When 3.0?
Version 2.9.e works super it is too early for phoenixminer version 3.0. it is possible with phoenixminer dual mining ETH and another coin UBiQ simultaneously with cpu mining myriad yesscript..With every version with very small adjustments it certainly does not come up with a version that can do more than other miners like Claymore. Phoenixsminer is still based on the Genoil miner, even Ethminer has changed many times and starts much faster. Therefore, wait a bit longer but come with a version 3.0 with a big change. WiNEther Miner is a graphical interface to use with ethminer with advanced watchdog options and monitoring................. . .. Download : https://mirrorace.com/m/1qikt

Hi, can you update with an argument to make the fee act every 12 or 24hours? You can enable the dev fee as soon as the miner starts for the equivalent time and then the miner run the specified hours without have to change DAG.. If you make it as argument, people can use it if want or not The DAG switches of the devfee can be avoided if you mine one of the supported coins (see the documentation of the -coin option in the first post). We will add a lot more ethash based coins in the next release. If the coin you want to mine is not supported yet, you can use -coin to choose a coin with smaller DAG for devfee. Hello team, Fast questions:
Is there a reason for this option to always be "0" ??
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
Are there any advantages if we set it to "1" instead?
Thank you for this excellent miner!
In most cases this doesn't have any effect as the miner sets it internally to the optimal value. So, you don't even have to specify it any more in the .bat file. There is no harm in specifying it though and there might be cases where it can help. Dr. PhoenixMiner,
Could you add the a little bit options to ur miner for Nvidia cards? Such as: -fanmin -fanmax -tmax -powlim -cclock -mclock
And one great option for AMD cards - enable compute mod by adding option -y into the bat? Not only typing key "y".
Claymore recently added these options. Next step is yours. I love ur miner for stability and hashrate. But I believe that these options can improve miner's positions.
We are working on OC settings for Nvidia cards but they won't be ready for the next version. As for the -y option - it will probably be ready for the next version. Hello Developer, Great miner I/we really appreciate the work you have put into it. With that said, I have been using PM since 2.2 I think, although I do like the auto -dcri feature Claymore uses now, so I do cheat every now and then and sneak back to Claymore, it's like an old dirty whore, you know, anyways end up going back, well maybe not, anyways, I digress... I would like to request an expansion of a current feature. Your -coin feature is great but I only solo mine to geth and with that said I typically solo mine the lower difficulty coins I think might have a shot of increasing in price, someday. With that said, you do include a few good coins in your -coin feature but if you could include ALL coins on the Minerpool.net splash screen, that would be great! https://minerpool.net/This would provide a much greater DAG coverage for that feature, I know its pretty miner (pun intended) request but maybe someday, it would be nice to have more coverage. Thanks again! The auto-tune functionality will be ready for PhoenixMiner 3.0, so we hope you'll have one less reason to ... umm, cheat As for the direct support for new ethash-based coins, yes, we will add support for pretty much everything from minerpool.net. When 3.0 ?
Not too soon because we have some big changes for this one.

My first post so I may not be taking seriously but I installed the latest drivers on my 1070 rig and the hash rates dropped on all cards by ~10% Anyone else had an issue, or even anyone with 1070's where its fine?

I see some use the pause at the end of their startup .bat file, what does that command do? And also is the setx commands needed?

It allows to view the command output of the startup/restart script. It is particularly handy when the script fails or PhoenixMiner startup fails for debugging purposes.

To any Nvidia 1080 or 1080it owners check out OhgodETHlargement pill. its an app in background that supposedly can push you to around 54 mhs. I use amd so out of luck. Curious to see if it indeed affects PM hash rates. glta

Hello all, I'm trying my hand at Whale Coin mining, but I can't seem to connect to the server. Please help. Here's the config.txt, please let me know if you see anything funky. Try with -fanmin 90 -fanmax 95 and see if it does anything, but it should resolve the issue. Watch out for the syntax!

Hello, I'm using 2 RX 580 GPUs When I use -clKernel 0 The hash rate moves up & down, most of time it is showing 64 MH/s, sometimes go down to 58 MH/s The average 5 min. is just above 58 MH/s When I use -clKernel 1 The hash rate is more stable, most of the time is 60 MH/s sometimes go down to 59.7 or so The average 5 min. is about 59.8 With kernel 0, looking at it, the average appears to be over 62 MH/s What I must believe the 5min. average or what I see on the screen? Could the average 5 min. with kernel 0 be wrong? & why just after starting miner it tell me the 5 min. average when I have been only mining for 1 min. or even less? Thank you. https://fotos.subefotos.com/33477a907623ed0d4f1ae7651beadd54o.jpg

According to the documentation: "Hardware control options (AMD cards only; use comma to specify different values for each GPU):" We might therefore assume that single value stands for all cards. I have observed that "-tt 60" option does not work and got it working with setting an individual value for each card like: "-tt 60,60,60,60,60,60,60,60" on the 8 AMD rig. Not sure if this is a "bug" or intended behavior; the supplied readme.txt (the documentation) is not clear on the details. My understanding of the temperature management in PhoenixMiner is that you need to setup a target temperature (-tt) before you can utilise other temperature parameters such as -fanmin, -fanmax, -tmax... So give next options a try (taking into the account you have 12 amd GPUs): -tt 60,60,60,60,60,60,60,60,60,60,60,60, -fanmin 90,90,90,90,90,90,90,90,90,90,90,90 BTW: Using -fanmin 90 is in my opinion not the best approach in keeping the temperature as steady as possible. It will introduce higher than optimal temperature fluctuation which is bad for the hardware. The "default" is in my opinion optimal -fanmin 0 and -fanmax 100 leaving the miner a full flexibility on managing the target temperature of the GPUs using the build in temperature/fan curve. PH does not document how it does the temperature management so we do not know what exactly will the "-fanmin 90" do in terms of temperature management.

Could the average 5 min. with kernel 0 be wrong? & why just after starting miner it tell me the 5 min. average when I have been only mining for 1 min. or even less? Thank you. Over time the higher the average the more shares you find. You can also use "-dcri" to optimise your hashing rate. In PH 3.0 this will be automatically tuned for best param like in the Claymore - a promised feature of the PH developer. For now do it manually. It might increase your hash even further and bring more stable hash rate on default kernel. High hash rate fluctuation (several MH/s) is an indication of overclocked setup. The card is attempting to compute at the maximum speed but at times it throttles down due to the increased temperature or other factors internally managed by the GPU bios. There are quite few things you can do to address this. Rig cooling - add external fans, reduce core/mem clocks, manage ambient and rig (gpu) temperature ... When you start the miner the average is calculated with the available data. In the first few minutes that is less than 5 minutes of data regardless of the listed "(5 min)".
