1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin and crypto currency experience. on: October 25, 2022, 11:37:51 PM
My experience:
There's a high level of security. Crypto currencies are not always affected by inflation in the market and very volatile in nature. The convenience of trading at anytime and the easy made of crypto currency liquidity across multiple exchanges. There's equality and fairness on either sides of the market. It's always a win-win situation whether you're buying or selling if you know what you're doing. And there's also a high level of transaction freedom.

Please feel free to share your experiences with Bitcoin and other Crypto currency

Like you pointed out, there is freedom in trading. You are not restricted to a specific time-frame due to no regulation in the trading market by the government. While there may be some whales that can relatively manipulate the price, it is not as worst in trading where giant conglomerates hold like 51% of a respective stock which can lead to inside trading.

Personally, BTC has created an opportunity for me to work online. I never imagined seeing myself working online and receiving this amount of BTCs weekly due to campaign signatures. While this kind of visioned is too specific, it significantly helped me and my family in alleviating our expenses weekly.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will This Habit Lead You To Chase Your Losses And Addictive To Gambling on: October 25, 2022, 10:55:04 PM
Do you think it's unhealthy to always post your winnings on social media and forums because this habit will lead you to chase your losses and bet more so you can post your winning, I find this habit forming and this is bad especially if people are following you and always looking forward to your winning posts.

This depends actually since you also mentioned about posting only your "winnings" and not your losses.

Posting your winnings and the amounts that you received respectively can most likely influence other people from gambling as well when they see your winnings. The potential danger here is not about chasing your losses but actually influencing the younger generation in this destructive habit. Maybe to balance this out, you should also post your losses as this can be considered your "wake-up call" in choosing NOT to gamble further.
1504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you guys think is the best crypto signals group on Telegram? on: October 25, 2022, 04:56:13 PM
What do you guys think is the best crypto signals group on Telegram?

I would highly avoid using any crypto signals found on Telegram groups.

Remember that these kinds of schemes are created primarily for profit. Though they may create/make claims and promises of receiving returns in a "xxx" amount of time, it is most likely a scam that will attract newbies to invest on their project. I personally witnessed these kinds of schemes and almost every group has the same format, feature, and scheme introduced.

Remember that this is the beauty of cryptocurrencies- you are the one responsible for creating your own kind of signals and skills in order to prevent imminent loss from your resources.
1505  Economy / Economics / Re: Printing of money doesn't make a country rich but to diversify like a person on: October 25, 2022, 02:33:40 PM
If you are not knowledgeable think like that is a natural thing especially when you are not mature, even in this world many officials who should know how dangerous printing money excessively still think it's the right step and they do it, today countries that print money excessively end up being in a deplorable condition, they just think it's easy to have funds that can be used as funding.

Printing a lot of money is an attempt to solve the current problems in the country, but at the same time they do not think about what this may lead to in the future. Or they know what it can lead to, but they count on the fact that they will no longer be in the government until then and other people will solve these problems. In any case, it will just lead to a lot of inflation and in the end they will be able to say that this is how it always happens.
Printing more money should not be done without having an equivalent gold reserve or major currencies that are in turn backed by sufficient gold reserves (some other precious metals can replace gold, the purpose is to add value to money more than just ink printed on paper).
Some governments in different countries resort to printing money in certain circumstances, which are often similar to the dance of a slaughtered rooster. The remnants of printing money arbitrarily are always inflation that is not difficult to correct.

Every printing of money that is not backed by an equivalent reserve increases the inflation of that country. There is no escape from it. Especially during the pandemic period, the aid packages announced by the countries again led these countries to print money. They also know that when they print money, inflation will increase. The real problem starts here. They are moving to save the day. They don't want to think about what kind of damage will occur in the future. Many countries have to suffer the consequences for printing money. And many countries will not be able to cope with it.

Remember what happened to Zimbabwe? Their currency basically had no value at all due to the sheer amount of printing of money. The increase of supply in the money basically made it worthless to the point that their currency was denominated as "one hundred trillion dollars."

Like what you mentioned, if the printing of money cannot be backed by an equivalent of gold reserves or resources, then you are just decreasing the overall value of your currency which will make the economy hyperinflated.

1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency and Gambling on: October 25, 2022, 01:11:06 PM
Many people still think of cryptocurrency as gambling. While gambling relies on chance, cryptocurrencies rely on arithmetic and cryptography.

Given the parallels between cryptocurrency and gambling, this makes sense. Both are fast-paced, the value of crypto is unpredictable.

Cryptocurrency is chance-based, rooted in exceptional circumstances like influencer opinions, values might drastically change.

And both crypto and gambling (online gambling) are accessible all day and night.

Lots of people have been associating gambling with anything that involves risks due to their nature. But they fail to understand that gambling is purely luck, which cannot give absolute and direct results.

While investing in cryptocurrencies may include that chance of doubling/tripling your investment, gambling is entirely different from the former. Though this kind of misconception has been viewed, still, their common denominator which is the element of risk is present. But in its entirety, cryptocurrencies and gambling are two (2) different worlds with different purposes that cannot be singled out with each other.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 25, 2022, 10:26:22 AM
Such crazy claims should be ruled out and the casino should be penalized for requesting such documents. If a person has passed the KYC, then this means "the end of the test" and no more additional requirements (otherwise, if he provides documents for the origin of the funds, will they ask for a certificate stating that he is a diligent Christian?).
Origin of funds is something that is required in the traditional financial systems as well. I have never traded stocks, but I am pretty sure they need to know where your money comes from before it accesses those markets as well. When you buy a house or a company, or you want to put some money in your bank account, you can't just show up with a bag full with money. Everyone will want to know where all that came from and has it been obtained in illegal ways.

I think it depends but if the online gambling website requires it, then I am obliged to comply.

It is somehow implied that if an online gambling website asks for KYC, they are mandated by their government to follow their respective laws. Though this may seem unsecured, it is actually the other way around- you are somehow more secured by sending KYC documents as the government can now intervene in the event of a mishap or scam on the part of the gambling website.

Unfortunately, even exchanges ask for KYC documents nowadays. Our local exchange has been so strict to the point that it even asked for the ITR of my parents to prove that the BTC coming from my account is not contraband or illegal.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: October 25, 2022, 09:52:50 AM
.....
This is a very sad story to me, which is why I ask these four questions:

Can this guy win the case?
Has anyone experienced not being paid for their winning for real?
Why would they take your big money but refuses to pay big winning?
What could be done to curb this cheating permanently in gambling?

For those requesting the link, here it is: https://punchng.com/lagos-lottery-company-arraigned-for-refusing-n72m-win/

Interesting- I do think that he will win this case. As far as I know, in a game of chance, any technicality is construed and favoured against the gambling company due to the nature of such risk present. In this case, the gambling company cannot argue that they cannot pay the winnings on the person due to a mere technicality in their system.

Put it this way- assuming that the person lost the bet, can he claim back the amount he wagered due to technical issues experienced by the gambling company? This is really convenient for the gambling website as they can always argue and raise the issue of "technicality" to avoid paying their customers.
1509  Other / Meta / Re: Attaining legendary rank - is that the end? on: October 25, 2022, 01:23:39 AM
I think the ranking system has to do something with the purpose of the individual- like does he want to rank-up in order to get higher payment rates in signature campaigns; or does he think that ranking is immaterial in his/her overall stay in this forum?

Users like LoyceV and others who attained thousands of merits have one (1) common purpose- which is to contribute to the overall experience and knowledge about this forum. So I do think it boils down to the purpose of the individual on why he/she joined in this forum in the first place.
1510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador will be the richest country in the world in 8 years? on: October 24, 2022, 10:55:28 PM
I saw this post and what do you think? Is it possible for him to become that rich in such a short time?

look at the post here https://boletimbitcoin.com/2022/05/19/com-o-bitcoin-el-salvador-sera-o-pais-mais-rico-do-mundo-em-8-anos/

I doubt that El Salvador will be the richest country despite making BTC as their legal tender.

Remember that there are several factors that you must consider on how you define a country's richness. Just because they can potentially acquire tons of BTC does not entirely mean that they will be the richest country. Unfortunately, a country can be rich if they are placed geographically right on the Earth. With their tons of natural resources, they may capitalize this advantage and turn it into richness and money.

While BTC may be the future of currency, this fact alone cannot withstand the other factor that may make a country rich.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you get over a bad loss? on: October 24, 2022, 09:53:34 PM
What's your favorite thing to do when you get a bad loss?

This is a seemingly simple question but a very important one given that every gambler copes with their respective methods.

The problem with some is that, they cope their losses through gambling again in order to recover such. This puts them in a situation where they are in a cycle- a vicious cycle of betting, losing, recovering, and betting again. This can be potentially dangerous especially if they cannot escape this kind of mindset and situation.

Personally, I cope via doing the hobbies that I am accustomed with. I play video games and/or just read/watch videos on YouTube- so basically, anything to distract my mind from remembering that I had lost an amount of money in my gambling spree.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 24, 2022, 09:27:25 PM
....
Second, will you use this money to upgrade your lifestyle i.e living big and showing off, even relocating to a better environment and forget about your old friends in your former neighborhood ? Or will you just remain quiet, happy and living a your normal way of life but investing the money into something profitable without telling anyone ?

If I were to win a huge amount of money, I would definitely stay quiet and only treat my family with the money I won. The essence of gambling is about sharing- knowing that the proceeds that I won are purely for savings and for extra cash to be used for my family.

What is definitely important is NOT to make gambling as a lifestyle since that could be potentially destructive and disruptive. The problem with most gamblers is that they are stuck in this cycle where they continue to gamble despite winning/losing huge amounts of money in the process.
1513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Education on: October 24, 2022, 03:22:39 PM
I do think that the world is slowly adapting to a digitalized version of services. The more that innovations would be introduced, the more that our current system of payment methods would also improve. Along with this change, the introduction of BTC and the blockchain would be very relevant in the coming future.

Learning cryptocurrency will attract you towards the digital world and internet technology. It will prepare you for the future, since digital world is here to stay, and technology is progressing and evolving rapidly.

Is it time for the whole world to embrace, adapt, add it in educational curriculum and teach cryptocurrency to the youth?

It is already time for the world to start embracing this concept. There are already some countries who started to integrate cryptocurrencies to their finances and economics. For example, there are countries who started to recognize and use BTC as a form of legal tender in their country. Also, there are also countries that would set-up different cryptocurrency islands for its further development.
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: October 24, 2022, 03:10:11 PM
Bitcoins can exist without exchanges, but would you support the argument that the existence of exchanges are among the factors facilitating the popularity and accessibility that people have to bitcoins?

Definitely! Exchanges (even local exchanges) provide a platform for people to convert easily one's BTC to their desired currency. In addition, the exchange would provide the utmost convenience to the users who are planning to enter this space. I remember, there are dozens of users who are curious about BTC, but they find it too complicated on how one it would convert it to cash (using the p2p of Binance).

Personally, the presence of our local exchange in the Philippines provided the convenience of converting our BTCs to our local currency. Not only does it provide accessibility 24/7, but it also has the option of paying your bills immediately.
1515  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Advise to newbies on PM offers on: October 23, 2022, 11:58:18 PM
This advice cannot be for n newbies because they cannot wear a signature and therefore the lowest rank that these offers may receive is the full member, but what is the point of creating this topic?

Rarely does an account have unique writing style that companies have to pay specifically to rent out their ad space.
Thus, scam may be the only motive if you receive such offers.

Interesting enough, I have not encountered any PMs renting out my signature in order to advertise a certain gambling establishment, local exchange, or mixer.

Though there may be some forum users who post regularly, I have yet to encounter this kind of offer. But like what you mentioned, newbies cannot wear any signatures- so the offers of renting out their signature space cannot be made applicable to what OP is referring to.

The bottomline conclusion is- always be doubtful and skeptical. If you receive a random message informing you to invest or to try a certain wallet and/or links, be skeptical that it is a scam. Again, it is wholly better to prevent a scam than to cure a scam!
1516  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: October 23, 2022, 11:28:24 PM
Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

If this were to happen to me, I would definitely submit a ticket explaining on why they do not want to pay my winnings.

Assuming that their reply is insufficient, if they have an account and thread in this forum, I would also report it and post a scam accusation against them. This would inform majority of the people to avoid and to prevent gambling from this website. If they are a popular online gambling website, chances are that the reputation that they built would crumble in an instant the moment they screw up with at least one (1) guaranteed transaction.

As for legal means, I doubt that I would be able to do something about it given that online gambling is not properly regulated by the government. Any winnings/losings in a game of chance, under the law, would be against us.
1517  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitsler block my account without any reasons on: October 23, 2022, 11:07:39 PM
Your account is still under investigation for some suspicious activity from the looks of it. What you should be asking the customer support or look for is how long does this investigation usually last according to their TOS. Surely they cannot just suspend your account indefinitely.

A popular online gambling website such as bitsler will not ban any account without any proper investigation and information. They will definitely not risk ruining the years of building their trusted membership and reputation due to banning one (1) account only- so rest assured that the decision that they made was taken seriously.

Are you sure that you did not violate any of their TOS agreement? Bear in mind that the use of VPNs in most gambling websites is prohibited and may be a cause on why your account is blocked. Like what they said, they do not have the information right now so best to do is to wait, OP.
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Throwback: Bitcoin was $64k today, a year ago. on: October 22, 2022, 07:17:33 PM
Anytime the price of an asset or commodity shoots straight up vertical producing 10x+ returns, it's a good time to sell.

Let this be a lesson to anyone new to crypto, not to get greedy.

I remember the time where BTC reached this price peak and I refused to convert it to cash thinking that the trend would to increase. A few months after such peak, its price dropped and slowly it failed to recover from this price point.

I definitely agree with your statement- if the price increases tenfold or at least the initial price, then it is a good time to sell at least 50% of your total coins. You will definitely never know when its price would increase/decrease as it is also dependent on current events.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win big in casino, would it be publicized? on: October 22, 2022, 10:47:12 AM
I do not expect gambling sites to be publicising this kind of news. Will gambling site ask for the permission of the winner for the winning to go public? Or the winner can just be anonymous in a way his name will not be mentioned?

I think that there are some online gambling websites that publish or show real-time winnings on their website and the amount wagered by a certain player. But I do not think that they will certainly disclose the actual name of these players, despite having a KYC function required by them.

Like what some have asked, does the USA publicize the winners of their lottery? Like what you mentioned, this will pose some serious and potential threats of danger to their security if this should happen.
1520  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unpopular opinion about crypto gambling on: October 22, 2022, 10:34:12 AM
I do not think so- remember that most online gambling websites are respectively mandated by their government to provide KYC documents.

With the popularity of online gambling due to the pandemic, the government has recognized its existence and the need for it to tax in order to provide additional revenue. Bearing this in mind, it is nothing but obvious for them to tax these online establishments for proper regulation of the stream of revenue.

While you do not entirely agree with KYC on crypto gambling, remember that this is only a security feature installed by the government.
