Hmmm.
1482  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: AMT fucks us over again on: June 07, 2014, 04:48:09 PM
Just got off the phone with the Jenkintown's PD, and they're taking Joshua's threat toward me rather serious and wanted me to confirm that if this were to go to trial would I be willing to travel to PA to testify, of which I replied in the affirmative.

I'm sure that Joshua Zipkin will go outta his way and explain to the officer that I'm sort of WHAT NUT.

Josh Zipkin has nobody to blame but himself for fucking up his company and now his life (personal/financially, not to mention that of his two partners).

If, by chance, Josh claims that some other person at AMT penned the threat, I will then demand that his computers be confiscated to verify who said what when.

~Bruno Kucinskas

What death threat? If it is the one where he states you will pay for what you have done that is not a death threat and it could blow back on you as filing a false report. Not to mention the fact you have been posting anti-semtic remarks....also you plan on addressing my post to you? I guess you wont just like sirmineslaot didn't either and stopped coincidentally posting. You are quick on reacting to their posts but I am calling you out and you don't remark on that?? One would need to question if you really are this altrustic corporate hunter. Whats your excuse for posting up here? Even before they gave you the miners and promised you 30BTC you were posting. Your posts have all the earmarks of a smear campaign. I use to work in marketing I know what those tactics look like.

I tried emailing the RMA email three times. It failed each time. I haven't even received the 1.2TH/a unit I ordered on December 3rd, over six months ago. Can I just have my $6000 back? Pretty much any other company will allow you to cancel an order and you get your money back. Can I please just have my money back, PLEASE? I think that's a fair request. It didn't take me six months to give the money to AMT. I sent it instantaneously, in one lump sum. I don't think it's too much to ask. It was my money to begin with, and I just want it back since I have not gotten what was promised to me and pretty much everyone else who ordered. Why is that such a difficult thing to get? If I buy anything from pretty much anywhere, I can cancel my order or return the product and get a full refund either way.

Me and basically every other customer have been treated poorly and unfairly for virtually the entire time we have been dealing with this mess. Me personally, I just want my money back. I paid almost $8000 over six months ago and have essentially jack shit to show for it. If any legitimate company did this, compensation would be given immediately for the poor handling of the order, extremely poor customer service, horrendous product quality, and the outright lying to the public. I would please like to cancel my order and receive my full refund via bank transfer, personal check, money order, etc. I will even fly up there from Florida just to do a cash transaction and be done with this nightmare. No bitcoins, no virtual currency, none of that shit. I would just like my refund in United States Dollars. PLEASE, just let me be done with this mess and move on with my life. This has gone on for so long. That's all I want. This situation had plagued my life for long enough. I just want to be  compensated so I may be rid of the whole thing.

Hate to say it, bud, but Joshua Zipkin of AMT, son of Harrison Zachariah Zipkin, not only scammed millions of dollars from the Bitcoin community, but has resorted to threatening to kill people because in his mind he feels that they are the ones that destroyed AMT, not him, for it's the Jewish Bulgarian Freemasons' way of doing things.

What does his father, and him being a Bulgarian Jew or a Mason have to do with any of this? Just seems like a way to make this a very easy way to SEO his name and smear it. That info has absolutely NOTHING to do with the many other issues going on. His business degree where he went to college is irrelevant....Bill Gates dropped out of college. Steve Jobs dropped out. I am not saying he is like either of those notable people, BUT the college thing is just irrelevant. People can be successful without the college degree (where did you go to college BTW?). I don't know how many MBA's I have worked with who are complete morons. I have interviewed people with Stanford and MIT degrees that have book smarts but no other skills. Again you are smearing him based on irrelevant information.....stick to the actionable facts we have now if you are hellbent on doing so. We have broken miners, undelivered hardware....those are things that make more sense, which btw they are in process of rectifying. Instead you seem to optimize his personal information to smear him via google. Its your posts that show up.....you and sirminesalot....his lame ass excuse was..a "friend" (only way someone is that motivated is if that friend is paying you or giving you sexual favors) plus again...friend can speak for themselves too.... you too are an overly motivated person to do what you have done.....so who is paying you? This is highly suspicious because you very conveniently format things for that. Its too much motivation to believe you do this out of some sense of altruism. Too much motivation to believe this is not financially motivated in some way. You also appear to have the google-fu skills to look up the information...resourceful and way too motivated. Someone who has alot of experience with this and time....so unless you are Bruce Wayne and are sitting atop a shitheap of money and time, I am pretty sure you are a paid shill...again the pieces add up too well, you might want to prove how you are not a paid shill, but honestly I don't think you can.

Those of us who actually got screwed here are paying the price for you guys trashing them with your conveniently SEO formatted posts. I didn't catch it before but its become glaringly obvious. If the company goes into receivership or he goes to jail the middlemen and other creditors get first dibs...we get the crumbs off the table after that. We get shit....I and a few others are working to make sure this issue is solved in the background. Everyone who is bitching here has something they lost here....at one point I was not sure who to believe.....but I am now just believing the facts. Fact is you have no obvious motive to be here. YOu did not order a miner from AMT...from day1 you started you pretty much have been on them. So why are you REALLY here? I am not defending them at all just....I and everyone else am fully aware they fucked up. They also know they have alot to lose here on alot of levels. But it does not help having someone instigate a virtual lynch mob....we the customers are trying to get results by various means. You and sirminesalot (who I suspect are paid by someone) have no business being here. loshia I do not think is one BUT also contributes nothing either and has no business being here. Let the customers handle this. We are already handling it and are starting to see results. We get pissed off when AMT drops the communication ball....so we react and then they react. Ebb and flow of things right now. They know the consequences if they dont address this and we know it. No sense in beating the dead horse. Alternately you have added nothing but racism and hate by implying that because he is a Bulgarian masonic Jew there is something wrong with that. Who the fuck cares!? He could be a Hari Krishna or Mormon or anything else....good people bad people exist in ALL faiths and races and even those without faith can be good/bad. Your distinction is a false one and misleading and insulting to people of those groups.

Can you bold the remarks for us? Like to see where this pattern of racism from PG goes. Seeing as we have seen it before be good to catalog it all. There is zero room for that sort ignorance.

I wouldn't be so sure about Loshia. There are obviously direct ties to Marto and he does tend to troll in one direction for technobit for some odd reason. You might want to check into that further.

LOL, you forgot BFL.

Yes he should really update the community on the fact they failed to deliver as promised and had yet more delays. And remove your negative trust rating now you have recanted as a BFL stooge.
1484  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Novello Technologies new Mining System Project, prices as low as $0.3/GH on: June 07, 2014, 03:12:02 PM
I'm not a fan of this. The market is moving on from preorders (or trying to), and this is a pre of a pre of a preorder. The chances of actually ending up with a mass marketed manufacturer on time are less than 20%.

Hello Dogie, thanks for your post and input.

This isn't exactly mass manufacturing, but if you look at our FAQ's we've already said that it's a lot of systems to ship in a small(ish timeframe. It would be true if you has never been involved in such projects before and so didn't know what pitfalls or problems there might, but if you have experience and the correctset of skills, particularly product engineering and a set of known and trusted supplies and subcontractors, there's a very good chance that the whole process can run very smoothly.

We also said that most of the non-custom build would be done before we get the asic'c back, that includes the enclosures, PSU's, the controller boards and the DC-DC converters. Because our systems are modular, all these parts can be assembled and tested without the asic, in particular the Pi and it's ability to connect properly to the network. It can 'practice' mine with no asic just to test things out. The DC-DC converters can be burnt-in with dummy loads, ditto the PSU's.

The actual hashing modules will be built for us by a subcontractor. The on board MC can test functionality with having to be fixed into a system, so this speeds things up a lot. Once we have working modules, they get fixed into the rigs and get a full test with the network.

Hope this addresses your concerns.

This is the same thing which has been said for each of the 20 ASIC launches I've witnessed over the last year. What if your DC-DC efficiency comes back terrible on the first boards? What if your chip power consumption comes in just 20% over? Each of these requires a new PCB revision, new testing, new 'has our power plane melted', new production runs and delays.

I'm not going to be actively following this thread for a while as its more of a security than hardware.

This is the reason why you need to state who it is and what experience your teams has if anyone is going to believe you can pull this off. I have to agree Dogie this is a security not a hardware post.

loshia... I think you should leave this thread.

you are no help.  you are an amateur has never been involved in manufacturing.... so get lost.

never heard of Novello, but at least they take the effort to write a long prospectus.

Ya think?

1488  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Novello Technologies a scam? on: June 07, 2014, 01:40:44 AM
Here is the reality.

Asicminer chips... will flood the market and crash the price of chips. Way less than $1 gh/s chips.
Spoondoolies will lead with even more power efficient chips and even cheaper units to mine with. Less than a $1 per Gh/s for a miner has already happened.
Bitmain will come out with more and more products. Way less than $1 gh/s for a miner.

The rest are irrelevant.

BFL is dead and has nothing to offer anyone anymore. Scam
Cointerra same. Disappointing at the very least.
HashFast same. Chapter 11
KnC builds for themselves.
BitFury builds for others with bigger pockets.
Black Arrow is too far behind to make a recovery.
Innosilicon A1 chips are already unprofitable to anyone building or buying these miners. They are not well engineer chips and could be failure ridden time will tell.

There is little room left for the small players.

Given that those 3 have really delivered and will obviously continue to deliver units and chips the idea that SHA256 coins are something to mine as a hobby or help "secure" the network is fantasy. If you are not building pools or shared datacenters that do PETAHASH now won't compete.

I am not sure what mining will hold for any small user in 2015 but I can predict this:

You won't mine at home.
You won't be buying individual self contained miners.
You won't be air cooling them.
You won't be measuring your mining power in Th/s.

The only game left will be coins that curb the use of ever increasing power and design efficiency / density. If you are still mining BTC at this point you are either still sufficiently invested or are just looking to offload your equipment before it goes obsolete.

The plan these guys at Novello are trying to sell is they can leap frog with 40nm and get you in the game. If you are not buying tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars of miners you won't be in position to "compete". The end game for the individual with shallow pockets is here and most have already jumped over to other coins to "mine".
1489  Other / Meta / Re: Can we make posting 3-10x in a row illegal please? on: June 06, 2014, 01:48:33 PM
it wasn't all junk posts, so i don't mind PG doing all that.. i wouldn't read through all of it though.

They don't need to be junk for it to be spam.... there is no reason he can't edit posts to add more information like the rest of us. That was probably the mildest of his multi posts, just go back through his history. The 11 post streak I remember was literally 2 mins between posts, adding more and more stuff.

I guess for some post count is more important than not spamming everyone else. I have him on ignore but 11 ignores in a row sure takes up half the page.

you have something against old man PG? seems like a few around here do, but there's always drama.

Only his posting habits. Its tiresome going into a thread and seeing the sheer amount of spam when he locks his teeth into something.

Ignore <--- works wonders for spammers.

1491  Other / Meta / Re: Those who are Spamming the trust system. Action needs to be taken! on: June 06, 2014, 10:00:03 AM
If you don't like the Trust system, it's very easy to ignore. I did so many months ago after deciding it was 80% drama and 20% legit. Everyone's 0/0 to me except people I explicitly trust. If you're mixing drama and business, you're doing it wrong.

I am ignoring it.

The Mods are not enforcing their own rules that is the point of this thread and I will keep posting here as more BFL shills multiple accounts add to the list.

I have my +31 and these jokers spamming the trust system all negatives system seems to work fine enough for some. It is blatantly obvious who is abusing the system with spam at this point. I don't care about the numbers I do care they are using it to spam how great BFL is if you do that in PM you certainly get banned. No difference here in the trust system.

If you have done any biz with me you know the score. If you haven't then it doesn't really matter what the numbers are.

The only trust system that is 100% foolproof is trust NO one.

Yup smoothie... that is all true... so where do you go to get that refund? Well just let the court officers know this is the sort of emails you are getting. Let us see how quickly the BFL tune changes. Might be time for ARStechnica to write a new article to include the recent houses and what not bought by BFL shareholders. Nice they have the money to get those nice McMansions but nothing for refunds.

And some still want to trust the new Yifuless Avalon?

Wasn't Yifu the main culprit? If so, a Yifuless Avalon is a good thing, lol.

If that is the case they could clarify that for everyone right?

Yeah, I had trouble ultimately deciding on scoring ngzhang and xiangfu positively while I scored BitSyncom negatively. Ultimately though I went that route because I think ngzhang and xiangfu were the victims here, not the problem (which was BitSyncom/Yifu).

Here's the summary of what happened:

I have a framed shipping note for my FPGAs that I hang in my office to proudly show friends/family that I had ordered some of the first FPGA Bitcoin miners from China in 2011 (These were the Icarus FPGAs). I took a picture of it and wrote a note on it to ngzhang that I thanked him for letting me use his tech and looked forward to using his new ASICs just as I had the FPGAs. It occurred to me while watching a video of Yifu talking about how he had to hide ngzhang due to "death threats" that it is possible they interpreted that silly picture/note as a threat, possibly because it had his home address on it. I'm not sure how someone who could both read English and Chinese could do that, though, because the English note I made should have been clear I was proud to have had been an early miner using Avalon tech. Not only that, but it had MY home address, email, forum name, and phone number on it. If it was a death threat, they could have just reported me :/

When I got my batch 2 miners (non-tradein) they had been pre-configured to mine on Eligius to a specific Bitcoin address that held ~400 BTC at the time I had received them. I'm not sure if the burn-ins for Batch 2 just did that much mining (it's not out of the question that they could have mined so much in such little time back then), or if they were intentionally screwing over customers. My argument in the support ticket was that it looked as if Yifu had intentionally delayed Icarus trade-in deliveries past the April/May date, sold Bitcoin from the June/July chip orders to drop the price from $250 down to $65 or so, then updated the Icarus trade-in prices to have us pay 17 BTC per trade-in. I suggested to use a more current rate as the price of BTC began to soar past $75, $100, then $125 (later hovering around $140ish) in less than a week, since I hadn't gotten any notice they had posted the trade-in info till a week later. I was now being expected to pay ~70 BTC (valued around $10k) to a company that showed it was delaying chip shipments, delaying trade-ins till they had a more favourable exchange rate, and was mining significant amounts of BTC on their customers' hardware. It was very easy to say "no" with zero response coming from them, either through the ticketing system or forums.

Yifu's response was that we were "greedy" in public posts, he never addressed the support ticket, however. From what I understand many trade-in customers never got any notification to send in BTC at all. I feel really sorry for those folks. If I would have done the trade-in, and assuming they sent me the 4 Avalons I would have gotten, I could have turned around and maybe sold them for ~40 BTC each if I did it quickly enough. They would never have mined back what I spent on them, however. ROI was abysmal as priced in BTC. I don't *really* care about the lost BTC, either that which I would have obtained had I finished the trade and resold nor that of the lost 31 BTC from mining/shipping/etc. I care more about the attitude Yifu had in regards to his customers. In the end, I've made far more than I've lost on Bitcoin mining, anyway, and I have ngzhang and xiangfu and a healthy knowledge of GPU over-clocking to thank for that.

Thanks Raize... that is very helpful. Wish it can be backed up from what is left of Avalon. There are many good Engineers who lost everything in the DIY community as a result of the events surrounding the failed chip deliveries.
1496  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Monarch - Delivery Dates on: June 06, 2014, 02:20:23 AM
Of course BFL usually takes it to another level like calling you a pedophile or try to get you fired from your job.
proof, it is just another lie from bicknell who calls people shills and corrupt at random, but never came up with proof for all his calls when asked for, so try again

just read his post history, you will get the picture

Pokokohua!, you called him a pedophile here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=280630.msg6977288#msg6977288

And used his IRL name too. Very bad taste. Nastiest possible smear campaign. What proof do you have for this libel? What motivation do you have for these lies?

This thread is not about Bicknellski, it is about Monarch delivery dates. And yes, we do have proof that they are late because they were planned for delivery in Nov/Dec 2013 and it's now June 2014 and still no Monarchs.

Looool, I just read an article saying that BFL promises that April 2014 was going to be the last set back.

There is not limit to where they can delay this product. Read the way they claim to do the testing. They reserve the right to assign units to you only when they deem them "passed" their QC. Now in a real business you would hope that company doesn't start selling units until they have designed and tested them. Unfortunately the pre-order game that BFL plays hurts the customer on so many levels. The only way to get out from under BFL is litigation or threats of litigation. The best way is NEVER GIVE THEM MONEY. Why would anyone do that given there are working cheaper products off the shelf right now.

Here is the irony about being the focus of BFL's hate mongering and slander is they just drive off more and more potential targets to buy their BS Monarch and their EclipseMC Gigahash Buys. Good grief they haven't even given people the hash rate they promised for cloud mining. Can't they fire up some old tech and make people whole?

What a bunch of crooks.

This slander is intended to misdirect the thread off of the following information:

It could actually be a group of people who all have the best of intentions and there is still little to no chance that it will succeed.
Highly unlikely that anyone there has "best of intentions". The way that the lead figurehead avoids, deflects and attempts to redirect any sort of technical questions is very telling. If you had combined 120 years of experience and even "moderately neutral intentions" someone from that team would be able to post some information how their product is unique, all without disclosing proprietary information. Especially something about "redundant engines" and why they improve mining performance. Remember the old maxim: "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". Thus far you've received two references to college textbooks.

So this is probably a "virtual corporation" (a.k.a. "front") where the key technical information is in the hands of subcontractor and the subcontractor has not been paid yet.

For the picture of what happens when "key technical information is in the hands of subcontractor and the subcontractor has been paid and the contract for exclusivity on the chip deal runs out" see Bitmine.ch. Very very ugly and quite a few people got burned on that and are still being burned.
1498  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Novello Technologies a scam? on: June 05, 2014, 07:06:00 PM
Seeing alot of shady behavior that should make anyone question what the motivation is for some to attack new companies coming on here.

You're joking right?

It is shady behavior for a company with no reputation, no history, and no names to offer preorders for a theoretical product.

It's even shadier to suggest this company is not shady.

With every new post from novello I am more convinced it is a scam.

I'm curious: What is the source of your passion regarding this company or scam?

On the contrary side, seeing how they are calmly answering your questions will put some people at ease about this not being a scam. You were a big BA supporter for a long time, and may still be, and at this time there is no definitive answer about BA being able to deliver what they promised. Your motivations for being so passionate against this are questionable.

We could equally ask... why are you so fixated on what people Jimmothy backed in the past? Are you part of the Novello team in disguise?

Let us look at the facts.

No evidence right now to support either fraud or scam or that they are a reliable company. Better to be very hard on them and demand real answers regarding their key management and design team. You don't throw out a proposal like they have unless they have a team. Maybe they are hiding something or someone as they don't seem to want to show their team to anyone yet.

My motivations if you look at my previous posts you will see where I stand on these things I have gone up against both companies and individuals and called them both out. But you are a hardware designer. You have an blatantly obvious conflict of interest coming on here and accusing them of anything. You gain from seeing them fail....hence my comment. Turning it on me....Its easy to claim I am a shill except I have also in other posts on their own thread stated they have to prove their point...I even suggested how. So my motives are not in question as I don't design hardware open source or not or have a financial gain here. I just want to see them legitimize themselves. Show a working prototype of their hardware for starters....and/or be at a trade show make more of a presence in the bitcoin community beyond a virtual one. Wallets open when real proof of virtual claims are made. In this case that is what they need to do.

However considering the number of people on here who come at companies when they themselves are involved with their own project is underhanded and shady by itself.

Was not thinking for a minute you were a member of the Novello team. My post was just for reference. There are way too many in these forums who have been paid to post. See Hash Fast as a perfect example. BFL as well and a few others most definitely use multiple accounts and paid backers or fanbois to turn the discussions in their favour or defame others especially if you can bring evidence to illustrate their wrong doings.

Anyhow I think most people get that they shouldn't put a single penny down on this. That is good for the community.

I see nothing.

No miner.

No hashing.

Let us see what BFL customers are posting shall we?

Code:
Imperial Monarch overclocked to 1.6TH/s = 1100W -1200W draw
(or about 100A @ 12Vdc).
Feed through 12 (6+ and 6 grnd) 18-20ga wires to two PCIe connectors
(550W-600W per connector).
Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
Or at best, yet another circuit card re-design/shipping delay.
Adding copper to the power supply plane on the card fixes the
power plane overheating issue, but one is left with the issue of getting the power into the card.

Not to mention the heat dissipation of ~3600 Btu (per card) each.
Enough to heat a small well insulated house in a Minnesota winter.

Assuming an 80% efficient supply, current draw "at the wall" will be
~1500W or 12.5A @ 120VAC (one supply per 15A circuit).

Pretty much condemns this card to one per 4u rackmount case.

Industry standard for 45u-48u racks is a power supply of 4Kw-4.5Kw per rack
(thermal dissipation into/out of the rack is designed to match this).

This means 3 overclocked Imperials per rack. Pretty low rack density
(4.8TH/s per rack).

Could you please stop ignoring completly your customers and answer the
question? Will we ALL get a compensation after 6 month of waiting or it's
just for the first batch of customers and F*** the rest?

Answer the question or I'll have to ask for a refund. I don't want to receive
my miner at 50bil difficulty without any compensation. Because if you don't
realize that already, it will go up like crazy (especially when KnC starts shipping)
and let's be honest they will probably do it before BFL since all shipping info from
BFL is completly unreliable.

Adding more copper to the power plane is a trivial change.
The new boards will be in KC on Thursday (I guess that's tomorrow...
I don't even know what day it is anymore.) last I heard... I will have
to verify that when I get back.

As a side note, if you are planning on doing any overclocking or running an
Imperial, please be sure your PSU has 16ga wire for the PCIe connectors.
If you have a cheap PSU that has 18ga wiring, you are going to be a very
sad panda at some point I would imagine. The warranty will not cover melted
connectors due to incorrect wire sizing. Most quality PSUs should have 16ga
wires for their PCIe connectors.

And it continues on and on...

Code:
I am so deeply sorrowed I had to req. a refund because my 20k order has
become so worthless after delay by delay, its like someone whom I loved ,
took of without a reason. I know it sounds disturbed/sick. But it's true

and on...

Code:
I don't think there is any debate as to who the market leader is.
KNC released their 28nm device in october. They are now racing to complete
their 20nm chip.

Yes BFL shipped a crap load of 65nm devices, maybe more than anyone
else but they won't publish numbers to verify one way or the other.

As far as shipping this month goes, I wouldn't hold my breath. They might
get a few boards out to media people and developers by the end of the
month, but realistically they won't be into full production before mid next
month if all goes perfectly from this point on.

Here's the math: next revision end of this week (or early next)
At least a week of testing before you can commit to a design
At least two weeks before you can have any volume of boards in your hands
Then they need to get their assembly line going which will take some time (figure another two weeks.)

This puts us in the middle of July, and that's if thins go perfectly from this point forward.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but I cant see how its possible to get any volume before mid July.

and on...

Code:
The very best case is July. The realistic best case is mid July. If even
one single thing doesn't go perfectly we are looking at August before you see any volume.

and on...

Code:
I purchased my order in March of 2013 and I know we have been compensated
once already because of the initial delay (As I initially bought 6 Monarchs, $28K total,
which then turned into getting 6 Imperial Monarchs and 6 additional 600GH Monarchs)
but now because of this delay is BFL still looking at another compensation? I know Josh
stated they were thinking about MBGH but he wasn't sure if that route would be taken.
Is there another route that BFL may go Josh?

Feel bad for these people.
