1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 06, 2022, 11:58:07 PM
<..snip..>

Ever had such concerns for security when visiting live casino centers?  or do other reasons which prevent you from using these live casino centers? (please state it).

https://abcnews.go.com/US/stabbed-front-las-vegas-casino-victim-dead-police/story?id=91123497

In my country (Philippines), there was a time where a famous gambling resort was burned down by a person and some suffered casualties in the process.

More than anything, my concern is my personal safety. Though lots of guards and police are stationed on our gambling resort, still, you cannot prevent an incident from happening especially if we are talking about some operations done by conspirators. Another concern is my spending habits. Given that these physical casinos offer lots of freebies if you win, they will try their best to compel you to stay in the area to gamble more.

Before, I used to have a problem with my discipline of spending especially in the casino. I am slowly but surely trying my best to focus on other ventures to keep my mind busy and prevent gambling. Though this may be the case, I guess I will be sticking to online gambling for now.
1382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's understand about what can be the actual long term holding... on: December 06, 2022, 11:47:07 PM
<..snip..>
For the people, who argue that they cannot lock $1000 for year then they should plan up for $50 or $100; that is very basic. If we stick with basics of investments then we can easily convert deep bear markets of bitcoin into moderate ones.

Personally, short/long-term investment of BTC varies on its price on the market. It is definitely absurd to think that if a person plans to HODL long-term but the price of BTC exploded like a week from the time he invested, then it is a no-brainer for that person to sell majority of his coins for profit.

Either focusing on short/long-term investment, people should study the actual market and determine a threshold in the price they want to sell their coins.

In the abovementioned example, let's say a person purchases $100 worth of BTC and the latter's price exploded after a week making his investment from $100-$300, then he should sell it. If he HODLs for long-term and the price decreased, then a loss would be incurred due to the decision of HODLing "long-term."
1383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to raise funding for trading? on: December 06, 2022, 11:28:57 PM
I am doing trading since more than Four years and earning good  but i want more capital for big trade setups, so any pro trader please suggest me that how can i raise fund for my trading.

I know nothing about  fundraising so please guide me through this process for my better future.

Thanks.

Looking for a fund for your trading can be relatively difficult given its nature. You can ask for a loan in banks but you must be absolutely sure that you can pay your balance within the time-frame stipulated on your contract. Generally, I would advise against this given the amount of risk involved. But since you mentioned that you have four (4) years of experience, then the chances of you losing your money is relatively lower compared to others who little-to-no experience at all.

Another suggestion would be to save the profit you have earned overtime. In this method, you will risk all the profits you have realized and use it as your capital if you focus on trading big trade setups.
1384  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: December 06, 2022, 11:06:55 PM
I've seen many friends of mine reading the books with titles how to become rich, billionaires words etc. I don't know how this could make an impact over one's life. You know what you need to be and you are supposed to run for it. Maybe the words can inspire, but it is you and me to run. Set the target and run, surely one can turn rich even if he wasn't able to make himself a billionaire  Smiley

I personally think that there is nothing wrong with purchasing self-help books for tips and guides. But I do agree with some that there are tons of discussions about saving money, like this one created by OP in this thread.

Just to add what OP summarized already, always determine your wants vs your needs. The latter must be prioritized first since these are the things that are essential for your quality of life. In addition, before you invest your money, always do your research and avoid hastily investing without knowing on what you are investing on.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much initial startup to Start Cryptocurrency Casino? on: December 06, 2022, 10:56:04 PM
Hi guys I wanted to ask some of big family members who have experience in crypto and also in gambling. But my experience is not good in gambling.
If someone wants to start a Gambling casino online with Cryptocurrency than how much money is needed. I think that 100k dollars initial capital would be enough to satrt a better casino. Cause we have to promote and also do other such promotions.
So what are your thoughts?

Creating and operating your own cryptocurrency casino can be very expensive. Apart from the capital you have to set-aside for your games, you have to purchase licensing agreements with the government of your country in order to operate legally. In addition to that, you have to purchase your own domain, hire a set of employees for your operations, create your own website (or hire a person to do so), and advertisements for promotions and exposure.

Personally, this kind of space is relatively crowded as there are tons of cryptocurrency gambling websites available on the market. You also have to be different from each website in order to attract users with your own unique style and promotions.
1386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Questions about Bitcoin investment and Mining. on: December 06, 2022, 10:46:53 PM
Considering that it's been said that Bitcoin won't be impacted and will continue to grow, what are the key difference between the two Bitcoin and other coins?

Bitcoin is the first ever cryptocurrency created in the market. It operates within the blockchain technology where it is posted in a public ledger. Every transaction made is unalterable given the number of checks it passes through and a number of confirmations done. One of the key difference also is its price on the market which is significantly higher compared to other alternate coins (or altcoins).

Quote
The second is about Bitcoin mining; what is the difference between investing in bitcoin and mining bitcoin, or are they interchangeable? If you do not wish to purchase, will you mine your own Bitcoin?
Please accept my apologies if the question appears unclear; I am very confused, which is why I ask. Thank you very much.

Mining is the process of earning BTC. A miner is the one responsible for confirming a BTC transaction in a blockchain and every transaction, they get rewarded with BTC. Bitcoin investment, on the other hand, is the process of purchasing BTC and holding it for a short/long period of time for investment. It is the same as your normal investment in the market.

Mining is a very expensive and technical way of earning BTC. Also, you need a specific set of equipments in order to get started. Given the competition of it, I will most likely never mine my own BTC as I prefer to just purchase and HODL my BTC for long-term gain.
1387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: December 06, 2022, 03:33:59 PM
<..snip..>
After I figured it out, I no longer expect Bitcoin to be recognized by the state, and it doesn't need to be. It is part of a special asset, not a currency.
So I don't think Bitcoin is going to become a fiat currency.

Why are people so fixated with the idea of BTC being a replacement for fiat? I do think that it can co-exist with fiat and serve its purpose, if not better.

Imagine if BTC were to be a global currency replacing fiat- that would mean a disaster for most countries given its nature. Not to mention, its limited supply would cause hyperinflation and majority of the whales can somehow manipulate its price on the market.

That is why, fiat and cryptocurrency can co-exist with each other and serve their respective purposes.
1388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First time of owning bitcoin on: December 05, 2022, 11:50:10 PM
I remember the first time I received my BTCs was from a campaign signature that I joined way back in 2017. I was a Jr. Member and I participated in one of those campaigns that yahoo managed. When I first received my coins, I quickly converted it to cash (through our local exchange) and spent in on food! I remember feeling so powerful and satisfied to the point that I was able to purchase something using my own knowledge and hard work in this forum.

Fast forward to 5 years from 2017, I still participate in campaign signatures and I have used majority of my coins to fund my own education and for the books of my brothers. Definitely, the power and convenience of working online is such a privilege that I want to exercise and maximize forever.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 05, 2022, 11:35:30 PM
<..snip..>
What would, in your opinion, be the best balance here?

I do not think that there is a middle ground in a solution for KYC. In fact, KYC is already the middle-ground of cryptocurrency casinos to operate in this kind of field.

The reason on why KYC is implemented is due to the mandate of the government for its regulation among its users. With the nature of online gambling, the streamline of revenue is significantly huge that there is unrealized profit in the part of the government if the casino is not registered. The reason on why KYC was implemented is in order to receive the revenue and regulate the users on their spending habits.

Since cryptocurrencies cannot be controlled or regulated, this is the most regulation that the government could implement. While it may be a hindrance to most people, this is the only solution and middle-ground created by the government.
1390  Economy / Economics / Re: Share Your Best Money Advice Based on Personal Experience on: December 04, 2022, 11:40:23 PM
For the longest time, I have been thinking about doing this. It seems like the right time is now. All of us have had good, bad, and ugly experiences with money. So now is a good time to offer your two cents worth of financial advice.

Ty question-  Based on your cumulative life experiences, can you share your best money advice with us?

I'd go first -  Stay out of debt as much as you can.

You know what is the only thing consistent in this world? TIME- better invest while you still have the time in this world. The moment you start investing your money, it accumulates profit overtime and as you mature your money also increases. By the time you reach the age of retirement, all of your investments would reap and you would be able to enjoy your retirement without any financial difficulties on you.

That is why, maximize your investments and profit while you still have the time. Diversify and maximize every opportunity in order to get the most out of everything.
1391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk- I heard the name before. I hope it is a great starting. on: December 04, 2022, 11:20:53 PM

Hey everyone. I'm Adam, a new user here. Before joining in this forum I heard about it too many times in social media. Recently I've paid my visit here.
I've noticed several boards and topics here. I've seen some interesting discussions here, some great person helping one another about their problems, some post are very educative. Another interesting thing I've noticed here is grading users rank.

Thus I've influenced and joined here to know and to serve knowledge. I hope it is a great starting. Really it is an interesting forum.

I find it very interesting that you heard this forum from social media! I guess that the popularity of cryptocurrencies have skyrocketed in the past years given that this forum is relatively famous. Anyway, congratulations on starting your journey here, OP!

Yes you are right- there are forum ranks present but they are used primarily for signature campaigns. A forum rank does not entirely determine if a person is trustworthy or not, so exercise your discretion well if you are planning on investing and someone messages you visiting some shady links, etc.

If you do not know anything about cryptocurrencies, then this is the best place for you start. I also recommend watching various guides in YouTube in order to understand and get an overall grasp on how cryptocurrencies work.
1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People who don't use hardware wallets: Why not? on: December 04, 2022, 10:36:58 PM
Just purely out of curiosity. 99% of people who don't know how to properly create an airgapped device should be using hardware wallets.

I am actually quite guilty of this- as someone who truly advocates a hardware wallet for maximum security, it is actually essential that every person who owns cryptocurrencies should at least have it. Unfortunately, I do not have one at the moment as I have no idea on how to actually use it.

Given the circumstances, I also hope that a person could teach me on how to purchase it locally in my country and use it. Though I do rely on my local exchange for the security of my BTCs, this kind of practice is potentially dangerous long-term given the nature of exchanges being prone to hackers.
1393  Other / Archival / Re: online lottery games on: December 04, 2022, 10:04:45 PM
It’s a type of lottery, but with your preferred arrangement? I haven’t heard of togel ever it’s just here that I read this, but if it is a type of lottery, then it’s obvious that it’s still a lot game and just you need to get the right numbers right?

I don’t get the dead and dead Magic. What is that for?
In the lottery game in my country, many people associate lottery luck with magic, it's just a term, but here I ask whether there is an element of cheating in the lottery. thanks

I think the people in your country believes in such superstitious belief. Though there is nothing wrong with that given that there are various cultures in the world, but you have to understand that the lottery is specifically tied with the game of luck. You can even watch it live when the lottery/sweepstakes office gets a number from this machine which is purely random, I believe.

Like what some have mentioned, there are people who choose their numbers depending on several factors. For example, my father chooses dates of all our birthdays as his number on the lottery. Again, everything is all about luck!
1394  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: December 04, 2022, 09:34:01 PM
<..snip..>
What extra do you expect from a (somewhat established) crypto casino? A few aspects we can think of include:

Thank you for creating this thread, OP. This will definitely garner you all the feedback and suggestions that a normal gambling player would ask to implement in your casino for a better overall experience on your website.

Personally, I would like to ask for an improvement regarding the chat box. Like, make it more interactive in a way that the players could talk to one another without getting any bored or anything whatsoever. Another suggestion is to integrate more games in the casino (e.g. well-known old games like fps, etc.). This would definitely attract more users in the process if you guys can create your own version of a famous beloved game.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Types Of Online Casinos To Avoid.. on: December 04, 2022, 11:43:57 AM
<..snip..>
This is just one out of many types of online casinos to avoid, so let's make the discussion long, what other types of online casinos do you think gamblers should avoid? You never can tell, your advice might help someone in a short of long way.

Generally, an online casino that has no community here in this forum should be a concern but it is in no way an absolute factor that will decide whether you should avoid it or not. In checking online casinos, always check their history and the time they have been operational. If you noticed that they are relatively new on the market, then you should do some extra research about them to see if they are genuine or not.

In addition to the above-mentioned factors, you must also look the general aesthetics of the gambling website. No kidding, there are some gambling websites that are poorly created in order just to scam people outright. Lastly, you must also consider if they have an active customer support service where you can reach with their support anytime.
1396  Other / Off-topic / Re: hey there.. this is a kind of scams on the internet! on: December 03, 2022, 11:35:12 PM
.

Lastly, are words of wisdom from an inmate in my country!
Quote
"Crime happens not only because there is the intention of the perpetrator, but also because there is an opportunity. BEWARE! BEWARE!!"

stay safe everyone Wink

This quote is important if you want to understand how or what makes people to fall victim. For a crime as money to take place the other party has also compromised, meaning there is tendency for the person to fraudulently take what does not belong to him but the smarter person wins it off.

I think we can all agree that any website or link being posted or message to you, claiming that they give free BTCs or cryptocurrencies is almost guaranteed a scam. If there is one thing I learned from scam busting for years, it is that there is nothing that is free in this space. They may claim that they have free services of BTCs on their disposal but on the other hand, you are required to provide your personal details + private keys that would definitely equate to you being scammed on their end.

At the end of the day, always be doubtful about the things that you see claiming to give free BTCs. Prevention is always better than cure and never risk your personal safety with what scammers are claiming to give you.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the most Preferred Choice on: December 03, 2022, 11:17:08 PM
Bitcoin is good but not the best! We have many other technically advanced cryptocurrencies available in the market. They are cheaper, more anonymous and faster than bitcoin. The only thing bitcoin is good at is the global network of miners. People have invested millions of dollars to setup their mining operations across the world. They are the backbone of bitcoin and because of them bitcoin is the strongest cryptocurrency in the market if we look at its demand and supply.

That's why it is preferable in most of the cases where cryptocurrency is required. The liquidity of bitcoin is highest among its peers. That's what it is, really!

I agree with your statements.

The reason on why BTC is the preferred investment is due to its price on the market. With that kind of market cap and resource, its inflationary nature is to be preferred by either short/long-term investors in the market. But, given the fact that there are also some altcoins that show potential, diversifying your investments would be a better choice in order to maximize profits.

Like what they say, do not put all your eggs in one basket. Diversify and study the market in order to lessen the risk and maximize your profits.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: December 03, 2022, 11:01:47 PM
<..snip..>
The man's reasoning is reasonable, but in my personal opinion this is an irresponsible act, he should as a husband, be honest with his wife or children and even if they turn into lazy, he just needs to educate them hard.

what do you think, is the man's action right or if you experience it (win a big jackpot) will you do as the man did or even be honest with your victory to your family??

Well, given that he has a family already, then his obligation must be centered around providing for his family. The fact that he wore a disguise and reasoned  that his wife/children may get his money speak on his overall lifestyle- but maybe there are reasons more than meets the eye in this situation.

Remember that Chinese people are notorious for their money tactics. They love businesses and money-making schemes where they are well-known around the globe for their thirst for money. Maybe this father has to discipline his family in order not to fall from the greediness on resources. Though the reasoning he provided is shallow, I still believe that he has other justifiable reasons for doing so.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under-age gamblers on: December 03, 2022, 10:50:56 PM
<..snip..>
And am just curious if this won't affect the person in times to come

Just like any other addiction, it starts with developing a habit. Then once you continuously do your habit, it becomes a discipline where you integrate it to your daily lives at least everyday. The problem with under-age gamblers is that they are very fragile and sensitive when it comes to their influences. At a very young age, they should be focusing on their career paths/goals and gambling is one of those potentially destructive activity that can hinder them from achieving their goal due to its nature.

There is a reason on why gambling is only allowed 18+ or the age of majority in our respective countries as this is considered the age of full discretion. If under-age gamblers become victim of this activity, then their welfare is definitely in danger of being hindered detrimentally.
