1021  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 15, 2023, 03:49:25 PM
There is no normal being that loves getting losses on business, career, investment and trades that's why even company holders make financial policies to keep record of investment and profits flows. And unlike other business bitcoin also makes sales and losses if you do not investment wisely....is nice when you put in what can not put you sickbed or gives you hypertension, don't invest out of what you cannot withstand the loss.

Is better to use small money or learn risk management first before investing especially newbies.

In addition to what you stated, always invest the money that you are willing to lose.

I remembered I read this article that once you save your money (e.g. safety deposit box, piggy bank, etc.), you are most likely to spend it. It is highly recommended that you use your spare money for investment purposes in order to maximize the returns that you can potentially earn in the future.

But again, treat your investments as money that can also potentially be a loss in the event of a market crash. That is the reason on why some create a contingency plan in order to at least lessen their losses. At the end of the day, an investment is something that must be followed and reviewed in order to get the most out of it.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin will become stable currency? on: May 15, 2023, 01:37:36 PM

BTC's unpredictable price is also a positive attribute that Bitcoiners like. you can make money out of this inflation. but BTC may not become stable due to the cycles, when the cycles probably are over like all 21M coins are already mined, i think there will be a stability of price.

The volatility of BTC is what makes it attractive to investors, either for short or long-term investment. With its unpredictability, lots of investors take advantage of it in order to focus on investing their money for profit at the end.

If Bitcoin were to be considered stable, then I doubt that its popularity will continue to rise. It may be considered as "digital gold" in which its price is somehow regulated by some authority which makes its price stable in the first place.

Personally, I prefer it to be this way- lots of people speculating and forecasting its price on the market.
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: May 15, 2023, 11:13:58 AM
It has been weeks since Ding won the WCC and he actually faced Nepo once again in Superbet Chess Classic Round 3 in which the game ended in a draw.

Ding fought against Alireza and he lost the match; and Nepo played against Fabi and he also lost the match. Perhaps both players were really exhausted after the WCC and I think this year's candidates would be very interesting. I am just waiting for a match against Magnus and Alireza as both players will show a fantastic battle between them.

What are your thoughts on the matches of Nepo and Ding in Superbet Chess Classic? Does it really show that they are indeed exhausted and they need a break from chess to rest?
1024  Economy / Economics / Re: marry rich: marry fiat rich or crypto rich, which is better? on: May 15, 2023, 04:26:47 AM
......
So back to question. which is preferred? Married to fiat rich or crypto rich? Although crypto can be created at the comfort of your basement, also the value would plummet quickly to near zero too ... etc.

Personally, I would prefer to be married to a rich person with lots of fiat reserves compared to cryptocurrencies.

Remember that being rich in cryptocurrencies mean that their resources are somehow unpredictable- if the prices drop in the market, then such person could lose 50% of the total value of their cryptocurrencies. On the other hand, if a person is rich with fiat, at least, the money that she has is stable and she could venture and diversify the investments.

Remember that being rich in cryptocurrencies can be misleading. Until they have converted their cryptos to cash, then that is the only time you would consider them rich to begin with.
1025  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational Parade on: May 14, 2023, 11:55:30 PM
I also think that such parades do not help to reduce gambling addiction among the population, on the contrary, it can draw attention to gambling to those who are far from it. Very often an anti-advertisement is a good advertisement for a certain circle of people. At least I am sure that such a parade will definitely attract the attention of teenagers, and they are likely to misunderstand such an initiative.

I agree with your statement.

With parades like these, they actually bring more harm than good as it exposes and somehow advertises the usage of slots. Indirectly, they are also advertising gambling in the process by making an activity about it. When people become curious, they would search and look for it, thereby increasing the chances of people gambling in the process.

Parades such as this one should be prohibited as it confuses the general public. Moreover, the context of such parade is very unclear and could potentially be harmful.
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Third graders and Bitcoin on: May 14, 2023, 11:33:49 PM
I had a math class with third graders of which we discussed money I told them about virtual and real money of which I was very shocked and happy that they had knowledge about Bitcoin.
However we ended the class after we had spoken alot about Bitcoin they were soo happy and loved the class also
Like wow being with the kids was a nice time for them and I to get to know Bitcoin better look forward to having a class with them next week

A third-grader who knows about the existence of BTC? That is indeed surprising! But how did these kids view BTC? Did they mention anything positive or negative about it? How did they understand the concept behind the usage of BTC also?

Personally, understanding the fundamentals of BTC can be challenging especially for children due to the complexity of the concepts. It is possible that these kids may heard about BTC but they do not entirely understand the concept behind it.

I guess it is good that they know about BTC but I doubt that they fully comprehend about it. Though this may be the case, like what most have mentioned, teach 'em young!
1027  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is going to be the faith of other currencies in time to come. on: May 14, 2023, 10:41:30 PM
I do not think that there will be a shift from traditional fiat currencies to digital currencies anytime soon. This is so because the technology that demands for the use of such digital technology is vast, to the point that you would need every person to have access to the following:

  • Stable internet connection;
  • Cellphone; and
  • Software

Given the fact that majority of the population composes of countries that are underdeveloped and developing, the. demand for such technology is wanting. There are even people who do not have access to clean water and education, let alone having to provide them the needs of having such luxury. If this were to be implemented, this would heavily prejudice these people thereby making them poorer in the process.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: May 14, 2023, 06:02:36 PM
I do agree with you.... bigger sites are losing touch with the smaller gamblers, because they focus too much on the highrollers. It's unfortunate that smaller gamblers are being neglected, because several 100's of smaller gamblers ..make up 1 or 2 highrollers.  Tongue
This is to be expected, a casino is a business and while it will try to satisfy all its customers if given the choice it will focus way more on the whales, since it is easier to satisfy a single customer than hundreds of them.

Still I would say that the experience I get on the casinos in which I pay is still very favorable, and while the bonuses are not out of this world when I compare them to what a whale can receive, this is still better than receiving no bonus at all.

I think the answer depends upon the frequency on how a person gambles within a given time-frame.

For example, if a person gambles intermittently, then it is recommended that they explore and try to gamble on minor gambling websites that offer relatively high bonuses compared to other gambling websites. On the other hand, if a person frequently gambles, then it is highly advisable that they build their account in a highly-reputable gambling website for their security and loyalty bonuses.

Personally, I still prefer to gamble on major gambling websites due to the security that they offer. Even if they require KYC, there is still that sense of security that one may feel when they gamble on their platform.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sending bank statement for verification on: May 14, 2023, 04:15:00 PM
Quote
is it safe to share bank account statement for verification purposes?  the site is reputable
You already have said yourself that the website you are talking about for verification is reputable. Now by reputable, I think you mean that the website is famous and it is sponsoring some famous football teams around the world. Your data sharing is in your hand and your call. No one here can force you to share it. If you want to get KYCed, you share it.

I agree with your statement- if the casino is reputable enough and it also has a consistent advertisement in this forum, then you are relative safe in sharing your personal information (including your bank statements) to them.

OP you mentioned about 10 banking days but you replied that it has been "10 days" since. Be reminded that 10 banking days usually mean about two (2) weeks since it excludes Saturdays and Sundays on the count.

If it has been two (2) weeks or 10 banking days and you still haven't received your deposits, then I suggest that you comply with their order or you can message/ask their representative in this forum (if they have) for general inquiries and status of your concern.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 13, 2023, 11:57:51 PM
....
Aside from the bitcoin investment, I think it's important for you now to have some savings. You probably won't need it now, but you may need it in the future for emergencies. Because your bitcoin investment doesn't always give a positive return, there will come a time when our portfolio loses, and we won't want to use it.

I definitely agree with your statement.

Investing in BTC offers potentially high returns than investing in banks. Investing in banks offer relatively low interest rates as you need to have a huge capital in order to at least see the interest rates profit. BTC investing, on the other hand, has the potential of skyrocketing your investments in a shorter amount of time but this will depend on several factors that you have to be alert about.

As a student, it is important that you at least have two (2) platforms for investment as you diversify your investment portfolio. Though it may still be acceptable to focus on just one, diversifying is still recommended in order to get the maximum returns for long-term investment.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 13, 2023, 11:47:11 PM
So there you have it- I have lost around $100 betting on GSW this season but everything is all good. Their playoff performance was at least worthwhile watching but they just fell short against the Lakers.

On game 6, I was seriously hoping for a "game 6 Klay" but it did not happen. Lebron James and Davis are just too strong, with the former being so formidable and almost unguardable with his physique. I was also hoping like at the back of my mind that GSW would take revenge on their 2016 performance where they blew a 3-1 lead against the Cavs and they would also be able to do it this season.

Hopefully next season, things would change in GSW and trades would happen. Since my team is now eliminated, I am hoping for the Heat or the LAL to win this season! Though this may be the case, I would not gamble any more money for the meantime after experiencing this loss.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 13, 2023, 10:38:29 PM
Just to add, never neglect and push away your peers/family whenever you are addicted to gambling. They are the first ones that will help you overcome this kind of addiction as they will support and do their best in order to address your issue.

Another thing, I also advise to gambling addicts that the first step in overcoming their addiction is by acknowledging that they indeed are addicted to the game. Once they accept this fact, they can now move on explore different activities that can help them in overcoming this addiction.

I would say be aware of the negative consequences of gambling as well while you are about to gamble cause most people get inspired by big wins in the gambling industry but they fail to notice what happened to the majority of people so just play for fun.

Mainly I wanted to say don't chase your loss because it is one of the deadly things we do to ourselves while gambling since the day isn't going in our way betting more money will lead us to lose more money.
Chasing big winning have caused more harm than good in recent time and for that,  it is advisable never to put high hope on gambling,  I wonder how people forget too soon what the term gambling stands for and want to beat the house to it by hitting the high row.

Gambling is a game of luck,  and only those with high luck will win in the end there is no guarantee as to how much one can win so having the mindset of winning big in gambling will lea lead to a worst-case scenario and possibly addictions,  this is why gambling should be done based on some form of restrictions along the way.

In addition to what you mentioned, I think it is also advisable for people to remove their perception about gambling as a game for "profit." Instead, they should view gambling as an activity where they can feel adrenaline, instead of a money-making venture.
1033  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇BEST CASINO IN 2023 - Community decide🥇 on: May 12, 2023, 11:57:35 PM
There are a lot of things that are needed to be considered when deciding which casino is actually the best, starting from the user interface and how user-friendly the platform is, how it treats its customers, what kind of games it offers (especially originals), whether it offers all kinds of gambling including sports betting, live betting, etc.

And on top of everything, whether it has a good reputation and trust among the community or not, and considering all these points, I would definitely go with Stake, it has got almost everything that I mentioned.

If I can suggest something, it would be better if you can provide a hyperlink for every casino listed in your thread, OP.

For example, if you click on this link, DUELBITS, it will directly transfer you to their ANN thread with ease and convenience. This would give the general viewers a brief background and impression regarding the certain gambling website and if they are currently active in a corresponding signature campaign.

Though this may require some time and effort, I believe that it would be worth it given that we are voting for the best casino this 2023.
1034  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which of this is plagiarism ? on: May 12, 2023, 11:41:07 PM
Including all sources in text or images is fine, it can be proof that you got the information from the internet.
what's not really allowed is creating posts with AI or responding to questions with AI. it is strictly prohibited at this time. although it is not detected as plagiarism, but it is the result of AI bots. This forum is not made for bots but for humans to interact with each other.

Imagine if this forum was taken over by AI-generated replies. This will definitely remove the interaction between persons as AIs would be the one discussing among themselves about a certain topic.

As regards with plagiarism, I do recommend that if you are going to post any picture that is taken online, add the reference below for safety and security. In addition, if you are also going to use words taken from the internet, I suggest putting the text in a
Code:
code -format for easier reference and visual impact on the reader.

1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fate of BTC payment now on: May 12, 2023, 11:20:22 PM
For the first time since 2022 I have officially put an end to Bitcoin payments on my business until further notice, I have gave few people some discount advantages to spread news about Bitcoin and now I am not so sure anymore, I can't even afford $5 per Bitcoin transaction, and also my customers that are surety when it comes to Bitcoin payment have all halt.

Ordinals looks like it's here to stay, I don't believe that Ordinals is like ICO because they are different. And Ordinals came in a bear market, imagine what this will do to Bitcoin in a bull market.

Is there any business owners accepting Bitcoin still? How are you doing it? Is there any way to go around this? I will appreciate, because I don't want to stop accepting Bitcoin, I have my long term plan and accepting Bitcoin as payment have helped so far.

Op the transaction fee of bitcoin has come down so your business customers can continue the payment method of bitcoin. The fee price as for now is 0.00002963. the only bad news right now the price of bitcoin. Bitcoin price right now is $26,400.
You giving discount for bitcoin payment can't spread the news of bitcoin but can only give the news of your business. With the transaction fees in bitcoin, you can't give discount on bitcoin payment but you can give a bonus. Your bitcoin acceptance business is not clear to me. The thread is looking for another thing here.

There are other ways in order to combat high transaction fees. I agree- it is heavily congested which resulted to high fees nowadays but one way in order to combat this kind of problem is by switching your payments from weekly to bi-weekly. With this, you can save at least some money in the process if you send/use BTCs regularly. In this way, you can mitigate the costs as this would impact your business.

While this may be the current state, I do think that this is only temporary- it will not last that long that TX fees are high on the market. Everyone is currently facing this world-wide problem and everyone is also thinking of solutions to at least reduce the cost.
1036  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: May 12, 2023, 11:03:56 PM
What's going on behind all these cuts and cuts ... is it something bigger? is Binance in trouble? just preparing for rainy days? or is it simply about profits?

Is anyone else feeling like something is wrong here?
There’s a threat of recession and USA is not doing good when it comes to their financial and economic policies, probably those big companies are just trying to survive and cutting their cost is one way to help they stay in operation. With regards to stake cutting the bonuses, they can’t just do this for a long time when the numbers of players are declining or the result is not on their side, crypto companies also need to balance everything. There’s a something going on that we may not know, only those developers knows what is coming.

I agree with your statement. I guess Stake has observed that they cannot maintain their operations if they continually provide bonuses before due to the recession happening. With this in mind, they cannot sustain what they have previously offered even if they wanted to keep such bonuses and other games available.

At this point, they are really trying to survive and offer their website as much as possible. The problem with this change is that people would take this as a disadvantage and assume different conclusions.

Personally if this were to happen to me, I would definitely consider looking for another gambling website that offers superior bonuses compared to Stake, though their security is still unparalleled compared to others.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another betting fraud in Brazil - part 2 on: May 12, 2023, 04:27:55 PM

It will be very difficult to fight the "cartels" involved in match fixing. Unfortunately, this is not just a Brazilian problem, it is a global problem from Asia to Europe to South America it is rampant. There may even be international rings involved in this. For example despite gambling being illegal in India, there are still reported cases of match fixing that occurs in cricket. A great solution to this is that sports budget should be increased so that players in smaller leagues would get better renumeration.

I agree every country has its own gambling lords and organized mafias to control gambling betting through game fixing, these mafias have contacts and money to lure top players and even officials to connive and fix the matches, this betting fraud in Brazil game fixing has their version in many countries, they are not yet exposed but it really is happening, many sports commissions are aware of game fixing but the mafias have control on some media for it not to leak.
Every country has its own watchdog but sometimes the watchdogs are on the payroll of these mafias.

These are the kinds of problems that the government must deal with. This is outside the scope of any normal person to overcome as these cartels are definitely powerful and dangerous. Since they control majority of these platforms, they can manipulate the outcome to their liking, thereby making gambling a business venture on their end.

Unfortunately for us normal individuals, we really cannot do anything about it but to avoid engaging into their controlled casino. The more a person fights or attempts to show restraint, the more risk you put on your own life with it.
1038  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can a beginner in the forum significantly grow? on: May 11, 2023, 11:35:06 PM
As a beginner that wants to significantly grow his knowledge about BTC in particular and cryptocurrency in general so as to be able to make meaningful contributions to the forum, which of the boards and threads am I expected to regularly visit and read about them in the forum please

If there is a certain topic that you want to understand fully, what steps must you do to achieve such purpose?

Since understanding the fundamentals of cryptocurrency can be technically challenging, there are tons of materials available across the web for your reference. In addition, I also suggest watching videos online (especially in Ted Talk) as there are tons of videos who simplify the explanation and understanding of BTC.

When you understand the basics of it, then you are now able to at least create meaningful discussions with people in this forum depending on the forum topic posted.
1039  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: May 10, 2023, 11:57:26 PM
I find this interesting as there a way in order to manipulate roulettes. With the technology used and the materials placed on the board, I find it very intriguing that certain factors can help manipulate the outcome in order to gain a big advantage for the casino to play.

Is there some verified information about this? I am very interested to read more as it can lead to serious manipulation that may hold the casino accountable, if proven guilty. Though this may be the case, I still find roulettes intimidating in nature due to the luck that is involved in this type of game.
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: May 10, 2023, 11:22:07 PM
That “press conference” was embarrassing. Even Nate was dissing it and left to use the bathroom during it. Probably to get high and make sitting there bearable. I think that people are getting tired of Jake Paul. I think he was exposed during his last fight and his Cinderella story has ended. He might beat Nate only because Nate probably won’t take it seriously. I’m not sure I care anymore.

Not to mention, that face-off was awkward as hell. I guess this is the way it goes when they talk about the fight being a business scheme where both of them would profit at the end of the day.

I agree with the point you raised- Jake Paul is not that relevant to the point that it would become a massive event unlike before. I guess his era of Cinderella story is over and people are somehow expecting him to just watch an average fight take place against a veteran in this field.

Will you guys watch this match and put your bets on either of the players? If yes, who would you put/bet your money on?
