again, not to discount or to disregard your efforts but a person would be hesitant to join some random group due to the influx of scams happening in the forum.

If you have some details about your trades, then share them hear. Instead of actually creating a group, create a thread and discuss the price and indicators therein. Again, I doubt that some would actually join a random group without providing any further details.
1372  Other / Off-topic / Re: Team USA will play in the Philippines for the FIBA WORLD CUP 2023 on: December 13, 2022, 03:27:52 PM
In the history of the basketball field in the Philippines, this is the first time that Gilas will be able to compete against team USA, I am sure that its arena will be full in the year 2023. Many people will likely bet here on which team will win.

But also make sure that the tickets will be very expensive for those who watch here. If you look at it from another angle, the USA going to the Philippines seems like this team will make a lot of money for the Filipinos. Although, it looks like it's worth it anyway because it's the first time it's going to happen. I'm just not sure if this will be the ticket price for those who want to watch this game.

The ticket is quite expensive but its an opportunity of a lifetime to see your favorite NBA player the team Gilas will be tested and they will level up their games because they are up against the best players on this planet, honestly, Team Gilas has no chance to get into the finals but just landed in the top 5 is already good, the highest position that the Philippine achieved was 3rd place and its been 70 years.

To be honest, I think that the price of the tickers are reasonable enough for you to witness the greatest NBA team in the world. It is already considered rare to see your favorite NBA players compete with some of the best. But in this case, you get to see all of the allstars combined playing in one night. Again, this is an opportunity of a lifetime where I would definitely purchase a ticket to watch it. I just hope that they do not further increase the price and they release it with available stocks.

In reality, however, I would be able to purchase the cheapest ticket as $400 for the next ticket is way too high for my budget as a student.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: turned gambler after investing in BTC or investor turned gambler? on: December 13, 2022, 02:39:39 PM
Which one has a high possibility of happening, a gamer eventually becomes a gambler or an investor turns into a gambler?
But first, answer the poll which are you. Are you a gambler that become an investor or an investor that turned into a gambler?

The first scenario is more likely to happen.

Remember that gambling websites have been advertised continuously in the internet. Given that the son also plays video games, it is inevitable that he will encounter some crates while he is playing. While these "crates" are not gambling in a cryptocurrency sense, it is pretty much an introduction to gambling especially if he spends money on it.

I am actually a gambler that became an investor. But before I became a gambler, I was an avid gamer and my first experience with crates is when Dota 2 introduced their crate-key system which turned me into a gambler.
1374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Making post for merit on: December 12, 2022, 04:15:11 PM
<..snip..>

CONCLUSION: Don't search for merit, let merit come for you through your meaningful post. Never make post because you want to get merit but because you want to help others and the community through your post.

Like what I previously mentioned to posts similar as this, when you align your goals to focusing your overall contribution, merits would be the one chasing your posts and not the other way around. I see that most newbies struggle to earn their first merit but you can attribute the fault on their part.

Again, re-align your goals and focus on overall contribution in this forum. The more meaningful and knowledgeable your comments are, the more chances that you will garner that merit/s from various users.

If you truly want to earn some merits, I do recommend looking for scams and reporting them under the Scam Accusation board as you are helping in cleaning this forum out of any fake wallets, etc.
1375  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: December 12, 2022, 12:01:17 PM
Now you have $100,000 in your account, pure savings, and you don't need this amount of money to cover your daily expenses. Obviously it's good/free money to use at will. Let's say if you deposit the money into a bank and the annual interst rate is 3%, you will get a steady interest income year by year. If you use this money to buy Bitcoin, let's say the BTC drops to $17,000, you'll buy less than 6 Bitcoins. In the long run, what would you do with this money ? And why ?

If I have that amount of "free money" where I can completely dispose of it without worrying too much, I would definitely diversify my investments and allocate it to different investment mechanisms available.

For example, I would allocate around $5000 worth of BTC and HODL them for long-term; deposit around $30,000 inside the bank for interests; and invest the other in altcoins and other instruments. The key here would be to diversify and allocate them into different baskets in order to at least give some protection and security on its price. If you invest all of your eggs in one basket, then expect it to fail at some point.
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bloody Year 2022 coming to End on: December 12, 2022, 02:40:11 AM
Well, that's the good thing about this year and it's about to end and we'll just leave all of those fiascos for this year.

But I doubt it that they're the last ones that we'll see, there will be for more and that is just teaching that we should be more careful where we keep our funds.

Overall the lessons are just the same on how we're going to keep it.

I just hope that the year 2023 would be a positive year for cryptocurrencies. The more that it is becoming popular around the globe, the more scams and hacks were being attempted in the last several months. I guess we should take advantage while the price is this low- the fact that it reached a peaked $60,000 means that there is the potential of it recovering again at that price.

With all being said, I guess the smartest move to make is to HODL for the meantime and sell at a convenient price. Praying that 2023 blesses everyone with good fortune and returns all around!
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks do not want bitcoin to become popular on: December 11, 2022, 05:54:44 PM
Tell us something we don't know!

It's an well established truth that banks don't like bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies. Because cryptocurrency system has the power to directly challenge bank's dominance. So it's no wonder that banks do not like it in any shape or form.

Warren Buffet, Jemie Dimon and many other central banks have always raised their voice against cryptocurrency and it will continue to happen! We just need to ignore such things!

This is true- banks want their clients to keep and store their resources inside their institutions for their own profit/gain. While there may be some offers of interest rates and returns, some people are now becoming more aware of the existence of cryptocurrencies and the way it can change and alter the usage of banks.

But in all honesty, cryptocurrency and banks can co-exist with each other. They do not have to be so against to the point that they will make each other obsolete- maximize each usage and choose the most convenient method in a given circumstance.
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 11, 2022, 11:44:58 AM
Agree, no need to fight competitive boxing for Pacman at this stage even he perform well today and knocked out DK Yoo because the latter is not of the same level with Spence or Crawford. It would be very dangerous for him but i think it is just one of the ways to hype the fight and sell it to the public.

I'm looking at the betting site two days ago if this fight is available but unfortunately my favorite bookies didn't cover this one.
As expected, Manny won via unanimous decision though the fights is quiet not that exciting since you already know what will happen here. Its for the sake of money of course and as long as there’s a viewers that still want Manny to fight, then we might expect another match up like this. Manny have to think again because this could be very dangerous for his health, his already rich I’m wondering why there’s still need to fight. Anyway, congratulations to Manny and to those who are able to place a bet.

Yeah, I didn't place any bet, because this is just an exhibition match. Manny just toyed with DK Yoo throughout the fight and the referee protecting DK as well with that knockout down. DK looks gas out in the 4th round while Manny still has something in his tank but nowhere near his peak obviously as he is also breathing heavy after that round.

Anyway, he still has one scheduled for next year in the Middle East so this is just a test match for Manny.

As an exhibition match, expect that the rules are somehow lenient; even the referee tried to help DK Yoo in deciding that his falls were just a mere "slip." But again. these exhibition matches somehow prove that the stamina and tenacity of Pacquiao on the ring. Like what I also previously mentioned, it is definitely a privilege for me to witness Manny fight on the ring again regardless of it is a real match or exhibition.

Anyway, I enjoyed the fight and I should have betted when I had the chance. Still, congratulations for Pacquiao in winning the fight via unanimous decision! I hope this gives him the confidence in his body to fight more before he ends his career.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever tried Anti Martingale Strategy? on: December 11, 2022, 07:42:40 AM
In martingale, a gambler increases the bet size to double in the hope to recover the loss from the previous bet. I have tried it a few times & to be honest with you, I have never had a good return on my bets; I have lost most of the time.
On the other hand, the Anti martingale strategy is- to double the bet size when you are winning & halving the bet size when you are losing. In such a condition, when you are winning; you are doubling the size & you will lose from your winning. WEell, this strategy is more risky I guess though some have told it as less risky than martingale.
Have you ever tried ti? What's your opinion? Which one is more risky; Martingale or Anti Martingale?

I do think that this strategy is riskier given the initial bet which is to double it. Assuming that you lost, you will also half your bet from your initial bet in which it does not nullify your previous loss from your first bet. The purpose on why the Martingale strategy is recommended is due to its nature being able to recover your loss in one entire bet and luck. Of course, its only limitation is needing a huge capital/resources in order to at least win.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to your luck. If you feel like you are lucky and the odds are with you, do the anti-martingale strategy. But if you are experiencing some losses where you would want to recover them quickly, do the martingale strategy.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 10, 2022, 11:54:41 PM
Ok, suddenly the casino you're playing asks you for proof of income to be able to withdraw your winnings and to keep your account in good standing, your bankroll every month is $500 and you provide proof of salary that you are making $500 net every month, will they accept that proof will they accept that you are putting all your salary for gambling, will this violate the principle of gamble for fun, because you are working to gamble based on your proof income.

An automatic deduction of a certain amount from my payroll to the gambling website? This is absurd and I doubt that anyone would agree to this kind of setup. This is not only potentially dangerous but you are putting yourself in a situation where you are digging a grave. Instead of allocating a portion of your income to gambling, it is better that you explore other modes of entertainment.

This kind of situation contemplates a system where the gambler can monthly fund their earnings on the website. This will most likely result to a destructive and dangerous outcome since the gambling website is creating an addiction to the user.
