Maybe all the boards caught fire due to "bad" PSUs and the Halon system engaged.

HA! Yeah that's a good guess.

Their portal website is still up and running. I can change pools and etc but nothing happens.

It goes from pending to running when i change it but nothing connects on the pool page.

Eligius lost about almost 130TH/s in the last 15mins. Wow. I'm guessing all of that is KNC's.

Now I want to know how a whole datacenter went down for knc hosted customers LOL.

Or is there some maint I'm not aware of.

Looking at mine. It's 0GH/s. Looking at bargraphics. He went from 4.5TH/s to 500GH/s. Which is pretty strange. He still has one miner up and running out of 10.

Mmm seems like he's slowly going down to 0GH/s now.

They should just get out of the data center business and stick to what they are good at.  Making miners and ignoring customers.

Well I'm just looking at miner stats for KNC miners on Eligius. Not sure about the other pools.

Or maybe Eligius is getting Ddos'd or have some server issues?

Anyone can confirm anything on other pools?

Mmm it could be just Eligius is having problems. They've lost almost 95% of their hashing power.

I hope KNCminer is going to make something like the BFL Monarch. I would be the first to order it.

It won't be worth it by March/April.  Whatever $/GH might sound good on paper now will be worthless because everyone else will jump in on it too.  It's a mug's game.  Mining was only really worth it prior to the price explosion earlier this year before everyone and their dog wanted a piece.  The FPGA era was the last time this would be profitable for the average person...if u didn't sell.  The real winners are CPU/GPU...again, if they didn't sell.

I have a plan for March/April on my (maybe by then hopelessly ouctclassed knc units and of course beyond dead bfl units) ie

ASICCOIN
( no idea really but some guy made a coin with this in mind)

no seriously...on a side note do you really think people when  their asic miner knc version is no longer profitable they are going to put it in a closet...no they will mine something for the heck of it imho

what do you think..enough old asic machines to lever some other alt coin up out of obscurity and if so which one?

(of course my logic is obviously flawed.....but then again if btc goes up and alt coins are a relationship with btc and perceived use ..er maybe something will crop up worh mining then beyond btc?)

again I accept all responsibility for my cluelessness ....just throwing it out there

DHenson... You can find out if there is another instance of cgminer running by using putty ... a second instance of putty if you are already using putty, to ssh into the command line, and do a      screen -r

Thanks for twisting that knife man. lol

I KNOW WHY PEOPLE HAVE NOT GOTTEN THEIR MINERS YET.

"This has been a very steep learning curve and we have adjusted the manufacturing process to be able to produce more boxes per day to try and catch up with the backlog."

KNC host portal just shitted itself since 15mins ago lol. PHP out of memory / errors and shit.

I'm guessing because of Eligius getting ddos'd or having server issues, everyone loggin in at once and trying to change pool.

So goodluck to anyone who wants to login or change pools Tongue

That blows.  Glad I decided to host mine myself instead of with them.

I doubt that is the case at all Roll Eyes

And yes, their pool/portal page is still throwing PHP errors.

Just had a very positive conversation with Customer Support.  The guy I spoke with actually took notes of my symptoms and seemed to be taking the issue seriously.

Here's to hoping I wake up in the morning to a fully functional hosted Jupiter!
