1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: October 08, 2022, 03:16:02 PM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.

This will definitely depend upon the extent of gambling you are currently doing.

Generally, the idea of being a gambler is held by the society as something negative. Truthfully, if someone is addicted to gambling, then it could potentially destroy someone's life in the process. But in the example that you provided, as long as the person knows how to control his gambling addiction and does not represent himself in a scandalous manner (e.g. boasting that you are gambling, etc.) then I do not think that it will not pose such a problem.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: October 08, 2022, 12:12:36 PM
Those are all normal patterns in gambling although the first one I would say happen to people who only start gambling and never or almost never I experience a chance that after playing for so long in a casino in a random deposit to directly go and make that big win.

Most common for what I have seen both as my personal experience and those around me is the third option, you win and you think that now I am being lucky or I can't have more bad luck and this is the trap which is correct makes many people to continue gambling and only worse things happen after this like losing everything or even worse coming back and becoming addicted.

I actually believe that majority of the gamblers are stuck on the first pattern- they most likely believe that they will another round of gambling when they bet more.

The problem lies on its cycle of winning. If a person gambles and losses money in the first place, the initial reaction would be to recover it. This cycle has brought about so much damage to gamblers where they have this attitude of retaliating and recovering their losses.

The graphs that you provided OP are very informative- I hope majority of the people would be open and read this information. Thank you, OP!
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens to Our Bitcoin and Other Assets If We Die? on: October 08, 2022, 11:41:24 AM
Hello guys just don't get me wrong. As we all know that one day we have to die. So for this I was wondering that if we have at east 1 million dollars in cryptocurrency or just couple of buck like me  Grin and nobody in our family and also friends do not know anything than what should be the possibility.
I think that's the reason still there are millions of BTC that are still missing cause of lost key or dead Bitcoin holders too.
I think we should at least make backup  file and should transfer in Bank Safe so that when they receive than they know how to retrieve it.

Still not getting Any merit 😁

Yup you are right- most tangible assets are transferred to your respective heirs (mandated by law) and/or to the persons stipulated on your last will/testament. In case of cryptocurrencies, since the latter is not regulated by any institution, it is up to you on how you would transfer your assets in case that you meet an unfortunate death or accident.

Generally, it is somehow dangerous to keep your private keys with someone else. I do suggest, however, that you put them inside a deposit box and name someone as the beneficiary of such in the event that something happens.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 07, 2022, 05:02:06 PM
I always consider gaming as gambling I have seen many gamblers spend a lot of money for their character and to level up their account for future profit, like selling their stuff and their character.

If you're a gamer or someone is a gamer and would like to try to gamble in online casinos will it become an easy transition as all the elements of gambling are present when you're a gamer, or does a gamer have to start all over again, and have a different motivation and mindset?

I think it is definitely easier for a gamer to succumb to gambling due to the nature of gaming itself.

Nowadays, tons of online games have introduced different payment schemes for the gaming company. Some games have "loot boxes" where you get the chance of a specific and overpowered item at a given rate. With this in mind, a gamer would most likely spend money getting that >1% item drop with cash cash as the main currency for it. With this in mind, gamers are technically gambling but behind a smokescreen of gaming.

That is why, I definitely believe that a gamer has all the chances of becoming a gambler.
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why 95% online Gambling websites are Scam? on: October 07, 2022, 04:30:14 PM
Hi guys I know That it silly thing because gambling is a thing in which only casino wins
.and a user will always loose it's money. And gambling makes people poor and drain everything from money to joy. And that sucks.
In 2017 I was introduced by Bitsler.com
This website took me at least 2000 dollars a that time. There was a time when I have at least 3 ETHER at the rate of dollars. And I regret that day when I lost everything. And that took my life from me. And that was the was the day I never entered this type of scams ever. And I know people will say that we become greedy. But system is designed I n such way that it took people money and everything that we had. And I know it just that hard.

First of all, the title is very misleading as the contents of your post are irrelevant to the subject.

Second, Bitsler did not "take away" your money from you- you have the discretion and choice to gamble upon knowing all the necessary and consequences that follow with such decision. Online gambling websites will not steal nor get money from you at any cost- you wager them with the risks and embrace the consequences of either winning or losing in the process.

At the end of the day, you cannot blame your own decisions to gambling websites. You must be fully aware that your decision follows all the risks that are associated with it.
1566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BEAR Market In Stock Market Like Cryptocurrency Market? on: October 04, 2022, 05:52:21 PM
We can't compare other stocks with Bitcoin. Because others stocks aren't volatile like Bitcoin. There is a reason why whales become a millionaire during the Bitcoin bull. Most of us become panic and sell our holdings during a bear market. And whales accumulate when we start the sale. And they don't become panic, as a result, they take huge advantage of the volatility. That's how whales become richer and billionaire.
That's why small investors should not lose the moment. Whales work very smart and always take advantage of market conditions. Meanwhile, what I see from the movement of small investors they only follow the bull market and do not try to take advantage of the bear market. In fact, one of the things that makes us profitable is buying when a bear market occurs. But it is not purely out of ignorance, sometimes most small investors are too overwhelmed by excessive fear and limited capital so that their movement is not very free.
They are smart and that's why they become whales. To be honest, I can't see many threads lately "is it the right time to buy Bitcoin" but when Bitcoin starts the green market then many threads will open like this. Because due to fear of loss small investors worried about their capital and this is a big mistake not taking risks.

I think one important factor to indicate is that the stock market is heavily regulated- where you can only trade at specific hours and tax becomes a factor to your earnings. Whereas in BTC, the latter is more volatile and no government or any entity has absolute and full control over its supply. While whales do exist in order to manipulate the price, it isn't as destructive when large conglomerates decide to manipulate the prices in stock market, thereby creating this "inside trading" scheme.

Though BTC has been in the bear market for a while, remember that the halving will happen in 2024, which is relatively near. Stock up your BTCs and HODL for long-term for maximum profit and gains.
1567  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's alright to lose and learn on: October 04, 2022, 05:33:19 PM
4. No shame in starting from scratch: using myself as an example I am starting fresh and going back to the very basics and I am not ashamed to admit that. The good news is that I am better experienced and more mature.
No need to be shamed. You dont need to impress other people to see that you made it. Someone is only doing that to make himself visible. A true crypto enthusiast doesnt need to brag anything he founded or aqcuired. Learning in crypto could be hard but if you are open to a lot of criticism and even accept that there are people who are more succesful than you then it will be okay. Remember that we have our own success story and yours are just yet to start so be patience.

Everything and everyone has to start from somewhere. I remember reading this quote where it stated that "In order for you to be good at something, you must suck at it first." Do not be ashamed from starting all over again from scratch and being a beginner- every veteran and crypto enthusiast was once a beginner!

Experience will always be the best teacher along the way. No matter how many times you read books about cryptocurrencies, experience will teach you something that just cannot be learned from reading. In addition, it is one of the most effective ways of personally experiencing cryptocurrencies.
1568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mcdonald's in Lugano, Switzerland now accept Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 04:30:51 PM
McDonald's is one of those fast food chains that is well-known at least around the world. I remember, I read an article where people recognize the sign of Mcdonald's more ("M" symbol) than Jesus Christ1. The fact that one of the largest fast food chain accepts BTC as a form of payment is big. I hope that this kind of implementation would spread across countries, subject to the confirmation of the countries' government.

The more people discover about BTC, the more people that would use it, thereby making it more beneficial in the long-run.

1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 433 Winners to split $4,015,156.265 6/55 Grand Lotto Jackpot on: October 04, 2022, 03:55:56 PM
1 in 29 million is the odds that one winner will get the number. You have to raise that again to 433 since there are 433 winners. That is 1 out of 1 followed by 1224 zeroes that 433 people will win a 6/55 lottery.
yeah, I guess you are right, but knowing how pattern/pretty numbers are popular when it comes to the lottery It is not surprising(or at least me) that there are a lot of people who won. I am also not against them doing an investigation but I doubt they'll find something suspicious.

Is there any ounce of possibility that this can be rigged? Though the pattern combination of the lotto numbers were all divisible by 9, this somehow can potentially happen especially if some people stick to a designated pattern of betting numbers. It just so happened that the numbers that fell were all divisible by 9.

Again, the chances of this happening is just significantly and statistically low but the odds are the odds! No matter how low the chances of winning are, the fact that there is that "chance" of winning does not discount the possibility of the impossible happening.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Table tennis is the best sport gambling! (My strategy of winning) on: October 03, 2022, 11:08:01 PM
Let him continue with his strategy because it's his money anyway. You can follow if you want but do it with a small amount. I laughed a bit at the "face appearance" but yes it's one of those intangibles similar to reading the body language. What you're really looking at is if the player has the confidence he could win.

I guess every person has their respective techniques that makes them comfortable betting but this is definitely the first time I heard someone relying on "face appearances" on betting. I hope that by using this technique, you are not being racist OP.

As someone who has played table tennis during the entirety of my High School years, I would say that watching this sport is one of those things that makes your jaw drop in awe. Lots of Chinese and European players are gods in this sport especially that the top player right now can be changed by another person within the next few weeks/months. That is why I somehow consider this sport to be relatively difficult in terms of betting.
1571  Economy / Economics / Re: Take shelter, a storm is coming in October. on: October 03, 2022, 10:08:51 PM
Being a strong heart person to face the bearish crypto market now.Selling of governments bonds was increase the money flow among the governments. So we expects some good flow among the people by the schemes. They also make some changes in the flow of money to the crypto trading by the people due to the excess money among the traders and exchanges. If nuclear will exploid,it will impact the world economy for sure.

This is why people are advise to diversify their portfolio, stocks or bonds, real-estate, jewelry and not only crypto assets.
If you know there's a situation that is coming, you will prepare for something that you think you can overcome.
In case, you can sell whatever you think is the best for the situation. But you won't go bankrupt for sure.
Diversification is the key if you know something worst is to come. Even if one of them will goes to zero, you have other backups to go to.

I agree, diversification can be definitely helpful and must be exercised in order to maximize your earnings especially during a calamity. But another crucial factor must be said- investments are always liquid. Meaning, you can always convert all of your investments to cash especially if you need the funds during an emergency.

While a family must have an emergency fund ready for any calamity, you can always convert your investments to cash when the need arises. Remember, investments are also resources that you can use especially when you definitely and significantly need the cash to use.
1572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 03, 2022, 05:46:24 PM
I was reading some of the replies in of @mr_jk's thread when he asked what will happen if bitcoin's price became stable?

The replies were unexpected hehehe. Much of them argued why or how can bitcoin be stable? This makes me ask the question do much of the holders of bitcoin want the price to be stable or do they really want it be volatile? I ask this because stability makes bitcoin become a good store of value and medium of exchange. Volatility makes it good for trading and speculation.

Personally, I would prefer it to be volatile in order to retain its investment potential in the market.

Given that the price of BTC has been steadily increasing/decreasing, many investors have taken the opportunity to HODL and wait for its price to skyrocket. Given its inflationary nature with only a limited supply of 21 million, it is but inevitable for its price to increase as the years go by. With the convenience of purchasing BTC via local exchanges, it has become the new 'digital gold' in this aspect especially on its investment opportunities.
1573  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paper can easily get ruined, fast. on: October 03, 2022, 05:27:43 PM
There is no paper wallet or books that are water resistance or fire resistance, how are you protecting yourself from natural disasters that can affect your recovery seed when you wrote it down in a book, big note or paper...

Good question- I think the best possible way in order to secure your recovery seed while not compromising its safety is to store them in a sealed deposit box. Generally, you can get a deposit box and have it deposited in your local bank for safekeeping. Maybe another method would be to properly store it in your own safety box for maximum security.

Given that there is really nothing secured in the internet, I highly advise you to keep or store it digitally as it may be susceptible of hacking. At the end of the day, it all boils down to the least likely event that would happen as anything can definitely happen- just go with the lower chances of happening.
1574  Economy / Gambling / Re: Odds like 1xbet on: October 03, 2022, 04:41:30 PM
Hi Everyone, I like 1xbet odds and look for same odds website. I know many similar website like melbet, betwinner, megapari but not sure why they blocked my account without any reason. I once got blocked from 1xbet because of winning too much now their child or similar website are also blocking me.

It would be a great help if someone provide me a 1xbet odds betting site or tell me a reason how to avoid my self from blocking those website. I do not break any rules and they do not provide reason for blocking me. I only play tennis and Cricket Matchs.

Thanks Alot

Hmm, the statements that you mentioned are somewhat conflicting. The fact that several gambling websites have blocked you heavily implies that you are violating their respective TOS and rules on their website. You just cannot just brush it off and say that "you have no idea" on why they did that. Generally, gambling websites will not block their users without any valid reason as this would cost them to ruin their well-built and established reputation.

Anyway, I suggest trying out the big casinos being currently advertised in this forum. While their rates are relatively different from what 1xbit offers, at least you get the price of security and comfort knowing that your account will not be "blocked" assuming that what you are doing is legal.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: October 03, 2022, 04:05:19 PM
The only two localities I as a gambler would like to visit in a tourism trip are Las Vegas as the biggest one which I dream to go there and Maccau which I don't care that much even if I don't visit it one time in my life but Las Vegas is in my long term agenda to visit and why not to hit a multi million dollar jackpot there  Grin.

All other places mentioned here are not that impressive to me and do not offer the same treatment as Las Vegas offers.

I personally agree with you. The gambling scene has significantly popularized Las Vegas and Macau as the main gambling establishments to visit at least once in your lifetime. Though I very occasionally gamble, if I were given the opportunity to visit those renowned places, I would definitely take all the chances and experience its amenities and feel for the game.

Though I only hope that these well-known gambling establishments soon accept cryptocurrencies as an alternative payment to their games. That would definitely be the dream!
1576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: October 02, 2022, 05:41:13 PM
The price of Bitcoin increased drastically in late 2020 and early 2021. The price of Bitcoin touched about 72k dollars. But from there the price has come down to its lowest level.

https://i.ibb.co/SwZRFXh/22b6e9eb5212.jpg

Bitcoin price is currently 19302 dollars but the possibility of Bitcoin price increase from here is very high. And I think Bitcoin price in 2023 Chances of reaching $100,000 per year are very high so if one wants to invest then now is the best time to invest in Bitcoin.

If you invest at this time then you will definitely be able to reap huge benefits as I believe that Bitcoin price will increase greatly by 2023.

Personally, the best time to invest into BTC is the time where you discover about its existence. That is why, I consider that time is of the essence when it comes to investing into cryptocurrencies. Fortunately, the widespread knowledge of BTCs have been steadily increasing over the years, both positively and negatively.

Fortunately, more countries have started to adopt cryptocurrencies to system of their government as the latter recognizes its potential uses economically. Though there are still countries who continuously prohibit the transactions of cryptocurrencies, more countries somehow outweigh such tradeoff.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling Site has a Short Signature Campaign on: October 02, 2022, 02:03:13 PM
Does this bear market affect the finances of the casino sites as well, so they have a low allocation for signature campaigns.

With the end of several signature campaigns, the competition is getting tougher. As in the Trus Dice campaign, which was managed by Hhampuz, only a few hours after it was opened, many people applied. and for sure those who have the most merit in the last 120 have a chance to be accepted. while those of us who are only able to collect a few merits are sometimes always eliminated and do not get a place.

I do not think so- most campaign signatures of gambling websites provide only a limited number of allowance allocated to it to necessarily "test the market." Again, the more members they recruit, the more chances of their gambling website being advertised across this forum.

In adherence to this situation, this is also the reason on why there are also some gambling websites that have an initial budget only planned for let's say 2 weeks, but they suddenly extended their campaign signature for more than 10 weeks due to the sudden boost of players after the "testing period" on the campaign.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this statiscally possible in a lottery? on: October 02, 2022, 10:56:12 AM
This broke the news here in the Philippines. One interesting feature to note is that all the winnings numbers are divisible by "9." Though I am not profound with mathematics and/or statistics, does it have an implication of such?

This is the first time I have encountered more than a hundred of people winning a 6-number lottery. Though statistics may argue that it is possible, the chances of it from happening must be like significantly low. Currently, there have been conferences starting to discuss this kind of impossible feat- though we will keep you guys also updated on how this unimaginable happened.
1579  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: October 01, 2022, 07:18:52 PM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?

I do think that this is the normal occurrence given that the world is transitioning to a digital age. Given that technology is innovating more and more each day, more businesses have started to integrate and adapt digitally, where they offer services on this platform. No wonder that social media has been flocked with tons of advertisements of businesses.

Though the social aspect is becoming more irrelevant, this is nothing but the inevitable given that the world is transitioning to this kind of aspect. The more the business can adapt to changes, the more that they can be ahead of the curve in terms of competition.

Source: https://coinpedia.org/crypto-live-news/cryptocurrency-wallet-provider-pouch-to-turn-philippines-resort-into-bitcoin-island/

When I saw this news for the first time coming from a crypto friend of mine, it was really mind blowing. The adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in the Philippines has taken to a whole new level in which a Philippines resort may be turning into a “Bitcoin island” by a crypto wallet provider.

What are your thoughts about this one guys especially Filipinos here on this forum? Would love to hearing some feedback, reactions or opinion from you all here.

Thanks in advance!

This is very interesting- given that lots of countries have started to adopt cryptocurrencies in their financials as well, I guess the government of the Philippines saw it as a potential benefit in the long-run in our country. With this in mind, I do hope that the government would allow a more lenient on its application.

Our local exchange have started to adopt stringent regulations in terms of requiring KYC documents to be submitted + additional more documents that makes it counter-productive. If the government really wants to adopt cryptocurrencies in the country, I hope they make the application easier and convenient to all people willing to test it out.
