The promised report on 560Ti:
I have a regular 560Ti as well as the 560Ti 488 core edition. The latter one is way more performant. Unfortunately they are also hard to get (new cards are nearly impossible to find, but used ones may be available). Christian

Another option for anyone having trouble downloading from Mega is to get JDownloader and bypass the whole browser thing. It will download from tons of filehosts, including Mega. Make sure you go to .org and not .com to get it though! The .com is a scam site. Personally, I recommend the universal Java version. No one ever said, but I guess my using XP is the reason after all for me getting 2-3x the hashrate that others are getting on similar hardware? Surprised more people aren't setting up XP mining machines then.

Ahhh, thanks for the explanation Christian. I saw that mentioned in the readme, but I didn't think it could be the same thing since it was such a dramatic difference vs just being faster. That big of a potential difference is definitely worth highlighting then. Awesome work man, when I saw the speed difference I was like , lol.

my LTC donation address is in a printf statement in cudaminer.cpp (now cpuminer.c in the 07-13 version) and in the first posting in this thread, highlighted with smileys.

the auto-detect is a trade off between speed and accuracy. a long autotune option would be great for people who want to find the best setting to use (although the google docs list is a good place to start)

yes the most promising values to try are on that list
for my 560ti iv found the best results all add up to 128 32x4 and 64x2 and 16x8
if you use the debug option you can see this output (--debug or -D)
03:44:40] x1 x2 x3 x4 x5 x6 x7 x8 03:44:40] 1: 1.5| 3.1| 6.2| 6.2| 7.7| 9.2| 10.8| 9.8 kh/s 03:44:41] 2: 4.1| 6.2| 9.2| 12.3| 15.4| 18.5| 21.5| 24.6 kh/s 03:44:41] 3: 4.6| 9.2| 13.8| 18.5| 23.1| 27.7| 32.3| 29.5 kh/s 03:44:42] 4: 6.2| 12.3| 24.6| 24.6| 30.8| 36.9| 34.5| 49.2 kh/s 03:44:42] 5: 7.7| 15.4| 23.1| 30.8| 38.5| 46.2| 53.8| 61.5 kh/s 03:44:43] 6: 9.2| 18.5| 27.7| 36.9| 46.2| 55.4| 51.7| 73.8 kh/s 03:44:43] 7: 10.8| 21.5| 32.3| 43.1| 53.8| 64.6| 75.4| 86.2 kh/s 03:44:44] 8: 12.3| 24.6| 36.9| 49.2| 61.5| 73.8| 68.9| 98.5 kh/s 03:44:44] 9: 13.8| 27.7| 41.5| 55.4| 69.2| 66.5| 77.5| 73.8 kh/s 03:44:45] 10: 15.4| 30.8| 46.2| 61.5| 76.9| 61.5| 86.2| 98.5 kh/s ect
but the best values were not selected during autotune so i have to test promising results one at a time. they often dont match the result in debug since the time taken to find them there is so short

if you run the full debug you can get a list of all the values that dont crash your card but yeah then comes the hard part

readme fix in >>> Additional Notes <<< This does not support the Stratum protocol. To do stratum mining you have to run a local proxy.

> also what is up with stating copyright in the program ? > it comes with a text file called license.txt explaining info about the GNU license used.
Because the authors have a copyright, they can LICENSE the code under GNU GPL V2 or whatever license they choose and ENFORCE the license using plain old lawsuits, if so required.
I had so stick with the GPL because I built upon already GPL licensed code.

ESET NOD32 sees this new version as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) and warns against its installation. This didn't occur with the 4-22 or 4-30 versions.

In case Mega still plays up, here is a mirror:
|
“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.” “We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.” “It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

Note: Autotuned for ten minutes, it kept auto tuning and not mining, 209 rounds of autotuning. Went back to using the no-autotune switch. GT520
Greetings, what does/did your command look like? I have a GT 525M and can't get it running at all ( --no-autotune makes it run at 0.00 for all values while a lack of that command crashes the program (12 months old laptop running Win7) ) ~ apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I have 40+ pages of reading to go.
