A very bad result for Nigeria and now they are risking to miss seriously the World Cup for the next time in a row after they missed Qatar World Cup in 2022!
Nigeria are the 4th in Group G, they are 6 points away for South Africa and with only 4 rounds left, let's assume in the best scenario that Super Eagles will manage to secure the second place and collect 19 points (won't happen by the way). Now they have to be one of the 4 best second team to play play-offs and win it to pick the last ticket. Worst of the worst, there is already 4 best teams having between 12 and 15 points), these teams needs at least 7 points in 4 games to secure a spot for play-offs. Just to remind that Nigeria has only 7 points for the moment...

Nigerian players never really played with any seriousness right from the beginning of the World Cup qualifying series. Imagine playing 6 games and just winning only one match isn't it ridiculous for a country that has so many great talents who are performing so well in their respective European leagues, it's such a shame on them. South Africa and Nigeria are the only two strongest countries in Group C but South Africa proved they are strong and topping the table while Nigeria is stagnant in the 4th position when countries like Rwanda and Benin are in 2nd and third position respectively. There is no way those teams that are above 12 points won't increase their points and secure the playoff spots so it's just too bad for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

I don't want to be so negative but Nigeria are required to win all the remaining games and hope for South Africa to lose because going throughout second spot will be a failure in my opinion.

This isn't even about being negative, we are talking about the reality of the game as it stands now because how can they expect South Africa to lose why Nigeria wins all there matches where can that be possible. Nigeria should just consider themselves out of the World Cup tournament for the second consecutive time because their is no magic for them at this point.

Actually Nigeria was dominating at the start of the game especially Osimhen, he did trouble the Zimbabwe goalie did well to hold on during the first half.

Although Zimbabwe counter attack was a really a weary one to deal and I'm disappointed we conceded against them but I anticipated it it in the first half.

Although we could have done better but some of the referee decisions were not fair against Nigeria and was actually annoying to me. To be honest need to do better, I can't stand another World Cup competition without Nigeria.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria has broken the hearts of Nigerians who are expecting a qualification after Nigeria missed out of the world cup in 2022, and they are also at the verge of losing out in the 2026 world cup now because their chances of qualifying have been narrowed after they played draw against an ordinary Zimbabwe. It was really a disappointing game, i just feel for Victor Osimhen who has been giving his best performance to see the Super Eagles qualify, last game against Rwanda he scored a brace, and he also scored the goal of Nigeria that got equalized today and now his efforts seems like it is not yielding fruits. The path to qualification is very difficult for the Super Eagles now as it will depend on a lot of factors before they can qualify for the world cup.

Honestly, I lost confidence in the Nigerian team qualifying for this world cup a long time ago. They started off as very unserious and just recently, they kinda meant business, but today's match, they would've done better. They knew what was at stake if they secured anything less than a win in the match and still they allowed those costly mistakes and worse of it all, allowed Zimbabwe to equalize. The Nigerian team wasn't even in control of the game, Zimbabwe held onto the ball better than the Nigerian team. They were only ahead of Zimbabwe on shots on target and it was three they had. Nigeria hasn't impressed at home so far in this qualifier, they haven't won a game at home and at the same time they haven't also lost at home. The have played 3 draws at home of which they gained 3 points and lost 6 points in the process. It will be difficult for them to qualify as it stands like this now.

If we don't blame them for this reckless performance and chances missed who are we going to blame? The NFF? The Coach? Or the Staff? The Super Eagles are making themselves small when it comes to all the other countries in this qualification, see the likes of Morocco playing now (about to end their game) 4 games 4 wins and they made a great account of themselves in the past world cup, if not for the name Giant of Africa is there anything we can boost of? Is so sad that a team with so much hope could choose to mess up and letting the team we all thought we're better than be at the top of the qualifying group. As it is I don't think we can be seen as the favorite in any game and no country is afraid of playing us with these mistakes.
Super Eagles messed up from the beginning of this qualification but the Eagles had time to make amends before now but they couldn't get the job done, imagine the coach of Zimbabwe saying all he said with so much confidence and his words wasn't mouth making, he sent his boys out on the pitch and they spoilt the party of the Super Eagles, for us to wait for other countries to win or lose before we qualify has been our style so is best they allow S.A to go and show aome seriousness in the world cup instead of the Eagles going their to showcase their new outfit.

We don't understand the real challenges of Nigerian players when they come to represent their country. If they make us satisfied with how they played today, the next match will be disappointing, since Zimbabwe is a team that we cannot beat at home. From the start of the game, I was wondering what might stop them from breaking through the visitor defense and scoring early on in the game.

Osimehn’s efforts for the national team seem to be worthless, this person will give his all to score for the squad, but the rest of the team is unable to maintain the lead and concedes a goal in the last minute of the game. He scored three goals in the last two games to put Nigeria ahead, but the result was disappointing since the defense was unable to stop Zimbabwe from scoring. Chelle replaced Osimehn in the 87th minute of the game, and I expected him to bring in a defender to maintain the three points, but instead he brought in another attacker and conceded a goal three minutes later; resulting in a draw.

Their is absolutely no reason for them not to be able to defeat this Zimbabwe team because if you must qualify for the next edition of the world cup, they must be winning an inferior team like Zimbabwe, no disrespect to them but our super eagles need to prove that they are worthy of a place in the world cup, but with this kind of performance they don't deserve to go anywhere because they are even worse than I initially thought.

I feel really disappointed in the super eagles, and by the look of things, all their hopes is gone because a six point lead between them and south Africa is too big to later cover up considering the few matches remaining, so at this point, all they just have to do is to continue licking our wounds till the next qualifying phase of the next world cup edition, because this particular one is over for them.

A 90 minutes they would have all fall back, the changing they made rob super eagles of wining Zimbabwe, at the 87 minutes was when Zimbabwe was attacking the super eagles so what they just needed was additional assistance to intercept because few defenders was already becoming weak, so defenders was what the eagles wanted because nobody care about if they have to score another goal or not because protecting the they have was the priority, so instead of bringing the defenders,  the coach use Boniface to replace Victor Osimhen and few minutes later they saw the results of what they have done, so actually I understand Victor Osimhen furiousness that he didn't want to listen to anybody's opinion, even when they were trying to calm him, next time the coach will not be too hasty to think about goals than protecting there goalkeeper.

Only if you watched this game live then you would feel the pain of osimien because the backline were so reluctant in letting the goal scorer run with the ball and just slot it pass nwabali which for me also showed poor goalkeeping as the ball went past him under his armpit. The whole match was poor performance especially the midfielder who couldn't make a decisive pass the whole 90 minutes of play because Nigeria didn't have much chances and the one that they managed was converted and now you let go of it all feeling relax.

At this point I think Arsenal is even better than Nigeria Super Eagles because Arsenal always tries to qualify for the Champions League, Super Eagles disgraced our country yesterday but played very poor against Zimbabwe, To be honest, I was very shocked about what happened yesterday because I expect Nigeria Super Eagles to defeat Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe is not strong enough to challenge Nigeria in anywhere and it was a shameful thing seeing Nigeria defeating Rwanda and Nigeria can not defeat Zimbabwe.

I blamed the coach of the Nigeria Super Eagles because he made a very bad decision by removing Osimhen from the match, in every match that Nigeria played Osimhen was the only player who always tried his best and made the other players play their best After removing Osimhen Zimbabwe players start attacking Nigeria very well, not only Osimhen but making that change was a very bad decision, and at this point, I don’t know if Nigeria will qualify for the World Cup, Nigeria did not have a good president and people are hungry and the football that is given us the joy to celebrate our country the players still messed up, I think Nigeria should start using home players it looks like those our players coming from outside are don’t want to help the country.

This is the kind of pain you feel when you are a winner, those other players that are used to losing wasn't that bothered because it's just like a walk in the park for them.
Looking at the current group standing, I would say that for the super eagles of Nigeria, our hopes of qualiifying for the next edition of the world cup is over because it would be extremely difficult to close down the six Point lead the south African team has over us in this few games that are remaining, unless something unexpected and miraculous happen, aside that, they are good as gone, by they way, why would Nigeria be struggling against such an opposition in the first place?
Our midfield was really terrible all game, ndidi is one of the worst midfield player I have seen in recent times in the super eagles because he can't even control a midfield against an opposition that has less quality players, without a single doubt, most of our players are just over hyped because in real sense, they are just full of shit.

With the high morale of expectations from the super eagles after their win over Rwanda, we were expecting them to easily beat the Zimbabwean team. But I was disappointed after the match, especially allowing the Zimbabweans to equalize that one goal, they could have worked away with all the points in that match. Zimbabwe, is a relatively small team compared to the star sturded Nigerian team, and I'm wondering what will happen if they eventually qualify and meet top teams in the world cup finals. By my estimation the previous match was far better than yesterday's match.

Yesterday I watched the Algeria-Mozambique match in Group G. It was a very enjoyable match to watch, but Mozambique, which was second in the group, played very weak football. Algeria won the match 5-1, but could have scored more goals, they missed many goals.

Algeria defeated Mozambique in both matches. There are still 4 matches left, Algeria will most likely come out on top of the group, but I am not sure if Mozambique will be second.

Yesterday, Mozambique was a complete disappointment.
